no matter. rest in peace to your friend, but at least they're still around to talk to.

phantump can be taken care of much like children, since about a quarter of them *were* human children at a point. morbid, but that's life. they're as omnivorous as humans, but it's recommended to keep warmer foods away from them due to potential damage to the bark, which is technically part of their body. they can be sustained on spirits and other energies, but maybe hold off on that until your friend is more acclimated to ghosthood. for now, try easily digestible and simple foods for the poor thing. thin soups, drinks, nothing super solid or hard for the time being. eating that sort of stuff can damage the stump if not practiced, but it comes naturally. eventually.

they're also more susceptible to both heat and cold, and get waterlogged easily. keep your friend mild and dry, pretty please. maybe give them some decorations. the bark isn't usually incorporeal unless chosen, so they can drape things off of it and wear it easily. just don't pierce it. it can hurt a lot.

and phantump can get a little lonely, sometimes. check their boundaries, and maybe give them a few visits to make sure they aren't lonely. please check their boundaries, kai, please, do not turn up uninvited and barge in, it is in fact rude.
