But my plan to post here and make public on youtube tomorrow after it was not available is now done with since is available/around already, so here I am posting it now as late as I can (but also not THAT late cause I was already wanting to post it and since it's around I'm not going to post super late either lol) But yeah I wanted to wait for the special to be done cause I think one should wait for it to stop playing to post so that more people see it wherever is playing (again I don't know how this metaverse thing works but don't want to hurt the views or whatnot) and then once is not available on those plataforms anymore to make it available for those who didn't see it. Your ask made me laugh! And I love that you're not the only one—someone else reached the end of that post and went "ah, French, well that explains it"

I thought maybe the sentence "Naturally my first assumption was that [the chef] was judging me for my food order" would make it clear that this was happening in France! I was actually telling a non-French friend the other day (when discussing a piece of US media) how insane it felt to hear a "French" character say "the customer is always right" in a restaurant.

But sometimes the customer gets impromptu catzones and that makes everything worth it <3

while I do like the added dialogue between Sally and Percy in the minotaur scene, namely Sally's speech to Percy telling him to hold fast, I really wish the scene had more of the urgency that it did in the book. Like Grover's heavily injured to the point of incoherency, Sally and Percy literally have to drag him up the hill, and that's when they're overtaken by the minotaur. In the show, having them all come to a grinding standstill and Grover being fully alert like "sorry I know we're being chased by certain death but your mom's human so she can't come :/" was kind of adflksadfjasdf

oh and in the book Percy doesn't immediately pass out. Instead, Percy doesn't let himself until he's hauled Grover over the boundary line and all the way to the big house because he needs help and it's only then does Percy finally collapse. and idk just the imagery of it all -- Percy crying for help, for his mother -- it always stuck with me and I wish they hadn't taken it out.

Seriously, how the Gotham Rogue is somehow the responsible person is… well, it’s a story to be sure, but hey, he’s actually pretty chill. And sometimes you need fear to eat and survive, they get it, it’s a liminal thing and a ghost thing.
