I won’t give away Reader’s backstory quite yet (that comes in Part 3!) but I will say — she was raised in a shrine and doesn’t have a lot of personal items either. She’s actually so overwhelmed by the fact she finally has a home — something that she can call hers, that she almost cries 😭 but you’ll see Giyuu feel sort of insecure about it for the first time (he just wants to impress his girl lmao).

As for your question about when I decided to make Reader a shrine maiden in TGW..

TGW came about because of the “I’m not your enemy” scene that was teased in the OG teaser — hence, why it was the first look. The entirety of TGW bloomed around this one mental image I had of Giyuu strangling his lover. I decided pretty quickly it would be his BOJ.

I knew she was going to be a civilian when I published the OG teaser, but I hadn’t settled on anything more concrete than that. HOWEVER, the second scene I wrote was the first time scene that ends Part I — I wrote that entire thing in like an hour while procrastinating. I first teased the virginity loss scene like, maybe two days after the OG teaser? So in the span of those two days I decided she would be a Shrine Maiden. It was a pretty easy decision — I needed her to have some flexibility RE her background but also give her a stable place Giyuu could come back to and see her. So that’s how I decided! But to answer your question, she was pretty much a Miko from the start, minus like two days lmao.

As for the Tanjiro scene — honestly, I’m enjoying the thought of it sm. Especially because he, like everyone else left alive after Muzan, had NO IDEA Reader even existed.

Kind of slow burn bc idk how to pace in stories, childhood friends to lovers in a way. I’m doing character building in this chapter, you’ll meet the man in the next chapter, promise.

You walked through the village, periodically adjusting the basket of charcoal on your back as you greeted everyone. You were trying to sell as much as you could, hoping that you would be able to save up enough money for you and your family to have an extravagant dinner, where everyone can eat as much as they wanted.

“Oh, (Y/N)!”

“(Y/N), (Y/N)!”

“Tanjiro! I didn’t think you’d show up today! I see you’ve bought some company!” You waved him over, jogging over to meet him up in the middle. You gave the short boy a quick hug, squeezing him tightly before doing the same to his younger siblings. You and Tanjiro would bump into each other often during your runs through the village, it was only a matter of time before the two of you became close. There were occasions when he would invite you over for dinner and vice versa. Although, both would rather just go to his instead. Not only was it closer, but a safer option.

“They snuck onto the cart...” He pouted. “By the time I realised that they were on, it would’ve been too late to turn back.” He sighed. Not in the slightest was he annoyed, more just worried that he had to keep an eye on them while trying to sell. He watched them hop off the cart to run around before turning to face you. “How much have you sold already? Would you like to walk around together?”

“I haven’t sold that much yet but I’d be more than happy to do it together.” You ruffled his hair before dragging him along. He would talk about what had been happening with his family, all the silly little things his siblings would do, and how his mother's new recipe tasted amazing. Never once has there been a dull day with him, he was like a little brother to you.

“Hanako! Shigeru! Please don’t run off too far!”

“You’re such a good brother to them, Tanjiro. I’m glad they have you.” He looked up at you, ready to throw his modesty at you before he saw the soft look in your eyes. “I wish I had an older sibling like you, it’s too bad that I’m an only child.” He suddenly let go of the handles of the cart and grabbed your hand.

“If it makes you feel any better, everyone in my family thinks of you as their older sister! Especially Takeo, but he’s too embarrassed to admit it. Mother really likes you too!” Shock flew onto your face. Man he could be so obliviously bold sometimes.

“Tanjiro-”

“Oi! You two! You guys are being very cute and all but can you help me with something? I also need a restock on some charcoal!” Their heads snapped towards the voice.

The two of them immediately jumped to help the old man waving them over. The day continued on as per usual; the two of you walked around chatting and selling as much charcoal as you can, helping with day-to-day problems the civilians had, and fixing small items.

“See you later, Tanjiro! The two of you better behave, Hanako! Shigeru!” You gave one last tight hug to the boy and his siblings before departing in the direction of your home.

Home was supposed to be a place of safety and comfort, a place full of memories attached to every room and every item. So why was it that you felt so much dread and fear every time you had to leave the village? Or why even the thought of having to walk through the front door had your breathing hitched? Would you even consider it your home or a place you live in?

You rushed through all the snow, legs burning as you kept running. You had to get home before sun fall, you couldn’t let your mother and father be mad at you. You quickly dropped off your basket the second you reached the grounds of your home before running to the door. Noticing how dark it has gotten, your hand froze near the handle. Your heart racing with anxiety, the uncomfortable sensation crawling from your stomach up to your chest, your hands shook and you knew well enough it wasn’t from the cold.

Each inhale got released quicker than the last, you had to enter through this door, what was so hard about opening a door? You took a deep breath in and shut your eyes, sliding the door hard enough for it to slam at the stopper, bracing yourself for what could come.

“(Y/N), come here.”

“Yes, father.” You shut the door as you entered the building. You kept your eyes trained to the ground, not daring to look up at the man. You knelt down before him, closing your eyes shut once more. Your body tensed, your hands gripping on to your robe, ready to shoot up to protect yourself.

“Could you please explain to me why a broken bottle of sake was spotted near the trash?” There was that feeling again. You felt the walls closing in on you, you felt as if your heart was about to burst out of your chest. Oxygen wasn’t reaching your lungs properly, it felt uncomfortable with every breath you took in and let out. A wave of heat splashed on your body, your hands were starting to get clammy.

“F… Father, it was an accident, I promise! I didn’t mean to break the bottle or to hide it from you-”

“You piece of shit!” A loud slap echoed in the room. “You can’t do one single thing right! You should’ve never been born in the first place, I should’ve left you to die!”

You bought up your arms to block your head, hoping that the impact wouldn’t be as harsh. One after another, his hands started to curl into fists. His knuckles buried themselves into your skin every time they make contact. Why couldn’t you fight back anymore? You used to be able to fight back so well, why couldn’t you bring yourself to yell back at him, try and physically fight him back? What changed?

“I’m sorry! Stop, please, I’ll do better! You’re hurting me too much!”

“Honey, that’s enough!” Your mother grabbed onto his arm, only to be flung into the closest wall. He stared down at the woman, the cries that tried to be silent never reaching his ears. “Did you seriously just do that?!” The older woman yelled. He turned his full body at her, arguing back with her.

The screaming and yelling.

The burning, throbbing pain all over your head and arms.

The strangling in your throat as you tried to hold back a sob.

It was too much.

All the tension in your body finally snapped. You turned towards the door and pushed your body to move. Stumbling towards your only exit, you slammed the door open.

“Get back here! I’m not fucking done with you!”

Don’t stop, keep going. Don’t stop, don’t stop, don’t stop.

You heard a pair of footsteps behind you, fearing that it may be your father, you didn’t dare to look back in case it was. You dodged through the trees, trying to keep your stride short enough to run effectively in the snow. The only thing you didn’t account for, was the narrowing of the path. You were running alongside a cliff, a once easy walk through was now a death trap as the ground beneath the snow started to ice over.

“Wait!”

That voice didn’t belong to your father. It was laced with hope and desperation. The second you looked back, you saw a taller figure with a red and white kitsune mask on. Just as you tried to slow down, your foot slammed into a root hidden beneath the white blanket. Your eyes widen as your body falls forward and over the edge of the cliff. A hand grabbed onto your haori, tugging you into an embrace before the impact of the ground hit. The hold was protective, it was warm.

“Hey, can you hear me? Squeeze my hand if you can.” The man felt your hand curl around his, nothing close to a squeeze but it was a sign to him that you were still alive.

“I’m going to take you back to my place, you deserve better than a house full of those wretched demons.” He stared down at you, feeling your hand go limp. You were now unconscious; all the adrenaline finally knocking you out. The man carefully picked you up, gently placing you over his shoulders as he trudged through the thick snow. “Speaking of…”

He placed a firm grip on your back as he raised his katana at the glowing eyes that stared him down. It was going to take a lot longer to reach home than he would have liked but as long as you were safe, he could let it slide for now.

Your eyes shot open as your body threw itself forward. You were going to have a look at your surroundings before your vision darkened. Everything started to blur, your head feeling light, it was only seconds before you slammed your head back down on the pillow.

“Hey, be careful now.” A hand caught your head, easing it down on the soft pillow. “Your body is still recovering.”

“Who are you?” You croaked out, turning your head to look at the voice. The same red and white kitsune mask you saw from last night, sitting on the side of the man's head.

“My name is Fuyuhito Touwa. We met when you were younger.” He placed a warm cup of tea beside you. “Please, take your time. You are safe here under my protection.”

“Oh… I remember… You and father wanted to train me to be the next snow hashira?” You slowly flipped onto your side and propped yourself up on one arm. “What happened to that?” You grabbed the handle of the cup, bringing it up to your lips to take a sip.

“Your father and I got into a rather big argument about you becoming one. I can understand where he was coming from to an extent, but I did not support his way of training you.” His focus was on you, gauging your reaction with every word that fell out of his mouth. “He would use his hand against you a lot. It is absolutely no way anyone should be treating their own kid. If you want to stop talking about this, please let me know.”

“I will.” You softly spoke back. Memories flashing in your head from what he reminded you of. You placed down the cup, not realising how quickly you skulled the drink. “I will be honest, I did forget about it. It’s one of those memories I’ve suppressed.”

“Understandably so. Would you like a refill?”

“Yes please.” Everything about him felt comfortable. It was the opposite feeling to your father. Instead of dread and fear, it felt safe, peaceful even. “What made you come back? I wasn’t expecting you to be the one chasing me.” You tried to joke around, not liking the depressive atmosphere.

“I must’ve frightened you quite a bit, I apologise for that. I wasn’t expecting to be chasing you.” He chuckled, going along with your attempt to lighten the mood. “I felt… Something off. I regret leaving you behind with that man and his wife, so I came back to try and ask if he would let me resume training you as an excuse to get you away.” Your gaze softens at the man, heart warming with familial love.

“You came back for me.”

“Of course, I did.” He placed his hand on your head, ruffling up your already messy hair. “On a more serious note, would you like to continue your training?”

“Yes,” Without missing a heartbeat, you responded with no hesitation. “I want to be able to fight back and not only protect myself, but the people I care about.”

“There’s that fighting spirit again. Rest up for now, we will begin the day after tomorrow. We shall talk more in the morning.” He blew out the candles that lit up your room. Before leaving your new room, he glanced back one more time, a small but noticeable smile creeping his lips.

“Goodnight, (Y/N).”

SORRY FOR ANSWERING THIS SO LATEEE FIOJFDSOI this month has been hell, but my birthday was super great!! TYSM FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES

My f/os know that I really want my birthday to be a good, special day, and they always deliver! I love going out on my birthday especially, eating good food, doing something super fun and I always appreciate gifts!!

So that's what we usually do, depending on the f/o it can get more grandiose or more simple, but I love it all the same!

Like Giyuu for example is very big on the gifts, he really likes spoiling me with nice things in general but he really goes out of his way on my birthday! He's especially big on garments, very very nice pieces of clothing with lots of detail and time taken into making them, he'll pay the big bucks for really nice kimonos and dresses alike. Also the grub will be absolutely divine!!! My man knows I like good food whenever I can get it!

Or someone like Stanley, where we both just like to go do something really fun and simple! He's a big fan of taking me out to Vegas, or some years we've done something cute like the drive-in! He'll always get me a nice piece of jewelry too! He won't ever fess up to it, but he has a small pool of savings he adds to all year for a nice jewelry piece for me on my birthday. It's always something super special and gorgeous too <3

I just wanna say you're quickly becoming one of (if not) my favorite kny fanfic author! I love the way you potray all these characters and their unique dynamic with each other! especially your characterization of giyuu! I always worry if I’m portraying the characters right, especially Giyuu because he’s one of my favorite characters (aside from Shinobu, I looooove Shinobu)

Demon slayer overall has some great character diversity with interesting characters with different motivations and personalities. However since the story is mostly from Tanjiros perspective we don’t really get to explore some of the more intricate parts of the other characters. So we’re left to piece together those parts from fanbooks, light novels and gaidens. To me Giyuu is such an interesting character and such a hard character to get right, I had to reread/watch a lot of his scenes and extras until I felt like I had a good grasp of his character.

Like in my head Giyuu is a silly little serious guy with depression 🤧 like same Giyuu same. But he’s so much more than that. I think at the root of his character he is a kind and sensitive person. He was so distraught over Sabito’s death that he had to suppress all emotions in order to move on. He stitched together his sisters and Sabito’s garments and wears it to honor them. He likes people based on if they simply try to talk to him. He remembers Muruta’s name even if they haven’t been shown to really interact. He gave Nezuko expensive gifts to thank her for fixing up his Haori.

He saw Tanjiro begging for him to spare Nezukos life and yelled some sense into him, ultimately becoming one of the catalyst for the start of the story. And this is just my opinion, but I definitely think he saw himself in Tanjiro at that moment, a weak brother unable to do anything for his sister but to grovel and beg. He took on the blame for death of the other Kamado because he didn’t come half a day sooner. He simply just wants to protect people, even if it’s just one person. He tries his best to be calm and collected, to focus on the present and what he can control. He’s intelligent in battles and is observant of others, doing his best to compliment and aid others when fighting together.

I think the most interesting thing about him though is that he knows that he’s capable. When he saves Inosuke from the dad spider demon he says that the demon wasn’t even in his league. He’s confident in his ability to slay Rui, a lower 5 demon. But despite that he doesn’t believe that he deserves the rank of Hashira, even when one of the requirements is literally having the strength capable of killing one of the 12 moons. And despite feeling unworthy, he still takes his responsibilities and role as a pillar seriously. He tells Shinobu that they shouldn’t waver as pillars, and is strictly focused on doing his job and slaying demons.

I’m not going to turn this into a whole character analysis of Giyuu, I’ll save that for another day, but yeah I love his character and find him interesting, I’m glad to hear that I’m doing his character some justice in my writing :)

I’m hoping to update I’ll live a quiet life sometime this week, maybe tomorrow night? I’ve been hitting a block quite recently but I think I’m finally starting to push past it! I have about a month before I return back to university and get swamped with school work. But I’m on my last year, so it’s mostly portfolio and internship stuff that I need to work on so hopefully I won’t be too swamped. I still have much planned and stories I want to write.

“Right! But it’s also good training to endure the heat!” Rengoku exclaims as Tengen leaves the spring to grab a towel. A quick “yeah yeah” leaving his mouth as he went to the changing rooms.

Whenever you get embarrassed to talk and you quite can't get the word out due to your constant stuttering, he patiently waits, and reassures you that it is alright.

Loves holding your hand, either it's for comfort or for reassurance.

When someone dares to make fun of you and your stutters, he'd always step infront of you in a defensive manner, and woo the person away as tears fell from his face.

" Please do not say that about them. If you don't have anything better to do, then I suggest you to leave us alone instead of making fun of their condition. Especially when I am around. "

And after that, he'll hold your hand and give you a gentle smile while to two of you walk away peacefully.

He was like a tree who'd give you shelter on a rainy day.

You were flamboyant to him the first time, and is still is even now.

As annoying as this man can be sometimes due to him being insufferable, he loves you to bits!

a/n: I smiled at your request since I’m small too. Like I’m 5′0. And I’m kinda scared to do face to face classes since the boys at my school will tease me for not getting taller. Hmph. SO HERE YA GO. You’re the first request! Have a nice day whoever u are!

And I am so sorry this is so long! ASJDAOFHHASK. I got carried away in some of those storylines. I hope this makes sense (wrote this when I was hungry).

Giyuu Tomioka

yo this guy is tall not kidding

Giyuu is head over heels for you. He’ll want to protect you since you’re the most precious things he’s ever laid eyes on

Sparkles in his eyes whenever he sees you✨

He doesn’t want to lose you so he’s butting in on all of your missions. You get annoyed and you think he’s looking down on you.

You two get into a fight and doesn’t fix it since Giyuu’s communication is bad. It ends up in you walking away.

Nighttime and demons are lurking around in the forest as you take a stroll to clear your mind. Then a demon launches on you but thanks to your quick reflexes you dodge.

It’s a strong demon, close enough to become one of the lower moons. But nothing you can’t handle.

Giyuu senses a demon nearby and he frantically searches for you. *sim dads reaction when the mother goes into labor lmaooooo*

Lights fill up an area of the forest from the techniques you use. In like 2 strikes the demon dies.

He finally finds you as the demon’s ashes blow away. Your hair is dramatically blowing too.

He’s just staring at you then hugs you “I’m sorry. I’m not underestimating you…I just want to protect you.”

Then all good. He’s amazed by how strong you are despite you’re short stature. You’re going to missions together and sometimes he just watches you finish off the demon. Just happy to see that satisfied smile you have when you kill a demon.

Muichiro Tokito

When he first met you at the pillar meeting, he muttered his thoughts, wondering how could someone be that small? You’re in the same age but you’re small.

Shinobu heard him since she was beside him and said “that’s rude to ask someone”. She’s lowkey offended.

Tengen retorts to Muichiro. “You’re small too…??”

Since it’s rude, he kept his mouth shut. You’re the same age as him when you entered the corps. He thinks you’ll grow up anyway.

Surprise surprise you grew up, 2 inches. But still small.

He gets nervous a bit around you since puberty did you good. Won’t admit it though.

Cue swordsmith village arc

He’s having trouble dealing with Gyokko. (I hate his face. It’s weird and ugly.)

Then minutes later, you show up out of nowhere, giving great damage to the demon.

“Are you okay?” you ask him with concern and you two fight off the fish demon.

He’s in awe because you actually took over the fight. Sure you have injuries but those are minor compared to his and you were very careful.

He’s injured so he couldn’t do much but you saved him and the civilians by defeating the demon. That’s when he realized how amazing you are and you earn his respect.

Days pass by and you two along with the other demon slayers are commended by Oyakata-sama.

He thanks you when the both of you are walking together. He’s very grateful for what you did and you two become closer afterwards.

“Ah young love.” Mitsuri sighs blissfully as she watches you two leave the headquarters.

Kyojuro Rengoku

Kyojuro knows you’re small and he knows you’re strong. You’re one of his trainees along with Mitsuri, so you’ve known each other for a long time now.

You rose to the ranks of the pillars with Kyojuro’s guidance. And now you’re looked up to by the whole organization because of your excellent swordsmanship despite your small figure.

So you’re tasked to train 20 slayers ranked below Tsuchinoto. You take them to a clearing in the forest where training equipment are already placed. You train them by remembering what Kyojuro has taught you over the years. And you smile, seeing your past self in the struggling slayers.

You gave them a 10 minute break and after 10 minutes, you do a headcount to see if everyone is in your proximity.

“18,19…?????”

Oh no. A slayer is missing.

So you set off to find the missing one and there you found him.

Hanging upside down from the arms of a large demon. The boy is muttering apologies for straying faraway and is begging for you to save him upon seeing you.

You are annoyed at the fact that he has disobeyed your orders and is now at the hands of danger. But this was no time to be blaming someone for a boy’s life is at stake here.

You jump into the air and you take down the demon pretty easily with one strike of your sword. And you catch the falling boy bridal style with your annoyed face.

You put the boy down but suddenly a demon comes attacking you both. You kill it but more of it comes at you. They are easy to take down but it keeps coming, making you tired if you have to do this all night. It just won’t stop multiplying.

You think you’ve killed almost all of it but then the slayer screams “(L/N)-SAN!!!!!”. A monstrous looking demon bares its claws at you, but before you could react a flash of flames appears right in front of your eyes.

“Kyojuro…” You whisper in relief as he slays the final demon. The bright flames sparkle in your eyes as you’re once again amazed at the man.

Kyojuro looks at you and comes over. “You’re so amazing.” You manage to say.

He smiles and says. “No. You’re the amazing one.”. You always manage to face whatever challenge and it always ends up in you winning. Kyojuro knows how hard you proved others wrong by becoming a strong pillar.

Super proud of you cause you’re strong. He actually watched you battle those before jumping in to save you.

Sanemi Shinazugawa

He doesn’t really care if you’re short or tall

The important things is that you’re useful to the organization

When someone teases you about your height, you end up feeling down and he’s there to beat that someone’s ass.

He doesn’t like to admit it but he’s a softie when it comes to you. You eventually break down his walls and now you can say you’re friends with the scary wind pillar.

You always tease him though and he’s always annoyed. But everyone thinks you’re both dumb since it’s very clear that you two like each other but you still deny it.

There’s this time where Sanemi is visibly struggling fighting demons as you watch him peacefully on a rooftop. He’s glaring at you and asks you “What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”.

You just smile at him sweetly😊

Sanemi pretends his heart didn’t do a flip. But his heart stopped when he saw a demon behind you on the rooftop.

He was about to call your name when another blink and the demon’s head was cut off.

He was surprised since it all happened so fast. You go down to the ground, landing safely as you battle demons that the frozen Sanemi left.

It just took you 10 seconds to eliminate those demons and Sanemi’s mouth is left agape as he watched you.

You weren’t normally like this. So why the sudden surge of power?

“Sanemi hun. Close your mouth.” You say to him with a blank face, but before you could go past him, he gripped your wrist tightly and placed your small body in front of him.

He dragged you so easily lol.

He hugged you with your faced buried on his chest.

It was the comforting kind of silence. Sanemi was scared losing you to that demon but deep inside he knows that you’re strong.

Won’t admit that your moves are amazing.

Gyomei Himejima

This man is the strongest in the demon slayer corps and the tallest

Gyomei actually gets out of tricky situations easily because he’s that strong

You’re a fairly new pillar who earned her spot 3 months ago. You two were assigned on a mission together. A gigantic demon appeared throughout the village that was between the regions you and the stone pillar were assigned in.

Gyomei knows your capabilities so he trusts you in doing a good job, but he can’t help but worry about you.

He doesn’t care if you’re small, he thinks that height isn’t the basis for an excellent demon slayer. But he’s still worried, so he looks for you. I don’t know how he looks but he looks.

Then he sees you fighting off demons very easily. A determined look is seen across your face. Gyomei feels he’s tearing up because he’s so proud of you. Proud boyfriend here somethin.

You were just a weak mizunoto years ago and now you’re a strong pillar who can fight with him side by side.

When you finish off the demons, you look to see Gyomei smiling at you. This were the fruits of the harsh trainings you went through, it made an excellent swordswoman.

Among the pillars, you stand beside Gyomei in rankings. So you’re powerful like wow. O_O

Obanai Iguro

He’s small but have you seen him fight? He’s a demon slayer with remarkable speed and you won’t know he’s attacking you because his moves slithers secretly like a snake.

You’ve always admired Obanai even you’re now both pillars. And that admiration bloomed into something more.

He’s a strong pillar despite his small stature and that’s what you aim for to be like.

You’re trying to show off your moves to him every time you’re in battle together, to show him what you can do. To which he’s just “meh”.

So you give up on trying to show off and just do it for the sake of the people you’re saving.

You really gave up on showing off, but you can’t help it cause your breathing forms are flashy. Obanai doesn’t show it but he loves that display of power you have when you’re fighting.

Poor man doesn’t realize he’s in love with you even though others point it out.

He’s having trouble dividing his attention on protecting the civilians or fighting the demons. Luckily you were near the area so you came to his aid.

You slay the demons with your sharp and precise movements in just a short amount of time.

He’s like 😲 but when you turn he’s back to 😐😷

He’s one of the guys who won’t admit that you’re amazing and won’t admit that he likes you. You force him to confess though.

Tengen Uzui

If Obanai doesn’t admit he likes you, this guy would shout that he likes you

Would openly flirt with you because why not? There’s nothing to be shy about.

Always takes the chance to compliment and flirt with you.

This are a kind of little scenarios/imagines mixed with headcannons just like in the first part.

🔥 Kyojuro

It's no secret that Rengoku is a really passionate person, and sometimes if not always says whatever is going through his mind. You've always admired that about him, how he has no filter and never regrets the things he says even though that can also piss you off sometimes too.

Like that one time you two had to spend the night together at a mission and right when you woke up he said you scared him because you look like a monster when you wake up or when he told you that the colour of your eyes remind him of a food his mum used to cook which smelled like literal shit how sweet of him <3

- But he also keeps telling you how good you looked every time that you stumbled into each other.

- And also randomly complimented you whenever he was having a conversation with another person, like when he was talking with Muichiro about the weather and you overheard him saying "Have you seen how much ______ has improved with their fighting technique?"

But nothing he has said has ever surprised you as much as that time you were telling him about your latest fight and he interrupted you to say:

"I'm not sure if you know this, but I think I'm in love with you" and then he smiled at you and told you to go on with your story.

🦋 Shinobu

You have known Shinobu for a really long time, but the only two things that you actually know about her is that she has amazing medical abilities and that she's terrifying and probably doesn't like you. The only times you get to speak with her is everytime you get wounded, which happens more than you'd like, and she usually never talks back to you whenever you try to start a conversation.

- What you don't know is that she does that whenever she likes someone and gets to shy to even be able to talk to you.

- But she always hopes you see how her eyes sparkle everytime you go to her house searching for her help.

Instead, on day you decided to make her talk taking advantage of the fact that you were going to get your medicine at her house.

"Can I ask you something?" which she responded with a nod.

"Is there a reason why you are always ignoring me? I've seen you talking with everyone, even Giyuu! have I done anything to you?"

" I guess that it's because I don't want to admit that I like you" she quietly said and immediately regretted since she abruptly gave you your medicine and kicked you out of her house.

💗 Mitsuri

Just like Rengoku, she's really obvious when she likes someone but you are dumb and think that everytime she tells you how much she likes you she's just being nice because she's the love hashira and she's always really vocal about how much she admires everyone.

The thing is that she has told you many times that she likes you but not that she loves you which might be the reason why you have never stopped treating her like just a friend, or at least thats what Rengoku said to her.

- Also, it's really obvious that you like her and everyone knows that besides Mitsuri thats as dumb as you are.

- The rest of the Hashira have a bet on who is going to confess their love first (only Gyomei thinks you'll be the first one, actually he does not but the bet didn't make sense if no one bet on you)

It had almost become a routine bumping into Mitsuri everytime you went to the nearest village to your house to get food, and you always end it up having lunch together.

"Are you going to finish that?" She asked you while staring at your almost finished plate of food.

"No, you can eat the rest if you want to"

This also happened everytime you had lunch with her, she ate so fast and was always so hungry that you ended up giving her your food no matter how hungry you were.

Once she had finished her food, she walked you home even though she lived in the opposite direction.

"Your hair looks beautiful today" You said to her who immediately blushed.

"I love you"

"What? No you don't"

"I didn't mean to say it so abruptly, sorry."

"It's okay, you are the love Hashira after all, you love everyone!"

"You know what I meant... Now stop acting as if you don't love me too and kiss me."
