It was long past midnight and Dalim was about to call it a day as the last customer drunkenly left the bar with their friends. The peaceful silence befall as Dalim walked around to collect the remaining plates and glasses left on the tables. He pushed the chairs back in its place, picked up the last remaining dish and was about the head toward the backroom when---

Cling.

The bell on the door to the bar entrance chimed through the room.

"I'm sorry but we're clos---" Dalim paused mid-sentence as he noticed who entered. "____---"

He was cut off once again as the small figure rushed up and hugged her arms right around his torso, hiding her face in his chest. Carefully setting down the plate in his hand on a nearby table, Dalim circled his arm around her shoulders, his free hand pressing her head against him as he gently caressed her.

"Is something the matter?” He tried to ask her in a soft and kind voice despite the burning he felt deep inside him from seeing her tear-stained face the moment she entered the bar.

"Can I just... stay... like this... for a while...?" _____ spoke up in between her sobs.

"Sure." And he stood there, silently hugging her. But his mind was all but quiet.

I won't forgive whoever hurt you like this. Just say the word, and I'll make them disappear for you. You might end up hating me for it, but you deserve all the happiness in this world. So please, ...stop blaming yourself for everything.
