Jeremy's Baldurs Gate 3 Verse Information

Jeremy is a HALF-ELF Werewolf Ranger. 

Jeremy is an artist, a painter. In the art world he is somewhat well known and his paintings sell for quite a decent chunk of coin. This does unfortunately mean he has to travel into the cities to sell them. He makes infrequent trips, and once there he tries to leave as fast as he can. As a werewolf, a half-wood elf, and ranger - he just prefers being among the trees okay? It was on one of these trips that Jeremy was grabbed by the Nautiloid. Bad luck.

WEREWOLF

His pack resides in the South Wood forest, and he is the Alpha of his pack. His pack kept to themselves, not interested in getting involved in business that was not theirs. His pack also had a strict ‘no eating people’ rule that Jeremy enforced. If any werewolves came onto his territory and caused trouble and especially if they ate people - Jeremy and his pack would deal with them swiftly.

As a werewolf, he can turn into a Wolf form at will, as well as a ‘beast’ form. However, he does not like to use the beast form as he sees no point in it. He can change at any time at will, but he must change on the full moons. But while infected with the Tadpole, it restricts his ability to change into his other forms. He can do partial changes, such as turning his fingers into claws - but not a full change. He is not happy with this. Especially since he can still feel the call of the moon on full moons. It makes him a very grumpy werewolf close to and on the full moons

RANGER

As a Ranger and a Beast Master, Jeremy has a ranger companion. One might assume that the werewolf’s companion is a Wolf, and that would make sense. But it is not. It’s actually a on-the-smaller-size bobcat.

Her name is Sage, and Jeremy found her as a kitten, her mother killed by hunters. She is very stealthy and excellent at blending into her surroundings. You most likely won’t see her unless she wants you to see her. She is fiercely protective of Jeremy, and was travelling with him when he got yoinked by the Nautiloid. She uses their bond to locate him after he escapes the Nautiloid and they reunite in their camp.

ABILITIES

Jeremy has some low level Psionic powers. They mostly appear in the form of connecting with his family. He explains it as a werewolf pack bond. It gets a little bit harder to explain when he connects with someone not in his pack. He can tell when someone he is connected to is in danger, and people he has a strong bond with he can visit them in their dreams. He also has a sixth sense that can tell him when he's being followed. He might not always be able to see (or smell or hear) who is following him, but he can feel it. [This gives him the Alert feat; an immunity to being surprised.]

In his younger years he noticed these psionic powers manifest in other ways, when his emotions get too strong, things can go flying. Things can start to shake. It stops when he calms himself down. He’s learned to control his emotions and almost always has a mask of stoicism on. Over the years, he’s learned how much emotion has to be… emotioning before things start flying.

He does not know what these powers are. If pressed upon them, he will close up and find a way to end the conversation.

MAENAD

Jeremy’s father was a Wood Elf Werewolf that he does not like to talk about. He was, by all accounts, a horrible man. Abusive in all the ways someone can be abusive. He died - as far as Jeremy is aware - several years ago. 

But Jeremy never knew his mother, he never knew anything about her. He does not know that his mother was a Maenad, from the planet Eberron. Maenads are a race of psionic humanoids known for their powerful emotions, which they can manifest as psionic force.

Maenad’s skin is covered in flecks of sparkling crystals, giving them a peculiar sparkle. Jeremy does not have these flecks covering his entire body but he does have sections of them, sprinkling across his back, shoulders and upper arms like freckles. If asked about them Jeremy will just say they are birthmarks and refuse to elaborate further. If anyone tries to pry, he will get more uncomfortable and evade the conversation.

Currently thinking about Artemis's will in the code at the bottom of TLG and how it really kinda shows how strained his relationship with his dad still is. Everyone else gets something they're interested in or that Arty thinks they'd like (sound system for Juliet, frozen chicken for Mulch, ethical investments for his mother, etc) and yet for his father he leaves only bearer bonds, despite Artemis I trying to move away from a money-focused enterprise and lifestyle as of TEC. Not to mention it's Butler who would know how to disengage all the booby traps protecting said bearer bonds, further highlighting the difference in trust & familiarity Artemis has with everyone but his father.

Mmm, I'd say Graceland would probably have been his breakout role as it seems to me to be what saw him transition from guest roles to series regular roles, but it's definitely his most significant recent role given Mayans was a one-season arc and his roles in Westworld and All American were so small.

He's still got Good Girls on his resume, but to drop it from his bio and replace it with a project that's not even out yet (Ironheart) [how can you be 'known' for a role no one's seen you in yet?] and an older project (The Mule) is definitely a Choice and I think likely indicates that he's trying to distance himself from the role and the show. It happens, but I think it's a pretty interesting choice given he doesn't really have many upcoming projects outside of Ironheart which has been delayed to 2025.

But yes! I haven't found much about the short film either! I'm curious as to what it might lead to. Given the number of people in it, I lowkey wonder if it's a proof-of-concept short for a bigger project, but who knows. Guess we'll just have to wait and see :-)

History:

Born in Gondolin to parents who had come from Valinor

Part of the House of the Fountain

Was still fairly young when Gondolin fell, somewhere less than 150 years of age

Fought during the Fall, and still carries the same sword he used back then

Escaped with some others from his house through the Secret Way when the battle was lost

Before the Fall of Gondolin, he had been betrothed in an arranged marriage, but he does not know what happened to his would-be-wife, as he was not near her at the time of the battle. He presumes she perished as many in the city did. He did not love her, and in fact hardly knew her, so though he feels guilt and sadness for her loss, it is no more than he feels for most of those in the city of his youth

Unbeknownst to him, his former betrothed's uncle is alive and still in Middle-earth, as he did not dwell in Gondolin

Lindandir has spent most of his life since the fall helping in the various causes and wars of the elves still in Middle-earth, usually as a fighter, and for much of that time, he did not truly allow himself to live and enjoy life, perhaps feeling guilt and shame for having survived when so many others did not

At some point, however, he realized there was truly much life had to offer, and he decided to travel and experience all that which he could in Middle-earth

Once he'd felt more free to explore life, he'd taken many lovers, both male and female, but never had anything serious, preferring not to form strong attachments, for inevitably they all fade

Lindandir is not opposed to having a serious relationship, but as he has yet to settle down, he believes he is too old for such, and that he would be a poor partner for the long term, as he wishes to leave Middle-earth soon

He has started to feel some regret that he’s spent so much time during the past age trying to find himself, and not being the good friend or partner that he could be. He misses his friends who are gone dearly, and wishes to be better for those who are still left

He spent the first part of the Third Age in the Woodland Realm, and the latter half in Rivendell, though he traveled, too. Despite being in those places for a long while, he has never considered any place home since Gondolin

Relationships: (Names with a ~ indicate a character played by someone other than myself)

~Gilithion: One of Lindandir's former lovers, who is now his boyfriend. In the past, Lindandir never realized Gilithion held deeper feelings for him, but once he had been about to leave Middle-earth, and found himself thinking about the other ellon, he sought him out again, and they rekindled their relationship, exclusively this time, though they've kept it mostly hidden so that Gilithion's family doesn't find out that he's gay. Gilithion was deeply hurt by Lindandir, so it's been hard for him to trust again, and their relationship is rocky and distant at times, causing Lindandir much sadness, for he thrives on touch and affection. Elgaladwen: Close friend, and former lover. He almost offered to marry her so that her parents would stop trying to set her up in arranged marriages.

Meneladir: Gilithion's younger brother, and a friend, though Lindandir tries to keep his distance now, since Meneladir is not aware his brother is gay, and Lindandir worries over trying to hide the relationship.
