I mean no offense, please feel free to ignore, but what, may I ask, is the cause of your chronic pain and are there anyways you've learnt to accommodate it?
tendon damage, basically. what started as your run of the mill rsi turned into tendon fraying with chronic inflammation because i didn't get proper care (doctors didn't believe me when i told them how much pain i was in) and some other genetic issues that made things worse.
i stretch and do exercises daily so it doesn't get worse, and i'm seeing a physiotherapist. i wear compression gloves. i modified everything i could in my environment — ergonomic mouse and mechanic keyboard, minimalist furniture that's easy to clean, clothes that don't demand much buttoning/tying. i have a granny cart for shopping. i favor meals that can be made in batches and don't handwrite much anymore. i had to give up quite a few hobbies and things i used to love, like french braiding my own hair. but if it helps keep the pain bearable, i'm doing it.
