this is tumblr. Posts that are just one sentence or a single image— even just a single word can get a fuck ton of reblogs. I’ve seen a post that was just “balls” get thousands of notes. Also on that was “your morher” (with the typo)

When I made this account I had expected for a max of ten people to interact with it, a lot more than three people have interacted with it.

It’s like a jump scare every time I get a notification

#Granted those were both posted by a person w/ a lot of followers but still #point is #tumblr isn’t really like other social media #we don’t really think of tumblr in terms of “content”#i think of my blog as a little box of things i find that make me happy in one way or another #or that i had something to say about #and occasionally i put my own stuff on there #And i think of this site as a way to connect with people #kinda like being in a really giant discord server but also not like that #We also don’t have an algorithm #outside of like... the search bar sorted by top #and the blogs it recommends are also an algorithm (i think)#but that’s not the main way ppl find posts/blogs #usually you see someone in your notifs or a post rbed from them and just start digging through their blog before you remember #that you’re probably spamming their notes #but then you keep doing it anyway bc who cares #i found u while searching.... i think damian’s tag? While sorting by recent #and i found your floor plans poll and got excited and followed you so i can be there when they come out #but it’s okay we can wait as long as it takes #Fandom here is honestly more like an online book club #ahhhhh i think im reaching the tag limit #wish it would tell me when i hit the limit instead of just cropping out the excess #hellsite (affectionate)
