Aaron Tviet singing the original arrangement of El Tango de Roxanne from Moulin Rouge! (2001) with BOTH opt ups is exactly what I needed in life and I can officially die peacefully now.

I love nicole kidman so much. her AFI life achievement speech where she literally names every director she's ever worked with (and that is a long list)... the humility, graciousness, passion, meticulousness. to watch her perform is an immense honor. I truly believe she is one of the greatest actresses of all time

BESTIE I’M LIVING FOR YOUR PRACTICAL MAGIC OBSESSION that’s my all time favorite comfort movie. I love it so much, Sandra Bullock’s character and her love spell and the detective? Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!! I kinda wanna watch it now! Back in the day I wrote a Hux fanfic based on it that I never finished eheheh. Not only is that movie such a vibe is also such a good AU for a lot of characters!! ALSO THE MUSIC? THE FASHION!? that movie is perfection.
AHAHAHAA IT'S A WHOLE «PRACTICAL MAGIC» RENAISSANCE!
like I literally had to search up the books because I discovered the movie comes from a series of books so here I am searching them up. BUT THEY ARE SO EXPENSIVE (and I shouldn't be allowed near a book store considering that last time I spent 67 euros last time I visited one).
and oh gods, ugh I did love sandra bullock's character but NICOLE KIDMAN AS A REDHEAD WITCH? ma'am, I fear that shall be my new personality.
and you are so right! like the whole scene of sandra bullock's character begging the aunts for her husband to be brought back? that's peak naoko (my csm oc) and kishibe. ugh, also I love the whole turning of the spoon on its own.
(and bestie, I need that hux fic LIKE ASAP).
and yeah, like there wasn't a sole aspect of that movie that didn't utterly enchant me; like the fashion? I want to dress up as aunt frances EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE. but also yeah, of course they had stevie nicks on it and in general, I loved the themes as I am a sucker of the whole platonic love above romantic love, ugh (like we recently talked with my friends and pls ugh).

Reasons why Moulin Rouge (2001) would be 10x better if Christian and Satine were lesbians
The forbidden love trope will always be more interesting with a queer couple
Cute fem x masc dynamic
Adds to the social outcast theme
Makes Satine being forced to be with the Duke that much angstier
Pretty duets!!!
No one does doomed love better than lesbians let's be real

"She always thought no one could truly love a broken woman.. But he just thinks there are more pieces of her to love."
"...is it I who is broken? Or you? Could we find that we 2 fit our broken edges together then and soothe one another's souls? If so, how divine the pain is when it brought your pieces to fit with mine."

for someone who claims to love the TGM cast as much as you do, you surely drag them through the mud a lot.
Because they’re men. Do I need to say more?
