going through the update and the thought struck me regarding a divergence in canon where princess leia begs the fairies to flee the castle with baby silver, where they journey deep into the dark woods of briar valley. the fairies know that they cannot properly care for the child, and in one last desperate act to preserve the innocent babe, they perform the sleeping spell as we know it in canon— only the one who would love silver truly could awaken him— and cast a ward of safety and perseverance around a tranquil glen where the child sleeps on a bed of moss and is adored by the various animals who come to think of him as one of their own over the centuries.

fast forward to four hundred years later when lilia stumbles across the child, awakens him, and then casts his own UM which only gives him the glimpse of the fairies casting their spell to protect and preserve silver until a peaceful world awaits him. the story plays out the same, with lilia taking silver in and raising him as an attempt to see if he could love humans, only this would lead to the entire diasomnia clan to discover the truth of silver's origins during the course of lilia's dream and ahhhhhhhhhhhh ohhh the drama!! the way it would impact the nature of silver and lilia's relationship!! the challenge of fated true love and the courage to love someone truly in the face of these revelations put to the ultimate test!!
