Wrong Station is one of my top horror podcasts anyways, but the variation in the horror just adds to the experience so much.
There are episodes that really got me hooked and shocked like barely any other horror media will get me, e.g. I listened to The Attendant to fall asleep to and it legitimately terrified me to the point I lay awake throughout the entire thing with every single one of my muscles tensed
But then there are also the episodes that are just „guy fucks thing he really, really shouldn’t“

i recognize that simon and edwin meeting and parting in hell is narratively very good and provides closure for all. but imagine if simon had agreed to try and escape with edwin. and charles doesn't have time to really question it, because anybody who likes edwin is aces in his book and it's hell, they need to leave. (edwin, out of courtesy to their third companion, puts his plan to confess on hold until they've escaped.)
suddenly the edwin harem of "supernatural boys who all hate each other but are attracted to that negative rizz" gains another member, and at some point edwin is going to have to mention that simon was the boy who sacrificed him to hell.
the chaos. crystal's bitchy commentary. charles going from friendly smiling to clutching his cricket bat. niko's whispering "200k slow burn schoolboy rivals to lovers" with heart eyes. it'd be chef's kiss good. edwin fleeing to his books and praying that nobody, but especially not the cat king, finds him because there has been SO MUCH emotion already. hysterical.

I think a lot about Leo standing up for his brothers in the things that really matter to them.
Like- Leo is the one who immediately pushes Mikey and Donnie into finding Raph the second it’s clear that their oldest brother is missing because he knows Raph can’t handle being separated like that.
Leo is the one who stands up for Mikey when Mikey wants to go on a solo mission, actively vouching for him and being the one to convince Raph into letting Mikey go, because being independent and proving himself just as capable of standing on his own two feet as everyone else means so much to Mikey.
And Leo defends Donnie’s honor in particular when his brothers’ intelligence is insulted because Leo is well aware of how important Donnie’s smarts are to him - and how important having those smarts valued and acknowledged is as well.
All this goes right into just how well Leo knows his brothers. For as much as he’ll tease or fight with them, he knows them, and he loves them.

Folding laundry. Folding LAUNDRY 💕😭💕😭 Megumi’s dream is to live peacefully in a day-to-day routine with Tsumiki and Yuuji by his side. His DREAM LIFE is to COOK MEALS and FOLD LAUNDRY with Yuuji. To make a lifetime of domestic habits WITH YUUJI. If you told me this dialogue was pulled directly from a fanfic I would not question you. I can’t believe this is actually real. They love each other so much that they’re willing to live for each other. When they imagine their happiest future they reflexively picture each other in it. They’re canonically the #1 most important living person in each other’s lives. They’re going to save each other just like they promised and they’re going to save all of Japan from Sukuna while they’re at it. An apocalypse singlehandedly averted by the power of true love THATS MY ITAFUSHI

I'm not allowing anyone to forget that this panel exists
The pain in his whole body , the horror and fear in his eyes , his shaky weak breath and the fact that he's literally looking at his organs coming out from his torn stomach ,,
Truly disturbing

An interesting “side effect” of the canonization of the “classic era” meaning “younger era” is that the classic era now reads as “cute fun times” before the core cast became teenagers/tweens and things got super, super complicated.
Because the characters are “younger,” there’s an air of “little rascal innocence” to everything they do now. The new releases like Mania and Superstars now feel like little throwbacks to the young heroes just learning how to work together and make a difference in the world.
I don’t think this is a bad thing at all.
