#rug hooking #wip #purely personals #fabrication #older sis is getting a swan and bb sis is getting an otter #went out today and donated a bunch of yarn at an art supply swap thing #was nice that they had small amounts of yarn/not full skeins that other people donated #because I don't really need a whole ass skein especially if it's solid color #I just want bits and pieces so I can do stuff like the swan background #like this a lot more than latchhook; like latchhook would be pixel art and rug hooking is more like drawing/more freeform #oH it's also nice that all that yarn I prechopped for latchhook I can still use for rug hooking haha #also went to a fabric store and it was crammed full of stuff and the yarn selection was actually really nice #will def go back

playing around with the romance scene mod and shri'iia's braid laying on her hip ............omfg............ok rapunzel...............!!!!!!!

#now i want to draw this................i dont think ive properly drawn long braid/pre oathbreaking/lolth stan shri'iia .......#ive sketched her but never finished anything as per my usual #ive hc that she likes clutching on her braid or its just wrapped around her sometimes #also her braid has a bunch of smaller braid weaving into it. like it's supposed to look like a spider's web but i think as time goes on #it gets progressively plainer bc she doesnt have enough time to sit down and braid the whole thing loool #then it gets chopped off anyway. but post alien abduction her braid was pretty elaborate #and the Paladin Outfit looking shiny and new... like its so very clear she got it recently #but anyway tiefling party i think she'll have her hair down. or maybe not bc i like the idea that astarion just untangles it. or he pulls #the tie off and her hair just gradually unravels while theyre rolling around on the grass like a couple of rats #but morning after her hair is loose and it's actually so very long and wavy..! and it's pooled around her/covering her bits while he's ther #sunbathing bc idk why he couldnt be bothered to give her a blanket lmfao. and i think after that scene i like the idea that she goes off to #wash up but actually she's just standing in the middle of the lake staring at her reflection #and that's when everything is slowly dawning on her that she's been forsaken and she's!! panicking..!!!#but from the outside pov she's just standing at the middle of the lake staring at the water #naked with her big ass hair pooling around her like tendrils #shut up about bg3.

#im sorry i really hope you dont see this because i totally understand your nervous but i genuinely just want to make art for you #if i didnt i wouldnt have offered in the first place #that being said- clarinets are n o t an easy instument to draw #like. it has a lot of tiny tiny details that are needed to understand the mechanics and there arnt many poses could do and #it has a bunch of intricate hand movements needing you to fully draw and work out the hand and-#like bestie if thats what your heart truely desires you can just call it out and i shall try my darndest to get it right #but if you choose it for it to be easy to draw......#then im sorry but. thats. thats not an easy thing to draw #easy thing to draw is smth basic like guitars bass or violins #can get into more with recorders or the sideways flute or giant bass or so many others #sadly this is just. you accidentally pointed out a baked alaska as an easy thing to bake when usually you start with brownies #like i can do cakes and brownies and understand how i can do baked alaska in hypothetical forms. but making one?#thats a whole new and strange and very risky thing to do. ill still try for you but you may just end up with a puddle of flavored cream

hmm after putting a couple scenes from my script into renpy with some photos as background stand-ins + the need for some cgs here and there, i def think it could work as a vn.. i think ill finish my script before i start more seriously working on it just to be sure everything would work as i want, but i think actually if i include a little bit of narration here and there (theres technically narration in my script, though its meant to describe the panels and not to actually be narration, but some v light narration in a vn could work) itd be pretty solid i think 🤔 and itd allow me to include even more dialogue LOL which ive been making efforts to reduce but i definitely could stand to put in more. both carié isle and linnion/kèravie as a whole have a tonnn of worldbuilding where i kinda had to reduce exposition to a minimum for a comic medium. but in a vn the characters could do a lot more talking about this stuff. also i had decided to make the comic black & white bc full color is too hard for a comic for me but for a vn i would get to make it full color :)

#97 #narration would prob just say like..#what movements the characters are making/expressions theyre making when theyre thinking etc and maybe a little bit about how theyre moving #since they do walk from place to place a lot #but i dont need a ton of narration aside from that #i do want my characters to be very visually expressive without relying on narration to describe their expressions so much #so the task of All The Sprites thatd take is a little daunting #but also i do have fun w sprites lol so.#itd take a long ass time to get every single sprite needed but it could be fun #i might ask some friends to pose for me so i can have a bunch of pose references for specific sprites #a good idea would be to go over the whole script once im done and make a full list of every needed sprite #that way i can just get it all done in one go over a couple weeks of work #anyway just the fact i have so many detailed ass backgrounds..#itd be much much easier to draw each place once instead #except for cgs which would involve more angles #also thinking of having scene-specific sprites for when the characters are moving around the room #like theres a scene where ayda is changing and iddir goes to stand at the window #itd make sense to hide his sprite and to have a visual of him elsewhere in the room for that #also id need a bunch of copies of the sprites for placing the characters differently #like having them face a different way etc. so i can make the sprites look good in various dialogue dispositions #it is lucky that all my main designs are basically symmetrical..#id just have to switch around the buttoning on the jackets but otherwise i can just mirror them lol
