Crack theory, but what if the Highend fight mirrors the incident where the Thief Takami was arrested? Not literally of course, I doubt he's as strong as a Nomu. But I feel like Hawks was getting some flashbacks to then. Because Endeavor was reallyyy burning bright there, like how Ending described it as being 'a fierce solar flare' do you think it was on the news? Judging by the fanciful description, it wasn't an easy catch. Takami put up some kind of fight for Endeavor to use that much fire. (1)
An incident like this had to have gathered some kind of attention from the media right? It'd also have to taken place in Kyushu! Fukuoka City! Like with the Thief. I also can't help but wonder if like with Highend, could Touya or any of the Todoroki kids have seen the fight on the news? Watching from that far away in Shizuoka. So you see, it could be kinda similar. Or or, maybe we'll get another look at Keigo's high speed rescue. Could that and Endeavor arresting Takami be the same incident? (2)
Except I don't think so 'cause of how Hawks talked about it, it may have been an older one. But can we still take a look at that rescue! Where is that? I think you can see a wire fence in the corner, some wild flowers, there's a huge long truck, two cars. The car doors are open, did Keigo open them with his feathers or just drag them out quickly if they tried to escape the vehicle? There's trees, you can see the sky. There is background, no blank space. So then, whats that wall behind them? (3)
Am I blind, or is there 1) A person sitting on the car. 2) Hori just happened to draw smoke shaped like a person. (But it looks like there's a face there?) 3) Is it just ink, or does it look like there's some spikey-steps by that 'face.' Now that old man wearing the towel, I think he's the bus driver. Is that normal attire, or specific to a kind of worker? Was that an oil tank delivery? Again, are we at ground level or above it. What's the location? It's just that metal wall. (4)
Is it important? Some kind of resovoir or dam? Okay I know those are the wrong words, but I just can't remember what kind of area has walls like those. But I'd think it should be restricted where no tiny children should be wandering by themselves. I don't know what's behind it, but there's a road there I feel like that probably curves. Like on mountain paths? So even if there is something, the roads are okay for people that are just passing by. You just can't stop, there's no entry or exit. (5)
Part 6 in a way, same dumb anon blabbing about the flashback scene in 192. Upon closer inspection, that 'metal wall' I mentioned, it could just be a fence. Honestly, Horikoshi blacked out so much of the surrounding I can hardly tell where this is. There is some grey space between the blackness, between the shadowy mess and speech bubbles, in a criss-crossed pattern. So maybe not all of the blackness is just ink. Could something be growing over those fences? (6)
I'm so curious about what the anime would do for this, if we're ever gonna get elaboration on this scene later. There's not enough clarificarion, too many questions. I personally thought it was pretty sudden when Hori first dumped all this on us in the manga. Just enough, but not enough. Tells us, but still room to diverge into other directions. Starting to wonder if those trees actually are mountains, grassy ones like with the Pussycats. I'm sorry I keep rambling nonsense about this! (7)
First off anon, I want to congratulate you for sending me the longest ask I've ever recieved XD
I personally think that the rescue that got Hawks noticed by the HPSC and the rescue by Endeavor were seperate occurances. I think Endeavor saved Hawks first and then a couple of months later, probably inspire by Endeavors own actions, Hawks saved a bunch of people too and that got him on the commissions notice.
I am curious though how big of an arrest Takami the Thief was, what exactly his link is to Hawks (I'm hoping father), and what his exact crimes are other then the obvious. Also Ending's words are curious, did Endeavor have to use some of his big attacks against Takami in order to arrest him or was it just the ramblings of a stalker who saw Endeavor's flames for himself for the first time and was mesmorized. I can't even be sure if the fight was televised or anything due to the fact that Ending seemed to have watched the fight in person.
Looking at the rescue, my first thought was that it happened at a road side that usually have those concrete walls that block of the dirt from the raised land from shaking loose and falling onto the road due to the fact of how they're tilted and the fact that there doesn't seem to be a dent in the them despite the obvious collision with the truck. However, I have no idea why they're drawn like a chainlink fence. Now there is the question as to why Hawks would be in such a place to begin with but maybe it will be revealed (or retconned lol) when we learn more about his past.
I don't think there's anyone on the car though, anon, it's just the way the metal of the car has bent and the smoke and flames coming from the vehicle.
I'm curious to see what it looks like in the anime too, though, it might make it a bit clearer.
