if you let me go even more wild with my ass-theories, i'd say even Kaito can be a spy candidates if the writers are into the whole "guy who spents more than half of the story being a cowardly underdog is actually super smart and works for the enemies" trope.

or Haru if they're into the "shady fox eyes" trope.

Mushy May Day 12: Lazy Morning/Sharing a bed

It’s the first morning back to the abbey after a long, arduous tour cycle. They arrived back to the ghoul wing so late the previous night it was early, breaking off in groups of twos and threes back to their rooms. No one bothered to unpack, tossing duffle bags on the floors of their bedrooms and collapsing on their mattresses. 

Dew had grabbed Aether by the sleeve of his sweater and dragged him back to his room, leaving no room for argument, not that Aether would have said no to sharing a bed with Dew. They had both changed into clean sweatpants and crawled into bed, Dew clinging to Aether’s side like a limpet, one leg hooked over Aether’s hip. 

That had been several hours ago. Now, sunlight begins to creep in through the gaps in between the curtains, dust particles dancing gold in the air. A strip of light lands right across Aether’s eyes, who wakes from a dreamless sleep. His eyes flick open, groaning softly as he squints against the morning light. 

Aether runs his fingertips up and down Dew’s knobbly spine, his eyes half lidded. Dew’s still fast asleep, half-purring, half-snoring. His hair is falling out of the braid he threw it into on the bus last night. There’s a bit of saliva at the corner of his mouth, and Aether’s never seen something more beautiful in his entire life. 

He’s content to lay there, in Dew’s bed, as the sun climbs higher and higher into the sky outside. Aether doesn’t want to reach for his phone and disturb the ghoul still clinging to him, but he thinks he drifts back to sleep and wakes a few times before he’s up for real. 

Dew’s snores cut off as he wakes himself up. He tenses, eyes flashing open, and it seems to take him a moment to realize where he is. He looks around frantically before realizing that he’s in his own room, and relaxes into Aether’s side.  

“G’morning, baby boy,” Aether’s voice rumbles, raspy with sleep, and Dew presses his cheek further into his chest. “Welcome home.”

Dew sighs, nuzzling into Aether’s chest hair. “Fuck, it’s good to be in my bed again.”

“You can say that again,” Aether groans, stretching without disturbing Dew too much. 

“What fuckin’ time is it,” Dew says, turning to grab his phone off of the nightstand. He winces as the screen lights up, the brightness turned up too far. “It’s almost noon.”

“We have nowhere to be,” Aether says. “Unless you want something to eat?”

“Don’t wanna get up,” Dew whines, but his stomach betrays him with a growl. 

Aether snorts, and Dew smacks him lightly, huffing. “Oh, come on, darling. Let’s go grab something from the kitchen and come right back. We’ve got nowhere to be today, we can stay in bed all day.”

“That sounds fucking lovely, Aeth. I just don’t want to get out of this very nice bed any time soon, and I definitely don’t want you to leave.”

Aether sighs, wrapping his arms around Dew’s slight frame as he sits up. “Just hang on, baby. I’ll make you coffee the way you like it.”

Dew readjusts himself in Aether’s lap, locking his arms around his neck as Aether stands, holding Dew up with one arm. 

Aether makes his way through the empty corridors to the kitchen. The rest of the ghouls must have had the same idea as the two of them, staying in bed all day. The kitchen is deserted, and Aether sets Dew down on the kitchen island. 

Dew whines with a yawn, and is reluctant to let Aether go. “Lovebug, I need you to let me go so I can make coffee.”

Aether turns and takes two ceramic mugs from the cabinet. He turns on the coffee maker, and it gurgles to life. He quickly makes a pot of coffee, digging out the sugar jar and finding the creamer, thanking the Father Below that the kitchen was restocked in anticipation of the band’s arrival back at the abbey. 

He hands Dew a steaming mug of sickly sweet coffee as he turns back to the cabinets, looking for something to eat that won’t make too much of a mess out of Dew’s bedsheets. He grabs a few apples from the fridge as he puts back the creamer, taking a swig of his own coffee as he grabs the jar of peanut butter and a paring knife. 

Aether gathers his findings in one arm, turns to pick up Dew, and freezes, trying to work out how exactly he’s going to carry Dew back to his bedroom without dropping anything, spilling his coffee, or stabbing someone with the knife. “I don’t think I thought this all the way through,” he says as Dew throws his head back and cackles. 

Dew hops off of the kitchen island, nudging his shoulder against Aether’s. “Come on, loverboy, let me take you back to bed.”

you know, i found this random video on YouTube a few weeks back on a wip of a Friday Night Funkin' mod about Homestuck by bbpanzu and got curious enough to watch it.

while that shit played, i was there, looking through the comments for context over what the fuck i was looking at and i read this incomprehensible statement about time shenanigans and decide "you know what, i should read homestuck. ironically. if anything, reading it would check it off my bucket list."

and then suddenly, it's a week later and i find myself having consumed all 3000+ pages of Homestuck and played both Friendsim and Pesterquest and sobbing because i ended up writing a 10k word draft of self-indulgent fanfic for my eyes alone and then some.

:/ i have no idea what to feel about this accidental hyperfixation i'm now burdened with...

but hey! at least it got me to make this little doodle schmoodle with the dearest beloved that is MSPAR! <3

So the way I’ve worked it out young royals season 3 SHOULD drop in May/June 2024. I’m praying it’s 25th May-2nd June because then I have may half term and can binge watch season 1 and 2 before watching season 3 the minute it drops.
