It’s the morning before the celebration of the New Year 2200 and this was a rare opportunity for Best Jeanist to give Katsuki some time off from hero work. Alright, Alright…gave is putting it lightly. Forced. Forced is more like it. Katsuki told Billie Jeans that he was fine. He’s just had a lot on his mind recently which made him just a tiny-smidgen-you-can’t-even-see-it-through-a-microscope upset! A lot being a green haired, green eyed freckled asswipe that has haunted his every wet dream almost every night since the end of the war in their first year. His hand has amazing stamina at this point. He just…can’t tell Deku his feelings for obvious reasons. Katsuki has been breaking his ass to reach his childhood goal of the Number 1 Hero spot. There is no time for shitty extras and sappy romances; they’ll just get in his way and he’ll never be number 1 with such distractions. Especially when one of the people in his damn way right now is Deku ranking 5th in the recent fucking hero charts with Katsuki at the 6th! THE 6TH! Stupid Nerd! Stupid Starry Freckles! Stupid Blinding Smile! Stupid Forest-laden Eyes! Stupid Chiseled Greek God Body! Stupid Voice that got deeper as they got older and now sounds like vocal chocolate that Katsuki wanted to lick into oblivion! S-Stupid EVERYTHING! Everything is out of order! First is Katsuki (ALWAYS) and then Deku (IF HE’S LUCKY!). So Katsuki Bakugo does NOT have time to take a vacation or date or do any other distracting thing when he could be doing more to up his ranks! Seriously, Universe?? Go fuck yourself.

Billie Jeans seems to disagree and thinks Katsuki’s “unwillingness” to not stay after work; his increased—albeit-already-abnormally-high-for-your-average-22-year-old—irritability toward anyone simply breathing; and his not-so-subtle-but-totally-not-a-big-deal “ExTReMe UsE oF FooORCe” as obnoxiously mentioned by the media on small-time villains will get in the way of his hero work.

Standing high on his designer Levi-branded soapbox, Denim Head went on the same rant he’s told Bakugo over a thousand times about how similar he was to the younger man as a hot-headed, childish, and arrogant new hero years ago. He paid a high price for his cockiness one day, when due to his lack of attention, a villain he apprehended broke loose, causing the death of a civilian and a still-missing child. That incident forever changed the way the fashion hero performed his duties, and he’s never stopped looking for the missing kid. He targeted the hot-headed ash blond because he didn’t want Katsuki to make a similar mistake and—blah blah blah.

Shit happens, ok?! I mean, Katsuki’s not heartless anymore, but he still knows that things don’t always come out perfect in a hero/villain situation. Jeansie didn’t go into much detail, but it wasn’t his fault, it was the villain’s. Right? Right. As for Katsuki, this was totally unrelated. So what if the younger blond hero used a howitzer impact on a petty purse thief last month? Makes the shitty villain more convinced to not do it or other crap like that again. Faster reform for the snatcher and a bigger message to the remaining extras in Japan who might want to try the same stupid crap on his watch. It’s win-win situation, right? But NNoOoOooOo. Apparently, that and yelling at reporters and making 1 or 2…or 4 dispatch workers cry within the last 5 days is means for Billie Jeans to give his explosive ash blonde sidekick of 3 years an ultimatum—take at least two weeks of earned leave or take two months of suspension from hero work. Guess which one Katsuki picked?

Sigh…so there he was. Begrudgingly at the favorite brunch restaurant of his Bakusquad (Raccoon Eyes, Soy Sauce Face, Shitty Hair, Ears, and Sparkplug), on the verge of getting kicked out since Damn Denki can’t hold his alcohol from the bottomless mimosas the table ordered. Katsuki doesn’t drink alcohol frequently and if he does, he has his reasons, but he doesn’t get shit-faced like the rest of his (don’t-tell-them-this) friends. It’s just wet carbs to him and he’s on a tight eating regime and sleep schedule. Mina is currently laughing her ass off and trying in vain to prevent the Chargedolt from getting on top of the table and singing a recent pop song VERY off-key. Soy Sauce Face and Shitty Hair are loudly yucking away about the MMA fighter line-up coming this weekend and Ears is just sitting coolly and seemingly unaffected…oh she has noise reduction buds on (good idea). And out of the corner of his eye, a poor young waitress stands off to the side, shaking her head, which Katsuki is sure he hears her say before she storms away, throwing off her apron: “They don’t pay me enough for this shit.” Tch. Same, Girl. Same.

“Guys! Guys!” loudly slurs the blonde electric hero. Luckily, it was was too early in the morning to be that crowded, but Mina’s always anticipated the rowdiness of the crew and booked a semi secluded area of the restaurant.

“Keep it down, Denks!” Demands Mina.

“Got it!” Continues Denki at the same volume. “Did you hear? Shindo is gonna propose to Midoriya tonight at the New Year’s Hero Gala!”

(Cue Record Needle Scratch) SCCCRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEECCCCCCHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

“HHHHHAAAAAANNNNNHHHHH???!!!!!!!” Katsuki interjects, hiding a twinge of sadness and jealousy under his signature angry scowl. He knew of Deku and Pan-Quake dating but didn’t think they were that serious.

Mina: “Oh, yeah, you didn’t know Blasty?”

Katsuki (tries to not express his annoyance): “Tch. My guess is Pan-Quake is just trying to use Dumbass Deku for his hero ranking to boost himself up.”

“Uh…” Speaks Kirishima, “Kats, I don’t know about that. I think Shindo’s been serious from the get-go about Mido since the provisional licensing exam.”

Sero mentions brightly: Literally swooped him off his feet that day!

“Haven’t they only been dating for about 8 months?” Asks Jiro, she seems to be suddenly engaged with conversation now that the voices have returned to reasonable decibels.

Sero: Yeah, but I think they’ve been off and on for the past couple of years. They’ve known each other for while, and they work at the same agency now, right? Mirko’s?

Denki (Sighs slowly while staring into the distance, sitting his chin in the palm of his hand): Oh, yes. My lavender lover is at Mirko’s, too!

Jiro (smirking): So is Momo.

Kirishima (bringing the conversation back to the greenie): I think Yo-kun’s been chasing after Midobro since he got back from his overseas mission after we all graduated.

Mina: Naw, even before then too, Babe. Remember when all the hero schools partnered more after the war? Whenever we combined with Ketsubutsu, Yo-kun had nothing but heart eyes for Midoriya then too.

Denki (coming back to earth): Well…If my gossip is right, and it always is, Shindo is going all in. Even the Sahara Desert doesn’t compare to his thirst for the green bean.

Sero: Didn’t Izuku save him from Muscular when he went on his vigilante shit?

Denki: Holy fuck, you’re right!

Mina: No wonder he’s head over-heels!

Jiro: I mean, yeah, have you guys even seen the new magazine highlighting the top 5 heroes recently??

Oh…Um…Yeah…Katsuki definitely saw the new magazine and NO he didn’t get it because of the shitty nerd even though that was his first time buying the magazine since All Might retired. He got it for…for…analytical purposes…yeah…ANALYTICAL PURPOSES for when he outranks Deku in the next hero billboard charts in a few months. Nice to get an idea of what they’ll ask him when he hits top 5. And NO, Katsuki absolutely didn’t go home and read and reread the entire article on Deku for over 45 minutes completely ignoring the rest of the magazine. And under NOcircumstances-NONE-NADA-ZERO-did he jerk off once or twice or four to Stupid Deku’s photo spread! Katsuki was still having a hard time focusing, not just on the magazine which he may or may not take out later for more analytical purposes, but marriage? The nerd? To some extra like the human vibrator of all people? Didn’t Deku have standards? And plus, aren’t they all too young? Yeah, they’ve seen some shit with the war and everything, but for Katsuki, that only fueled him to get to his dreams faster of being the number 1 hero, not…ya-know…fall in love or anything like that. Or admit his love to Number 5 for that matter. He’s had a few flings and one-night stands to get the edge off, but he’s not longed for anything beyond that, well…it doesn’t help perhaps that he mostly imagined his partners with freckled and scarred skin, green hair and green eyes, but still.

Kirishima: Woof. Who hasn’t seen it? Our little Greenie’s come a long way, hasn’t he? Super ma—

Denki: —I’d like to make him come a long way, if you catch my—

Jiro: Puh-lease Denks, it’s 10 in the morning!!!

Denki: Okay! Okay. Either way, it’s definitely happening tonight. My sources—

Kirishima: What sourc—

Denki: Doesn’t matter. My sources say that Shindo No-Mo-Ho has had the ring since the summertime, and was actually planning on taking our Mido to Yuuga’s Restaurant and Vineyard to propose then, but ya know…hero work and all that.

Sero: Did you say Yuuga’s? As in Aoyama Yuuga?

Mina: Yes, the one who refused to tell us how or why he managed to bitch Mineta.

Jiro: In all fairness, Grape Juice was a sick bitch to begin with.

Denki: He goes by WineNDine now. Remember? Either way, Whatever magic or quirk our blond drag glitter queen pulled, had Mineta singing a new tune when we came back as second years.

Katsuki found himself tuning them out on their next wave of gossip, his thoughts going toward a man of green. As a matter of fact, when was the last time he talked with Deku? Like really talked? Was it Auntie’s and All Might wedding a year and a half ago? Shit. He really dropped the ball in keeping up with him. Izuku texts him every now and again, but Katsuki rarely responds back and if he does, it’s normally short responses. Nothing to keep the conversation going. Now that he thinks about it, he hasn’t heard from the nerd in a while.

Mina (reaching over the table to wave a hand in Bakugo’s face): Blasty…Yoohoo?! Are you still on earth with us?

Katsuki (shaking out of his daze): SHUT THE HELL UP!

Denki: Ah, there he is. So…how are you feeling about this Kats?

Katsuki: Fuck do you mean. Dunce Face?

Kirishima: Come on Bakubro, we all know you’ve been pining for Mido for a long LONG time now. Holding in your true feelings’ not very ma—

Katsuki: —I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Throwing up their hands together in perfect practiced choreography, Jirou, Kirishima, Sero, Mina and Denki all grunt in unison: UGH, HERE WE GO AGAIN!

Katsuki: WHAT?!

Kirishima: Seriously?! Bakubro, how long are you going to do this for?!

Sero: Well…you know what guys? Now that I think about it, it’s too late isn’t it?

Mina: To tell the truth? It’s never too late for that, even it’s just to get it off your chest. –nods at Sero then returns her attention to the irate blond—Blasty, you’ve almost died! Both of you! All of us! Multiple times! None of those moments ever showed you that maybe—just maybe—that life is too short to handle your relationship—

Denki: Or lack thereof

Mina (continues over Denki): —the way you do?

Jiro: We all know he confessed to you the night of the graduation party.

Katsuki: Wha-how do you know that, Ears?!

Kirishima glared at Katsuki—a rare sighting on his normally happy-go-lucky friend: Bro, because he asked us for advice on how to approach you about it.

Oh no. The nerd got the squad involved? Shit.

Sero (voice downcast): Yeah, Kats, he wanted to see if we might know how you’d respond.

Denki: We all told him yes, that you…

Katsuki: —that I what?

Mina: that you liked—maybe even loved—him beyond the platonic sense.

Jiro: Yeah, Bakugo, the signs were all there. By our 3rd year—hell even before then—you shifted when it came to Midoriya. You may have spewed the regular insult, but it didn’t have as much bite as it did as in our first year.

Kirishima: When you two sparred or went out on your internships or just hung out with everyone during game night, you were a Wonder Duo. Like you two worked so perfectly in sync as if you were made for each other—on and off the field. It was incredible to see that, it was super ma—

Sero: —Plus, it was the way you looked at him sometimes Kats. Don’t think we never noticed. By the time we graduated, you would get more and more “angry”—sero puts up air quotation marks—by the tiniest stuff Midoriya would do. You paid attention to him more; you’re damn eyes were pretty glued to him.

Denki: You even smiled more! God, the first time that happened, I thought you were demon possessed! I was half tempted to asked you for your TIC (Toga Identity Code)!

Mina: So, imagine our surprise on graduation night, when you came back down from the roof top alone huffing and puffing with poor Midoriya nowhere in sight? We only learned later that he locked himself in his room for two days only to suddenly pop out afterward and tell everyone he’d taken a job overseas for a year.

Of course Katsuki remembers that night. Too fucking well actually. While he has many regrets he refuses to voice—other than his apology for how he treated Izuku when he was younger—the one he made that night…made the top spot.

CUE FLASHBACK START: MAY 11, 2196

On graduation night, bathed in the twilight's bittersweet purples and pinks, Izuku mustered his courage. Sweat coated his palms, and his heartbeat reverberated in his ears like a dolorous chant. The time had come.

Katsuki always paid close attention to details. It was in those details he found his next move. Always a man of action. Every knoll and cranny of the UA whispered tales of his own journey of a hero in training. For three years, they had been together — him, his friends, and his insecurities, and most interestingly…Izuku. The feelings that blossomed for the greenie over time were just as vibrant as the man itself. Tonight as he followed Izuku to the UA rooftop, the echoes of his past were overpowered by the pulsating rhythm of his heart.

The door to the rooftop creaked under their history, blending with the laughter of nervous anticipation.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Izuku asked, gesturing to the vast cityscape bathed in the moon's tender glow. The neon lights flickered on and off like fireflies.

Katsuki nodded hesitatingly, attempting to purge the sinking feeling from his heart and replace it with the grandeur of the scene. Everything to Katsuki was Izuku. The latter had been a constant. The anchor in his raging storm, keeping Katsuki together and grounding him though he didn’t admit it. But there was a strange energy in the air tonight, a sense that something irrevocable was on the brink.

"I've, uh, I've wanted to tell you something for a while now, Kacchan," Izuku began, drawing Katsuki's attention away from captivating view of the city they’ve saved countless times as a Wonder Duo to the more mesmerizing view of the man beside him. This wasn't the same scrawny, quirkless boy who Katsuki betrayed and used as a punching bag. This Deku was different. This was Izuku.

At first glance, he would pass as the person the blond used to know. Same green eyes that sparkled with peridots and emeralds, but these held an added depth to them, hardened like a diamond under pressure. His hair was still viridian evergreen but ran wild like tiger stripes, earning him an air of rugged charm. His well-worn ridiculous ‘T-Shirt’ t-shirt hugged his bulkier frame, revealing the physical testament to a sudden life of heroics as the ninth and final wielder of One for All. Katsuki examined Izuku, his heart squirmed in its cage, caught off guard by an overwhelming rush of emotions. God…could the nerd have looked more glorious?

His voice trembled slightly, “Kacchan, I…uhm…”

Katsuki’s never been a man of words. Neither was he a patient one and his nervousness definitely didn’t help lighten the mood, but he barked with no bite: “Spit it out, nerd. Haven’t we gotten past you being nervous and shit around me?”

Izuku: Well, it’s…this…is not that easy.

Katsuki: Come out with it, dumbass, I ain’t getting any younger!

Izuku: I love you! Or rather I like you a lot. But like…like like. Is that too much? I just—”

Izuku rambled on but the world spun around Katsuki, and he didn’t hear a damn thing. A strange feeling, a cocktail of excitement, relief, and dread, settled in his gut. The confession mirrored the blonde’s feelings and stirred a gale in his heart yet; he utterly feared the repercussions. He wanted Izuku. Gods, he wanted him. Strip him bare, bend Deku over and ram into his ass right then and there with all the stars and holy hosts watching above them, but Katsuki couldn’t. The blond didn’t want to address those types of feelings. Not right now. After dying at the war and learning of the sacrifices made to keep him alive, he became even more determined to pursue his dream of the Number 1 Hero spot. He didn’t want to make time for…this…but in the future, yes. Oh gods yes, Izuku please. And if he was honest, he felt Deku deserved better. Preferably someone who didn’t come up with the name “Deku.” Someone who didn’t hurt him. Someone equally loyal and bright and blinding. Izuku’s freckled Adonis body only knew Katsuki’s hands as an abuser, a bully, a rival, and the blond didn’t know if his hands could be anything else for Izuku beyond that. Coming back from his thoughts and catching the nerd in a mutter, his heart ached at his decision.

Izuku: “I-I have been in love with you for—uhm—for…geez…ever? I just didn’t want for both of us to graduate today and not tell you how I fe—

Katsuki couldn't meet his gaze, feeling himself a traitor: I don’t love you.

Silence followed his declaration — pure and unwavering, casting a hallowed spell over them.

Izuku, the bright ray of sunshine that he his…Izuku’s smile didn't falter, but in his eyes were trees of the deepest rainforest rocked and bent relentlessly back and forth from a hurricane of hurt. Katsuki wanted to take the words back then and there. The blond cared for him, loved him with a passion as explosive as his quirk, but his own insecurities and fears of commitment clouded his senses. He was too afraid to accept that he could be enough for Izuku, that he could, in fact, love him, worship him the way Deku deserved.

Izuku: I….oh. Oh. I…

Katsuki eyes brimmed with an uncanny mixture of regret and guilt. He tried to hide his hitching breath, and he felt the world beneath them give away.

Katsuki: Sor-, I-, Deku, Y-you need get over me. Get over this. I-I’m s…I just. I’m not in love with you like that.

Izuku (stutter completely gone): I understand. Thanks for being straightforward, Kacchan.

Katsuki: Tch. W-whatever nerd. We won’t speak of this again. This will stay between us, y-yeah? Just—let’s just get back downstairs.

Izuku: I’ll head down in a minute. –wipes at a tear falling down his cheek— Enjoy the party.

Leaving Izuku on the rooftop, Katsuki returns to the commotion below. Despite the masses moving with Jiro’s music, he can feel eyes on him as he made his way to kitchen.

Kirishima looks nervously at Sero, Mina, and Denki before speaking: “Bakubro, y-you um-“

“What Shitty Hair?” huffs the blond, irritated by the existence of people in general at the moment, saddling roughly at the kitchen island bar.

“Nothing Blasty, here’s a drink!�� Interrupts Mina, giving Kiri a woeful smile and a slight shake of the head. “Congrats on uh…getting an offer at Best Jeanist’s Agency.”

“Tch. Of fucking course. What would Billie Jeans do without me?” He spits, his eyes never making contact with theirs’s.

Denki shakes his head and offers a wince that passes as a tired smile. He sighs. “Yeah. Yeah Kat. Congrats.”

The night weighed on Katsuki like no other. When the nerd returned from the US, he became an even greater force to be reckoned with: more confident in his sense of self, more fluid in his quirk, more socially adept, more devastatingly beautiful, and Katsuki just didn’t know what to feel. His feelings never changed for Deku; they only deepened. As they deepened, Katsuki grew more distant.

FLASH BACK END.

Katsuki can barely form a coherent thought. He needed some time to himself. The nerd wasn’t seriously tying the knot right now was he? They’re in their 20’s for Kami sake, should they be really thinking about heavy crap like marriage when they have the rest of their lives to go for that sappy shit? And why fucking Pan-Quake? Katsuki abruptly rises from his seat, grabs his wallet and puts cash on the table for his portion of the meal. He’ll get to the bottom of this.

Katsuki: Just leave it alone, guys. As long as the nerd is…happy.

Kirishima: Kat. We were just—

Katsuki makes a predatorial glare at the squad before pacing out: Leave. It. Alone.

Denki (woefully too inebriated to care about the death glare): Wait, where are you headed out to, Kats?

Katsuki (already walking away shouts over his shoulder): Picking up some shit for the old hag! Now, fuck off!

As the blond makes his way out toward his car, he whips out his phone to do something he realizes he hasn’t done in a while: initiate contact with Izuku. Upon closer inspection of the text message dates when he presses send, he comes to a startling discovery:

“Holy shit. How did I forget the nerd’s birthday?”

Happy 94th birthday, Grandma Honey: These two extra new editions for my memorial portrait of my Late Maternal Grandma: Helena "Honey" Stockwell my Vivid Acrylic Edition of her, made with a little bit of TomBow Watercolor markers for her eyes and skin since my fine point acrylic marker Sharpie Brand Set didn’t come with Brown and Peach colors in the 1st pic of the compilation post, and the 2nd pic in this compilation post being my Neo-Mirage Edition of her done with the old school B&W Indie Comic style gray tones done with hatching, crosshatching, and manga style hand inked stippling of course, and the 3rd to 5th pics of my memorial portrait of grandma honey are the ones you already know I previously did after she passed away sadly so. One of my good pals at my ECF Art Studio in Inglewood made two print copies my traditional B&W Edition of my grandma’s memorial portrait around two weeks before her funeral event occurred on June 1st 2024 four months ago now (as of 10-27-2024 of writing this post’s caption of course), and I just got back from my San Francisco-vacation to post this from L.A. Home since the hotel WiFi from Beresford Arms was just too wonky as it always in hotel rooms except the Lobby which seems more stable at that part of the B.A. Hotel ironically so, but at least I’m not a belated day too late this time. So I hope you folks like the two newest editions I’ve for my Late Maternal Grandmother of course. And happy birthday to you, Grandma Honey. I hope you’re up in heaven watching over me and our family and friends in the afterlife these days. I still miss you dearly.

Been playing Judgment, I'm looking forward to playing the sequel, Lost Judgment.

One thing that bothers me about the game, the ages of some of the potential girlfriends the main character (Yagami, white t-shirt, leather jacket) can date. The first is a teenager, Sana. She's only 19, Yagami is 35 and my character ain't dating no teenager. Fortunately, you can decline a relationship with them, which I did. Later on in the game Yagami meets a new woman, Nanami, who is more age appropriate. Nanami (she's 29) is in the 3rd to last pic, meeting up with Yagami.

One cool (sometimes annoying though) aspect of the game is tailing people *4th and 5th pics are Yagami tailing someone involved with a married man*. Yagami is a former lawyer who now runs his own detective agency and some of the jobs involve a client tracking someone's movement (usually a wife/husband suspecting their spouse might be cheating), so you tail them from point A to point B. Sometimes disguised, but most of the time not. Whenever infidelity is a possibility, Yagami will take pics of the parties entering/leaving love hotels as proof to show his clients. At times it is annoying because a few are paranoid, some will backtrack and spot you so you have to find the nearest corner/sign/car to duck behind, but overall it's fun.

The city (Kamurocho) is interesting and entertaining as usual (if you played Yakuza and/or Like A Dragon then you already know the city) since you can walk around/take pics and/or selfies, eat at various restaurants/cafes, go drinking and/or play darts at a bar, shop at a Poppo conbini (convenience store) for bento/snacks/drinks/cigarettes/cat food, buy gifts for the woman you're dating from Le Marche, and/or play games at the Sega arcade locations or a more traditional game like Shogi (or go to the underground gambling den for poker and blackjack).

Yagami can take part in drone races, too, since part of his job as a detective is using a drone to track/find someone *or a cat lol*, so you can use your drone for fun as well *can customize it too*.

Unlike the Yakuza/LAD games, there seems to be no karaoke or hostess clubs Yagami can patronize. Hostess clubs seem more Yakuza anyway, but I'm a little disappointed that I can't have Yagami and Kaito spend some afternoons singing cheesy songs at the local karaoke joint 😂

The last pic is Yagami playing a VR game, you win prizes which are automatically converted into money. The Poppo conbini clerk is Dwayne Cruise (yeah, you can tell they just randomly came up with a name that sounded Western lol), one of many characters in the city you can befriend. I think I might be getting addicted to the VR game lol!

I also like the fact that your character has a home (similar to the Yakuza/LAD games), they can go and rest up/sleep, listen to music (which also heals you if you didn't eat/drink anything) and decorate the place too. Yagami's home is actually his office, so he'll bring/invite clients there to discuss any potential jobs they have or side jobs will automatically be posted on the board once Yagami meets the requirements to unlock them. The law office Yagami used to work at as a lawyer, Bar Tender and roaming around the city is where you'll come across more side jobs. I also like the fact that once you befriend the landlady, she'll occasionally leave meals in the fridge for Yagami.

The absolute worst part of this game though is the "Threat Level" meaning gang activity will be at an all-time high, with 2 gang leaders showing up in 2 spots (usually the same area) for a period of time. It goes down quickly if you defeat one or both of them.

It's annoying because it happens after about an hour in-game, you always get a text from Kim (Korean restaurant owner you helped protect from the gang earlier in the game) warning you about them right. You can ignore it, but Kim texts you trying to shame you for ignoring it. Also, you don't get any money and very little experience points (called SP in the game that you spend to gain new abilities/level up) so it's not worth it beyond the ingredients Kim mails to you after you defeat at least one of those leaders. Normally after I defeat one, the weaker one lol, threat level goes from 98%-100% to 45%-50% then I just run to a bar (that's part of the main story, someone was murdered there so it's empty) and just hang out there or in the back of the bar if I wanna hear music from a nearby club lol until the threat level disappears.

From what I've read there's no way to stop it, even after you beat the game it will continue popping up.

I'm assuming there were a lot of complaints about it because they didn't add it to the sequel.

Welcome to 2023

Version 1.0 - Ok let's go. I'm really happy to greet you on this December 31 2022 18h06, because it means this sum up has great chances to come out on time ! (Well, more or less, si je fais pas le papillon entre temps.) Yes, compared to the sum up of last year, we will switch back to English for this one. Why ? Without thinking much, I'd say that among all the events that happened to me in 2021, none of those described were private, intimate. (Well I just read it again and it seems I'm wrong but whatever). Reading it again is interesting because it could do a good starting point to this one. To be honest, I'm writting right now with a few notes but nothing really ... structured. So this is the moment when I warn every reader : this sum up is something personal that I write above all for me, so my priority is that I understand myself when I read it again. When I say that, I talk about the events/facts that I relate without getting too much into details or telling who it might concern. But I'm sure that if you recognize yourself in the events I'm talking about, it might be about you. In fact I (almost) never give names. Only nicknames based on numbers (might be odd and dehumanizing but idk ... no names seems like a natural rule to me). So, I need to be going fast so here's the plan : giving a good 2nd part of this intro, finding the illustration, and then getting into serious business with the real recap of this year 2022. A lot of stuff will be mentionned here. I'd like to remember all the movies and tv shows that I followed this year (Better call saul, for example). Here's the thing : I write to remember. I know my memory is bad so I like to write things to remember them. I like to write neutral things (stats, how much wins in Tekken, number of posts on this Tumblr etc) but I also like to write about feelings. Feelings by definition are not lasting in time. So this is the reason why I wanted to write this sum up on time and I'll try to express it in French. Je m'en serais voulu que ce post appartienne trop à 2023. En le postant (ou du moins en le commençant lol) en 2022 je sais que je capture ma pensée de 2022 et aucunement celle de 2023. Donc ca fait garder une complete ignorance de 2023. This will be important later in this text. We don't know what 2023 will be made of. For instance, we have already seen years I praised some people believing they were good people and they were gone the next year. But that's life isn't it. But the problem I'm facing this year might be a bit different, but I'll also detail that later. So, what are we going to talk about in the following lines ? That's the great question. It will be very meta and this whole thing might be a lot of words to express someething that could surely be said simpler. So if you're going to read that entirely please don't be too disapointed at the end. Oh. that makes me think this year we will be using emojis to make it slightly less painful to read. Or at least, easier to read diagonally (I'm not sure if this will work but nevermind (nvmd) I have to try, I swear scrolling through the 2020 sum up feels like scrolling though the Bible). The fun thing is that I want to make it long but I kinda need to hurry because 2022 ends in less that 6 hours. So here's the plan : 1st i'll try to give all the subjective things : numbers of all kinds, tv shows, movies, karate data, and all I'll be able to think of. 2ndly I'll talk bout the goals of this text. Then, because art results from contraints, we'll be talking about the ones I'll impose to myself to write this. 4th might be a comparison to the previous sum up, 5th the precise recap of marking events that year followed by random thoughts (might be the the most evolutive part as this sum up will not come out in time).

So here we are, for real. By now you must know we're January 2nd. I really wanted it to come out in time but finally I have a few things to say so I made the choice to not rush it. So I'm not going to rush it but because I want it to release asap, I'm going to make a few choices to talk about the most significant subjects I'll find. SO, here you'll find a whole paragraph talking about ; TV shows, movies, karate data (competitions) Tumblr Stats : 4155 posts and 73 drafts. 16 655 likes (oh they diminished ! Guess ppl are deleting their tumblrs). 799 followers. Usually I take time to thank all these followers but let's be honest these are only bots I know I'm alone in this whole tumblr adventure but it's cool that way (If I wanted to make it public i'd go to instagram or tiktok or wherever the young folks are ahah).

Ok. I'm alone in this adventure and I'm writting for me. But what's the purpose of this whole thing ? The goal is to be intimate and honest. No matter how long after I read it again, I want those lines to remind me of everything in the moment present. I'll remember the rush it is to make it come out in time for instance. I don't want these feelings to be forgotten. If you know me, you know I have a fetish for dates. For example, I know dates like January 29th, June 26th, August 18th, October 19th or December 15th have proven to be lucky for me. But the thing when you remember everything is you also remember the painful memories. That's why I stopped having agendas a few years ago. It is funny to mark down everything that mattered on with the precise date but now I want to leave room for my "true" memory. Not stuff i wrote. Idk if that makes sense. If an event affects me, I want to remember it because it made me feel something strong (but not necessarily good). This is where this text is important. Arbitrarily, I have the choice to write about the things I want to remember later (as we know my memory is weak af). But I'm not gonna sugarcoat it (lol I love this expression). I said it will be honest. But I'm keeping in mind this is still public so I still have to weigh my words. Writing at the end of the year allows me to step back from the events of the year (easier to do with January than december but it's the thought that counts.)The goal of this text is also to be full (complet). If we forget the lack of time I have, by the end of November I already felt the urge to write. That might mean I had something to get off my chest, and the events of December didn't help and overflew me with emotions but I'm only taking time now to pour them out in words. I'm having a lot of thoughts. Most of them are about getting old. I don't know if I already said it but finally, I can start understanding all these Disney villains trying to be forever young and stuff. That's fascinating. I'm also thinking a lot about karate, competition, family, friendships and relationships. I'm thinking a lot about myself, how I evolved and how I can be better than I was and overall a better human. But still, I want to improve, but I still think I'm not good enough to be part of a couple. Funny uh ? This sum up is also a way for me to try new things, experiment. I still don't know in which form but I'd love to make 2021 2022 and 2023's sums up a trilogy, so it would be interesting to really compare this on to the previous and make bets on the future year of 2023.

"L'art naît des contraintes". I LOVE this concept. When I write this, it's almost always the sames. Now we'll start talking about substance and form. The most obvious here is : french is my mother tongue but I'm still writing in English. 3 main reasons for this. First : I love English language and it's a very interesting exercice to find myself writting in English at least once a year. I also think this is a language which is "less precise" than French but it permits it to draw better pictures with words. I'm still getting more comfortable with english speaking videos on youtube (thanks to Eric Rosen and GothamChess, to only name these). But it can be more annoying for my relatives who don't like english that much and I'm sorry for that. The second reason is I have the feeling that writing in another language allows me to take distance from what I write. It gives me a feeling of objectiveness (even if what I'm writing is very personal). Third reason : I want to keep away not interested readers. Idk like, curious people I might know, or ppl who are not in my life anymore (but I'm a bit screwed if their English is good lol). 2 others contraints are : date and length. This is where it's getting complex. First, I want it to be long. Also for the unwanted curious people. But overall I want it to be a good sum up, a positive one. So if I want to talk about something good, a good year that happened to me I want it to even look big. But this year, i'll try to make it lighter to read. I'll use paragraphs. And ... that's the best I can do (thinking of it again, i'm not sure I'll be able to fill this text with emojis). I also want it to be long because all of these words are hiding something. It would be deadly personnal if I just opened my heart and write my feelings in plain sight. But the more I write, the more it gives me comfort as I know my important words will be drowned in all these lines. So I know I can express myself pretty freely. I express myself so freely that I might even say everything and its contrary here. Because some things make me feel complex things.The last contraint is that I wanted to make it before 2023 for simple reasons. The first is that I want to prove myself I'm doing ok on this end of 2022. This might look simple but not so simple seen how this end of the year has been challenging me on a whole lot of levels. But I'm doing fine and I want to prove it by releasing this text on time. Because now nothing keeps me away from functionning correctly. Which has not been the case some previous years because some troubles kept taking me forces to just survive. But thank God now it's not the case. Let's not get mistaken here. This year have been challenging. But it's not ending "that bad". So I told myself "You're doing fine so you can do your sum up on time." ... well at least, I could start on time. I overestimated myself thinking I could write this under 24/48h but it's my bad lol. Another one of my contraint : I want to keep anonymous the people I'm talking about, and for that I'll stay elusive about the events I'm talking about. If you're involved, you'll know what I talk bout reading it (if i did write correctly). I think this is a cool way to share a little bit more of intimacy and complicity. Plus if what I wrote made you smile or made you feel well you know where to read it again. :)

So : let's compare to 2021 sum up. Let's see what have changed, where I was right, wrong. The 2021 was short so this shouldn't be too difficult.

Comparaison au sum up précédent. Well, the first thing I see is : "welcome to 2022" have not been posted in time lol. 2 months late. But I was just lazy but still functioning (even though December '21 and January '22 have been tough). This is funny, the VPN hidden visitor stopped visiting. I guess one can run out of curiosity. The previous one was interesting because I could start talking about the photography to explain how the year went. But this year the photo is a bit more ... casual. I've not been present at this xmas at my cousin's house. So no tuxedo photo for me. What a rough evening. As 2021 have been marked by a real rupture, 2022 have been a lot more steady ... But still not boring. "Some years ask questions and some years answer." I think this year I've asked myself more questions than I've answered. This is crazy because when I wrote the previous one in February, war in Urkaine already started so this is what I mean when I say "Writting the sum up right on time allows to not spoil any of the 2023 events in it". Like, a war in Europe in 2022 ? This is crazy. Even my dear DB have been worried about this situation even if it's a bit far from her hometown. Last year I talked a lot about this tumblr coming to an end. I still think what I wrote but like I said, I would like to give a happy end to this blog. This can easily become a hard thing to accomplish. Here are the ends I'm thinking of. The most obvious one would be to find a lover and ending it with her. Another way would be to be successful in karate, in a precise objective I'd have given myself. I have a few in minds, some more realistic than others, but it could happen. Or the third would be to be fully accomplished, solving all the issues I have and going forward. (Or even end it because I'd be artistically satisfied with my tumblr). The funny thing about this year is that I could almost have ended this tumblr because of the 1st reason. Among the questions I've asked myself this year, there was "are you ready to put a woman in the middle of your life?" and I guess the answer was no, as I already could answer by the end of 2022. 1st, being able to ask myself this question is already a HUGE step forward in possibly finding someone. But it's not that clear. I've been facing this question a bit in a hurry situation. And those who know me know I'm not a fan of pressures under whatever forms. I don't like time pressure. But when the timming goes wrong, what can you do ? To be honest I started asking myself questions by November. But I wasn't thinking into it that much. Even though I was already pretty involved (a lot of kms have been driven those 2 months, but I don't regret any), I still took it pretty lightly because I was confident. In fact my biggest mistake was to think "Now time works with me. We're here and we're on the same wavelength (what a funny word), all we have to do is to get to know each other better and better." ... My friends what a mistake. So this is how I learned that time never works with you. Learnt it the hard way but not that hard. To be 100% honest, I've already had nightmares of this before she confessed to me she found someone else. So I didn't fall from any piedestal, thank God. In fact, while I write I remember all the previous sum ups and I remember telling myself "You should put yourself in the center of your sum ups" but for this year I want to change a bit. I would like to put ❤️ in the middle of this sum up. I want to talk about love. Because one of the biggest question of this year was "If the woman you've been waiting for all these years would show up, would you recognize her ?" and once again the answer was not that obivous. I'm talking about the downs of the relationship we have but be sure you'll read about her perfectness, from head to toes, and her lovely brown/green eyes who look even better when they're watching me but sorry I digress. So this tumblr is closer to the end than the begining, but I guess we will all see it coming. I already mentionned the lack of time I was victim of. 2022 didn't make it better. I'm reluctant to talk about all that here but I can't deny it took a lot of place in my life. Even though I don't define myself by my "wroking value". But I guess when my work is an argument mentionned when I'm explained why I'm not worthy of a couple, we can say it's pretty invading. But it's not like I ignored it. Maybe I've been thinking backwards on this. I remember thaking God last year telling myself "I can live this lifestyle because I have nobody in my life" so I shouldn't be surprised when a woman tells me "There's no place for me in your life". I'm a bit scarred my choices already put me on a path of loneliness. Yes, this is a real fear, but I'm quietly preparing to it. Being lonely on the bad days was the worst, but we can say I adapted a bit. So, I'm getting used to this idea, and starting preparing my dad also for this idea. This December 18th was a challenging day, as much as the whole following week have been. I'm talking about the 1st medal post covid in 2021 but 2022 saw the 1st loss after ~20 years (17 or 18 years to be precise) being undefeated in Midi-Pyrénées. Also on that December 18th. Still trying to recover from that loss but I think I'll do fine. I've seen others. But the karate question have been very present this year. As a competitor and as a sensei. In 2021 I wrote down "what goes up must come down" and hell I came down in 2022. But we know that's how it goes nobody stays up forever (except for lovers who can support each others for long periods of time). I'm still inspiring some kids but I have the feeling this year I have to be here for them if I don't want to waste anything. We could end with a very strong family but now as a turning point I guess. But I still have 2~4 years to hold on at least before I could retire. I'm still into chess. I met a woman I just played chess with, it was a very curious encounter but a fun one.

Now predictions for 2023 ... the ones for 2022 were pretty accurate indeed, if we forget that I was not ready to cross the path of a woman that phenomenal. Yes it was a quiet year because nothing serious happened. By that, I mean my father health was better than never, we went to the gym together and all so I couldn't ask for more :) Now the 1st thing that I can think of is ... Sunday, February 26th will be a date. Maybe answers will be given. Otherwise ... This will be a year of changes, hope it won't be too rough. I always hope for a peaceful year. I like those. I always say "It's better to be bored than dealing with issues". Could be my motto, I don't know. For last year, I remember wishing to stay focused on "competition and currency" ... Guess I'm still on these motives, more prepared than ever ! ⚡️ The truth is I don't like to predict things, because I'm scared to jinx myself putting them into words, idk if that makes sense. Oh there's one major project I need to talk about ! The MADAGASCAR 2023 trip with CP !!!!! This will be something.

There are events through this year I'd like to highlight. The stay at Montpellier. 1st medal post covid. 1st trip as an "adult". Still losing against the Empire ... Saint-Quentin, which became very personal. Oh, my 1st radio interview ! That was funny. We've also seen the 1st burnouts. A very lovely day at the museum. & a movie seen besides a castle, through a big big screen. I surely posted photos through the year. I'll check if I might not have forgotten some. My 1st female chir. Incredible. Who in a way could have been the best encounter of the year. But then came October 19th ... Well, this is the moment when it turns into a love story. If you read this long, congratulations you found the core of this whole text. Because these feelings are too strong. I need to write them out of me so I can go ahead. It would allow me to forget them so my head is free for more stuff coming. Because I'd know they're kept intact somewhere, here precisely. So October 19th the 1st messages led us to Halloween, October 31st. What an evening. Would it be too mellow to go through the whole thing ? I could. But I'd rather make it quick for this time. Maybe once this whole gigantic thing is written I'll write especially about this day. Because wow ... I'm not pretending to be a Casanova or something. But the fact is that I've seen a lot of dates. Some went terribly wrong. Funny memories to talk about tho. Others ... I'll forget them sooner or later. I remember them from time to time. Some went very well, with lovely people, doing lovely things. And others where you can feel the whole universe pushing yourselves together. The attraction was crazy, the whole atmosphere was ... Idk. It was cloudy and a bit oppressive but there was romance in the air. But a warm one. Things took an unexpected turn at ... "Hello" ahaha. I'm half kidding but I'm realising I might not remember her first words because I was too focused on her smile, the 1st thing I noticed. It reminded me suddenly of the quote "In order to seduce her, I should make her laugh. But everytime she laughed I'd fall back in love with her, again." And then I told myself "Well ... what a lovely smile and then I had the whole evening to stare at those beautiful brown eyes. Brown/green if you want to be precise. And then this whole body ... See, there's one thing I sure like in a woman. Simplicity. Like ... Women showing off their goods are in their total right, I respect and appreciate that. But when a woman is not showing off that much about what she has then you see it from your own eyes........ That feeling can hardly be equaled. And here was the case. She. Was. So. Damn. Fine. Slim waist, fat booty. But to be honest I was prepared if things went down, but she was so interesting that I felt it would still have been a great evening. We already talked a lot but getting to know her in real was awesome. I knew thanks to the vocals but her cute little lilting accent was lovely to hear in reality, not through a phone. We talked about a lot of things. In a lot of places. We talked in a tea saloon for ... 20mins and went out because they were too busy to serve us, so we just left. Funny we didn't even get angry. Nothing could have disturb us that night, it was like the city was ours. This is a feeling I love to get. It's when you're wandering through a city, with someone you love. Even everything around seems more beautiful. For our 1st meal we chose Pitaya. It was cool. We went back home and I'll just talk bout "perfect timing" and "thunderstorm". Indeed I wouldn't even have words to describe this. But maybe what happened between us might stay between us. Then we have November 13th. A lucky day, even if it was a Sunday. Wednesday, November 16th in the A. Then 24 hours together back in the T. on November 26th. My little fountain. (Sorry for showing off but ... come on I'm so proud!). The evening of Friday, December 9th. At yours. It was a funny afternoon. And a lovely night. I had to wake up early this time but the travel back to Toulouse was ... easy. It's easier when you're still feeling like you're floating because you just spent the night with someone you have a "heavy crush" on. But it was more than that, but I never asked myself deeply because we said we "didn't put words in it". Which is now a bit ironic seen how much words I'm using actually to relate those feelings. So guys, I listed the dates because I love dates but also to count. So it takes 5 dates to fall in love. So 4 is the limit, don't go beyond lol. Because after all that comes ... Thursday, December 22nd. I don't know if I have much to say about this. It's the breaking point. Oh, indeed I guess I have a few things to say about our last date. I don't think I'm wrong when I say love was in the air. But then came something else. A kind of bitterness. The same taste when you mix love and sorrow. To be honest, a lot of my previous relationships in which I was very involved didn't end well. Most of times with a very brutal break up. So putting a peaceful end to something that strong ... That clearly never happened to me. I must admit it caught me a bit off guard and I didn't know how to act. I remember waking up in the night, I was having trouble sleeping so I turned on Tekken 7. This is what I do when I want to take away my attention from my problems. Or turn my negatives feelings into something. I can't remember if I was winning or losing. But after playing a long time, I froze and realized "Dude there's the woman of your dreams in your bed and you're playing here, wtf are you doing ?????" and I went back to bed to hold her as tight as I can, "as long as I can". It's a very weird feeling to have someone in front of you, someone you have lots of affection for, but telling yourself your time is running out. It was hard to enjoy all of it but I did my best. Which was surely enough because I keep a great memory of this day. I'm very thankful for being able to live a peaceful end. But it's easier when the other person inspires you nothing but kindness. Decisions are way clearer. Even if the best decision is not always the easy one. [I'm scared of the distance it will create between us. I don't know how long, I don't know in which form but having a special place is not opposite of being distant. But I'm already missing her. If one day she misses me, I hope she knows well that feeling is mutual.] But I'm not done telling my year. Because the end of this love story is only one part of what made the end of the year tough. Because there also was a certain 1h ride back home that changed a lot of things. In fact, I like to see people with dedication, longevity. Being able to perform (at whatever level) for a long period of time forces admiration. Whether you like the guy or not, you can't deny he's here. But for the 1st time since 2005 I've lost Midi Pyrénées. What an awful day. Guess it was a day made for the bests to arrive 2nd lol. But I won't talk much about it, but I'm so curious if I'll be able to take revenge in 2023.

Pensées de fin (~random)_ In photography this year, I was inspired a lot by Better Call Saul. Then I ran through Yt to find guys putting in words why this is such a visual mastepiece. It was so interesting. I got a new cellphone (Google Pixel 6) so having a better camera makes me automatically curious of testing it in a lot of situations (Rest Easy Oneplus 5 tho). I still have my photography eye opened, trying to not miss a shot. I'm not sure if everything that needed to be posted was posted but nvmd. For Tekken, Which kind of progress did we see ? "The bad players beat who they can, the good ones beat who they want." A bit far from that. But I've a better understanding of the game. Lidia is insane to play, very very fun. For the stats, I'm really proud to say I hit Ryujin rank this year so it makes me officially "Ryujin Njaka" haha. I have a Victory/Defeats ratio of 11 930/23 349 which makes 51,09% wins. Talking about winning, I cockily thought I've finished the game of seduction. But realized that by the very end of the year. I mean, it's kind of stupid to think like that because no one is able to seduce 100% of the people one wants. But still, I found a lot of satisfaction seeing some people I found very attractive found me very also very attractive in return (coucou Alexia).

Series Better call saul > kim et jimmy, rapport a la photo, aux plans For example I'll develop later but Better Call Saul was incredible to follow this year. Made me think about a lot of things. Well "Gotham" Incredible to know better the roots of all the Batman story. Very very cool. Visually very .. bold. Stranger things Season 4 : Awesome !!! 1st stranger thing like an horror movie ... Insane. Avatar started again in April ... The Umbrella Acadmy was interesting. Tekken Bloodline on Netflix was great.

Films Doctor Strange 2 : Insane !!!!! I watched again Lilo & Stitch. One Piece Red, supposedly the last One Piece movie. It was cool, great setting for watching the movie.

Musique We heard a lot of "Toko toko" and "Last last" this year.

[Vendredi 30 Decembre - 11h06. Salut. Je ne sais pas où tu en es dans ta lecture mais on va reprendre de zero. Si tu as lu jusque là, félicitations déjà. Ce post doit être long long long. J'ai relu tous les posts de ce genre pour faire celui là, en lisant plus ou moins en diagonale. J'aime bien la dimension que ce post soit écrit à temps parce que ca fige l'instant et les sentiments. Enfin, pour cette fois je veux que ça le soit. C'est donc pour ca que ce post va être long, parce que je veux qu'il soit daté. Je veux voir si dans quelques années je serais gêné d'avoir écrit tout ça (auquel cas je supprimerai ce paragraphe) ou si ... Le timming s'avère être plus indulgent envers nous. Je parle de nous parce que tu as trouvé la lettre "cachée" dans ce post extra long. Je casse le 4e mur mais je pense que ça va être fait de manière très maladroite, encore une fois pour rendre ce post le plus long possible. Comme tu sais je raisonne toujours en terme de fond et de forme. Ici, rallonger le texte dans sa forme globale devrait décourager la plupart des gens à continuer à lire. Mais je me dis que si toi tu ecrivais un texte LONG ou tu racontes ta vie je serais content de le lire donc voici le mien. En vrai j'ai aucune idée de si je vais réussir à le faire plus long ... Bref je papillone ahah. Donc bienvenue à toi 0305 ! Normalement, tu n'as pas lu ton prénom et tu le liras pas. Mais on sait tous les deux que là, ce qui va suivre est pour toi ... Samedi 31 Decembre - 18h45. C'est marrant. Aujourd'hui tu m'as demandé de faire d'écrire comme si personne n'allait me lire. Mais c'est impossible. En vrai je suis trop content que tu me lises, donc comme je disais je pense que c'est normal de récompenser ses lecteurs, et dans mon cas ma lectrice. En fait, là je fais une pause dans l'écriture du résumé de cette année pour bien écrire cette lettre et être sur que j'ai un max d'attention disponible pour être sûr que tout ce que j'ai à te dire soit bien dit. Mais du coup, comme je n'ai pas encore écrit le résumé, je ne sais pas ce que j'ai pu bien dire sur toi donc s'il y a des redondances je te prie de m'excuser, j'essaie humblement de mettre en mots tout ce que je ressens et tout ce que cette année 2022 m'a inspiré. En fait, quand j'écris ce résumé, je me demande chaque année "de quoi je vais parler, qu'est ce que je vais mettre au centre de tout ça ?" et puis j'ai pensé à observer le lien entre le fond et la forme. "Est-ce que les résumés les plus longs relatent les années les plus heureuses ? ou les plus tristes?" De fil en aiguille je me suis fait une reflexion importante : je veux que ce résumé sorte à temps parce que dans ma vie tout va bien, rien ne m'empeche de fonctionner au point que ce résumé ne sorte pas à temps et aussi je veux qu'il soit long parce que je veux continuer à irradier le positif. Puis même en y réflechissant, ça doit pas être interessant un looooong paragraphe d'un mec qui fait que se plaindre. Donc je veux mettre en avant le positif de 2022 et une manière très simple de le faire c'est de te rendre honneur puisque tu es tout simplement ma meilleure rencontre de cette année 2022. Une vraie tornade, et également la rencontre que j'attendais pas non plus cette année. En fait, il faut savoir que j'aime ce genre de rencontres. Pardon, il faut que je perde l'habitude de parler au pluriel. Ca me permet de me distancier dans ma manière d'écrire, mais y'a pas de pluriel à avoir puisque je m'adresse a toi (toi, toi, toi ... c'est comme l'écho dans les chansons de Nek ahah). Donc pas de pluriel, parce que tout ça c'est entre toi et moi. J'ai aimé notre rencontre. Je le répète en boucle mais ... le tonnerre du premier soir ? Rien que ça, ça suffit à dire que c'était pas une rencontre comme les autres. C'était vraiment une soirée incroyable. Et j'essaie de mettre au maximum ce que je ressens pour toi à l'écrit pour beaucoup de raisons. La première c'est que pendant deux mois je ne l'ai pas fait, donc je veux être sur que les termes soient bien dits, et surtout pour qu'on garde une trace de tout ça, et que ça reste vif quand on le lit. Je pense que ça serait un récapitulatif réussi si quand je le relirais dans quelques années ça me rapelle les souvenirs avec toute la bonne nostalgie qui va avec. Parce que comme je te le disais au téléphone la dernière fois : tout va bien. C'est vrai qu'on a l'impression de jouer nos vies parce qu'on sent que quelque chose de puissant peut se passer, mais il faut dédramatiser, et arrêter d'être tristes comme si on allait sortir de la vie de l'autre, parce que c'est pas vrai. J'ai envie de continuer à faire partie de ta vie et c'est réciproque, on ne se déteste pas, même si je suis jaloux à en crever de S. .... non je plaisante ahah (meme si évidemment je suis un petit peu jaloux hein). Mais ici, pas de place à la jalousie. Même si mon but c'est d'être un maximum honnête, j'aimerais mettre l'accent sur les sentients qui comptent. (Je me rends compte que des sentiments tu m'en inspires deja 100.000 mais bon, Je vais essayer de commencer quelque part). Ce qui me plait dans le fait d'écrire sur mes sentiments pour toi, c'est que je peux pas m'empecher de me demander si je regretterai ces mots, si quand je les relirai dans 6 mois, 1 an, 10 ans ils auront beaucoup changé ou pas. En vrai notre relation peut encore évoluer beaucoup, donc peut etre que quand je parle "d'herbe coupée sous le pied" j'éxagère un peu, peut-être qu'il nous reste encore beaucoup d'options pour faire évoluer nos liens, en dépit du manque de chance évident. J'étais sur le point d'écrire les scenarios qui m'auraient le plus plu, mais j'aurais peur de me porter la poisse en les mettant en mots. Le temps passe et j'aimerais en arriver au coeur de la lettre. Toutes ces lignes étaient là pour cacher ça, le plus important et le plus intime. Ce que j'aimerais que tu retiennes de cette lettre, c'est que notre rencontre est exceptionnelle et j'ai un respect pour toi qui est immense. En tant que femme, en tant qu'amie, en tant qu'humaine .... Et dans ton rapport avec moi t'as toujours été bienveillante. Tu fais partie des personnes les plus vertueuses que j'ai pu rencontrer et c'est pour ça que je relativise notre "fin prématurée" parce que je suis très fier et heureux de pouvoir faire partie de ton entourage. J'aurais été encore plus heureux et fier de me tenir à tes côtés comme un amoureux mais ça c'est autre chose. Autre chose que j'aurais fait avec grande grande joie. L'une des choses qui m'a le plus touché c'est que tu me vois comme j'aimerais qu'on me voie. Et ça c'est indescriptible. Tu es d'une franchise sans épreuve aussi. C'est très agréable d'échanger avec toi parce que je sais que jamais tu maquilles ta manière de penser. T'es honnête, et aussi t'es simple. En parlant de maquiller ... je m'attarderai pas à détailler comme je te trouve incroyablissime physiquement de la tête aux pieds, sinon ce texte risque d'être vraiment long. Mais c'est exactement ce genre de détails qui font que t'as été un vrai ouragan dans ma vie. Un ouragan qui m'a fait me questionner mes priorités et mes principes. L'une des questions que je me suis posé pour comprendre pourquoi on en est là aujourd'hui c'est : "et si j'avais été prêt plus tot, il se serait passé quoi ?" et c'est une question interessante je trouve. C'est pas la réponse qui compte, mais c'est le fait de s'etre posé la question en soit. Parce que la prochaine fois que je serai face à quelqu'un qui me remuera jusqu'au fin fond de mon ame, je serai un petit peu plus préparé à cette éventualité et à tout ce qui peut en découler. Pour finir, c'est pour ça que je tenais à écrire ça en 2022. Pour que mes sentiments et mes espoirs en toi soient intacts quand je relirai ça. PS : Oh et je viens de penser. Je suis content de commencer 2023 avec toi et je serai content d'avoir plein de nouveaux souvenirs de nous à raconter dans mon prochain résumé, dans 12 mois. Bisous.

Bucky Barnes x Reader

Y/N is a disabled equestrian and therapeutic riding instructor who helps Tony Stark with his PTSD after returning from Titan. When the Avengers bring everyone back he hires her to work with Avengers and SHIELD hires her as therapist and teaching basic riding skills because you never know when a horse will be the best mode of transportation.

Bucky Barnes is a manwhore who is enjoying his freedom for the first time in decades and pays no mind to y/n when she meets the team because he learned to ride from Hydra and too is busy pursuing his next conquest.

Post Endgame but everybody survived, because I said so. And Steve helped get Sharon Carter pardoned so they are together.

Chapter 8

WARNINGS: angst, vague descriptions of pornographic pics, SWEARING always, I think thats all

Velvet took her new assistant, Bobby, for a tour around her stable and Morgans place, showing him everything he needed to know to help her care for the horses and riders. She also had MJ coming in on weekends to help with event coordination for Morgan's place. Tony hoped to host some small shows to give Morgan practice and prepare her for larger events. Everything was, fine, Velvet kept telling herself. It had been 3 weeks since Bucky had left and she had received one text from him letting her know he would be gone for awhile but that's all. Most of the team was on the same mission but Nat was recovering from an injury and Peter still had school so hadn't gone with them. He did come up on the weekends with MJ and helped Velvet with chores and lessons. Velvet tried not to think about Bucky and what he said before he left but failed miserably. His stormy blue eyes haunted her sleep and the memory of that kiss months ago kept replaying in her head.

After the 5th week Velvet received a strange package, in it were some pics from her rough times after her accident. She was in the middle of some crazy drugged sex act with more than one other person, a few guys and a girl all In various stages of undress. Lines with a pile of white powder, a bong with a pile of weed next to it and tequila shots on the table and everyone was licking, sucking, fingering and/or fucking. She closed her eyes, wondering where this came from as there was no return address and the postmark was Manhattan. She didn't see her ex Roger in the pic so he must have taken it. It was a graphic reminder of the lowest time of her life. But why would anyone do this, what's the point? All the important people at the top already knew the basics of her past but this was much more detailed than what she told them. She didn't think Tony or Fury would care, Steve might but hopefully he would understand. Of course if these were leaked to the public it might become difficult for them to defend keeping her on considering the classified nature of most of their work and the inherent risk of an addict spilling something they shouldn't. It could even affect Serenity as many parents wouldn't want their kids around a drug addicted whore.

Bucky didn't know, they talked about a lot and he knew she had an addiction problem in the past and had done some awful things to feed that addiction but she didn't get into the gory details, hoping to keep it in the past. He was willing to accept what he knew about her but what if this was too much? That thought made her realize that she wanted him, wanted to give him, give them a chance. But what if this ruined it? The stress was spiking her pain and making her stomach sick, she worked so hard to move on from those mistakes but apparently someone didn't want that. It had to be Roger but did that mean he was in NYC?

Velvet sat in her office and sighed, dialing Nick Fury's line to see if he was available today. Unfortunately he was also out of town and Maria had meetings all day so she made an appt for tomorrow, hid the package away and tried to find something, anything else to think of.

In Argentina the team was looking into some suspected Hydra/Nazi collaborators but having a hard time gathering intel on their movements or plans. Bucky was antsy, wishing he could at least text or call Velvet but Steve wouldn't hear of it. Too much risk of being traced. Bucky could barely sleep and when he did he never knew if he would have a good and sexy dream about Velvet or one where the Winter Soldier hurts her or Bucky can't stop one of his enemies from hurting her. Either way he woke up drenched and unable to focus for awhile.

"Wanna talk about it, Buck?" Steve finally asked.

"Dunno what to say, nothing I can do but wait it out till we can go home and hope she hasn't given up on me because of our stressful lifestyle. Talking won't change anything." Bucky responded.

"Maybe a little time away is good for both of you. You were together every day for over a month and that can get intense so some time to think about what you both feel and want might bring clarity to you both." Steve advised.

"Steve, I haven't felt this clear about anything since I fell from the train. Never been hit so hard by a woman"

Steve laughed, "I told you she was something. Sounds like you got bit good."

Bucky smiled for the first time in days "That's for sure"

Steve grinned for a moment then spoke up in a sober tone "theres something about her you should know, Buck. Her accident was that day in DC when you and I fought. She was in a tour van on that bridge. I don't think you were directly responsible but there was a big mess on the road that day and she was part of it."

Bucky coughed "WAIT, WHAT? Does she know its my fault? She can't or she wouldn't even talk to me if she did. I ruined her life. God dammit!! How do I face her now?"

"Nat is supposed to tell her but I don't know if she did or how it went" Steve sighed.

The next morning, Velvet headed over to the compound to talk to Maria about the pics. When she arrived at her office, Maria waved her. "Whats going on Y/N, the look on your face says it's pretty serious."

Velvet nodded "is it alright if I close the door, this is very personal."

"Of course, close the door and have a seat." Once Velvet was settled Maria asked softly "what happened? You look pretty spooked."

Velvet took a deep breath to calm herself "Well, you know how I told you about after my accident, how I got addicted to pain meds and did some awful things to get them? Well, someone sent me pics of one of those horrible things. No return address and postmarked in Manhattan. My ex, Roger, is still in California as far as I know. I spoke to his mom after the snap and he was dusted. I didn't even think about him coming back. Or that he could find me." Velvet teared up "I thought I had put all that behind me. He always promised he would get me back if I left but I thought I was safe here. This could ruin everything"

Maria walked around her desk to hug Velvet and rub her back "it's ok, we'll find out whose doing this and bury the whole thing. I'm going to need the envelope and the pictures so we can get started"

Velvet looked at her, wide eyed "We? Please promise that you will lead on this, I don't need everyone here to see them."

Bucky and Velvet were both stressing out to the point of illness over the recent developments. Bucky was drowning in guilt for breaking her and afraid she wouldn't want anything to do with him. Velvet was scared Bucky would find out about the pictures and not want anything to do with her anymore.

A few days later Nat came to the stable, hoping to take Velvet on a ride and break the news about her accident. Once they had Lexi and Romeo ready to go they walked out the gate and into the woods that Velvet had been exploring for this very purpose.

"So, what's up Velvet? I can tell you have something on your mind." Nat grinned.

Velvet sighed "Just a part of my past that I would like to forget rearing its ugly head. Someone sent me some explicit pics of me in compromising positions during my fall after the accident. Maria is looking into it but I'm scared that my ex will come back and fuck up everything I've worked for here."

Nat looks her in the eye "I won't let that happen, we need you here. This is your home and I'll fuck up anyone who wants to hurt you."

Velvet changes the subject "What's on your mind, Nat? You usually have shit to work thru when you schedule a ride. So what's up?"

Nat looks away "It's actually about you, your accident. Barnes was there in Winter Soldier mode, fighting Steve and me. He was the reason for the pile up that you were part of, that changed your life."

Velvet looks at Nat and snorts "I know." Nat pales "You think I didn't know that? I did have access to the internet even if my memory sucked. I knew before I met Tony. It wasn't Bucky, not really. And I think he's been pretty effectively rehabilitated. It really sucked and I was a mess for awhile but I'm a better person now and have a more fulfilling life than I did clawing my way to the Olympics. On another subject, have you heard from Steve or anyone? Its been ages and all I've heard is one text from Bucky the day they left."

Nat grins "is something up between the two of you."

"I don't know. The day before they left he told me he was falling in love with me and I told him why it was a bad idea and he almost convinced me. I told him about some of my experiences and why I'm hesitant. Asked him to give me the night to sleep on it. Then he left."

Nats grin grew "I knew there was something there. Last I heard a couple of days ago, everyone was fine but restless. Hoping to finish up in time for Tony's 4th of July birthday party for Steve."

"July? That's almost another month. Maybe this is the universe showing me why dating Bucky is a bad idea. This wait is torture." Velvet whined.

"It sucks to be sure but the right person is worth all that so don't throw the idea away over that." Nat counseled.

Velvet noticed the sun was starting to go down and figured they better get back and take care of the horses. Nat helped with chores and they decided to order pizza, drink some wine, nosh on some edibles and watch one of Velvet's favorite movies, Paul. Nat didn't get all the jokes because she wasn't a nerd like Velvet but she caught enough to still enjoy the movie. The edibles helped. Velvet rarely got stoned on her meds but once in awhile she needed to let everything go and this was one of those times. Between the pics and missing Bucky she was a mess.

June 28th, Velvet and Nat were shopping for dresses for the July 4th party. Trying to keep with the theme, Nat found a red halter dress that was perfect, showing off her curves beautifully. Velvet found a long, blue, cotton, off the shoulder dress with a slit up the side and pockets. Casual and comfortable.

"It looks great on you, Bucky will love it." Nat teased.

Velvet frowns "If they get back in time. I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. Have you found anything about the pics?"

Nat sighed "Not really. I did try to find your ex and couldn't but he's not in Southern California. I have Friday searching with facial recognition so will hopefully know something soon. Don't worry, we won't let him hurt you."

"I know you mean that Nat and he's just a guy against the Avengers but he's very smart and will latch onto any opportunity to get paid. Things have been going so well here and I'm scared he will destroy it all. What will Bucky think about being with a woman who did the things I did?"

Nat gave Velvet a hug "Barnes shouldn't have anything to say about a checkered past considering his."

The team returned on July 1st, tired and happy to be home but no major injuries. Velvet received an email from Maria letting her know they were back and asking her to come to the compound to discuss her other matter.

Velvet went after lunch and spoke to Maria "Please tell me you have some good news, like you found Roger and made him disappear or something."

Maria smiled but it didn't reach her eyes "I wish that were the case. We did find him on a surveillance video from the subway in Manhattan but haven't been able to find him physically yet. We did some searching online and he seems to be in contact with someone here but we haven't been able to narrow it down."

Velvet sighed "If someone here has it in for me it's that bitch Janell. She told Bucky she would make him pay for dumping her and might think hurting me would hurt him since she accused him of having a thing for me."

Maria gasped "Thats right, I had forgotten. I'll have a talk with her." Typing into her computer, Maria frowns "She's on leave till the 6th. I'll bring her in as soon as shes back. FRIDAY, can you notify me when Janell Marshall returns to the compound" "Of course Agent Hill".

Someone knocks on Maria's office door and Velvet moves to leave "Thanks Maria, see you on the 4th"

'I'll be there"

Velvet opens the door to come face to face with Steve and Bucky, and gasps "Welcome home guys, glad no one was badly hurt. See you on the 4th"

They both mutter out a hello and Bucky flushes and looks at the ground. Velvet shakes her head and leaves before she says or does something stupid.

Obviously Bucky has some issue, Velvet hopes he didn't get copies of the pictures but his reaction to seeing her convinces her that he must have. She makes it to her car before any tears fall. All the work she did to get clean, get away from Roger and his influence but it just followed her across the country.

Bucky and Steve go into Maria's office to give their reports from the mission.

Bucky asks "Is everything ok with Velvet? Did something happen?"

Maria looks at him "Nothing serious, we were discussing some regular upgrades to her security system."

Bucky nods and let's Steve do most of the talking for the rest of the meeting. When Bucky goes back to his quarters he sees a stack of mail and just tosses it on his desk to deal with later. He still doesn't know how to face Velvet knowing that he was responsible for her disability and has nightmares of the Winter Soldier hurting her. He woke up screaming.

July 4th. After morning chores Velvet takes Lexi for a ride to help her relax and think. She hasn't heard anything from Bucky since he returned. She sent a text asking if he would be coming back to the stable and received an I'm busy but when things calm down reply. She sighed and figured she'd have to wait till the party if he even went.

After her ride she drove to the compound to get ready with Wanda and Nat. They all chatted and helped each other get ready, not needing to get too fancy for a BBQ party.

Wanda doesn't mean to see anything while she's putting Velvet's hair up in a messy bun but the feelings are too intense and she gasps at what she sees.

"Whats wrong, Wanda?" Velvet asks concerned.

Wanda shakes her head "I'm so sorry. I wasn't trying to see anything but your feelings are so strong. Are you ok Velvet?"

Velvet's eyes go wide "Wanda, what did you see?"

"I'm so sorry Velvet, I didn't mean to. I saw pictures of you. Someone's trying to blackmail or threaten you over them."

Velvet closed her eyes and sighed "It's ok just please don't say anything to anyone. Only Nat and Maria know. I think it's my ex and Maria told me FRIDAY found him on a subway surveillance camera in the city but they still haven't found him."

"Don't worry Velvet we won't let him hurt you." Wanda promised.

Velvet wasn't reassured but kept it to herself, she just hoped Bucky would feel the same way instead of rejecting her for being an addict and whore, like in her nightmares the last few weeks.

2012 Brazilian GP

Disclaimer for this season. It turns out that I only have the footage of the race for a lot of the GPs (no build-up, no post-race content) so there will be way less GIFs unfortunately. I will let you know for each of these reviews if there are GIFs or not. THIS ONE HAS GIFS.

Annnd here we go! It's the last race of 2012. The title decider.

The weather isn't good! It's drizzling and I think there's lightning in the sky? Seb is 4th on the grid. Alonso is 7th. Schumacher is 13th, remember it's his last race.

Lewis' helmet says "thank you McLaren", he's on pole!

Massa is 5th. The wet tyres are being rushed to the grid... It's actually a McLaren front row! What a way to end the year. Then it's both RedBulls, Massa, Hulkenberg, Alonso 7th as we said and Raikkonen. Rosberg and Di Resta complete the top 10.

In the end everybody is on dry tyres anyway. The top 10 are on mediums.

Alonso needs to be in the top 3 to even stand a chance to win the WDC.

Oh my god! Stellar start from Massa! Lewis gets a good start but Massa overtook both RedBulls AND Jenson into the first corner! Raikkonen then goes wide and there must have been contact somewhere because someone's just losing pieces of their car? OH IT'S SEB IT'S SEB OH FUCK! HE'S IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRACK FACING THE WRONG WAY WITH CARS GOING BY ON EACH SIDE OF HIM HOLY FUCK

He still managed to turn around and go again but he's way behind now and with damage! He's calm over the radio but he must be gutted... Jenson is back in P2 and Webber is side by side with Massa fighting over P3 and Alonso joins them it's a three-way fight and they both get ahead as does Hulkenberg what happened to Massa he was doing so well! Seb's engineer tells him there's damage but it's nothing they can fix anyway so he needs to stay out?! As things stand Alonso would win the WDC by 2 points! Hulkenberg overtakes Webber with disconcerting ease!!! Lewis in the front set a fastest lap but Jenson is only 1s. behind him. Seb is told the data looks ok. AND HE SETS A FASTEST LAP FROM THE BACK! HE'S ALREADY CAUGHT UP TO THE PACK AND HE'S OVERTAKING CHARLES PIC FOR P19, LET'S GO SEB!

Let's see the replay from the start. Oh here we go. So Raikkonen locks up and goes wide. By doing so he almost collided with Seb in front of him but did not touch him. Seb then turns into Senna, they make contact, and he spins. I honestly kinda think it was his own fault or a racing incident. Then Senna is caught in between him and a Sauber and they make contact a second time. In the end, for one reason or another, Perez, Senna and Maldonado are out.

Now there's yellow flags in lap 4 and the DRS has been disabled. Oh wait wtf! Alonso just missed a corner, he went straight into the run off area and he rejoins the track BEHIND Hulkenberg, now on the podium! Webber is in between Massa and Alonso, Alonso barely managed to stay ahead. Ted tells us it's started to rain hard and that's why Alonso is struggling with grip. Alonso, Webber, Massa and Di Resta are all covering one second on the track... Hopefully no crash? And DRS is enabled again. Massa overtakes Webber. Kobayashi overtook Di Resta ! Some cars are already changing to inters... JENSON OVERTOOK LEWIS WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN?! AND GROSJEAN CRASHED! LEWIS GETS HIS POSITION BACK. WEBBER SPUN.

Holy baby jesus we're not even 10 laps in what is going ON.

Meanwhile Seb is up in FUCKING EIGHTH PLACE already! Di Resta went wide, these cars are sliding around it's worrying. Yep Lewis has no grip and Jenson overtakes him AGAIN! Seb in P7, ooooh wow he's also swerving around, the inters might be a good idea after all... Kobayashi does pit for a broken front wing so Seb in P6. The weather forecast says it's gonna stop raining though... The inters are slow af... Webber gets them though.

Alright. We're 10 laps in. Let's take a second to assess the situation now.

Jenson is leading 2.7 seconds ahead of Lewis already. Hulkenberg is 1.2 seconds behind. Then Alonso already 8.4 seconds adrift, protected from Seb by Massa 5 seconds down. Just behind Seb is Di Resta and then JEV. Kovalainen and Glock complete the top 10 at the moment.

Schumacher, who's been on inters for a couple of laps now is unlapping himself from the McLarens, that tells you the kind of struggle they're in. The Ferrari mechanics are in the pitlane, as are the McLaren ones and it's Lewis pitting! Ohhh it's a bad one... And here comes Seb as well. All on inters. And just after I tried to clarify the situation for you lol now where are they? Seb is 18th behind Webber. And oh fuck, Jenson still in the lead says "it stopped raining, it stopped raining".

Alright let's take another look at the situation after the stops then : Jenson still in the lead, Hulkenberg 2.5 behind, Massa is 17 seconds down, with Lewis jumping at him. JEV is 4.7 behind Lewis. Alonso is in 12th, Webber and Seb, who both have damage, are down in 16th and 17th respectively, but they both overtake Raikkonen. And Webber let's Seb past... Lewis overtook Massa for third place. As the stops keep rolling, Seb finds himself up in 12th, Webber in 13th. He then overtakes Rosberg for P11. Meanwhile Alonso overtakes Massa for 4th place.

Oh, ho, Ted confirms that it is in fact still raining, whatever Jenson says. And just at this moment Lewis radios that the tyres are going off.

Massa is basically letting people go by him he's struggling so much. So it's Kobayashi up in 5th and Seb up in 6th. Hulkenberg is less than a second behind Jenson!!! Seb overtakes Kobayashi, so that's P5. Oh... Oh... He overtook JEV under yellow flags? Hulkenberg is attacking Jenson! But it seems the track is favoring the dry tyres again... We can see a dry line appearing.

Lewis' engineer says they expect this level of rain for the next 30 minutes and he needs to make his tyres last but Lewis says "they're already nearly finished".

And Hulkenberg takes the lead!

McLaren in the pits, it's Lewis again! At least it goes well, 3.4, and Alonso pits right behind him, 4.3. They're back on dry tyres. Lewis is out in P4 and Alonso in P8. Of course, Seb is called in right away, so Lewis will be back in P3.

Lewis is on hards, Alonso is on mediums, Seb is on hards as well. It's a double pit for the RedBulls. They're both behind Alonso.

Now listen. Lewis is ahead of them all, but ahead of them all is still FORTY-FIVE SECONDS behind Hulkenberg and Jenson. It's time to grind.

Ted says more bits of Seb's car are missing since he last saw it. But as things stand, he'd win the title 11 points ahead of Alonso.

Rosberg has a puncture! Alonso complains of the debris on the track. He'd like a safety car for sure. And he gets it. We're on lap 23. Both Jenson and Hulkenberg pit, the latter still in the lead. A few laps later, the many lapped cars are unlapping themselves.

HAHAHAHA hilarious, Alonso says something in Italian to his team but skysports has invested in a translator and the message appears at the bottom of the screen immediately : starting to rain again in Turn 4. Checkmate Ferrari.

Safety car in this lap! We're not even halfway through and more has happened than in most of the other races of the season combined.

Lap 30... Here we go!

Immediately, Webber, Seb and Kobayashi are wheel to wheel in the pit straight. Webber goes wide, Kobayashi is ahead! He's already putting Alonso under pressure. Lewis is looking at Jenson. DRS is enabled. Lewis attacks Jenson! He's ahead! Let's go! So much is happening I can't keep track! Oyoyoy Alonso is now catching up on Jenson BUT HE'S OVERTAKEN BY KOBAYASHI INSTEAD BUT A FEW CORNERS LATER ALONSO GETS BACK AT HIM. Now it's Kobayashi struggling with grip while Seb is just behind! Alonso, Kobayashi and Seb are within 0.4 seconds of each other!

Lewis sets the fastest lap.

Oh I totally forgot Hulkenberg was still leading.

No more rain is announced. We're finally breathing a little, but there's still 30 laps to go.

Lewis is closing on Hulkenberg! AND IT'S ACTUALLY STARTING TO RAIN AGAIN?! Seb is also closing on Kobayashi. Lewis is 1.3 behind. Petrov just spun, it's definitely slippery again. Oh ho! Lewis is back in the lead? Yep Hulkenberg lost it in the exact same way Petrov did and Lewis slipped past him!

20 laps to go. Seb's radio doesn't work anymore, we can’t hear him. Lewis is already 2 seconds ahead of Hulkenberg. Some drivers down the pack pit for dry tyres. Seb pits for the mediums! He's down in P10. Raikkonen went wide, took what he thought was an escape route but found himself facing a fence and had to finally turn back around and get back to the track the same way he came. Now Lewis is caught in the traffic and Hulkenberg is less than a second behind him again. NO THEY MADE CONTACT!

NOOO IT'S A DNF AGAIN FOR FUCKS SAKE.

Alright I was so pissed I took a 30-minute break now let's end this.

First of all we get the replay. And it was pure bad luck. Hulkenberg gets ahead of Lewis and slips on the wet part of the track and hits him.

Now Alonso is up on the podium and Seb gets a terrible pitstop, 11.4 seconds, which puts him out of the top 10 but on inters. As it stands, he's losing the title, however Alonso has terrible grip on his dry tyres and there's 15 laps to go.

Kobayashi goes wide and Seb is already up in P9, he's winning the WDC again and Alonso pits for inters. He's in P4. Hulkenberg gets a penalty for that collision which imo is severe because he fucking spun. Jenson pits from the lead, inters.

So we have Jenson 11 seconds ahead of Massa 5 seconds ahead of Alonso. As Hulkenberg serves his drive-through penalty, Webber moves to P4. Seb is in P7. 12 laps to go. It's actually raining harder and harder.

Lewis finds his way back to the garage. He's applauded by his whole team.

Alonso moves in P2 as Massa doesn't defend against him. Now the gap in the WDC is only 1 point. It's raining hard. Seb's engineer tells him to just keep it on the track. "The current position is good enough". He still moves to P6. 5 laps to go. 4 laps to go. The visibility is getting terrible. 3 laps to go. Kobayashi spun and almost collided with someone getting back on the track. 2 laps to go. Di Resta has crashed! It's a Safety Car! That's it.

It's the end of the race!

Jenson wins the race, and Seb wins the WDC. His radio still doesn't work so who knows what his reaction was. It's also a nice podium for Massa in his homerace.

For Lewis, it's the end of an overall very frustrating season, but more on that in the 2012 review.

Probably my biggest exposure to tumblr-adjacent culture was Steven Universe - mainly due to the fact that I followed the series as new episodes came out, as well as doing extensive research on the subject. Still, I had little cognizance of the majority of the fandoms that were popular during 2014-2015 - which is why I compiled a list of relevant ones during the time period:

Jul 3rd - Taylor's 4th of July festivities kick off at her Rhode Island house. Guests include Tom Hiddleston, Abigail Anderson, Matt Lucier, Claire Winter, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Karlie Kloss, Josh Kushner, Austin Swift, Ruby Rose, Harley Gusman, Halston Sage, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevingne, Britany Maack, Ben LaManna, Martha Hunt, Jason McDonald, Uzo Aduba, Chioma Aduba, Jordan Masterson, Kesha, St Vincent, Ed Sheeran, Cherry Seaborn, Rachel Platten, Kennedy Rayé and the Haim sisters. This is the day Tom wears the infamous 'I <3 TS' tank top while they're all at the beach. (x)

Jul 4th - The online mockery for the 'I <3 TS' shirt is quick to pour in. Daily Mail commenters are yet to shut up about it in 2021.

The party continues with a giant inflatable waterslide, body painting, karaoke, charades and fireworks. (x) And also Kesha and Haim getting tricked by Cara, Uzo and Ruby into thinking they heard scary noises in the night, and trying to call the police but not knowing their own location. (x) (x)

Jul 5th - The day after the party, when all the guests post their photos online.

Britany posts a photo of her & Ben, Blake & Ryan, and Taylor & Tom. (x) The internet has a field day with Ryan's unimpressed facial expression. (x) (Ryan later says that it's just his resting bitch face as he wasn't aware a photo was being taken. (x))

Taylor posts several photos to Instagram of her celebrating the 4th July with friends, but doesn't post any pictures with Tom. (x)

Claire Winter posts a bunch of Polaroids, including one of Taylor and Tom kissing. (x)

Abigail posts a photo to Instagram showing the banners Taylor put up to celebrate her engagement to Matt and the anniversaries of Cara & St Vincent (real name Annie Clark) and Ed & Cherry. (x)

Jul 6th - Taylor and Tom fly out of Rhode Island (x) and arrive at LAX that evening. (x) They then get on a plane to Australia.

Joe attends the Warner Music Group summer party in London. (x)

Rumours are swirling that Tom is no longer in consideration to be the next Bond, due to his relationship with Taylor. (x) (x) (x) (x) (x)

Jul 8th - Taylor and Tom are flying on a commercial Quantas flight so someone is able to take a pic of them on the plane. (x)

According to another passenger on the plane, Taylor plays Scrabble during the flight (presumably on her phone because nobody takes big physical board games on commercial flights and the creepshot of Hiddleswift on the plane suggests she wouldn't have had anywhere to put the board anyway). In hindsight, knowing how Taylor and Joe play lots of Scrabble together including online Scrabble aka Words With Friends, and how they stayed in touch largely via texting that summer, it’s very possible she was playing against Joe.

Taylor and Tom arrive in Sydney, where Tom is about to start filming for Thor: Ragnarok. (x) Aussie media, including daytime TV, goes nuts over Hiddleswift's arrival in the country. (x)

Flying from LA to Australia involves crossing the international dateline, so they would have left the US on the 6th July local time and arrived in Sydney approx 15 hours later on the 8th July local time.

Calvin's new song Olé, written for John Newman, is released. There is speculation that it's a Hiddleswift song, written from Tom's perspective and containing lyrics implying that Taylor cheated on Calvin with Tom. However, sources also told multiple outlets that the song was written and recorded months earlier, and its supposed links to Hiddleswift were just for publicity. (x) (x)

Jul 9th - Tom goes out for a run (x) and avoids answering questions about Taylor. (x)

Jul 10th - Taylor and Tom go out for dinner to Gemelli Italian restaurant in Broadbeach on Australia's Gold Coast. (x)

Jul 11th - Taylor is named as the highest earning celebrity on the 2016 Forbes Celebrity 100 list, with earnings of $170m mostly due to the 1989 World Tour. If she and Calvin had not split up, they would have been the top-earning celebrity couple. (x)

Jul 12th - Taylor visits Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in South Brisbane. (x)

Jul 13th - Us Weekly makes a wild claim that Tom is planning to propose soon, and Taylor is going to say yes. The magazine cover also claims they're already talking about babies. (x)

TMZ claims that Taylor wrote TIWYCF, and that Calvin disrespecting Taylor following its release was the reason for their breakup. (x)

Taylor Swift really is the creative brains behind Calvin Harris' monster hit "This is What You Came For," and their relationship fell apart because he disrespected her when the song was released ... this according to sources connected with Taylor.

It's a fascinating story. We've learned an early fan rumor about the song is true, but to a deeper extent than anyone suspected. During their relationship, Taylor wrote the song, sat down at a piano and did a demo into her iPhone. She sent it to Calvin, who loved it. They both went into a studio and did a full demo with Taylor on vocals and Calvin doing the beat.

They both knew the song would be a hit, but Taylor wrote it for Calvin and both agreed it was a bad idea to let the world know they collaborated as a couple ... it would overshadow the song.

So Taylor, who kept the publishing rights, used the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg on the credits.

The problem in the relationship came the day the song was released. Calvin appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show and Ryan asked, "Will you do a collaboration with your girlfriend?" Calvin responded, "You know we haven't even spoken about it. I can't see it happening though."

We're told Taylor was hurt and felt Calvin took it too far.

It was a quick downward spiral from that point. One source called it "the breaking point in the relationship." The Met Gala was several days later, when Taylor danced with Tom Hiddleston.

Tree confirms to People magazine that Taylor did write TIWYCF under the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg. (x)

Calvin also confirms that Taylor wrote TIWYCF and goes on a Twitter rant:

Tom mentions Taylor in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter: (x)

You're in the middle of a cultural frenzy right now because you're dating Taylor Swift. How would you respond to people who claim that you're involved in some sort of publicity stunt?

(Laughs.) Well, um. How best to put this? That notion is — look, the truth is that Taylor Swift and I are together, and we're very happy. Thanks for asking. That's the truth. It's not a publicity stunt.

Martha says at a Pepsi/World Emoji Day event that Taylor and Tom are 'both happy and free together. It's amazing, I'm all about people being happy in love.' (x)

Kim talks about Taylor and the Famous controversy in a clip from an upcoming episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. (x)

“I never talk shit about anyone publicly, especially in interviews. But I was just like I had so had it,” Kim says in the clip to her sister Kourtney. “I wanted to defend him in it. She legitimately quote says, ‘As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet I’m gonna tell all the press. Like I was in on it.’”

“And then she just didn’t like the reaction?” Kourtney says in response.

“Yeah, and you know just another way to play the victim,” Kim replies. She then brings the infamous VMAs moment from 2009 by saying, “It definitely got her a lot of attention the first time… I just don’t think he should be punished for it still to this day.”

Jul 17th - Kim posts an edited recording of Kanye and Taylor's phone call. In it, they discuss the 'I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex' line and Taylor says, 'Go with whatever line you think is better. It’s obviously very tongue in cheek either way. And I really appreciate you telling me about it. That’s really nice.' However, nowhere in the Snapchat video does Kanye consult her about the line, 'I made that bitch famous,' which is the line Taylor insisted she had never approved. (x) The other Kardashian sisters retweet and support Kim. (x)

(The full recording of the call, leaked in 2020, confirms that Kanye never told Taylor he was going to call her a bitch. It also shows her reminding him that she sold 7 million albums before he had even heard of her, in response to him suggesting the lyric, 'I made her famous.')

Jul 18th - #KimExposedTaylorParty spends the day trending at number one worldwide on Twitter. (x) To the point where 0.8% of all tweets posted in the entire week from the 18th-24th use the hashtag. (x) (Assuming that 1/7th of the week's total tweets were posted on each day, that means more than 1 in every 20 tweets on the 18th used the hashtag.) #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty also returns.

TMZ claims to have a copy of a letter from Taylor's lawyer, dating back to February, demanding that Kanye destroy the recording of their phone conversation and reminding him that it is a felony to secretly record a phone conversation in California. (x)

Taylor changes the name on her writing credits for TIWYCF on the BMI songwriters database. She is now listed as Taylor Swift instead of Nils Sjöberg. (x)

Camilla Belle, the subject of Taylor's 2010 song Better Than Revenge, posts a quote to Instagram which reads, 'No need for revenge. Just sit back & wait. Those who hurt you will eventually screw up themselves & if you’re lucky, God will let you watch.' (x)

Abigail tweets against Kim and Kanye, saying, 'May God forgive you & your wife for doing to others the very things you pray are NEVER done to your daughter.' She deletes the tweets after receiving death threats but leaves a tweet which reads, 'Guys…I will always stand by my best friend. There's no point in fighting over that.' (x)

Joseph Kahn (director of many of Taylor's music videos) defends Taylor on Twitter. (x)

The aunt of Dinah Jane from Fifth Harmony tweets, 'I always knew @/taylorswift13 was a SNAKE! Trying 2 break up my girls & use @/camilacabello97 as her protégé bitch bye you’ve been exposed!’ (x) The tweet is soon deleted and she claims her account was hacked. Jul 22nd - Fergie, who had Kim appear in her M.I.L.F. $ music video, says she thinks the Kimye-Taylor feud was planned and 'they’ll probably all come together at the MTV Awards or something.' (x)

Taylor goes to the gym in LA. It is the first time she has appeared in public since Kim posted the edited video, and her phone screen is now shattered. (x)

She also returns to Instagram to wish Selena a happy birthday. (x)

Jul 23rd - Taylor goes to the gym in LA. (x)

Calvin lip-syncs to Kanye's song That Part in a video posted on his Snapchat. (x) He also attends J-Lo's birthday party and is photographed with Kim. Apparently they have a friendly chat. (x) A source claims to E!, 'When Kim walked in Calvin saw her and stood up. He was clearly excited to see her and said 'hi' to Kim backstage.' (x)

Jul 24th - Taylor blocks the snake emoji from her Instagram comments section using a new Instagram feature. (x)

Tom is seen at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills with members of Taylor's security team. (x)

Jul 26th - Tom flies back to LA from NYC, where he has just spent a couple of days. On the same day, Taylor's plane arrives back in LA from Nashville, where she has spent a couple of days. (x)

VMA nominations are announced. Taylor is not nominated in any category, despite Out Of The Woods and Wildest Dreams being eligible, leading some people to think she has been snubbed. Gossip Cop, an outlet widely used by celebrity publicists to quietly squash rumours, says that Taylor did not submit any videos for consideration this year. (x)

Jul 27th - Taylor goes to the gym in LA. (x)

John Newman, singer of Calvin's song Olé, jokes, 'Supposedly we had a holiday where he was movin’ on from his ex-missus,' referring to the trip to Mexico to film the music video, which involved girls and a yacht. He also says he doesn't think it's his place to say what inspired Calvin to write the song. (x)

a/n: this is more of a jisung as your bf in general, not so much the idol aspect sorry. Also yes, i ended up writing about jisung having a baby, sue me, I’m in jisung hours now! also do i even need to say it’s not proofread at this point?

you were in the same dance class when you were younger

so you were friends way before either of your debuts

like when you knew each other when he was an smrookie

and of course, both of you being talented dancers

you were both training under companies at a rather young age

and it isn’t easy being a trainee regardless of your age

but because you were both still in school

and so young

you knew you should stick together

let’s say you had chemistry homework

but you also had vocal lessons

i’m not saying he would help you

because he wouldn’t

but he would be there to motivate you

and study his own school work

so you weren’t alone

it’s safe to say you were each other’s motivation when it came to school

he would also insist on his mom picking you up from school and driving you to the company when your mom couldn’t

same would go reversed

not that either of your moms minded

they found it adorable

and they shipped you both anyway so

that means him and his family coming over for dinner

so after that, he goes to taeyong and jaehyun

and jaehyun would regrets only asking for a free boba when he won

but he’s way too happy about winning to care

it ends with half of 127 and half of dreamies giving advice,

and wayv cooing on the phone as they were in china at the time

it takes him like 5 months till he confesses

he’s a nervous baby let him be

and when he does get the courage,

he takes you to an amusement park

you don’t go on any of the rides

because he’s scared

but you do play the games and eat food

you even watch the fireworks

which is when he finally holds your hand for the first time

you did a lot of skinship before

it was cute

your palms were both sweaty from nervousness

but neither of you cared

you were just happy to enjoy the moment

he even walked you to your dorm

and he ended up almost tripping on his way to the elevator

but can you blame them

also you end up not telling your parents right away

and they keep match making

so you end up being like

“Mom, we’re already dating, you can stop”

cue both of your moms get excited

like they’re already talking about being the best grandmas

and having the cutest grandchildren

even tho you’ve only been together for 2 months

something tells me he’d be the type to want to have matching everything

then profile pictures

jewelry

clothing

anything and everything

he’d find it so cute

speaking of matching profile pics

.....i might have gone way more invested than i thought i was going to. Do i regret it tho? hell no. Am i emotional now because I pictured adult Jisung with a baby? hell yes.
