something that people dont tell you about science research is that it's basically just 3-6 months of grinding with no results, then a whole bunch of exciting data and results all at once over about a week before the grinding starts again. chasing that dragon but instead of heroin it's an exciting output on a computer
#i tried 3 hail mary purifications earlier this week and i was gunna celebrate if even just one worked#all 3 worked! and i have 3 pure compounds in large enough quantities to actually characterise them!#i think that one of them might even be a new compound! i have to check the literature first to be sure but i know its rare at least#last week i was about to become the Joker but now i feel like i could skip with how excited i am#science
