leaning further into knox’s frame, you bit back a small sigh as you mustered up the most convincing smile you could and sipped your drink. normally, you would enjoy a party with knox. but for some reason even you couldn’t comprehend, you were desperate to just go home than spend another moment at this halloween party.

you weren’t even entirely sure who’s party it was. chris had invited you and the poets along to one of her friend’s costume parties, claiming they were always nothing short of incredible. but the amount of people cramped into the small living room was becoming increasingly unbearable.

“you okay?” knox pressed his lips to the top of your head, speaking quiet enough that only you could hear him.

“honestly? not really.” you confessed, looking at him apologetically.

for some reason, he smiled.

“me either.” he admitted. “wanna get out of here? we can go back to mine, celebrate with just the two of us.”

it was like you could breathe again, grin spreading uncontrollably as you pressed a kiss to his lips. you intertwined your fingers, his hands warm and comforting against yours. knox gave it a reassuring squeeze before leading you out, not without a glare in response to charlie’s obnoxious wolf whistle.

the sky was dark as you wandered the streets leading to knox’s house, the moon casting a majestic glow on everything its light could reach. this included your boyfriend, who’s features were highlighted to look almost angelic, his eyes aglow and cheekbones strong. before you could compliment him, he was already opening his door and gesturing for you to enter.

evenings with knox were always perfect; with some stolen candy that he assured you the trick or treaters wouldn’t miss, his fluffiest blankets, and an endless supply of horror movies, your halloween was no different.

it was your own party of two, you declared. and you wouldn’t want to have it any other way.

neil perry: folklore 

- i feel like this is self explanatory

- literally taylors rendition of shakespeare 

- it has incredible storytelling and lyricism which neil is a sucker for and also big escapism energy, which lets be honest is one of the reasons neil loves acting so much

- its cottagecore meets magic/fairy vibes which imo is neil to a T 

- ‘mirrorball’ was literally written about him 

- his favourite song is ‘cardigan’

- he has definitely cried while listening to ‘this is me trying’ 

todd anderson: evermore and red

- sad boi hours 

- lets face it todd is one of those people who loves to cry. he likes to go somewhere quiet to just sit alone and let it all out and these two albums are his go to for that 

- he’s also a hopeless romantic at heart so all the love songs hit him in all the best ways (hes definitely a secret stay stay stay stan)

- mans is a poets so he loves good lyricism. between ‘all to well’, ‘state of grace’, ‘champagne problems’, ‘coney island’, ‘evermore’ and a bunch more, both these albums knock it out of the park. 

- ‘gold rush’ was literally written about todd the minute he laid eyes on neil

- his favourite season is autumn

charlie dalton: reputation 

- this man loves people standing up for themselves 

- he definitely cried listening to the album knowing taylor was doing better after what happened to her

- this man HATES bullies. (thanks to nolan and his dad)

- he definitely screams ‘this is why we cant have nice things’ at the top of his lungs whenever it comes on 

- his favourite song is ‘don’t blame me’ (he definitely has a thing for religious undertones when it comes to sex) 

- he’s a ‘getaway car’, ‘cruel summer’, ‘august’, ‘gold rush’ stan

- he secretly really likes all the love songs (don’t tell the other poets) and he sometimes listens to ‘gorgeous’, ‘call it what you want’ and ‘delicate’ when he’s alone and daydreams about meeks like a lovesick puppy

steven meeks: fearless and lover

- meeks and pitts are fearless stans all the way. they definitely became swifties during fearless era so it has sentimental value and they also just LOVE her country stuff

- meeks also adores lover. he thinks its some of her best work and he also just loves how happy and good vibes it is, while still being so lyrically and sonically impressive 

- hes definitely a sucker for a good fairytale romance so his favourite song is ‘love story’. he’s just glad romeo and juliet could have a happy ending for a change 

- paper rings is his favourite song off lover and he can’t not dance if it comes on. he also made charlie and him matching paper rings when the album came out. 

- meeks loves his family a LOT so ‘the best day’ also has a special place in his heart

gerard pitts: fearless

- he and meeks joined the fandom in fearless era so its very nostalgic for him 

- pittsy loves taylors country vibes and he’s secretly also a debut stan 

- his favourite song is ‘the other side of the door’. he sings along to the bridge and outro at the top of his lungs every single time

- he definitely went through an intense country music phase at some point bc of taylor but in the end only her stuff really stuck long term. 

- he’s hoping for her to make another country album some day

a/n; ahh bestie thank you sm!! fanon!knox is a hopeless romantic and so am i, so i love this! i hope this does your request justice and hope you enjoy! of course like stated, this is all fanon knox, canon knox does not exist to me

knox first spots you on one of his bike rides away from welton (which he does a lot to get away from that place on weekends)

from the moment he lays eyes on you he’s in love because oh my god this is the most perfect person he has ever seen how are they even real-

he nearly crashes his bike because of it

seriously. he manages to miss the oncoming lamp-post by an inch or so because he was too busy staring at you to look where he was going

he’s never been more embarrassed and hopes to god you didn’t see that

but seeing a boy your age abruptly swerve on his bike and nearly tumble to the ground is definitely an attention grabber

how could you not notice him

it’s quite the first impression, and his flustered face is actually incredibly cute

you figure you should check on him rather than watch the poor boy struggle any further

“are you okay?” “yeah. hey, i guess you could say i fell for you!” “that was terrible!”

it may have been terrible, but it worked on you and as it turns out, knox is oddly endearing

it doesn’t take long for you both to get together. knox is relatively forward and asked you out quite quickly

when in a relationship, knox is so romantic, it’s incredible

he loves any form of affection, whether it be hand holding, cuddles, kisses, an arm around your shoulder

you name it, knox adores it

very intricately planned dates

in the first stages of your relationship when knox is still trying to figure out what you like, you go on so many different dates as he tries to see which ones you enjoy most

once he booked a really expensive, fancy restaurant for the two of you in the hopes of impressing you

being a pair of teenagers amongst middle-aged rich people hoping for a sophisticated meal was certainly an interesting night

this boy loves picnics

he pulls out all of the stops; the best picnic blanket he can find, the largest array of your favourite foods and snacks, a book to read to you, the prettiest meadow filled with flowers and trees

his mom used to watch so many romance movies when he was growing up, so he’s learned from the best

dancing in the rain is a must, if you’re up for it, as is stargazing and all of the other romantic cliches

will write you poems. he can’t promise they’ll be masterpieces - they’re usually just a short stanza, but they never fail to make you smile

loves giving you his clothes

you even so much as shiver on a date? knox is pulling his jacket off and pulling it around your shoulders before you can even say a word

he’ll often just hand you his jumpers to wear without even saying a word, just hoping you’ll put it on

constantly in awe of you

sometimes when you’re cuddling he’ll just admire you, tracing your features with a feather-light touch

knox is already an extremely caring and attentive boyfriend

seriously. he’s always checking in on you

so when you’re on your period? it increases ten fold

will buy you anything you need and more

he was a little awkward at first, asking you fifty times exactly what you wanted and being unsure about certain products

“so.. is there like, a certain size or..?”- knox, upon being asked to buy pads/tampons

but once he knows what you need and like, he doesn’t forget

he makes a note of it all, actually, but he won't tell you that

he always buys some heating pads, as he’s heard they help, along with so much junk food its impressive

if you want to lay in bed all day and complain to him about how shit you feel? fine by him

"it feels like my uterus is being ripped out by satan himself, and he's just poking it and jabbing it and stamping on it while he's at it" "i know, babe, i know. d'you want some more painkillers? a drink? hugs?"

as long as him being there makes you feel better, he'd sit there all week with you if you asked

if you feel ill? he's already bought tons of painkillers, but is more than happy to get you water and will hold your hair back for you at a moments notice

knox constantly reminds you how much he loves you when you're on your period, because it can make you feel like shit from time to time

if you lash out at him at some points, he tries not to take it to heart as he knows you don’t really mean it

if you get upset easily? he’ll wipe your tears and tell you shitty jokes to cheer you up

he just tries his best to make it a little less harder for you

if i had a knox to help me through my periods it would make them a bit better okay amen
