Do you think Chay figured out that it was Kim who protected him at the Hum Bar?

great question, nonnie! i'm inclined to say yes... mostly bc i want it to be a stepping stone to them sorting stuff out and healing :') so i guess my opinion is pretty biased there. HOWEVER. @wildelydawn (my beloved) wrote a lovely fic that starts with chay finding kim's necklace at the bar.... which was a detail i didn't even notice until rewatching. kim does lose the necklace during the fight 👀👀

(at least i'm 99% sure he did, unless it's hiding under that lovely, symbolic white shirt :D also the screenshot quality is terrible, but the second pic... gremlin core 🥰)

so if we follow dawn's fic (and i personally do, it's excellent), chay finding the safety pin necklace would mean that he 100% figures out that it was kim. necklace aside, though, i like to think he'd figure it out eventually. i mean, who else could it have been? porsche, maybe, but he was busy, and i don't think he would have just. left chay there with the bodies. the youngest mafia son kind-of ex boyfriend though? yeah, that definitely tracks

this is probably too long of an answer for such a simple question, and it's funny that i took it as an excuse to post about one of my fave kimchay fics lol, but that's what i think about that :)
