Announcing: The Closure of Suibian Subs

It's never truly easy to make these type of announcements... but what would I know, I've never had to make one like this before:

I am announcing the permanent closure of Suibian Subs. The public discord server and translation work will cease.

As for our downloads, we are still deciding whether to offer them on our tumblr - which will stay open - or if there is a better solution going forward.

Please note that this doesn't mean everyone should race to upload MDZS audio drama to Youtube!! We still do not appreciate our wishes being broken.

However, if you have a friend who's downloaded the audio drama, you can have them share with you privately either online or in person. Do not upload it for the public anywhere.

Treasure Chest subs is currently working on MDZS audio drama subs. Please find their information to get access to their downloads, and respect their rules.

If you're truly wondering, this closing is not about the server hack. It's 10% server hack and 90% member interest. The server being hacked is what really brought things into perspective for us. That is:

It's kind of hard to believe this all happened because I was impatient. LOL

I was impatient and decided to try MTL translating the MDZS audio drama, myself. We all know how well that would've worked. Luckily, the first person to contact me was iarrod before I released anything

I never really thought it would be of such significance to hundreds of people. It was simply a passion project between iarrod and I. Then we added a bunch of other members: Gwyn, askcj1, Yen, and several more that have left over the years... and the rest is history.

Yes, people come and go, life changes, they need to take a break, then a "break" turns into leaving. Sometimes personalities clash and drama ensues. And the group either recovers from these types of changes or struggles to come back to its full glory.

I will certainly miss the camaraderie among us, the random chats, the streams, etc. It was all a fun time in my life that I will look back on and cherish.

Thank you especially to all of the team members, translators and subbing team, for sticking around, enjoying the good times and not-so-good times. Thank you iarrod for helping me out when I was so damn impatient - ha!.

Thank you to those members who have left for your work and dedication to the server.

Hi yeah for full clarification I am only in TSB's discord server, I am in no other server nor do I plan to join any more.

I didn't wanna make any kind of announcement for it for social anxiety reasons so I apologise for not saying anything sooner! TSB and everyone else can 100% confirm it's me in there if needed, my point still stands that I'm not gonna get my own discord server as it's scary enough being known in the one I'm in lol.

I don't like giving my discord out to people which is why I don't add anyone and I don't like being added randomly, it's nothing personal I really am just shy, you have to tame me like a wild horse lol. My discord also isn't under the same username as my url.

I wanted to put down a strict "no discord no server" stance because I'm SUPER paranoid about people pretending to be me, it's already happened to me once in the past to try and scam people so I have my reasons, but yes that is actually me in TSB's server and I love it in there. Yesterday Mike added more fuel to my “Tubbo is bugged” theory and it’s making me extra worried about what’s going to happen this week LOL.

This post is rambly and long, so I’m sticking things behind a cut!

Mike’s memories of the last 3+ weeks are scrambled and foggy; an interrupted El Quackity treatment? Unclear. But between saying he doesn’t remember anything and then spouting off pro-Federation propaganda (something his anarchist ass would never willingly do!) and fiercely trying to pin blame to Fit as a traitor, a comment by him during one of the questioning sessions stood out to me.

When Fit asked who told him his janitor duties were fake/a front, that he couldn’t be trusted, he said Cucurucho.

We and FitMC know that the Feds are sus of Fit, but they’ve had no actual concrete evidence that he’s been misusing his position to obtain information. And yet now Cucurucho, supposedly, is informing Mike of this so called betrayal?

If we think back to the prison cleanup in August, there was a room that had a chess board map on the wall. Only two pieces were present: a queen and a pawn. And the pawn was positioned on a clear way to indicate it’s meant to represent Fit. A warning - possibly to Fit from the ghost entity in the Prison (or someone in a neighbouring pocket dimension, if recent ruminations and theories on the server have any legs) that aided Pac and Mike, OR the Federation itself, reminding him of who has the power and who is always watching.

But they have yet to take any action. And always praised his work when completed.

Enter: Tubbo. Who arrived on the Island as part of a group rescued from a mysterious location. One with lots of strange blocks, code-eggs, frozen floors and who himself was frozen away. Shortly after, Mike and Pac ventured back to that location to explore, and when he entered the tower, the floor vanished and Mike fell. Fell down into a pool of water at the bottom of a trap lined in black concrete, and then frozen.

During Mike’s absence, Tubbo has gotten to know the “morning crew”, has gotten up in everyone’s business. I’ve outlined some highlights in another post. But more recently, every time he talks to Fit about his cleaning job, he’s picked at it again and again. Freaks out over the badge and keycard - especially over the keycard. (This feels important, for more than just Tubbo’s excuses of it being bugged, but I can’t put my finger on why, yet.). Tubbo whines when Fit won’t give him direct insight, or tell him detailed specifics on what he’s found on the job. Fit has made it clear he will not jeopardise his position to satisfy Tubbo’s need to meta-game win over the system to know everything, resulting in accusations, and Tubbo commenting privately to his own chat that this makes Fit untrustworthy in his eyes. Tubbo has been careless with some of his questions. They’ve been asked topside, sideways comments uttered with side eye. He wants to KNOW what Fit is after.

And Fit did spill to Tubbo that he’s not just there for the obvious. Yes, He IS looking for something. Yeah, he IS trying to find things out about the Codes, the Eggs, and the Federation - he wants his beautiful baby boy (made in Heaven by God Himself) back home safe and sound.

But this has not been successful, never mind the long absence of any work in the last few weeks..and we the viewers know that things he has found have been incomplete, or need more time to cook before he goes to others with evidence. Fit is meticulous, his life on 2B2T trained this into him in order to survive. You don’t last 10 years in an anarchy wasteland without being prepared. Better and safer to leave things unsaid than having to walk them back later. And there’s no point in sharing what isn’t relevant to the matter at hand.

And now Mike - who Fit calls friend, who he bonded with, who he swore to help locate Walter Bob with - said Cucurucho told him that Fit was a traitor, and wasn’t looking for what he said he was, even point blank accused him of lying yesterday about what he’s looking for. And when pressed about what he’d found so far when on janitor duty, Fit had to admit that no, he hadn’t found anything related to the Eggs or the Code.

Mike seemed to take that as proof of his lying about what he’s doing. That what he was told was right. But admitting to a lack of success doesn’t make one a liar. And Fit telling him he found nothing is also a smart play - lose lips sink ships, and better to be thought incompetent. Especially if the Federation are now trying to flush you - and perhaps your ties to your employer, outside the island - out into the open.

The Federation did not know about Ramón’s furnaces until Tubbo did. And they didn’t know Fit was in it for more than the obvious until he spoke with Tubbo. They can’t get Tubbo to take on Fit, but they can use a different pawn they have on the board instead.

I may well be completely off base. And I’ll be delighted if I am. It’s been so much fun to theorise about the lore on QSMP! But mark my words, we need to pay much more attention over the next 48 hours. And who knows what everyone will come back to in a week’s time?

Käärijä fanzine update!

Alright! Thanks to your gentle lovely bullying, I've finally read most of the documentation I had and took some notes of the stuff I will need help with for the Käärijä hats fanzine. This is gonna be a lot of work to organize, so I can't do this alone!!

So I'm calling for extra hands. If you're interested in helping me, you'll need to be sure to be mostly available for the next 6 months (being a bit extra with the time, but better safe than sorry.) By that I don't mean that you need to be there everyday full time, I'm not either lol. I mean that you won't be travelling for four out of those six months or something like that hahaha.

Graphic designer: My best friend @drifloonlady (she's not in the fandom, but she does design for a living and I trust her with my life. Native finnish speaker, maybe?: If we end up printing it, giving a copy to Käärijä and/or any member of his staff who would like one would be lovely, and in this case having a message for them in finnish would be interesting, especially considering Jere's english. Unsure if we're gonna print it, but if you wanna apply just in case, feel free to!

If you apply, as I said make sure that you're gonna be mostly available in the next six months. I'd also prefer if everyone applying was an adult, I sadly don't watch my language enough to be kid-friendly if we're gonna be chatting on discord on a regular basis hahaha.

I'm just trying to state this for my sake, and maybe I hope that you consider this for a moment, but you don't have to, of course. Go forth and live you life however you wish. I'm probably gonna block you after sending this because I think it's just for the best.

I think you're wrong about Metalocalypse. Like on a lot sometimes, in regards to certain characters. Mainly Pickles, his family, and sometimes Abigail (this is mostly in reference to your opinions on what she represents/how she was handled). Which sucks because I really do think you provide a lot of resources for the fandom (+I really do enjoy your art)

In general you seem to just kinda not like it when people have headcannons (no this isn't about Pickles being trans/cis.) I think you can come off as super pompous and closed off in your own little world, kinda in a bad way. You seem to believe you're the "only one who actually appreciates the show for what it is" , which isn't true by a long shot dude. The other members in the fadom may prioritize things I assume you find to be small scale, but they still matter to them. A whole lot. I just think you need to try and consider the fact that sometimes people just wanna draw and talk silly stuff about a silly show! MTL is stupid and absurd, this is said with love, of course!

Long story short, I think you need to maybe take a little step back and be a little more considerate of the fact that what people are posting online is usually for fun! Maybe if you wanna get down and hash the shit with someone about the show, it's themes and whatever, join a discord server if you haven't already! I'm in one and they talk pretty much every day about the things that seem to appeal to you!

If it’s anything to do with what’s in my recent recollection atm, my explanation is that I just talk at people. I would think that if you’re posting in the main tags (and if what you’re saying is about how something is misinterpreted/unexplored by fans) then you would enjoy that sort of engagement. Especially if it’s not even combative and only really adding to the topic you had enough interest to post about in the first place

Though, now, when you talk to somebody on here or on Twitter about opinions on a show, there’s a knee-jerk reaction (some) people will have to any disagreement, oftentimes. One where they suddenly switch from talking about the show, to talking about themselves, and recontextualize the entire conversation to having been about them personally, making any observation that they disagree with out to be an attack. To me that’s very bizarre. It’s like an immediate emotional escalation just to hurt your own feelings lol. It’s also counterintuitive for another reason beyond just being messy, since I believe we should want to see things from other people’s perspective and understand them better, that that’s what we should be using media for, instead of wanting to experience something immediately relatable and applicable to ourselves exclusively. With this approach, I feel like I can relate and sympathize with a person who isn’t like me in almost every way.

for me, it’s fun to reverse engineer your way into understanding how different people operate. The logic informing their worldview and behavior. You would hope to encourage more people to be like that, so that instead of putting walls up and shutting down anything that makes you feel invalidated, you could invite a sort of mindset where you actually stand a chance at being truly understood, and feel less afraid of understanding others.

minecraft movie thoughts (or lack thereof)

I saw the Minecraft Movie trailer a few days ago and was disappointed. I've had some people tell me that I shouldn't have had high hopes for a movie about Minecraft, and I have had other people echo my sentiments. I have also been met with blank stares from people who have never heard of Minecraft. Generally I don't write a whole lot of original stuff online, mostly because I am not an expert or feel that there are other people who are much better spoken and informed than I am having conversations that I cannot add anything of value to. Also because I'm kind of shy lol. Minecraft, though, I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert on. I can talk about this with some degree of confidence. So, here's my take on the movie trailer:

The most obvious thing about the trailer is the animation style: It's the first thing you see. I'm guessing the production execs haven't actually played Minecraft or know anything about it beyond "block game that makes lots of money". They certainly don't know about the hundreds of beautiful Minecraft fan animations, or hell, even Minecraft story mode looked better than this. It seems like there is indecisiveness between committing to the aesthetic of blocks or going full live action. The attempt at realism do not merge well with the game being about blocks, and making the whole movie live-action is just a bad call for a movie about a block world. A movie fully animated in the style of Minecraft might seem kind of silly, and it is. Grab your propellor caps and comically oversized lollipops, because this movie is going to be a joke no matter what happens. Is it going to be a good joke? It doesn't seem likely.

The mobs are atrocious. Again, see the trailer. I don't feel the need to elaborate on their appearances. But seriously, what are Piglins and Ghasts doing in the overworld? Those are Nether mobs, and Piglins can't ride Ghasts. The trailer makes it seem like they are attacking the overworld, which is stupid. Piglins just want to trade for gold stuff. Gold spawns in the Nether. No reason to be in the overworld, other than to provide convenient plot I guess.

What is the plot of this movie? Usually trailers give some kind of idea of what the movie will be about, but all I really took away from it is that some real people got stuck in Minecraft and that also Jack Black is Steve? I don't have anything against the actors, but having real people get stuck in Minecraft is possibly the worst direction this movie could have gone in. As for Steve, he's usually represented in fan content as either the most boring dude ever, or a super strong god who destroys worlds in the blink of an eye. Steve is meant to be an avatar for the player, he is meant to be boring and generic. The movie completely betrays this, and Steve isn't even a protagonist.

Who are the protagonists? What are they doing in Minecraft? I don't know. I don't care. The trailer doesn't seem to care too much either, because it doesn't tell us anything about them or what their goals are or why we as an audience should give a shit. Are we going to watch a survival multiplayer server game in the movie? Because I could watch that on youtube, the only difference being that I would actually be invested in the story progression and world. Before multiplayer capacity was added to Minecraft, it was a single player game. It is, fundamentally, a game about finding your place in the world around you, surviving and creating and living. Adding these real life people into Minecraft really just annoys me. Aside from misunderstanding Minecraft overall, it feels like waiting for your sibling to be done on the computer so you can have your turn. These characters are clearly not meant to be engaging personalities who are very experienced at playing the game that audiences would enjoy watching, it would be more like watching noobs play a game you already know how to play. it's kind of funny for about 10 seconds and then it's just boring.

But I think there is potential for the Minecraft movie to be good. They just have to hire me, lol. I might be biased, but I have an idea for the Minecraft movie that I think is pretty cool. Obviously it would already be a lot better if they fixed the animation, but consider:

Steve grows up in a Minecraft village and always feels a little out of place. One day the village is attacked by zombies/skeletons/creepers, one of his friends becomes a zombie villager and Steve goes on an epic quest to find the cure (Golden apple + splash potion of weakness) to turn his friend back to normal.

That's it that's (the very simplified version of) my idea. I would love if the movie was actually good, but realistically it's going to be mediocre at best and I won't watch it because I am not going to pay to watch my childhood be disrespected like that. I'm kinda excited to see the reviews when it does come out though, those should be funny.

Okay, so here’s a thread for listing my various Teen Wolf projects available to follow up on in the server. Again, if and when these reach actual stages of completion, like I get a full one-shot done or complete a chapter of a WIP, they’ll still be posted for anyone to read. However, because there’s a lot, because I’m a lot, lol, there’s also way more than I’ll ever realistically be able to complete, so if you don’t mind that, OR want to try and urge me towards making sure one in particular gets more added to it or even completed, my patreon could be worth it in that respect.

For an example of the kind of content you’d find in the fanfic sections but NOT my Ao3.....here’s something for a one-shot set post-series, about Scott and Theo’s dynamic....none of this is the actual fic itself, its more just ABOUT the fic. Kind of a snapshot of what I wanted to explore in it, to refresh my headspace and get me back in the mindset I was in when I originally thought of it. But enough friends have assured me that people might be interested in just this as it is, that its worth offering up for your enjoyment even if this doesn’t end up being a fic I pick up again and complete.

The Not So Minor Details

Post-Series: The thing about Theo was at the end of the day, he probably understood Scott better than anyone else. Even his mom. Even Stiles. Hell, especially his mom and Stiles. The closer you stand to someone, the easier it is to let the little details pass you by. So sure you already see everything that’s there to see, you don’t bother with the second glances, the double-takes to check if that fleeting look you caught just a glimpse of before you looked away was actually something you needed to pay attention to, instead of just assuming you’d already know if it was. 

Theo understood Scott better than anyone else, because when it came to Scott he took nothing for granted. He researched him, compiled notes on him and his interactions with everyone in his life. Did his homework, studied every inch of Scott McCall until he was ready to ace his final exam: knowing all the right buttons to push to get exactly the reactions he wanted Scott to have.

That kind of awareness of someone, the intimacy of knowing thy enemy so fully and completely you could slip right into their skin and be them, should they ever shed it for you to find and seize the opportunity….well. That doesn’t go away just because you’ve decided your enemy is now your ally. Just because you no longer want to use your the knowledge of them - that you’ve wielded as power that has hurt them, power that’s still there for the taking and could just as easily be used that way again - to do exactly that. Just because you’ve decided you don’t want to kill him anymore. Mostly.

 Knowledge is power and power doesn’t stop being powerful just because you’ve locked it away in a drawer where you don’t have to look at, face the temptation to take it up and use it to do terrible things again. You can vow never to touch it all you want…that doesn’t keep you from knowing, remembering its there, seeing it right within reach any time you change your mind and decide you want it after all. Or even if you don’t.

 Yes, Theo knows Scott better than anyone else, and that knowledge is just as sharp-edged as it ever was. It’s the weapon he used to kill Scott once, and it hasn’t been blunted by time or lack of use. It could be just as lethal in his hands now as it was back then. He hasn’t been defanged, tamed, domesticated. Lost any of his bite, his fangs and claws the slightest bit of their sheen.

The others might think Theo lurks on the outskirts of the pack like a toothless supplicant pathetically hoping to someday make his way back into Scott’s orbit, while they all know he never will. That they don’t have to worry about him anymore because he’s too weak to be a threat now that they know to be wary of him….and at the same time, he’s incapable of making the gestures, the acts of contrition that might get him back in Scott’s good graces. Reposition him where he can once more be the Iago whispering self-fulfilling prophecies of doom in the True Alpha’s ear when no one else is around - or paying enough attention - to counter any his poison-barbed words.

 Its actually pretty fucking hilarious how wrong they all are.

Because the thing is - the thing that Theo knows about Scott, that he’s pretty sure Scott knows he’s figured out about him - the thing is, all it would take is two little words to worm his way right back through the very same chinks in the pack’s armor that left Scott exposed and vulnerable the first time around. It’d literally be that easy to repeat all the same moves to all the same outcomes, right under the rest of their noses. Because they were all so focused on their told you so’s and being right about him, so insistent that it’d been a simple binary equation all along, a “should you trust Theo” just needing a yes or a no and Scott’s cardinal sin was he’d selected the wrong one instead of just picking the one they told him to…. 

They were so intent on the ‘what’ of Theo’s betrayal, the acts of breaking apart their pack…they never bothered to pay attention to the ‘how’ of it all. Never bothered shoring up those weak spots in their defenses as a pack….because to do that, first they’d have to acknowledge where those were.

 But Theo knows where they are, where they’ve been all along, and Scott knows it too. The irony of it all is they’re both equally incapable of pointing them out to the others - Scott because he doesn’t know how to get them to hear what he’s saying when he says I’m only human, I hurt too. That “I might be an Alpha werewolf but you all have power over me too, your expectations and needs and fears shape everything I do.” Or how “when you hurt me, it matters, my pain means something too, even if I can physically heal faster than you. When you hurt me, I need you to care enough to tell me you saw me hurting and you’re sorry.”

And Theo, well, he could point out how the only thing he needed to make Scott want to believe in him, was treating him as someone as much in need of help as he’s needed to help others. Creating a space for him to be vulnerable in, encouraging him to let himself be vulnerable….because Scott was that desperate for release, for any chance or audience to vent to, about all the stresses and traumas and anxieties everyone piled on him, expecting his super-strength to bear the load…that he was primed to leap at the first opportunity to confide in someone who wasn’t expecting him to have any answers, who just wanted to listen to his fears and insecurities about not having any answers to give anyone…

Theo could point all that out, but the thing they all know about Theo….is they won’t ever trust a word he says.

Wuthering Wave (WuWa) DAY 1 Review

Wuwa finally opened their server today (May 23) so as DAY 1 player I gonna write a little review :

For now I finish main quest and stuck at level 21 quest and already try some bosses too~

PS : if you're Asia players but not JP KR CN I suggest play at SEA server for better connectivity~

For beginner banner I think they're pretty generous, guarantee one non limited 5* for max 50 pull with discount 8 ticket for 10 pull means max pull are 40, after you get 5* the banner gone and change to focused non limited 5*. But if you asked me, most 5* kinda groggy and some 4* are better. Imagine genshin non limited banner and you're good (I gonna take Yangyang route until endgame lol)

And into banner currency, same like most gacha games except guaranteed at 80 pull and they added one more for limited weapon. Tbh I still don't understand for whoever reason they seperate limited character and limited weapon currency...

For story tbh I don't understand anything (lol) but I gonna pointing at skipable story. Yups, some main story can be skipable. Look at left above button from screenshot below, skipable means it just showing us something or any useless info but non skipable means some info important enough to read.

Additionally, all side quest can be skipable~

Nonono even if there's skip button, I won't skip cutie Yangyang holding a cat scene 🤣

Now onto negative things, their loading very slow ! It include entering the game, loading after domain farming, even teleport. Imagine everytime you want to teleport only to wait like the one element attached on right below side Genshin loading.

Resin usage. Or what WuWa called it. I know it's 240 energy but it balancing with 60 cost energy every raiding an ascension and weekly boss... But if we think we don't need to farms relic artifact means it's balancing each others

This one more into bugs/their developer side don't know but for mine it's clunky movement, my joystick movement kind of slow respond means sometimes I can't walk straight or climbing switch to glinding even climb straight on ladder...

(this bug seems exclusive for android only, so yeah too bad on us android user lol)

Plus low graphic eventhough I use medium quality, my eyes hurt bc of blurness everytime I want to see anyone faces... This one need to fix asap, I'm one of players won't read any stories aside main bc of can't look straight at NPC blur face~

Aside that I like the gameplay, despite their clunkyness movement, the battle phase which pretty same like HI3 PGR are unbelievably smooth. Which indicate more question like why their normal state are more laggy than battle one (lol)

Plus good test run with how to use their characters. It have the best ways to show players how to use each of them in simple ways and it still one of my many question why Genshin can't add their test run character just like WuWa and HI3.

Verdict : I know this sounds like die hard fans but from WuWa I just realize what a breakthrough hoyo makes with Honkai and Genshin...

For how long I gonna play this game I guess depends, if nothing much change in one year eventhough I just got Jiyan it means uninstall. First of all, please fix clunky movement and graphic problem or Kuro just throw an useless money on this project~

Oh and adding can't play more than half hours per day, better take it slow I guess~

I need to wait until I'm done figuring out my Kanto stuff but I asked on a discord server i'm in what they thought " soul like silver" meant. This is the answer I got that honestly really helped me.

This person also added that they might be more logic based but still actively trying to do the right thing. Again I'm. So happy for this answer bc it helped me with Aiko a bit, and better yet her parallel to Kenji.

I wrote it more in depth in discord but this is like. The Gist.

Heart of Gold: Emotion.

Soul of Silver: Resolve.

I would say that both Kenji and Aiko are emotional, empathetic kids. But the key difference is how they start vs how they end.

Kenji starts of with a goal in mind and a resolve to obtain it: be the best like his hero Red. He is dead set on this goal, nothing will deter him from it. This is his resolve. However, he is also an empathetic heart. His arc would be of letting that empathy shine- it makes Togepi more important, bc his revolve to be the very best is telling him that Togepi has to evolve, that it has to be strong to reach his goal. And yet Togepi only really evolved up to a Togetic. He doesn't want to go any further. Heck he doesn't even want to battle. And it takes a level of empathy and understanding to go " oh, I guess I should respect my pokemon wishes here instead of wishing it could be something it doesn't want". Basically Kenji is practicing what he preach ( to Silver). To better understand pokemon and to better protect and love for them, and by extension, others. A heart of gold.

Aiko starts of being the more empathetic of the two I think. Again, these two are Feelers™, so it's hard to put one in front of the other, but Aiko never had that hard goal like Kenji did. She didn't really have a goal at all, simply enjoying her time with her pokemon. However, the one resolved she did was that she did not want to be a pokemon professor like her dad. She did not want to follow her father's legacy. Which is something Elm is totally fine with btw, he's fully supportive of his daughter figuring out what she wants. And like. She's 10, it's fine. So in Aiko's case, her arc is finding that resolve and confidence to do better ( especially since she wants to beat Silver). Her training under the Kimono girls is what helps her strengthen her resolve, her sense of justice. Like. I wouldn't call Aiko weak willed, but she's not really shining, you know. The kimono girls help make her soul shine like silver.

Hopefully all of that makes lol. I felt like sharing bc it's really making me see Aiko in a new perspective I guess.

The bonus is how both of these things reflect silver. Kenji possibly fears he's no better than Silver in the way he thinks about pokemon. Aiko and Silver both defy their father's legacy ( though one has a healthier relationship with their dad than the other). All three of them are Determined™ and all three of them are good kids.

Beryl is the obvious outlier being older and not exactly relating fully to Lugia or Ho-Oh; their a Suicune chosen lol. But I think that's a good thing given it helps ground these three a lot.

Ok since I made that post about marks, I can finally now ramble about Andres and Indah's marks!

So, for Andres, he's a vessel. He was resurrected and became like, quasi-immortal or something. The creature he made a contract with gotta be related to death, but I haven't really seen any Filipino folklore creature that fits that. His powers are related to death, so his marks have to be related to death. I'm not even sure what his death powers should be (but tbh I definitely don't want it so anything he touches dies lol I'm too soft to do that unless someone convinces me to.)

Here's the idea for his marks. I really liked those gradient finger things I see, so I tried to incorporate it. Those black stuff are supposed to be necrosis. I should be adding some marks related to bullets too, since the rough idea is Andres was shot to death, or died a bloody death. The exposed heart is there because... it looks cool. Honestly, I'm not satisfied with this design because it's too plain

Also, this was "drawn" quick because I was rambling about it in a discord server. I was trying to visualize my idea. I've forgotten the original artists unfortunately

Next, Indah!

So, I made the setting AFTER revamping them. Originally, Indah's split-colored hair was because he just bleached it like that. He thought it was cool. But then later on I thought that was off-putting, because he's supposed to be this cool, intelligent and apathetic guy, then you look at his bright ass fucking hair.

(quick note I changed his hairstyle lol this one is a doodle from last year)

Recently, I thought that maybe his mark IS his hair color. Maybe the creature he signed a contract with was like, "you look way too serious, let me fix that for you," and then that's the hair color he gave him. At least it looks like he made a shitty decision when bleaching his hair instead of an obvious sign.

Another thing I thought of and this was just from a while ago, but I was thinking that he could have unique top scars?

In the contract, Indah said he wanted to have the body of a cis man, for the duration of the contract and when he completes it (ok tbh this isn't final. I was more like thinking he gets the body when he completes it. Maybe a better alternative is he doesn't need to do his weekly dose of HRT for the duration, that's it.) And I was just playing Sims 4 a while ago, and I saw there's custom content for unique and supernatural top scars. I got that shit and put one on Indah.

One of the scars was sort of wrapped around the pecs and was a bright color that looked like it was slightly glowing. It gave me the idea that maybe his scars could look like that. Not all of his scars, well maybe even the ones on his face actually

Cuz, idk if I'm making sense here, but Indah appreciates being transgender and is proud of his journey. However, if he got the chance, he'd choose to function like a normal cis man instead. And he got the chance so yeah. That's why I was thinking his mark should be like, unique glowing top scars. Are there bottom scars? If yes then that too

I'm only non-binary, I rarely experience gender dysphoria, but IF I get top surgery or something, and my top surgery scar gets to look cool and be neon? It would be so cool so yeah lol

I have to brainstorm more on both of Andres and Indah's designs

“Might be better to just get a new-” Wrench paused as he finally took a look at Marcus’ phone. His LED mask changed to show one that Marcus had never seen before.

“This is Erudito’s killswitch.” Wrench waved the phone, showing the annoying neon red screen with the glowing V in the middle, “Your phone’s dead, man. Not only that…”

Wrench looked at the screens in their hideout.

As if it was just waiting to make its dramatic entrance, which Wrench knew it was, those Erudito pips were dramatic af, all screens showed the same red background and glowing white V symbol.

“We didn’t know it was one of you guys.” Wrench said immediately.

[Don’t look for him. Forget you ever saw him.] The robotic text-to-speech said from one of the speakers.

“Yeah, yeah, we know the deal. We leave you alone, you leave us alone.” Wrench waved his hand as he continued, “If you ever want to partner up though-”

[No.] The robotic text-to-speech cut him off before all the screens went dark.

“That was Erudito?” Marcus asked with a raised eyebrow, “The most secretive hacker group that only targets Abstergo? The hacker group that is rumored to have assassins on their payroll or something?”

“They’re always a pain to deal with.” Wrench said with his helmet showing a [X_X]. He threw Marcus’ phone back at him, “That one’s a goner. Erudito’s little ‘warning’.”

“Damn. I liked this phone.” Marcus grumbled.

“Go take a shower. I’ll find you a new phone.” Wrench waved his hand before adding, “Oh and the dude you saw?”

“Yeah, yeah, I won’t try to find him ever again.” Marcus waved his hand as he walked to the door that would lead to the bathroom.

You know I always thought the watch dogs would be a perfect setting for Desmond to take a step back from a assassin and just go around helping people, like Aiden with his vengeance for Lena, or/and causing chaos with dedsec in San Francisco

Since we already have an Aiden x Desmond idea where it looks like it’s shaping up to Aiden fucking Abstergo (and maybe even the Assassins) up for kidnapping Desmond, let’s make this one more on the side of Desmond trying his best not to be part of whatever mess DedSec is brewing in San Francisco and failing XD

Why San Francisco?

Because apparently Abstergo hasn’t gotten their little grubby hands in it that much so Desmond would have a semi-normal life.

Free boarding. Enough weekly allowance to get by and even splurge on food once a week…

Okay.

But it can get a bit monotonous so he would sometimes take a walk, look around.

Maybe climb the tallest building and use his Eagle Vision to make sure there’s no reds nearby.

There were a lot of gangs around these parts apparently but they seemed… uninterested in Desmond so they didn’t ping as red.

Desmond supposed he could do San Francisco a solid and take care of these gangs but he was on vacation.

He was sure he was going to be roped into the latest POE-related bullshit after this so he’d rather be lazy for once.

He deserved it.

He fucking died.

But, of course, since his name was Desmond Miles and his main profession was ‘fate’s favorite chew toy’…

One sunny day while he was just ordering food from a foodtruck that makes really delicious chilis that made his stomach curse him hours later (worth it though), his phone vibrated.

His phone never gave any notification.

He wanted to groan.

It seemed it was time for his vacation to be over.

Only to blink when he took out his phone and saw that it wasn’t a message or email from the Assassin only called Bishop.

It was from an app that Erudito apparently added to the phone.

… alerting him that someone tried to hack his phone.

He looked around with his Eagle Vision.

… and saw a red phone.

He blinked once more and saw that the man holding the red phone was wearing a blue baseball cap and had glasses.

And he was staring straight back at Desmond.

He mouthed the words ‘Erudito?’ to Desmond and Desmond grimaced.

Great.

Some hacker now saw his face and thought he was part of Erudito.

He has no idea how to fucking hack.

So Desmond did the best thing he could do considering the circumstances.

He ran away.

And the damn hacker ran after him.

ok im gushing to my friends about how I want more people to know about subeta, so I guess I will advertise here too!!! (add me @donteatacowman there

subeta is basically neopets but still in classic format and slightly more adult friendly

(yes i know there are other pet sites like flight rising, but subeta was very much inspired by classic neopets back in the day)

i think they just need like a tiktok or something being like ARE YOU NOSTALGIC and suddenly they will be profitable

they have pride flags and mobility aids as wearable items etc

cash is only needed to buy user-created art to wear (or another few bonus things to make the game better, but like, instead of 10 quests per npc a day, you can do 15…), and if you create that art, you can make a profit (in the form of the cash-currency). you can make that cash currency other ways. i just spent actual cash on it for the first time in almost 10 years :| because im like holy shit the game is still active and making updates. i want to help with server costs

like seriously you can just play it as a dress-up game since you can try on things that you don't own

i know im sounding like an ad at this point but it is a cool thing and if people just KNEW about it, it would have this huge resurgence imo

Victor: This is the tenth film I’ve heard you say that has a “big feast” in the plot.

MC: The dinner was actually a king crab buffet. I experienced eating king crabs until I was full~

Victor: The dummy said she’s had her fill, but still had pudding after dinner.

MC: The second question is – do you want to watch the sunrise together tomorrow morning?

Victor: That is, if only you can give up your desire to “sleep in on the cruise ship.”

MC: Adding to that was the recent working around the clock. I’ve been mentally quite exhausted. That’s why I was a little dizzy when I got out of the car.

Victor: So, how are you feeling now?

MC: I was just sitting in my office for a while, and now I’m already feeling better!

MC: However, looking at this workload, I guess I really have to work overtime till late at night. This should be considered “reasonable staying up late,” no?

Victor: …all kinds of fallacious reasoning.

Victor: I remember that beach camping you’ve been clamoring about for a long time. It can be put on the itinerary for the next weekend.

MC: REALLY! But didn’t you just say in the car that you were flying abroad next week?

Victor: The meeting will be ending on Friday. I have booked a late-night flight for the same day.

Victor: You can make use of these few days and think about what else you want to do for fun when we get there.

MC: There are so many things! I can’t even count them all on my ten fingers!

 Victor: Don’t get too excited too soon. The prerequisite is that you complete all your work.

Victor: I don’t want to see you hugging your computer and racking your brain in the hotel.

MC: Anyway, you will be by my side at that time. If, by any chance, I do run into trouble, CEO Victor surely won’t “fold his hands and see me die,” right?

Victor: [sulkyyyy LOL]  I will.

Victor: If you don’t want the vacation to turn into a work report, then don’t bring your work with you.

MC: …

Victor: Your answer?

MC: Understood. I promise to get all my work done before the vacation comes!

Victor: By the sound of your voice, it seems that you have completely recovered from the carsickness you had earlier.

Victor: Then, put this high fighting spirit into work, and don’t stay up late at night.

MC: Of course! After all, I’ve been preparing for this since last week.

MC: And I woke up very early today especially for this purpose, and have been cleaning up until just now.

MC: Hehe, there are lots of beautiful candle lamps, some exquisite tablecloths, and things like that.

MC: I remember that Souvenir is planning to launch a new menu next season. They’d be useful, right?

Victor: A certain someone can try them out for herself when she comes as the “taster” tonight.

MC: Aren’t you worried that I might have chosen something too “unexpected?”

Victor: Although that is a possibility, I trust your vision.
