so for context my brother rarely calls me by my name and instead calls me sister (its cuz of the bröther may i have the loops meme) and he had a friend of 10 years that died 3 years ago who he always called sir, he never really gave himself the chance to grieve and today he called me sir on accident and i just watched his eyes turn sad and there was this awkward silence and we didnt talk about it but the word just lingered in the air. i really just hope he gives himself time to properly grieve

#also him calling me sir was really gender affirming but in the moment it didnt click in my brain #also i dont mind my brother calling me sister in fact its actually part of my weird gender #but i wouldnt mind being called brother...in fact if that happened i might cry happy tears #but yeah id rather be called sister than my deadname #my deadname is a good name but i haye it #it makes me feel shitty cuz of the meaning of my deadname im trying to think of how to describe it without putting my deadname out there #i guess one way to describe what it means is “ornery foe”#my name is legit a description of susan lmao but my deadname isnt susan i think i wouldve had to fight my parents if they named me that
