I love how 20 degree weather can break me down to my bare essentials. It’s not like it’ll be twice as hot as that later this summer or anything 🙃
#i remember during last year’s two day ~40 degree heatwave i had a doctor’s appointment and i had to walk to it#it was about half a mile and it was during the hottest time of day too; about 1pm#i literally felt like a man wandering in the desert. the air felt like a smog. i was wading through it#my brain was so foggy i managed to forget where exactly the surgery was and i was just walking up and down between co-op and the bus stop#like ‘??’ ‘????!’ ‘it has gone??????’#then i finally found it and went in#and then the doctor didn’t even help me lol so that was a waste of my time#i went to the co-op and bought a bunch of food that could be eaten cold because there was no way i was even using my microwave in that heat#and i also got a 1 litre bottle of water and drank half of it on the way home#and heard about how tesco had a power surge and had to throw out everything in their freezers. rip#that was a hell of a day. thoughts and prayers to the people who routinely experience those types of summers#because i don’t know how i coped that week#personal
