Hey!! Could you write a song fic with Thorin? I was thinking of a gender neutral reader who's trying to get through to Thorin while he's under the dragon sickness and the song is Know Who You Are from Moana. Thanks!!
Hello lovely! I hope you enjoy it ❤️
Your eyes followed Thorin as he paced in Thror’s treasure room, “I have crossed the horizon to find you…” You mumbled to yourself, seeing him send more gold flying in his wild search. Your years of searching for your One led you to him. But this wasn’t him.
This was a deranged, obsessed version of him. You almost couldn’t recognize him.
“Do you know who I am?” You heard him yell again, “I know your name…” You whispered, “... And holding the title of a king doesn’t change it.” Noting how as soon as he had his grandfather's crown placed upon his head he was changed.
As the Company filed out of the room, not wanting to face his wrath anymore, you sighed.
“Thorin,” You began, carefully walking up behind him. “This isn’t you,” You continued, carefully placing a hand on his shoulder. His calloused hand shoved yours aside, “You know nothing,” He spat, eyes narrowed and swirling with greed.
Dragon sickness is the worst thing that can fall upon someone.
“No, Thorin, I do know. I know that this gold, this stone… They have stolen the heart from inside you!” You may have been yelling, you couldn’t tell, the gold around you filling your senses. But instead of filling you with greed and possessiveness, it repulsed you.
Thorin’s eyes widened in shock, some form of anguish coming over his features as he processed your words. “-But this does not define you,” You continued, putting your hand on his shoulder again. “This is not who you are, Thorin… You are not a gold thirsty dragon, you are my One,” You felt tears swell up in your eyes.
“You know who you are, Thorin…” You let your hand drop as he gave no response.
“And this isn’t it.” You sighed, shaking your head. “I want my One back, damn all this gold in this hoard, I want you! Not this!” You finished, your voice shaking as you stepped back and turned to follow your fellow Company members to eat dinner.
“Amrâlimê,” Thorin began, causing you to turn to face him once more. His eyes no longer swirling with madness, his expression seemingly broken, face like a lost child. “Mahal what have I done…” He trailed off, looking around to see the things he had broken in his rage for trying to find the stone.
“Thorin?”“I am so sorry,” Blue eyes swelled up with tears, realization finally hit him that he could’ve lost you.
Carefully moving forward, Thorin pulled you into his arms, kissing your temple. “I am so sorry amrâlimê, please forgive me, I-I..”
“I know who you are Thorin, and that monster wasn’t you… I forgive you,” You responded, your face pressed into the crook of his neck, your arms wound around him as well.

Hello! I really love your writing, you're amazing at it. If it's no bother (you don't have to do this) could you maybe write something along the lines of a Thranduil x reader, where he somehow manages to come to our world, and the reader finds him. The reader works as maybe a costume designer or something for the hobbit. But sorry if this is weird and confusing!
I love this request! I hope you enjoy it lovey!
“Goodnight!” You called over your shoulder to your fellow co-workers who were leaving the set for the evening. “Staying late, (Y/N)?” Martin asked in polite curiosity as he put on his jacket, he too getting ready to head out for the evening.
“Yeah, Peter wanted another look for Thranduil so I’m going to be costume-making tonight,” You laughed happily, you were a team player but working alone on projects always worked more smoothly for you. “Ahh, good luck then,” Martin nodded to you, bidding you goodnight as he too left the building.
Going to the fabric room, you pulled several silk fabrics as well as silver patterned ones. This was going to be for the scene where the dwarves arrive in Mirkwood, laying out the fabric you began cutting the design when you heard a bang in the other room. “Maybe someone didn’t leave just yet?” You convinced yourself, but the curiosity in your bones screamed for you to check it out.
“Maybe this will be a cliche horror movie,” You scoffed, deciding to investigate despite your common sense saying it was safer in your costume design room.
“Anyone there?” You called out, flicking on the lights as you walked. “Who’s there?” Thranduil questioned, panic taking over him. One moment he was in a meeting with his war general and captain of the guard then the next he’s falling into a box of clothing. “Lee?” You questioned, a smile on your face, “What’re you doing here so late, filming doesn’t start again until tomorrow?”
Thranduil quirked a brow, whoever this woman was, she knew him. “My name isn’t Lee, it’s Thranduil.”
“Well technically yes, in the film you are Thranduil, why are you still in your costume?” You asked, the smile still on your face as you went along with his theatrics. “This isn’t a costume, human, this is traditional Elven garb,” Thranduil growled, beginning to get impatient. Raising a brow at him, you weighed your options. “Just a second…” You mumbled, pulling out your phone and quickly began texting.
(Y/N): Hey, do you remember what length Peter wanted your tunic to be?
You looked up to Lee- Thranduil, to see him watching you with confusion as the light box shined in your face. Keeping your eyes on him, you waited.
Ping
You felt yourself jump as your eyes snapped back down to the screen. Opening the message your eyes widened.
Lee: I believe he wanted it to be a little below the hips and flaring out in the back?
“Holy shi–” You stopped yourself as you put your phone back in your pocket. “So you’re actually… Thranduil…” You choked out, not wanting to believe your own eyes. “That’s what I’ve been saying.” Thranduil narrowed his eyes. “Now, can you help me out of this box? I think I’m stuck.”
.
.
.
“I’m home!” You called out as you entered your apartment, your voice tired and stressed as you walked to the counter to drop your bag and keys. “Thranduil?” You called when he didn’t come to greet you like usual.
You and Thranduil became friends after that night. You brought him to your apartment, gave him new modern clothes, and sought to teach him about his new surroundings.
Slight panic filled your chest as you searched the apartment, peeking your head into room after room. Still nothing.
Sitting down on the armchair you looked out the window, hurt filling your chest as you realized he may have been returned to his world. “You could’ve let me say goodbye…” You grumbled, staring at the cloudy sky.
Behind you, the door creaked open as Thranduil returned from his outing, “When did you get home?” Thranduil questioned, making you jolt out of your skin. “I thought you were taken back!” You announced, your hand over your chest as you tried to calm your heart. Thranduil’s eyes softened, “And not tell my melda? (My beloved)” Raising a brow at the foreign words, Thranduil waved you off.
“You’ve been teaching me a lot about this world, and I know that taking care of two people can be difficult on a single income… I went out to see if I could get a job of some sort to help you, after all, you are stuck with me,” Thranduil shrugged off the jacket that you bought him, removing the fluffy ivory scarf and hanging it on the rack like how you’ve shown him before. His shoes slowly taking their place next to yours by the door as well.
“Thranduil–” You began, beginning to tell him it was alright before he shushed you, “I may have lost my kingdom, but I have not lost my pride.”
Looking back to the window you let out a laugh as you heard the shuffling of feet on the wooden floor, Thranduil disappearing into the kitchen. Straining your ears, you felt a smile form on your face as you heard the kettle slowly hit the burners on the stove and the familiar sound of the burner turning on.
“You’re transitioning well,” You spoke loud enough for him to hear as you heard a pause in his movements.
“That’s because I have a caring human who taught me everything I know,” Thranduil responded after a moment.
Smiling you looked up to the sky as the rain began to pour against the glass.
“Who would’ve thought that the person who I was designing a costume after would be falling into my care…” You hummed.
I may do a part two but we shall see.
