Happy birthday to Chieftain Bassus!

Today is his -451st birthday!

Bassus was known for his cruel, demoralizing tactics against his enemies, preferring force and torture over strategy.

Prior to the Great Schism, he was best known for his attack on human colony Kroedis II, daring to kill a San'Shyuum Minor Prophet and blame it on the UNSC. In response, the Fleet of Particular Justice, lead by Thel 'Vadam (then 'Vadamee) glassed the planet.

He eventually joined the Banished on Zeta Halo and was tasked with defending the dig site leading to the Conservatory. When the Master Chief attacked the dig site, and efforts to kill him failed, Bassus was forced to try to curtail him directly. He engaged the Master Chief in close combat, and was defeated.
