However, there are things the TSAMS characters say that seem contradictory to how they act on screen.Earth says she didn't disown New Moon, Sun might say the same. But until the episode before Earth's kidnapping, it really seemed like the two of them had exiled New Moon even in those moments where he hadn't even done anything irreparable yet.If that harsh treatment of rejection and forced confinement had come after having committed a crime, we would have understood it better, but that was not the case 😔
Again i missed episodes, so i dont know how compariable it is-
I wanna say they didnt expect this to escalate to where it did and was running on hurt emotions. Getting those out to get a handle on 'Okay i have felt that emotion and now time has passed and calmed i can handle this actually'
Except that didnt happen so they didnt get a proper Think It Thru properly without a timelimit.

!DNDADS S2 EP34 SPOILERS!
im thinking about scary and hermie parallels some more.
both of them were abandoned by their dads. w their new parents, they both strove to be different from them and be their own individual person by putting on darker personas and acting. they both take advantage of peoples w crushes on them, while not allowing themselves to believe that anyone could actually love them nor should they try to love anyone themselves. they both sought out approval from parental figures, only to be met w disappointment. they both feel betrayed by everyone, unlovable to the point where they push people away and become depressed. they both deflect love and project hate in order to protect themselves, twisting peoples words to match what they believe they deserve.
but now scary is getting better while hermie is getting worse.

my michael in its current state would have approximately zero real thoughts on your michael beyond a barebones acknowledgement of the obvious but i imagine it might do something to his brain being like, his oppposite. an angel effectively destroyed by god's own hands in the quest for perfection, vivisected and hollowed out into little more than a divine machine, but also the fact that originally it so clearly had a major role in working with the souls of the virtuous and repenting dead. bro is dying and the fucking corpse of the reaper just pulled up can you imagine
LOSING my mind just thinking about it tbh...my michael really is kind of its opposite, mind still fully intact but with a body that had been ruined by his own hands in a botched copy of god's work. and in all the time he was alive, he aspired to be the perfect vessel of god's will, he did everything he could to be the shining of example of what an angel is, what is means to be a flawless servant. but he wasn't, not to him. in action, he was perfect, he followed every order without question and he led countless angels away from their potential wayward thoughts, but he was depressed. he always was. again, he didn't know what to call it and he often refused to acknowledge it, but to be perfect, to be like god (his name. his purpose.) he must harbor no sympathies for sinners, he must hate them fully without regret, without thought, and it must be natural. he hates so many of them. but he doesn't hate lucifer. when he is honest with himself, that guilt still consumes him, it has festered for millennia and underneath it his love is still there. he is imperfect. to love the worst of all sinners. the contradiction tears him apart and leaves him empty.
(death mentions under the read more)
ALL THAT TO SAY. everything about your michael would 100% fuck him up lmao it was hollowed out and made to be perfect, stripped of whatever michael was to be god's prime servant, and to my own michael that truly is an ideal. he has tried a thousand times to gut himself and your michael was "given" that, god himself made it new, without will, and to him that is what an angel should be. plus with it originally being more aligned with michael's role as an angel of death/psychopomp, he would try to find answers in it about what he's become. a dead body still with a halo like. LIKE. will he die, can he die, is he just stuck dead but without actually dying? and finally the fact that it's frozen alongside lucifer, that it's bound with him in hell in whatever capacity that is...my michael's really just been there mentally this whole time. he sees what he thinks he truly deserved despite the fear it must invoke to acknowledge. SO YEA. he's in a shit place and your michael would make him absolutely spiral because in it is reflected his twisted idea of what he should have been in every capacity and an empty reaper on top of that. the kind of reaper that would show up for whatever he is now. impassable and no longer of that role, showing him what his ideals look like in reality. and BOY. can't say how he would come away from that!!

one of my most favorite pet peeves is when someone talks about an old edgy game and is like "its a shame because you couldn't just make that nowdays it would NEVER have been allowed its a shame how we've fallen" but like you get to look at them in comparison to things we have now that are actively even more grusome than ever.
People say manhunt couldn't be released today because its too brutal but then the last of us has some extra brutal executions too, and don't even get me started on how the MK series is nowadays.
"they would have to censor the story so heavily today so im glad [blank] came out years ago" they say, as some weren't already censored to tone it down- a perfect example of that is always going to be Twisted Metal Black where they changed up Raven's, Dollface's, Agent Stone's, Preacher's, John Doe's story to simmer them all down and lighten the blow, expunging certain levels ambient sounds because the implications of domestic violence, and the changing of No-face's surgical cutscene to make it not as explicitly nasty and meanwhile modern games have been actively stepping it up to be even worse.
"Games are just too prudish nowdays we couldnt even get another ghostly desires LOL" and meanwhile the front page to steam is literally littered with hentai games. that do not hide the lewd and raunchy screenshots. sometimes its a freshly creampied pussy in your face. yeah that. Im sorry but there's so much god damn porn games that are available to buy and some of it is mainstream even (Huniepop for instance).
Back in the day NightTrap was rated as an Adult game. Now? It's T for teen because how tame it kinda is. We're not as prudish or pearlclutchy on literally any of these points as we used to be and thank fucking god for that- but literally take off the nostolgia goggles cause its fuckin blinding you sweetie

Hi! I hope you’re doing good in life.
What do you think of a phantom hourglass remake? Tbh I don’t know how they could remake it without basically remaking it from the ground-up. It would probably play more like windwaker, which I see as a both a good and bad thing. On the one hand, if it was more like windwaker a lot more people would probably play and it would be more popular since I know the touch controls were a turn off for most people for both Spirit Tracks and Phantom hourglass. But on the other hand, remaking it to be more like windwaker would make the game lose some of it’s previous identity. Like, Phantom hourglass was so unique because of the touch controls and the puzzles you can make and solve by having two screens and touch controls. And it was so nifty and handy to be able to write notes on your map. Idk, I still would like it to be remade in general even if it ends up a basically different game, but I wouldn’t change the story or the characters, especially Linebeck. The only other change I would make is the music. Phantom hourglass had rather weak themes, mainly because they re-used the same theme for the islands and the dungeons. The only songs that were really good were the few orginal tracks made for the game, so Linebeck’s theme, Oshus’s theme, both Bellum boss battle themes and the and that music that plays when you first follow the Ghost Ship. But what would you want out of a phantom hourglass remake?
Hey, I’m doing good, and I hope you are too!
I’ve thought a bit about a possible Phantom Hourglass remake, but not too much recently. I don’t really know if I’d want one, since you’d lose a lot of what really makes it special, and you can still play it through other means. I’m personally fond of the graphics and the music- yes, even the dungeon theme has grown on me- so I don’t really want a remake too badly, especially since I fear any additions/changes they might make with story or characters in a remake. The touch controls make it, and playing it on pc recreates that feeling decently well, but I don't think it'll be just the same if you had to control it with joysticks or anything.
Not to mention, there's so much emphasis on having the two screens, too, not just for map stuff, but almost every single boss had a mechanic related to the top screen! I have no fucking clue how you'd replicate that very well on something like the switch without just fucking with the mechanics altogether.
I would kill to hear some of Phantom Hourglasses tracks be orchestrated or otherwise rearranged in a higher quality. I wouldn't want any of the more notable themes altered in any way, no adding or removing of melodies and only very very small changes to the instrumentation, but I think it'd be neat to see what could be done with dungeon themes. I think a while back I had a fleeting desire to write some short tracks for each dungeon, with some ideas like mostly using instruments heard in Bellum's themes for the dungeons while each individual one gets a leading instrument unique to and reflective of the dungeon, while the Ghost Ship maybe gets a song that's a bit of a expanded version of the fog theme, while the Temple of the Ocean King could have slightly different themes the further in you got, starting with instruments more common to Oshus's theme or the great sea theme, while the further in you got the more instruments from Bellum's theme would be heard, plus some harpsichord thrown in for the hell of it.
Leave the original dungeon theme for stuff like the minor pyramids and some larger cave areas, idk. It's grown on me.
I think the only story rearranging I'd want is mayyyyybe unfridging Tetra? You could very easily shuffle some things around with her and just not damsel her for the whole game and honestly it'd still go off perfectly without a hitch. But you'd still have to deal with the World of the Ocean King being a whole other world, so either bring her and her crew in and have them as wandering ship npcs (the better idea) or just leave them out (not a good idea) but either way it's better than what they actually did. I just don't think I'd want it to switch to Tetra being a major reoccurring character tbh, the main character dynamics in PH are good as they are.
I think I like Phantom Hourglass too much as it is to really want a remake at all. I'd rather we get something like an anime adaptation. That's what I think about more. Give me animated Phantom Hourglass with some fun takes on the dungeons and fights and some fun slice of life stuff with the group between the islands what I want is a Phantom Hourglass anime
