11:00pm
pairings: Mikey x reader
summary: Sneaking out of you house with Mikey has always been a tradition of yours. You would always call it late date night...well not until you finally got caught.
warnings: curse words, arguing with your fictional dad. fluffy then angsty
w/c: 2.7k
Masterlist
“You got to hurry before I get caught, Mikey!”
“So what? I wouldn’t mind it.”
You were hanging from your bedroom’s balcony, Mikey was underneath you trying to brace your fall. He had his long tan arms in the air motioning for you to jump in them. After all the thousands of times, you did this it was still rocky. You and Mikey haven’t perfected the routine yet. You would think the more you snuck out of your own house you would have perfected it by now.
“Just jump baby…”
“We’re six feet in the air!” You shrieked out, You had your back facing him. Your attention was constantly going back and forth from Mickey and your bedroom door. The house was big enough that no one could hear what was going on but your older brother had a habit of coming into your room unannounced.
“I got you. Have I ever let you fall before?”
You thought back on the times that you were together. Not once has he ever put you in danger...well not intentionally but he would always protect you. You are always left unscathed from dangerous situations. “Okay, I’m letting go..” The cold feeling of the rail left your embrace, your feet were no longer planted on the other side of the balcony. You were free-falling six feet in the air. Your eyes remained closed until you felt his muscular arms around your body.
“I told you that I got you.” You opened your eyes to see his soulless black eyes that you admired so much. That iconic smirk that you loved was as well. Why is he so perfect?’
“Come on, we’ll be late.”
After gracefully putting you on your feet, you both ran in the direction of his bike. It was too loud for him to pull in your driveway so he tends to park down the street so your parents wouldn’t awake from his engine roaring.
Mikey helped you onto his CB205T. It was his favorite bike out of all of them. This was the only bike of his that he would never let you drive. You would beg him to let  you drive it but he would say ‘I don’t want you getting hurt.’ You rolled your eyes at the thought.
He placed his old helmet on your head, tying it tightly, he gave you a small pat on the head. You smiled sweetly back at him, he was so cute and kind. It was the small gestures that he did that made you fall even more in love with him.
Mikey sped off towards the destination. He never told you where you were going, he only said get ready by 11 pm and don’t ask any further questions. Lately, this has been a recurring event, Mikey has made it your thing. He’d pick you up, drive around on his bike for a few minutes so you both could see the city lights then he would take you somewhere random. It always ends up being the best night of your life.
“Hey, we’re here.” You lifted your head from his shoulders blades, It was your way of keeping things from flying into your eyeballs. You were in an abandoned parking lot which was odd, there was no human activity, barely any street lights, however, there was a great view from where you stood. This abandoned parking lot was above a cliff, it leads out to the city of Tokyo.
“Wow, this is amazing.”
“I found it and thought you would like it. You can see everything from this view. If you look towards the right you can see the cherry blossom trees. They’re in season.”
“Really!?” You took a look towards the right, there were rows of cherry blossom trees lined up with small humans taking pictures. A river not too far away from the trees, it was filled with the petals of the cherry blossoms. “That’s so freaking beautiful. How could such an anti romantic be romantic?”
You caught him rolling his eyes, he threw a quick yet soft jab in your ribs.
“You’re annoying,” he muttered out. Although it came out dry you knew he would never call you that intentionally.
“You love me don’t ya.”
You grinned from ear to ear waiting for him to acknowledge what you said. The thing is he didn’t, he kept his attention on the people down below. This didn’t stop you from cheesing like an idiot though.
He scoffed, rolling his eyes simultaneously. You wouldn’t allow that grin to disappear. You kept it on your face even when Mikey turned to look at you.  “If I say yes will you stop teasing me?”
“Nope.”He reached out grabbing you around your waist. He swung you around making your legs swing in every other direction. You begged him to stop. The amount of laughter that you were crying out helped make a cramping sensation in your stomach.
He finally put you down after spinning you around. After calming down for your “game” You both walked back to the edge watching the cherry blossom trees.
You placed your head on his shoulder, his arms snake around your waist pulling you in closer. You didn’t retreat, you only placed your hands around his neck. “Hey, don’t you think it’s crazy how many people live in our city? Out of all those people I managed to find you.” You mumbled into his neck.
“That was so cheesy.” He snorted out,  he ruined the moment which earned him a jab in the ribs. “Wait here me out. Maybe it’s the university trying to tell us something.”
“What if it’s just a phase? Who says we won’t grow apart?”
You felt him squeeze you tighter against him, “Then we’ll just grow apart. If it’s meant to be, we'll see each other again.”
There was a silence cast around you two. Mikey released you from his grasp, You leaned over the railing to take in the view. Everything was going so well tonight. You felt Mikey’s arms wrapping around your waist again, he turned you around so you were both facing each other. That cheeky smile that he always wore was evidence that he was happy, he was living in the moment right along with you.  An outburst of laughter erupted from both of your lips, you still were in each other arms but you couldn’t seem to stop laughing.
“What’s so funny?”
“I just realized that I’m in love with someone. How bizarre is that?”
“I lo-”
Your sentence was cut short, the vibration in your pants pocket made all of the blood drain from your face. You reached down to pull out your phone, the screen read ‘dad’. You didn’t answer it, you only let it ring.
“Fuck! I have to go home. We have to go now!”
Mikey stood there with a blank expression on his face, you snapped your fingers in his face to get his attention, shoving your face in his phone to see who called you.
“What’s going on? Who was that?”
He grabbed your phone from your hand so he could get a clear look at your screen. By you shoving the phone in his face he could barely see the name on the screen. The only thing he did was say “oh” and left it like that. He shoved his hands in his pockets with a nonchalant attitude.
“Why are you just standing there!? Come on Mikey!”
You tried pushing him towards his bike, he only stood there holding his ground. His hands were still in his pockets as he did you.
He sighed, “What’s the difference? You’re already out past your curfew, what's a little more hours.”
“Are you crazy!” You screeched, “It was my dad! We have to go!”
For the second time of the night, a cast of silence was between you two. The only thing that was heard was your heavy breathing from yelling at him and the traffic from down below. Mikey still had that blank expression on his face until he smiled.
“It was a joke. Come on, I'll get you home.”
“Manjiro Sano!!”
Mikey grabbed your hand making your entire body jerk forward, “You better hurry before you’re late.” His laughter filled the air, it made you feel a little better. Mikey helped you get safely on his bike before doing the same with himself. He let the engine pur twice making your heart beat along with the engine.
“You ready?” He looked back at you with a smirk on his face. He licked his lips a little before making his engine roar a little.
“Yeah.”
He sped off into the night dodging cars nearly crashing into them. Mikey was a great driver and very cautious. He just tends to get wild at times. Sometimes you think he forgets that you’re on the back of his bike. He’s always zoned out when he drives, it’s like he was in his own little world.
It didn’t take long for you to get home. The word speed limit was not in Mikey’s dictionary. Mikey turned off the engine of his bike. You were down the street from your house, you could clearly see the light in the living room. You cursed silently under your breath, “I’m so screwed.”
“Just climb into your bedroom window and pretend to be asleep. If he asks why you didn't pick up your phone, say that you were asleep.”
“Okay, what if that doesn’t work?”
He glanced back at you with determination in his eyes, “Then call me.”
“Yeah, I like the first option better.”
Mikey stood back watching you as you ran in the direction of your house. You ran to your window just staring at it. It was six feet in the air so your only option was to climb the tree and somehow jump from the tree to your balcony.
You began to climb the big oak tree in your yard. Mikey tried to help you from down below. He stood there with his hands on his hips smiling up at you. “How’s it going up there?”
“Well you know I’m just hanging around.”
You both cracked up at your corny joke.
The only thing left to do was put your foot on the balcony while balancing yourself on the tree. Mikey stood down below with the same stance, he was making sure that you did not fall. You silently counted in your head before throwing yourself onto your balcony. You tumbled a little, some bruising was definitely going to be there in the morning.
“Did you make it!?”
You used the wooden poles on your balcony to help you pull yourself up. Mickey was still down below but now hiding behind the big oak tree. You gave him a thumbs up, he smiled back in return, running leaving you behind with the situation up ahead.
“Welcome back” You didn’t even take a step into your room and your dad had already slid the door open scaring you half to death. He slid the balcony door open further allowing you to come into the room. “Why didn’t you tell your boyfriend to come in for a snack?”
You made your way to your bed wishing that you could shrink down into a little ball. The sarcasm in his voice didn’t make it any better. Your dad was pissed, the vein that was protruding from the side of his forehead looked like it was going to pop.
“Uhh, he’s shy.” You gave your dad a dry chuckle but stopped when he shot you an ugly glare. He sat down in the chair in front of your bed with one of his legs over the other and one of his hands pressed against his forehead.
“How did you guys meet!?”
“At school dad.” You mumbled, he was already starting to yell.
“How!? I sent you to a private school.”
You almost laughed in your dad’s face, the memory of meeting Mikey was always funny. It was a running joke in your relationship.
“Well, Mikey came into our classroom to fight our teacher. BUT! He had a good reason. Mikey was driving his bike when Toka-san almost ran him off the road. Mikey followed him to school and beat the living shit out of him. I thought it was hot so I approached him and the rest is history.”
“What’s the matter with you?” He shot out of his chair waving his arms in the air. “Why would you want to date someone like that!? You’re an (L/N), live up to that name. Don’t be a fucking disappointment.”
You scoffed at your dad. This time you made it audible for not only him to hear but anyone else that is listening. “Dad, that's rude!”
“I don’t want you ever classifying yourself as one of them. He’s a delinquent, a gangster, you have more class than that. You can find someone better than him. I will not have my daughter running around here with a delinquent.”
“He’s not a delinquent!”
“Then what is he!?”
You ignored his question. You didn’t want to answer it. You knew that Mikey classified himself as that but to you, he was much more than what people portrayed him to be. These fucking millennials and their biased opinions. You were not going to let him bash your boyfriend and get away with it.
“He’s Mickey Sano. You shouted, you jumped off of your bed so now you were facing your dad eye to eye. “He’s much more than a delinquent or a gangster. He’s a human being so start treating him like one. Oh and if you’re going to label him at least label him right. He’s much more than a delinquent, he’s actually smarter than what you make him out to be.”
Your dad sat back down in his chair. This allowed you to look down on him but then it hit you. You were never this confident, You...standing up to your dad. Just wait until Mikey here’s about this. All of those conversations about boosting your confidence have paid off.
“Yeah alright keep believing that. He’s only here for one thing and one thing only (Y/N). Once he gets that he’s out of here.”
Jokes on you he’s already got it and look, he’s still here.
You didn’t say that to your dad, you knew he would only blow up in your face more. Then lecture would then cause your entire family to get dragged in. He would go on a manhunt to find Mikey and “kill him.
“Okay, dad, whatever you say.”
You grew tired of all of this back and forth with him. You weren’t going to argue with him anymore, so you sat down on your bed awaiting the next thing he had to say.
“If I catch you out with him again I’ll treat you like a real princess and lock your ass up here for the rest of your life.
You scoffed out loud for him to hear, the vein in his forehead was now back more evident than before.
“I knew I was going to get in trouble but dad, punishments are temporary, memories are forever. So while I’m grounded I’ll be thinking about how good he has been to me while you have been treating me like trash.”
“That’s it you are grounded until next summer.”
“Okay, dad.” You mocked out.
“One more thing if I catch that Mickey, Micheal-” You cut him off, “Mikey, his name is Mikey.”
Your dad rolled his eyes, he walked to the door opening it. Half of his body was already outside of the room. You were wishing he would just put his whole body out there and leave you alone.
“If I see that Mikey boy around here again I’m calling the cops.” Your dad stood there for a second before closing the door. Once alone you throw your head in your pillows.“Snitch.” You mumbled.
He came back into the room with an irritated look on his face. His eyebrows were so close together it looked like they were about to merge. “What did you say?”
You tried your best to keep your laughter at bay but you couldn’t help yourself. “Nothing.” You snorted out. He stood there with the same expression, you couldn’t hold it in any longer. You were about to burst out in a laugh. You waited for your dad to leave the room so you could laugh at the way he looked at you after you called him a snitch.

Meeting Raph
Warning: Swearing and Major Character Injury
Pounding heart, pounding feet, that's all Raphael could focus on in his blinding rage.
It wasn't a good day, to say the least.
It started when he woke up this morning to having Splinter chew him out for being out late with Casey the night previous. As furious as he was with his father, he had enough control to take it out on his old punching bag instead.
Bang!
Damn I ain't a kid anymore! I knew what I was doin'!
Bang!
Why does Masta Splinta gotta be up in ma shell?! Does he think I'm not good 'nuff or somethin'?
Bang!
I CAN HANDLE MASELF!
With every one of these intrusive thoughts whispering against Raph's ear, the angrier he got. It wasn't until a gentle hand landed on his shoulder that he realized he wasn't alone.
Swinging a fist out in retaliation, the figure darted back to avoid being pummeled.
When his vision cleared, Raph saw Leo was trying to get his attention.
"Easy Raph, it's just me." Leo called out softly.
Typically, Raph would snap back a remark to get Leo to leave him alone, that he didn't give a rat's ass what was happening, just to have Leo back off.
But something was different with Leo this time around. Something in his brother's eyes scared Raph, like the ocean he often saw in the leader's eyes turned into a hurricane of emotion.
Immediately Raph's anger stifled.
"Leo, what's goin' on? What's wrong?" Raph responded in his heavy accent.
"It-it's Casey, Raph. He's in the hospital." Leo spoke in a low voice, keeping eye contact with Raph.
Pure rage flared in Raphael once more.
"WHAT?!"
"April and Don found him surrounded by the foot, Karai leading the ambush. She knew Casey is close to us and was trying to get information out of him. Don was able to take the remaining foot down while April rushed him to the hospital in the Shellraiser. They-" Leo paused, biting his lip. He seemed to be struggling with giving Raph the harsh truth.
He blinked tears out of his eyes and Raph tensed. It took alot to make Leo cry, the leader often internalizing his own emotions for the sake of his brothers. For Leo to be this shaken, things couldn't be good.
Leo continued, placing a reassuring hand on his younger brother's shoulder, stealing himself enough to talk.
"They don't think he's going to make it."
Like taking a physical punch to the stomach, Raph doubled over. His legs were shaking, his heart racing in frustration, shock, heartbreak and fury.
His best friend got hurt, and he wasn't able to save him.
It's all ma fault! I shoulda walked 'im home! He said he was fine! I shoulda known!
Now he's gonna die and....and it's all...
ALL MA FAULT!
Raph felt the tears run down his cheeks. He was barely aware of turning and taking off through the sewers.
He heard his family calling his name, telling him to stop and chasing after him.
He didn't care.
All he could see was red.
He would kill the damn bitch for what she's done if it was the last thing he'd ever do.
"RAPHAEL WAIT! THEY'RE TRACKING US!" Don's voice boomed out.
Raph didn't stop. He didn't care. Let them try. I just meant he got to fulfill his promise even sooner.
"RAPH WAIT! THEY'LL HURT YOU!" Mikey cried out, right on Raph's heals. Enraged, Raph took a sharp right and Mikey was left skidding, trying to regain his footing and his balance.
Raph could see the manhole cover now, not even three feet infront of him.
"RAPH AS YOUR LEADER I ORDER FOR YOU TO STOP!" Leo's voice rang in the sewer, but all Raph could hear was the blood rushing in his ears.
He broke through.
The manhole popped and fell to the side with an audible crash to the left. Before it could hit the ground, Raph had scaled the building and was jumping onto the next roof.
He was running. Running towards Foot Headquarters. To end them once in for all.
He was vaguely aware of how sinister it sounded and he knew he wasn't acting like himself.
He didn't care.
The sound of thunder boomed overhead.
Raph didn't stop.
Lighting crashed behind him. It only furthered his adrenaline.
"HELP! HELP ME!"
At the sound of a scream, Raph stopped in his tracks.
It was like the voice had snapped him back into focus, he needed to find the source of the voice before it was too late.
His pounding heart slowed and in the moment, only one thought became clear.
I can't let anyone else get hurt 'caz of meh. I failed Casey, I ain't gonna let anyone else get hurt.
Another scream and Raph was taking off towards the left, trying to see who was danger.
A few buildings down and he saw her.
Standing there, wet (h/c) hair a dirty and tangled mess, you stood there holding onto a gun and aiming it at the ninjas, a fallen officer bleeding out by your feet.
You were wearing a red sweater and a black skirt that was soaking in the rain. Your (e/c) eyes were wide with fear.
"Stay back!" You roared in a voice louder than Raph thought was human.
The black ninjas parted to reveal a lean female, dressed in silver armor, carrying a katana glistening with blood. She had dark, black almond eyes with fair skin, her smile as deadly as the blade in her hands.
Karai.
It took all of Raph's self control not to jump down there and kill the foot that instant. He knew he needed to plan the moment right, otherwise you might not make it out of there alive.
"Y/N, was it?" Karai drawled, making you shiver.
"If you want to kill me get on with it. You know I'm not going down without a fight!" You snapped, eyes blazing with a fire Raph didn't expect. It was the same fire he saw in his own reflection everyday.
Karai laughed.
"You idiot. If I wanted you dead, I would have already killed you." She hissed, taking a menacing step forward.
You stepped back, raising the gun.
"THEN WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" You roared, acting tough despite your shaking hands.
"Your help. Or rather, your fathers. I wonder what he would give up to see his pretty little girl come home safe." As the words left Karai's mouth, the ninja's made their move towards you.
Now.
Just as Raph jumped off the building, you pulled the trigger. The bullet buried itself in Karai's arm, who screamed in pain.
Raph took the opportunity to slash her with his sai. She saw the move coming and tried to block it, but not before a shallow cut was made against her throat.
Gasping in pain, she stumbled back as Raph pummelled the other ninja's that were trying to make their way towards you.
"Retreat!" Karai rasped out.
The ninja's picked up their leader off the ground and took off, but not without throwing a few shuriken your way.
"Look out!" Raph yelled as he ran towards you, using his body to shield you from the projectiles.
Wrapped up in his arms, you took a good look at your hero, the figure that was so fast that you hadn't the opportunity to see him before.
You heard him cry out.
The final shuriken had buried itself in his leg.
He fell to the ground with a heavy thump, the shuriken digging into his green flesh.
You didn't think twice.
Rushing to his side, you took off your sweater and ripped it, tying it around the wound to stop the bleeding. Now, in your black tank top, you reached into your bag and brought out your first aid kit, pulling out antiseptic wipes.
"This is going to hurt," You warn him.
He couldn't keep his eyes off you. You, a human, who just saw an officer die before your very eyes, was threatened to be held hostage and shot a goddamn gun was suddenly helping out a giant mutant ninja turtle without a second thought.
Raph felt his heart soar.
The application of the antiseptic has the terrapin hissing in pain. You winced at the sound but then proceeded to pull out medical needle and string.
As you threaded the needle, Raph found it in himself to ask you a single question.
"Why aren't ya afraid of me?" He called out in a hoarse whisper.
You cocked an eyebrow up, eyes never leaving from your task.
"I'm a nurse. I have seen much worse. But I must admit, this has has to be one of the strangest cases I had. Top five for sure."
Raph gave you a low laugh and you smiled to yourself. You considered it a personal win if you could make your patients laugh.
Your eyes finally met his and you gasped.
Golden irises burned into yours, with a passion so fierce it seemed to pull at your very soul.
You couldn't look away. Neither could he.
"My name's Y/N." You said, a little breathless.
Raph smiled.
"I'm Raphael."

Twelve Days of Jack (December 20 - Day 7)
Summary: When Sarah is invited to casually hang out with her Friend With Benefits, Jack, and his group of friends, things suddenly get a lot more serious than she bargained for.
Word count: 1.3K
[A/N] This mini series all takes place in the run up to Christmas. Each chapter takes place the day it is uploaded.
Day One - Day Two - Day Three - Day Four - Day Five - Day Six
Having learnt their lesson from the previous trip to Winter Wonderland, they took a bus this time. Jack clearly didn’t do this very often, fumbling with his Oyster card when they got on and acting genuinely surprised when there was no place for them to sit.
“This is how the normal public travels, Jack.” Sarah told him, grabbing onto a pole.
“I could get used to this.” He responded. He awkwardly grabbed one of the loops above his head to hold to steady himself. “I’ve taken buses before, you know. Just not in London.”
“You’re loyal to Uber.”
“Exactly. Uber and my own car.”
--
By the time they needed to get off the bus Jack had of course forgotten where he had put his Oyster, so he stood there patting all his pockets until he realised he’d put it in his phone case, grinning awkwardly at the annoyed looking bus driver.
“Lead the way.” Sarah told him when they got out.
He offered her his arm, and although she was a bit surprised by it, she hooked her own through his and followed him.
“Have you ice-skated before?” He asked.
“Yeah, my grandparents used to take me and my brother skating every year during Winter.”
“So I’m at a disadvantage here?”
She laughed, “You can’t ice-skate?”
“I mean I’ve done it like once before. Wouldn’t say I’m a natural.”
“Ah, I’d love to see that. Why did you even suggest this?”
“To be honest, I was hoping we could be bad at it together. I did not think this through.”
“I’ll pretend to be bad, if you want. Use one of those penguin things for children.”
“You can be my penguin.” He winked and she playfully hit his arm.
--
They had to rent some skates as neither of them owned a pair, and as they sat tying them under Jack was already laughing softly at what was to come. “You think I look ridiculous now? Wait till I try to stand up.”
She watched as he got to his feet, wobbling unsteadily on the thin pieces of metal.
“You’re doing just fine.” She said encouragingly, getting up herself.
“Race you to the rink.” He said suddenly, attempting to run away on his skates but only really succeeding in making a fool of himself.
Sarah laughed and let him shuffle ahead, following closely behind him.
He set a tentative step onto the ice, moving his foot back and forth a bit to see how slippery it was, and then setting his other foot forward too, tightly holding on to the barrier.
“How’s that?” She asked as she joined him.
“Alright.” He responded. He pulled himself over the ice along the fence for a bit before carefully letting go and pushing himself onto the track. “I’ve got this.”
He started slow, but quickly picked up a rhythm and soon enough they were skating laps together.
He looked cute, Sarah had to admit, with his nose red from the cold, his scarf wrapped tightly around him and his hat pulled so far down she couldn’t even see his eyebrows. He was in utmost concentration, gently biting his lower lip and narrowing his eyes. She could see herself falling head over heels in love with this boy and was afraid that was exactly what she was doing, even though she was supposed to only be sexually attracted to him. He was just too sweet and cute and funny to only want to fuck; she also wanted to cuddle him while they fell asleep and kiss his forehead before she left the bed. She wanted him to be the one she came to when she was upset and the person who brought her tea when she was so busy she forgot to take care of herself. She wanted every part of him and it was scary to admit, even to herself.
His proud smile when he skated towards her was almost too much. She grinned back at him and couldn’t resist pulling him in for a kiss.
“Maybe I’m a natural after all.” He beamed.
“Race you around the track?”
He didn’t even respond, eager to get a head start on her. She quickly followed him, tapping the back of his head when she passed him. “Years of experience.” She shouted.
“You’re lucky it’s too dangerous to trip you up or rugby tackle you.” He said, completely out of breath, when they met at the finish.
“Of course you would play dirty.”
“Says the person who challenged me to a race even though this is only the second time I’ve ice-skated.”
She laughed and pulled him in for another kiss.
--
When Jack had both of his feet back in his shoes he dramatically stood up and pranced around, “Sweet, steady floor. How I’ve missed you.”
She rolled her eyes but laughed.
--
They got hot chocolates at a stall and tried to warm their cold fingers by wrapping their hands tightly around the cups. They looked like a couple, huddled together on a bench, chatting with their heads close together and smiles on their faces. Sarah almost felt like they actually were.
Jack was rambling on about a video he’d filmed with Joe that morning, telling her how funny it’d been and how badly he’d lost some challenge to him. His happy laugh more than anything drew her in, making her hang on to every word he said.
“I’m filming again tomorrow, with Josh and Conor I think, but plans might change. We’re not too good at sticking to plans but in this case that doesn’t matter much. Mikey’s probably coming around too because he gets sick when he’s not been near me for three hours.”
“Aw, don’t be mean.”
“The guy’s like attached to me. I love him though. Don’t tell him that, he’ll never shut up about it.”
“I’m sure he knows.”
“Yeah, but I’m a cool guy, I’m not supposed to say that.”
“Fragile masculinity and all.”
“Exactly. People might start thinking I have feelings, which I don’t.”
“Obviously.”
“Obviously.”
--
They went back to Jack’s place after that, ordering Dominos in and watching some crappy reality TV show that neither of them was really paying attention to. In between bites they talked about everything and nothing, from funny stories to family issues to favourite films.
Sarah even invited him to come to a Dungeons and Dragons game sometime, just to check it out. She didn’t have to ask Kailee; she knew she’d be cool with it. More than cool, even. Kailee was dying to meet Jack and judge him for herself.
By the end of the night, after a few glasses of wine, she suggested she should get home, and although he pulled a pouty face he didn’t object. He hadn’t tried anything with her all night, even though they’d definitely kissed more than enough to give him the opportunity to do so.
“See you later.” She told him at the door, leaning in to kiss him goodbye.
“I’ll walk downstairs with you.” He said. He quickly put on a random pair of shoes and followed her outside.
“You don’t have to. It’s cold.”
“No, no, it’s fine.”
He took her hand as they walked to the lift. “This was a fun day.”
“Yeah, it was.” She smiled at him, “We should do this more often.”
“I agree.”
When her Uber drove up he finally let go of her hand, but he gave her a final quick kiss before he did so, “See you.”
“See you.”
She gave him a quick wave before getting in the car.
