I would love to know your story/headcanon about Chilchuck getting huge is it the lure of an easy life with lots of food and booze ?

It pretty much boils down to the introduction of Senshi into the party.

It's stated in canon that, because of Senshi, Chilchuck's weight has been going up and is beating his "all-time high" weight. We don't really see this directly in the manga, but it's pretty much confirmed he starts to get heavier because of Senshi and his cooking.

Now, we gotta remember that Half-foots are super short. Chilchuck's like in his 30s and he's 3'7" tall, the guy's pretty tall for a half-foot, but he is still incredibly short (for reference, just look at the nearest door, he's a bit taller than the handle). This means weight is affected differently for someone his stature.

Chilchuck weighs 48 pounds, and Laios 197. If Laios were to gain 10 pounds (he canonically gains more, but just as an example), it would hardly be noticeable. Now, if Chilchuck gained 10 pounds, it'd be like night and day, he would look considerably hefty, all because he's so short.

With Senshi in the party, the characters no longer have to scram for mediocre meals, he just whips out incredibly rich meals every day, which are both healthy and heavily packed with calories. Under Senshi's diet, Laios and Chilchuck easily put on a couple of new pounds after some time (Marcille would probably stay the same, elven bodies are really odd with the thinness ingrained into their genetics). Laios' body wouldn't go through much of a change with the extra pounds, but Chilchuck's body expands way more easily, with each pound having a clear change on his physique.

Based on the "he's very careful to keep his weight under control." line from the image above, and just knowing how Chilchuck is like, he would never admit that he's gaining weight, even as his shirt's clearly straining against his newly formed stomach. He wants to watch what he eats, but god damn if Senshi's food isn't simply irresistible.

So he continues to eat excessive amounts of food. Senshi, who's love language is cooking, sees Chilchuck's eagerness to eat his meals as appraise, and continuously makes sure to increase his meal rations so he doesn't go hungry.

Laios gains some pudge at 209lbs, a 12lbs gain from Senshi entering their party. But Chilchuck put on 50lbs, being just short of 100lbs, but having undergone a huge transformation.

At 98lbs, Chilchuck's fatness would look comparable to Laios if he was 402lbs heavy, so.... huge.

He would deny any of it, though, while gorging on the custom rations Senshi would make him.

Senshi wasn't of much help either, he started making his usual meals, and would prepare a separate bowl just for Chil, where he would add more ingredients or fried things more in hopes of making it more filling. At this point his portions started to get bigger than Laios'.

Any attempts by Marcille to get Chilchuck to cut it out and stop getting fatter were met with insults from the growing half-foot and never led anywhere. Laios didn't think much of it, half-foots ARE usually on the heavier side, with Chil being an exception, so he thought his weight gain wasn't a huge concern, even if he was growing at a bit of an alarming pace.

So he continued getting fatter and fatter, ignoring the advice which was turning into concern from Marcille, and Senshi dedicating himself more and more to fill Chilchuck up with food.

I always wondered about Joker's garbage eating habits. Like, he seems to be really bad at self-care in general (needing Morgana to remind him to eat, sleep, exercise, study, etc...), but he'll go from barely touching his ramen to eating himself sick at the buffet to Kawakami chastising him for not eating well to gorging himself on the Big Bang Burger Challenge. In Strikers it's shown that Sojiro teaching him how to make curry awakened a love of cooking, to the point where he essentially cooks around the country, but most of that food is for his friends rather than himself. He just seems to have a rather complicated relationship with food.

Yeah! Joker's relationship with food is so weird and so spread throughout persona 5 that it's SO easily missable and hard to pick up on!!!

But it makes sense that the relationship he has with food/taking care of himself is superceded by his love for his friends. Not just then, but stuff like putting himself on the line to be arrested/testifying at the hearing and getting sent to juvvie ect ect

Explicit Hangster - Celebrity Chef Bradley and Naval Aviator Jake Seresin who have a relationship spanning the globe before they realize how tightly bound they are to one another. Heading into this little world.

CHAPTER TWENTY – AN INTERLUDE

                “Mav, what are doing?”

                “Uh… nothing.”

                Tom sighs, because he’s clearly been doing something, and usually Pete just admits whatever it is with a sheepish smile because he knows he has Tom wrapped very firmly around his little finger.

                “Yes. Clearly nothing with the smoke alarm lying in pieces and the smell of smoke in the air. What were you doing?” Tom asks, because if he’s learnt nothing about dealing with Pete is that the framing of the question is key.

                “I was trying to… I was trying to cook.”

                Oh. Well. That explains the smoke alarm at least.

                “You… you can’t cook,” Tom says, and he knows Pete knows this, but the broken look on his face tells him that this is not just about cooking food. Since Mav watched all of Bradley’s cooking shows and interviews there’s been something even more melancholic about him. He’d gone out and bought all of the cookbooks and read all of them as well, all the little anecdotes and if anyone was looking they’d think they used the cookbooks daily with how thumbed and well-read they look. Except they’ve never cooked anything out of them.

                Until now.

                “I miss him Ice.”

                Oh.

                He bites his tongue, because this has been a constant thorn, something that will make them yell and scream at each other and then not talk to each other for days only to come back together and apologize for yelling and screaming. But not for what they said. They both think they’re in the right and he cannot make Pete see how his actions hurt Bradley so much. Now he’s got two stubborn men both too proud to even consider apologizing to the other and he has no idea what he can do about it.

                “Do you know he doesn’t talk or mention anything about us, or even Carole or Goose? It’s like he wasn’t even alive before he moved to Italy…”

                Tom keeps his mouth shut, because yes, he had noticed, but he has a relationship with Bradley. Has visited his restaurant, had Bradley sit across the table and eat with him and talk passionately about the food and he’s seen him come alive. He’s met most of the people Bradley now considers his family, the Gallo family taking his request to keep an eye on Bradley very seriously and he hadn’t meant for them to pretty much adopt Bradley as one of their own but he has no regrets about asking that of complete strangers. It has worked out better than he could have ever imagined.

                He cannot resent a family or group of people that have opened their homes and hearts, that love and support Bradley so fully and unconditionally. A family who have without doubt healed wounds and hurts that Tom never knew were even gaping open and bleeding. The maturity he sees in Bradley now amazes him, makes him inordinately proud. Except for Maverick being his blind spot. The one person he cannot seem to bring himself to forgive, and Tom promised Mav he wouldn’t share Carole’s wish, but he also has been very open about the fact he does not agree with it. With either of them. And he’s let Bradley know that too.

                “You know what you can do. It’s your decision, and you know where I stand.”

                “He seems really happy.”

                “He… does seem happy,” Ice agrees, because there is seeming happy and then being happy, and he can’t believe, won’t believe that either of them can be truly fully happy without resolving this thing between them. Even if they never become part of each other’s lives again, to continue to just avoid and ignore isn’t helping. If he could get them into the same room and lock them up until they talked and hugged it out, he would. Except Bradley has very carefully stayed away from the west coast in a deliberate act of avoidance. He knows Bradley is happy most of the time. Wouldn’t change anything.

                And yet.

…            …            …

                The thing is Pete has thought about it.

                He’s thought about it a lot.

                What he would say. How he’d say it. But with each passing day it feels more difficult to do and he simply doesn’t know how to make the first step. Can’t simply pick up the phone like Ice seems to think would be the easiest thing in the world. Watching and reading how Bradley has grown as a man, the family experiences he’s had with a mind-bogglingly big family in Italy, his restaurant and career that Pete can’t be a part of. Can’t share, even second hand, with his inability to even cook pasta he bought, let alone make it from scratch.

                He doesn’t even know what they’d talk about now.

                So he won’t call.

                Bradley doesn’t need him.

                Not anymore.

                Hasn’t for years and isn’t about to start anytime soon.

Two-Bit Mathew's General Headcanons

This was a bunch of random thoughts I compiled together, mostly came up with them late at night. So not all of this is completely accurate to my views. I have a very complex view on him and he is definitely the most underrated of the gang. He's also the final member of the gang I have yet to do general headcanons of :) It's not my favorite headcanons I've done so I might edit these later or add on to my thought.

Darry and Two-bit Friendship stuff

Warnings: Spoilers and angst, not much else

He really likes the cheesy romance movies (He would LOVE Hallmark) They are the only ones he can sit through. He says it's because he loves to laugh at them but in reality he likes that they always have a happy ending.

He sleepwalks a lot and one time he and Darry were having a sleepover and Darry woke up at 2 to find him sitting in the kitchen eating a sandwich. Darry most definitely screamed.

He is a bit on the chubbier side but is actually still quite confident. Occasionally he will have bouts of low self-esteem but Marcia or the gang are quick to help him out. He does actually eat healthy a good amount of the time at home(His mother is very good at cooking veggies) but he also makes some…questionable food choices.

He wobbles when he walks, drunk or not. Like he’ll be walking to grab something from the counter and is walking with the MJ lean. But he has great balance. 

The gang sometimes has roast battles and Two-Bit always ends up winning because he has such an easy time coming up with stuff. The only one who can rival him is Johnny.

He is surprisingly responsible when it comes to babysitting kids. He just loves them to be honest. When he got to hold his baby sister for the first time he actually cried.

He calls Pony Ponykid sometimes just to mess with him

He feels kinda neglected by his mom but he won't ever say it. His mom works so much and his sister has anger bursts usually which takes up even more of her energy. So he usually just comes home, makes sure his sister is ok and safe and sees if she's gonna get up to anything, and then leaves to find something to do. He doesn't want to take up more space than he has to.

His house is really messy and it's not from lack of trying to keep it clean. He's just kinda given up on doing much unless it's really disgusting because if anything is cleaned up it's usually dragged out by his sister during her tantrums. Things get destroyed, furniture gets knocked around,boxes get dumped. She can be rather violent and he hates it. He hates seeing his mother's tired face as she watches his kid sister have another fit. He hates seeing his sweet little sister turn into a different creature just because she couldn't communicate that she couldn't figure out her homework. So he tried to live his life trying to not pay much attention to anything. But he ends up not succeeding.

His little sister has undiagnosed autism and ADHD. So he is kinda a Glass Child. She’s gotten better as she’s gotten older but she still struggles with anger.

Him and Darry, especially when they were kids, are best friends. They grew up together and grew apart for a little while when Darry and Paul were becoming the most popular guys in school. He was also friends with Paul and they would all hangout but Paul’s parents did not like him being around Two-Bit since he was more of a typical greaser in their eyes. It didn’t really bother Two-Bit though.

This meant Two-Bit got hit pretty hard when Darry started hanging more around west side kids. He was never around to hear some of the stuff Darry was saying but one day Darry went a bit far and made a couple jabs at Two without name-dropping, as well as others that are friends of his. Paul almost wanted to prove that Darry was his bestie now so he purposefully made sure word got to Two-Bit and the Curtis gang. Which led to a big fight between the two which led to Darry just yelling at Two-Bit to just leave him alone. (Maybe I should turn this into a fic later)

They became closer once again after the Curtis parents died and Darry realized who really was there for him. It really hit him once Two-Bit let him lean on his shoulder and just talk for hours while Paul’s scribbled note lay on the counter. Two-Bit just was glad to have him back.

Since Darry is always so busy now, he’s increased on hanging out with Johnny or just alone. He always took a shine to Johnny and ever since Soda brought Johnny into the gang he’s always tried to look out for him. Which is why Johnny stays at his house pretty often.

Johnny is always welcome in his house and his sister seems to calm down more around him. Maybe it's because she knows what he’s been through or because she just thinks he’s a cool guy. Johnny always likes sleeping there because it's cozy and Two-Bit’s family is really welcoming. Ms. Mathews always makes sure there’s extra food even if Johnny hasn’t said he’s coming. She just wants to let him know he’s always welcome even if he isn’t staying the night.

Two-Bit is just waiting for the chance to beat up Johnny’s parents. Any way he can make their days more annoying he will find a way. He just makes sure to never be caught doing so because Johnny’s parents would attack Johnny for it. 

Once Johnny died, Two-Bit couldn’t even look at the couch Johnny would sleep on.

When he got jumped by the socs, book!two-bit was shaken but confident. He was glad to have shown them he was strong and they weren’t able to shake him. But also seeing the rage and fear in some of their eyes made it start to hit him. They really were feeling the same way as half the greasers were.

Musical!Two-Bit was badly shaken. He laid on the ground for a while, tears running down his face. But he was found very quickly by Steve and Soda since his scream could be heard from the DX station. His mother held him close that night as he just stared at the ground in shock. Everyone on the east side thought that would only make him hate the socs more. But in his eyes, he didn’t really know what he was feeling. Especially after meeting Marcia and Cherry and some of the kinder socs. They were nice. But why were these ones not? It was just too much for him to try and comprehend. So he gave up trying

He is ambidextrous and he loves showing off to little kids. Pony was always stunned at Two-Bit’s ability to write two sentences at the same time. (Darry thinks Two-Bit isn’t actually able to write with both hands, he thinks that his handwriting is just terrible)

He’s the kind of person to just know everybody. Not exactly friends with everyone, but he knows every single person in Tulsa. Like one time he was at the grocery store with Darry. 

Two: Oh hey, Brill!

Darry: You know that kid?

Two: I sure do

Darry: Never woulda thought you’d get along with a soc guy like him

Two: Nah, I bit him after he tried to punch me at the drive-in.

He always acts immature and he can be. But he knows when the situation calls for him to take charge or turn on the big brother mode of sorts. 

He really likes Marcia for a lot of reasons. But one of his bigger reasons is that she actually takes him seriously. He’s so used to mainly being the comedy relief in the gang and to others. Though Darry does take him seriously sometimes. Marcia is willing to listen and banter with him on some very stupid subjects, but she’s also there for him when he wants to have serious talks. And especially late at night he can switch between the two.

On average, what is the total MONTHLY amount that you spend on dining out*?

*(This doesn't only count going out to restaurants, but also stuff like picking up fast food to bring home, getting a coffee on the way to work, getting a premade sandwich from a grocery store deli during lunch, buying a quick snack from a convenience store or food cart whilst walking somewhere, ordering a pizza or any other food to be delivered to your home, etc.)

as we enter the start of a semester and the dreaded Hour of Making Friends us upon us... if ur ever at a loss for what to say in one of those weird social situations where you only vaguely-know people, one of my favorite questions to ask is "what is your favorite food crime." a food crime is like the food combination that you love that other people find revolting. press them to take it further than pineapple on pizza, that's rote. food crimes is a good topic that has many benefits as it turns out all people are degenerates and also it will give you some cool ideas to try out later in the privacy of your own degenerate kitchen

the other good thing to ask is "okay but has anyone here ever been someplace haunted" bc it turns out if you ask most people directly they don't believe in ghosts, but many people are like "oh yeah i lived in a haunted house. ghosts aren't real tho"

Some small observations: I don’t fit through my shower door anymore! I have to squish through no matter the angle. Too wide.

When standing up straight my arm can’t reach the bottom of my belly, it officially is too big to reach without bending forwards and scooping it up.

I wish there were more restaurants with affordable prix fixe or tasting menus. I would love for nice but not ridiculously fancy restaurants to basically say "here is what we're sure is good today, you can eat that or maybe one or two other things. Otherwise come back in 2-3 days and see if that's more interesting."

no but aki gets so so sweet after you've had sex, he's unable to take his eyes off of you the whole time he's laying beside you and catching his breath. he's got the softest expression on his face, he's smiley and giddy, his cheeks are warm. he hugs you close and kisses your forehead, he asks you what he can do for you and you're not afraid to say it because you know aki wants nothing more than to give you everything you ask for.

the amount of effort that goes into figuring out what to cook and eat every day is RIDICULOUS. i used to think people were so weird and boring for eating the same thing every single day but it truly does make life so much easier

Sorry if you’ve already answered something like this! how does Warrior Bites work into the initial journey in TNP? I don’t recall how long the journey to the sun drown place took, but I feel like with how cooked food is preferable due to diseases and parasites, did Bramble and co have to get dewormed when returning to the clans? Or perhaps the Tribe could help them with that on their way back, as a thanks for how they help drive out Sharptooth?

I feel like it’d be difficult to sneak out with extra rations with how the Clans were struggling, plus it’d be difficult to carry all the tools required to cook every time they set up camp. It’d be easier for them to eat their prey raw, at least during certain parts of the journey.

Would also be an interesting opportunity to introduce the cast to different foods, too! Rogue groups in twolegplace using vegetables from gardens for flavor, for example. I couldn’t find if there’s salt beds in English mountains, but if there is the Tribe would have way easier access to it than the Clans do. I bet they’d have wildly different cuisine as a result.

The Tribe mountain MUST have salt under it, right? The Appalachians and the Caledonians are the same mountain range split up by tectonic shift and I know there's salt in the Appalachians because it's, like, pre-life-on-earth old right? Hangon

YEP there's a lot of salt in Cheshire, one of the counties I use as a model. Which I could have just learned by googling "uk salt mine." However, my brain is a rube goldberg machine.

The Sundrown Patrol DEFINITELY needed a deep cleaning! They would be full of fleas, probably be carrying a couple of bad knots or a couple of mats, and one or two of them definitely caught worms. Probably Squirrelpaw tbh, knowing her impatient little butt (affectionate).

The Tribe wouldn't do a deep deworming though, because that takes time and the Clan cats would want to get home as quickly as possible. They just stayed for the quick celebration to gather some rations and planned to leave... but then the appearance of Sharptooth changed their plans.

Setting up a basic cooking fire wouldn't be TOO hard though! You just keep a couple of sticks to use as spits and roast your prey over the open fire, like either a roast or a marshmallow. Beats dealing with tapeworms for the whole trip.

Funny enough I actually think it's Crowfoot/feather who's the main cook of the little patrol, I keep feeling like Mudclaw was a pretty good chef. He would have passed that onto Crow.

Squirrelpaw hiding how appetizing it sounds because her buddy Sorreltail opened her eyes to how good grasshoppers can taste.
