Ok, so I wanna see 20 for HioRin and RyuSae, but I’m curious what their reactions are to each other, rather than just the parents.

sure! sorry for the delay, I had guests this weekend so I couldn't squirrel away writing as I usually do. Ask game here, willing to answer for ships for a few more days if anyone's got questions they'd like answered.

20. What do their family/friends HioRin think of their relationship RyuSae?

Sae tells Rin one day, without preamble. Just I'm dating Ryuusei, like he's telling the time. Rin's shoulders bunch and a hundred responses run through his mind, each of them more lukewarm than the last. He settles on OK, returning his attention to the slasher film he'd been watching. Sae lingers for a moment, before slipping away silently.

When he's gone, Rin sinks his head into his hand and barks out a groan. Does his shitty brother do everything in his power to piss him off?

He tells Hiori about it online, when they play games later that night, failing to keep the venom from his voice. Hiori hums softly as Rin tails off, keyboard and mouse clacking as he takes out the zombies that were about to swarm Rin on-screen.

Would Sae have told ya if he didn't care? Hiori eventually asks, after carrying both of them to first place; Rin's too preoccupied to contribute to their rank. I don't understand why he picked Shidou-kun of all people—and I don't know him like you do—but if it wasn't a big deal to him, I don't think he'd have said anythin' at all.

Rin grunts and changes the subject, and Hiori indulges him, cheerful in spite of his sullen mood.

But the next morning, when Sae leaves his bedroom, Rin is waiting for him in the hallway. Warn me if you're inviting him over, he says over crossed arms. And don't expect me to talk to him.

Sae simply nods and pushes past him to the bathroom. The tension in Rin's shoulders ease a little. Life goes on.

20. What do RyuSae think of HioRin?

Sae's not really sure when Hiori stopped being a friend I play with online and started being the guy I sneak into my room while everyone's out of the house. He catches them one morning, brushing their teeth in the bathroom. Hiori smiles and waves, cheeks a dainty pink. Rin's face turns scarlet.

Rin refuses to address the situation, but he stops sneaking around. Hiori comes over frequently—his parents are lukewarm, Rin explains when Sae asks. Rin hasn't been calling him a shitty brother as much lately. Only once, after Sae asks to make sure the two of them are being responsible, prompting Rin to call him a hypocrite after what he's been forced to overhear when Shidou stays over. Sae concedes his brother has a point. After that, he buys spare condoms and mouldable earplugs to leave in their shared bathroom.

Shidou is pleasantly surprised at Rin's character development. When he congratulates Rin on becoming less lukewarm himself, he narrowly dodges the resulting punch. But they turn a corner eventually. When he notices Rin's nervousness before one of he and Hiori's first public dates, Shidou sits down with him and offers some advice. None of it is received well, but Rin's less uptight by the time the doorbell rings.

Shidou's the driver between the four of them hanging out together. Hiori's reasonably easy to win over, and Sae quietly values Shidou making an effort with his brother. They'll pull up party games on an old console—Hiori usually wins, so the competition's really for second place. Shidou also enjoys making food for all four of them. The one and only time Rin willingly compliments Shidou is on his cookery.

Overall, I think Hiori would give Shidou the benefit of the doubt, when it's clear the animosity between Shidou and Rin has eased. Both good-natured, they'd eventually bond and enjoy teaming up to tease their Itoshis. Rin wouldn't warm to Shidou exactly, but he'd eventually find himself missing the buzz Shidou creates when he's around. Shidou borderline flirts with Rin and does his best to win him over, undeterred by his glares. In time, Rin would ask Shidou about the things he doesn't want to talk to Sae about. They still clash, but become brotherly in a different way to Rin and Sae.

My top is Reonagi/Nagireo, because it was from them that my love for Blue Lock was born. When I first saw them interact, something clicked in me. The whole story of their relationship is straight from shoujo manga! The beginning of their friendship and how close they formed a bond. And their breakup? Absolute perfection! I love this whole Nagireo Drama. And when they finally reconciled, I believed in love again :')

I love Hiorin too! They share similar trauma, so they can bond :') Plus, I can't stop fangirling over how Rin (RIN!! you know what kind of guy he is!) allowed Hiori to help him. I hold this scene in a special place in my heart ♡. These guys would definitely feel good in each other's company.

Then there's the absolutely perfect Kunigiri! Ship of people who are equal. Hero and princess. PERFECTION! If Ego hadn't destroyed Kunigami, this ship would still be the healthiest of bllk in my eyes. It could be further if someone, I don't know, GIVES KUNIGAMI THERAPY (and maybe the number of a good lawyer. Ego needs to be put in jail).

I will also mention Bachisagi, my favorite Isagi ship! The way Bachira talks about Isagi, the first first 😭 They were destined to meet, they are soul mates and life partners. In addition, Isagi has the Monster's blessing :') so mine too! (I miss Bachisagi so much!! 😭)

Honestly, I like a lot of Blue Lock ships (like Kainess, Ryusae, Barounagi, Bachirin...) If I were to talk about every ship, I probably wouldn't finish it :')

OKAY SO it's gotta be a tie cause i absolutely loved the meaning behind the titling (both for the fic and chapters) that i did for consumption (x) but also getting to use a jacksepticeye reference for the do you have 90 minutes? (x) title rly cracked me up

augh. i mean it should come as no surprise to anyone who's followed me for the past 6mo but i think ryusae became a really comfortable pairing to write? just like. super easy to slip into. close contender would be ryurin though cause that angst and enemies-to-lovers type beat hits really well sometimes lmao

has to be KNOCK.ME.OUT (x) like idk what about it just really got me but i legitimately reread that fic like. at least a dozen times before i posted it (i was originally holding onto it for an event but the event got cancelled last minute, so i posted it on the original posting date anyway) but like rereading a fic once or twice before i post it is pretty standard, so rereading it that much,,,,idk it just had a stranglehold on me in the best way lmao

A tiny upturn of the corner of his lip, you knew what that meant once and it's slipped away, the memory of a page but not the words printed on it.

i gotta say that as far as favorite lines/passages go, the absolute first thing that comes to mind is dark blue (x), in which i had a lot of fun with imagery and 2nd person pov and just the concept as a whole. the final bit as well is a favorite, but it requires more context than just the quote itself, so i'll leave that for anyone who wants to read the fic lmao

Sometime is wish the homoerotic undertones of Blue Lock could be somewhat canonised for Ryusae specifically…

Purely because I think Shidou would use it to absolutely harass Rin to no end. Like, they’re currently stuck on the same team together so imagine Shidou just walking past Rin one morning and going “how goes things, future brother-in-law?” and Rin being absolutely LIVID at the notion that Sae has somehow made his life EVEN WORSE by dating the person he hates probably second most in the world (the first being Sae himself, of course).

Or Rin commenting on how Shidou’s performance on the field was “lukewarm” and Shidou just responds with “funny, that’s not what your brother told me last-“ and he wouldn’t get to finish because Rin has already gone in for a punch. Of course, Shidou is being all talk here. He just wants to really twist the knife and see what happens.

Or maybe one day Loki chastises Rin’s personality and Shidou takes the opportunity to say smth like “y’know, when me and Sae have kids I want their uncle to be someone who’s actually fun to be around”.

Or Shidou just drops random one-liners during training that have varying degrees of truth behind them (aka they’re usually completely untrue and Shidou is fully just trying to wind Rin up), like “I’m planning mine and Sae’s wedding rn. Do you want to be my best man coz I think Sae’s first choice is Aiku.”

Some other random one-liners I think Shidou would make up to piss Rin off include:

“I hope family dinners don’t get to awkward… since we’re colleagues, and all. Ideally I wouldn’t want to impose myself but you know how demanding Sae can be.”

“I’m so glad I don’t have your number coz some of the stuff I send Sae is for his eyes only.”

“What emojis do you associate Sae with? I’m changing his contact name atm. I was gonna go with red heart, peach, tongue, blushing face… but I need a second opinion.”

“God I miss Sae! Next time I see him I’m gonna hug him so tight and never let him go and stroke his luscious, soft hair that combs through my fingers while we make out and-“ (gets punched)

“What sort of presents does Sae like? I’m just thinking ahead to our anniversary. I wanna surprise him.”

Like he doesn’t have to make jabs at Rin’s appearance or performance on the field. The mere fact that Sae is dating Shidou is enough to fill Rin with unbridled amounts of rage, which ends up becoming an impossibly easy punchline. Rin ends up getting so angry and violent-minded that he fumbles over his comebacks and ends up making a fool of himself. Idk I just think Shidou would be able to find every possible way to use his relationship with Sae to drive Rin up the wall. Kaneshiro please canonise Ryusae specifically because I think Shidou would find it a comedy goldmine.

Ryume finds Emmett’s worst kept secret Art by @beepunz Story by Me

Emmett tossed a shirt out of his bag with a worried look on his face. Several articles of clothing and other items littered the inn room he was currently occupying.

“Ahhhh where is it!?” A frustrated mage yelled.

Emmett was in the middle of a panic. He was frantically searching a lost memento from his late master. As he was searching he questioned if he could have left it at the last Inn, or if it fell out of his pack on the road.

"No...no...I remember seeing it after we checked in." The dog-eared mage began walking around the room. In his mind, he was retracing his steps over the past few hours.

“I did take out a map at the bar! It could have fallen out there.”

It was the only lead he had at the moment. Emmett ran out of his inn room, hopeful to find his missing book. He ran past Ryume sitting at the table reading a book with some snacks.

Emmett stopped mid-run as his mind started to process the image before him.

Something was wrong here. Ryume would rather run 50 laps around the city in the pouring rain than sit down and read a book. As Emmett looked at her hands, his face turned pale. Ryume was reading he Snu Snu Survival Guide, the very book he was looking for.  The dog mage was happy he didn't lose the book but terrified that Ryume had it.

The Snu Snu Survival Guide contains many explicit, and very detailed acts of sexual intercourse between persons of normal size, and extra large women.  Emmett didn't know how Ryume would react to the book. Would she think less of him? Would she be angry?

Ryume turned around to witness her partner having a small freak out. She could tell he must be overthinking things again.

"Hey Emmett, how's it going?" The Amazon spoke up.

“Uh, how...how did you get that?”

"You dropped it at the bar. I was gonna give it back to you, but I just got a little curious." Ryume said as she closed the book and handed it back to Emmett. "Hope you don't mind if I ask to borrow it sometime."

The short mage looked up with a curious glare “You...enjoyed it?”

"Yea! I could tell right away whoever wrote knows a lot about Amazonian culture and struggles. Some of it even sounds the advice Granma Ryusa gave me."

"Well, I'm glad it's accurate," Emmett said holding onto the book. To be honest, he was a little curious of what an actual Amazon thought of the book, but he was far too embarrassed to consider asking.

"Let's keep this between us alright?"

“Huh? Why?”

"Because I don't want people to know my feti-..what I'm into." He said with a slight blush.

“You shouldn't be embarrassed about what you love! In fact, you should be able to shout it from the rooftops!” Ryume said with a thumbs up.

Emmett sighed and shook his head “It’s not that simple Ryume. Besides I’m more “What happens behind closed doors stays...” The short mage looked back up to see Ryume reaching for the Inn window. Emmett quickly shot a small ice beam at Ryume’s backside

“EEEEK” The fighter jumped back and began to rub her butt. “That’s cold Emmett!”

“You were about to open the window and shout out something embarrassing weren’t you.”

"N-n-no." The Amazon said while looking away from Emmett's gaze.

“I can’t take my eyes off you for a second!” The mage said as sat at the table and slumped into the chair.

“Then keep your eyes on this!” Ryume yelled as she sat down on top of Emmett.

“Ooof!” Emmett yelped as he felt Ryume’s weight on top of him.

“I’ll just sit right here until my butts warmed up, that way you can keep an eye on me ok?” She said with a happy tone.

Emmett rolled his eyes but smiled. “Yea ok, this works too.”
