oh. I think my fears about Chiefcake passing from old age were more on point than I realized. she's acting very weak right now.

and it's late on a friday, when all the rabbit-specific vets have closed. I'll call around anyway to see if at home euthanasia is an option tonight.

#I didn't expect it to be this soon #she's been sleeping more and urinating outside of the litter box #so I was planning on getting her on arthritis meds to see if those helped her move around better #but tonight......I know how animals act when they're dying.#something has gone wrong inside her #god these things always happen at night when the vets have closed 💀#all I can do is stay with her and try to make her as comfortable as possible #this sucks #at least she still feels good enough to eat the apple slice I'm offering and tooth-purr while being stroked

#im curious #this question plagues me bc like. the most random people #people u wouldnt expect #are usually like. ohhh yeah no they're real bc i seent one and it talked to me and cut my hair lol #edit: oh i should say my own story. i have 3 i guess #my family is like very superstitious tho. hispanics are just like that. so we avoid Spooky Places #but one day i was faking sick and home watching tv and standing on the other side of the room #and i watched the dial (a big dial) on the sound system start SPINNING #the sound went up in accordance too #i had to cross the room and stop it from spinning bc if it blew the speakers i would get in trouble #never happened again.#in the first house we lived in i sleptwalked all the time and my parents ALWAYS heard footsteps #and once when i was home alone i saw like. a little tornado? of papers? inside my dad's office?#and then once we were talking about the nightmares my brother was having #(btw he was like 17-18 at this time #i was like 15 so it wasn't little kid imagination stuff)#bc he had reoccurring nightmares of the ghost. and then all of the bottles in my house #all of them. in the fridge and out of the fridge. glass and plastic #EXPLODED.#glass and gingerale and wine EVERYWHERE #parents were mad at us lol and thought we were lying #also bonus i have night terrors and once when i was 25 my mom (catholic. faithful) calmly tells me #she used to have a poltergeist. and describes the guy i see in my night terrors .#and then she laughed a little and said. he went away when i had you #when i tried to push for info she was like. NOOOO it's CREEPY . i was like. mere pardon.#but funnily enough i don't know that i actually believe in ghosts. also ghost agnostic

Amatonormativity has destroyed so many people's understanding and acceptance of themselves, and it's heartbreaking.

Yes, it is normal to be in your 20s, 30s, or older and not have lost your virginity, had a first kiss, or a partner. It is normal to say that you aren't ready for those things, too! It is normal if your life doesn't follow the "college graduate -> engagement -> buying a home -> 2.5 kids and a dog" trajectory that so many people have idealized.

So many people associate maturity with losing your virginity, or having a first kiss, or a serious relationship, and I think that's a dangerous association. Maturity isn't gained through those things, and you don't have to have those experiences to be considered "mature" or "grown." It is not a bad thing to go at your pace. Nobody else can live your life but you. If you end up having those experiences, that's great! But it should be done because you want to experience them, not because you feel "broken" and "immature" without them.

tumblr content moderation just dealt with all FIVE hate speech reports i have made over the last 24 hours in one go, i am not sure if they are actually putting in extra work on catching up right now or if this is because im a big blog and have publicly talked about these hateful asks, but im glad something is being done at least. it will still take a lot for me to be able to really trust this site again, all because of a public tantrum of a CEO, but at least some people on the inside appear to be trying to do what they can.

Say what you will about the Varric twist in Veilguard. But the way the narration changes to Elgar’nan after the reveal made my stomach turn. Having Varric hold your hand throughout the story only for him to be ripped away from you like that made me immediately feel his absence like a stab in the chest.
