I've got a shitty, evil cold and I want Ace like that, he gets to suffer along with me. (Includes regular cold stuff if coughing, runny nose, sore throat)

Ace is going through a day and not thinking the little cough he has matters enough to visit med bag, he probably just hasn't drank enough. At dinner, he tries both ale and water at dinner and it's not perfect, but he does feel a bit better and decides not to pay it any mind when he climbs into bed and passes out.

Marco comes to bed later, late evenings in the med bay you know, and notices that Ace is tossing and turning but he calms down when Marco runs a hand up and down his arm, and he chalks that up to a nightmare. He quickly gets undressed and tucks himself in near Ace, hoping his heat will get rid of any vestiges of a nightmare left.

Ace wakes up the next morning with a sore, scratchy throat, an annoying cough, and a desperate need to blow his nose. He stumbles to the bathroom, slightly lightheaded in a way he normally isn't, and blows his nose in what could only be called a honk.

Brain still trying to catch up with this whatever-the-fuck, he tries to breath deeply and ends up jumping straight into a cough fit, each exhalation tearing at his throat.

Ace moans, tired, tired, tired down to his bones despite just waking up. Swiping at his nose again, he goes back to the bed and chugs the red cup of water Marco must've brought for him.

He attempts to curl back into Marco's chest, but that makes one nostril all plugged. The other side does the same thing and Ace grumbles, moving to his back. There's little solace there, but better than the first two options, so he props himself up a little and falls back into an uneasy sleep.

Marco wakes up to Ace in the middle of a coughing fit, the bed jostling from the intensity. He's a little confused but mostly concerned, and starts rubbing soothing circles on Ace's back, using a bit of his flames to ease his partner's pain.

"Are you good?" Marco asks, surprised when he gets an armful of messy, sniffling, whining Ace instead of an immediate answer.

"I'm dying, Marco. Put me out of my misery, please."

Petting at black hair, Marco shakes his head. "No thanks. I'll get you some medicine instead and something soft to eat from Thatch, how does that sound?"

Ace whines again. "Can't you just use your flames on me? Pleeease. I feel awful."

"They don't work as well with colds, it's not like an easy to find and stabilize wound. I'll use a little bit and go get the food, okay."

Nodding forlornly, Ace lays back on his pillow. Chuckling internally at how cute his sickly Fire is, Marco taps Ace to sit up a little and tucks his own pillow underneath Ace's. Ace gives a small smile and Marco leans over to press a kiss to his forehead, letting blue flames dance over his lips and enjoying the soft sigh from below.

"Thank you Mar," Ace whispers, grey eyes fluttering shut, his breath slowing to an slightly more even cadence. Marco ran his hand through Ace's hair one last time before tugging on his shirt and going to fulfill his promise.

Whenever he sees you on equipment or lifting anything remotely Heavy he is like jaw dropped and impressed by the slightest, he would be like “ oh wow that’s cool! “ in general but knowing that it’s you and someone he deeply loves and someone he is dating he is off the charts impressed and wants you to do it again and again like its something he can watch you do for hours and as if its some type of entertainment

Definitely have organized your workout playlists by tempo, matching songs to different types of exercises for maximum motivation. High-energy tracks to help each other up for intense sets, while soothing melodies accompany yoga and stretching.

Some exercises you guys do are considered dates to him sometimes your short vacations like that often revolve around adventure and physical activity he will view as spending time together and on a date you guys have explored hiking trails in national parks, surfed in tropical destinations, and even tried bungee jumping.

During those moments he really takes in your physical appearance, he really is fond of your beauty and the best state of your body and how healthy it is and shows your dedication towards fitness and On tough mornings you’d guys would stay in bed until 11:30 just to talk about whatever is on your guys mind and just use this as a reset and motivational moment

Since he is new to the real life word which includes social media I feel like he would be in awe with Pinterest, and how there are pictures for everything so he has definitely created a visualization board with quotes, images, and mementos that motivate him and you to strive for your goals. This is something I think he does unintentionally but I think he would like to start each day with affirmations that boost your confidence and set positive intentions for the day.

Ken is definitely active participants in body positivity workshops and seminars, advocating for acceptance and self-love and especially helping you to keep knowing or making you know that your body is the best and despite what condition it is in, it will always be the best one in his eyes

On the social media topic again he would love experimenting with fitness technology, using apps and wearables to track progress and optimize his workouts and seeing the different ways that technology could help improve muscle, I feel like at night when you guys are bored you’d guys research workshops and seminars on fitness, health, and nutrition, and be constantly seeking to expand your guys knowledge and expertise.

The shooting star symbols placement is bad but now generally speaking these stars, hearts and other symbols looks like they are randomly placed on pets to make them distunguasheble from the Hasbro made ones. And he’ll take care of her too, make sure he remembers her favorite food, flower, blanket you name it he’ll remember.

@sleepyrintaro (ik you’re on a hiatus love but I wanted to include you too) Kuroo, another absolute unit. When I tell you they’re both geniuses and when they’re together they’re either the most intelligent people or have one brain cell shared and there’s no in between, there’s no in between. Rin is amazing and is so kind/has such a big heart the two of them would have so much fun together and be so fun to be around. Kuroo would love hearing about psychology and it would basically turn into talking about hyperfixations going back and forth.

@rukunas Sukuna hands down. Rue is so sweet and has the best vibes and I feel like Sukuna would be drawn to that. The soft but only for you trope definitely comes into play here. Sukuna would look so intimidating and tease Rue but then get flustered half way through. King of curses or not he can be really intimidating one minute but as soon as you need him he’s instantly like ‘what’s wrong baby what happened?’ (Basically the Gordon Ramsey with kids vs with adults comes into play here).

@kkodzvken Dabi or Toga, Lune is a sweetheart and I feel like both Dabi and Toga would look at them and instantly think ‘I want to protect them.’ This relationship would be very cute in its own way because they’d all watch out for each other. Dabi would smile so fondly it would be a crime, but if he’s ever called out on it he would 100% deny it and you can’t convince me otherwise. He’d let Lune wear his coat around if they wanted to. With Toga, she’d do skin care (if you wanted to) and would adore shopping dates! Loves cuddling and just snuggling up to you too!

@katslutski I cannot stress this enough: Nanami Kento. They both value independence and Nanami would take care of you if you needed it. He’d love chilling and watching movies or reading quietly with Kat and nobody can convince me otherwise. Slow dancing in a kitchen would be a must at least once. They’d have separate apartments but spend a lot of time at the others. He’d send texts from time to time asking how she is and would enjoy making dinner together with her. Nothing relaxes him more than the time they have together. Kat is so fun to talk to and is honestly amazing and so is Nanami so they would for sure have the best convos too.

@pupimouto Chuuya hands down. Babi is honestly amazing and Chuuya would be so enamored. He’d also have the thought of ‘Must protect.’ Adores her, the red and pink aesthetic for sure. If there’s a bad day he’d be there to hold her close to her and reassure her and if she kisses him or holds his hand/tells him she loves him? Gone he has ascended, he’ll smile for the rest of the day.

@oilivia Oikawa. Liv deserves the best and who is Oikawa if he doesn’t provide? Their relationship is super fun, he’d listen to her playlists and playfully tease her a bit but it’s all in good fun. (He makes sure not to go too far and cross a line) the type of relationship where they both bicker playfully, but also have really deep convos. They also balance each other out and help each other to either break out of their shell or relax and just focus on the present. Communication between them is amazing, they make it look so easy. Both of them are able to confide in the other knowing it’s a safe space and there will be no judgement. Oikawa also loves to fluster her in public by calling her cute pet names.

@bakugohoex Jean Kirschtein, they’re able to be independent but also comes together. The best friends before being lovers type of thing. Ria is amazing and Jean would be there to hang out with her and makes sure to call her beautiful everyday. He adores the little domestic moments the most and would love hearing about her day and would check in throughout the day with ‘Hey baby how are you doing?’ Attentive and he’s a very good listener. They’d both work so well together! He seems like the type to theorize movies and so they’d both exchange their own and see who’s closer to what’s actually going on.

Loves holding their hand and would smile softly whenever he sees her. They’d definitely have a cuddling playlist and he’d show them he loves them through small actions

@m-mortimer Christa and Ymir 100%. Izzie has such a big heart and I feel like she’d fit into this dynamic so well! They’d both take care of her, Ymir has strong mommy dom energy and would make sure both her girls are doing well. They would all live the cottage core lesbian dream I guarantee you. The most interesting and fun relationship ever, Venus is a goddess and is so kind/compassionate Toji would start out being like ‘I have no intention of falling in love’ and then before he knows it he’s in love. Would protect her no matter what, they would have amazing stories. Their life would be like a movie. He’d hold her and in the soft moments tell her how much he loves her and how he feels complete with them together. He’s the type to use action instead of words so if he sees her sad? He’s off to get ice cream and put on her favorite comfort movie. Whether it be walking around or just chilling both of them would just like the time they spend together. Every time Takemichi sees her he instantly perks up and has a cute smile on his face. Their relationship holds solid communication and trust.

@cupcake-rogue Bakugou Katsuki without question. King of making sure Star is taken care of and has a soft spot for her. Everybody makes fun of him for it, but he doesn’t care. Star would mean the world to him and knowing that he comes home to see her face would relax him and keep him calm. A big part of why she moved to a different family house is to get away from her mother

I suppose one flaw of hers is that she can be too mean sometimes, sure shes sarcastic, but sometimes its too much and she ends up hurting people

When shes angry its not a pretty sight, and i feel like she got that from her mother

I like selective mute slayer the most... nonverbal communication most of the time, his body language/expression vega gradually eases into learning, then for longform communication its typing into vega’s console, morse code into vega’s palm (<3) or sign language.  the few times he speaks is very curt and short, maybe just quick affirmation from vega for whatever (kisses <3) and the gayest reason of all... so he can say vega’s name tenderly 

lots of hobbies, which is more or less canon, but it's cute to think about... particularly his cooking magazines make me think he would be a good cook in a umm domestic au... but I like that he enjoys many creative things also like reading/writing/music, in addition to a scientific/engineering bg, hes kind of like... full package husband material

I dont have a ton of slayer hcs... I think hes mostly introverted, more into his hobbies, cultured... I think my only self-indulgent not canon compliant hc is he gets embarrassed easy and pretty expressive but has rbf.  hes like the shy boyfriend in the “excuse me he said no pickle” meme with vega

vega for drawing purposes I like to make an android, tho in a fic im more inclined to regular AI vega especially in character studies and introspective writing... there's something a lot more poignant about vega reminiscing about almost being shut down while not assuming any kind of physical form... idk im just talking about what I like on a scale bc I love tons of vega interpretation

android vega:  I like to imagine an android body was created for vega per samuel’s instruction a little bit after vega became operational... kind of like a flex to match with uac creating the first cyborg body as well.  since samuel is a bit of a dick to his dad he doesnt make him w maykr proportions in mind and instead vega is given a very average human male body: about six feet tall, gentle (fatherly -_-) disposition, dark hair and brown skin, unnatural blue eyes... I think this would be good for vega to “blend” into the personnel, build camaraderie w him, though I think samuel would pull the plug on it in the long run for reasons my brain can’t put together atm lol.  this kind of self-indulgent but I like vega’s “virtual age” being 50 bc he’s samuel’s dad, and I like vega w a completely average body but thin waist like a maykr... which is a subconscious decision by samuel bc hes more accustomed to makyr bodies... but I am also just a bastard that wants thin waist dilf vega

this is maybe a reach of the fortress’s resources but I think the slayer could manage to build the same body for vega he had on the base if vega gave him the materials and instructions for it... just like a project, nothing exactly urgent, vega’s body slowly being worked on until completion.  but then... the slayer finds himself a bit attached because vega is like 100x more pleasant and soothing when he can see vega smiling at him.  im corny

I also like vega being a bit catty and passive-aggressive, but in his customer service voice.  he’s definitely not a doormat as an AI, and hes a lot more direct as umm god.  god vega I like aesthetically (SO MUCH) but I think I will hold back on my interpretation till ancient gods.  even his visual design I know will be probably significantly different from that 6-wing maykr angel concept art (if hes shown at all) but I like the aesthetic of it and will probably keep that if no canon physical body for vega is shown...

very slow burn... mostly on vega’s part, but I like the almost innate way the slayer is more friendly/gentle with vega and his upgrade bots, so I think the slayer is sweet on vega

vega wondering about why the slayer chose to back him up is always a fave... and ik its not the exact reason for why dg is back in urdak but I like thinking about him going back for vega or at least I hope they make it a point in the dlc that dg is looking for vega amidst all the chaos... it would really cement their relationship together and would be so good for vega as not being seen as a tool to be thrown away (god stuff aside).  like he’s the slayer’s partner and not just an assistant or something like that

its canon that the slayer has ptsd so I think vega (in an android/robot body) can help him through episodes/nightmares... and this is pretty corny and self-indulgent but I think vega’s touch calms him bc of like... god reasons... and vega is not really sure why it feels so right to hold the slayer and comfort him but its god reasons

slayer also likes to hold android vega and his arms wrap around him easy, and vega is flush against his chest (<3) I like to imagine this after some kind of... very heartfelt “thank you” or confession from vega.  I also really like the idea of vega confessing his feelings first I think because he would have to also deal with thinking his “feelings” are real or not since he’s AI and not human and all of those schlocky sci-fi romance tropes

then theres the slayer x father vega dynamic im speculating a little about but want to wait till ancient gods to see... it seems like the slayer is vega’s right hand this time which is so exciting for them... it adds so much more versatility to their dynamic

A/N: 3124 words. Super AU version of BoRhap being filmed in the fic. There’s gonna be another part, that will fill the prompts better. This might end up being a series. I hope you enjoy. Feedback would be nice.

When your manager rings you, telling you that you’d landed a part in the Queen Biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, you were elated. Freddie Mercury was a bit of a personal hero of yours, and to be a part of his story on the big screen, it was sort of a dream come true. 

In your first meeting, you sign a nondisclosure agreement, and you’re given the latest draft of the script to start learning, as well as a character brief. The script calls your character ‘Amanda’, the girlfriend of Roger Taylor who he eventually realises he wants to settle down with. You’d seen pictures of young Roger Taylor, you wouldn’t lie, you were excited for the role. Honestly, even today he was still quite a fox.

The point is, you were excited to have a fun time on set with a pretty blonde, make some new connections, and earn some good money. Some really good money.

The other shoe drops when you’re flicking through Instagram, and one of the stan accounts you follow has posted a leaked screenshot of the proposed cast list, and there’s your name, right beside the name of the last person you wanted to pretend to be in love with. Ben Hardy; pretty blonde extraordinaire, and your ex-boyfriend.

The table read is... awkward. 

The two of you are sat next to each other, and barely spoke two words to each other. You feel unprofessional the whole time, but you’d rather be anywhere else in the world, and the delivery of some of your lines falls a little flat. The director casts a concerned look between yourself and Ben as you rattle of what’s meant to be banter like you’re reading the news paper.

“They’ve got no damn chemistry; it’s like watching a celebrity divorce hearing.” When the Director vents to one of the producers in the hall outside after the reading, you manage to catch it where you’re just about to come out of the bathroom.

“They’ll be better on set, I promise, it’s just jitters.” She tries to soothe his nerves, and they’re off soon after, and you’re left with a cold, sinking sensation in your stomach.

“You’re Y/N, aren’t you? How are you finding the set?” The guy who greets you on your first day on the Eastenders set smiles with such casual ease it feels like you’ve known him for a while, instead of having just met him.

“Yeah, that’s me.” You agree with a quick nod, rocking back on your heels as you gaze around the space, trying not to look at him for too long. “It’s a bit overwhelming.” Actually, what’s overwhelming is that he’s talking to you. He’s Ben fucking Hardy, pretty-boy on the soap-opera scene, and he’s talking to you on your first day.

“Yeah, you’ll be right though; if you need any help or anything, just give us a yell, yeah?” And you realise he probably doesn’t know who you’re playing, or how you’re involved in that Season’s arc, but you certainly did.

“I didn’t know you could play drums.” You’re trying to be casual when you say it, but you see Ben tense where he’s sitting on a sofa in the rehearsal room, script and pencil in hand.

“I can now, that’s all that really matters.” He’s giving off such strong ‘please leave me alone’ vibes that it almost hurts, and you have to push through the knot in your stomach and sit down next to him.

“Ben, we need to at least be civil.” You say quietly, and he looks at you, expression a little forlorn.

“Y/N, we are civil, and we’ve done this before. Let’s just keep it professional, okay?” His tone leaves little room for argument, and you nod in agreement with a small smile, and pull out your phone, waiting for the rehearsal director.

“Hey there, baby, I don’t think I’ve seen you around here; I know I’d recognise your face.” You purr, running your hand delicately over the collar of Ben’s shirt, as his eyes widened and he spluttered to form a sentence, just as the script had told him to. 

Your character was more a plot device than anything, when Ben’s character is at a low point, his main romance is on a break, and he meets you, a temptress in all black. Your job is to give his character a realisation, he starts as your cocaine dealer when his supplier can’t make the drop, and he falls for you. Depending on the audience reaction, you knew the producers were waiting to see if they kill you off or have you recover from your addiction. The point is, your fate’s uncertain at the end of the Season, and Ben’s character realises he has to get out of the drug trade.

“I’ve got something for you, from Oskar. Can we go somewhere more private?” When he speaks, it’s with surprising confidence, and he steps up from the bar stool and into your space, smiling as your face lights up. The director calls cut after a moment, and you step back, smile sliding to something genuine as an assistant comes in and straightens your loose, black silk shirt, and they reset the shot for a new take.

“Ben, could you try less flustered? You’re here to deliver drugs, you’re not a schoolboy.” The director’s voice was kind as she came up to the two of you, and Ben agreed easily before she turned to you. “Great job, Y/N, don’t be afraid to be more even more forward, if you feel it.” As soon as you nod in understanding, she absconds, and you half laugh.

“If I was any more forward I’d be in your lap.” You snickered, voice quiet as you dipped your head to hide how you were faintly flustered. Ben was quiet, just watching you for a moment, but before you noticed, the director called for everyone to standby.

“I’m after Maggie, do you know where I could find her?” Ben starts as soon as the cameras start rolling, brow furrowed as he leans across the bar to speak to the bartender, and that’s your cue to enter the scene.

“Hey there, baby, I don’t think I’ve seen you around here; I know I’d recognise your face.” And when you say it this time, he smirks back at you, a little cocky, and you can feel the way it makes your heart flutter and you know it’s not as fake as it should be.

Before filming even starts, the producers have essentially forced you and Ben into bonding sessions which, if this were several years ago, would have just been dates. Now they’re awkward and tense, and you tend to bring heavily highlighted scripts.

“I saw you in that Wes Anderson movie last year. It was a really good performance, one of your best.” He offers over coffee. The idea that he’d kept up with enough of your work to label one ‘your best’ has you a little shocked, and something in your heart warms as you thank him softly.

It’s gotten easier to hang around with him, and it’s even easier to pretend to be in love with him in rehearsals. It’s like riding a bike, how easy it is to let yourself smile and lean into him, to let the banter flow easily between the two of you, fond jabs that edge on insulting coming as easily as breathing.

Joe mentions that he thought the two of you worked together before, and when you reply that you’d dated for almost a year, he goes very quiet, eyes going wide. After a beat, he admits it explains a lot.

“X-Men did you real dirty.” You’re half paying attention to an interview with Roger Taylor that the two of you had been instructed to watch together. You’re both in his trailer, sitting on opposite ends of the sofa as you watch in almost complete silence.

“What?” He asks, after a beat, your words having taken a moment to process.

“Killing you off like that; they could have gotten so much mileage out of your character.” The way you say it is far too well thought out to be an idle thought. Ben smirked.

“You just liked the leather pants.” He muttered, but you’re silence is answer enough. You know he sees your embarrassed smile, but you can’t bring yourself to deny it.

“Hey, do you wanna grab a drink after and go through notes and blocking and stuff?” You’re shooting your third episode, and you’re far more comfortable on set by now. Agreeing easily, you let Ben drive the two of you to what he claims is the best pub in town, and you sit in one of the more secluded booths to talk.

It turns out he’s just as much a fan of you as you are of him; you’re known more for your bit-parts in long-running series, it seems like the only show you hadn’t been a part of so far had been Eastenders, it was only a matter of time. It’s an innocent night, true to his word, all you do is talk, and discuss the script. There is one part of the upcoming script that has you a bit nervous. 

“Listen, honestly just go for it; it’s not meant to be sweet or anything, I’m literally taking coke from you.” You tell him, fidgeting, and he’s hums thoughtfully.

“You sure? We can talk to the director, I’m sure-” He offers, but you laugh to hide your nervousness.

“Nah, let’s knock it out of the park, the script says go for it so just go for it.” You assured him, heart rate already quickening at the mere thought of it. 

The next day, before the scene, the director comes over to talk you through it, making sure that if anything becomes uncomfortable, that you can talk to her. Both you and Ben assure her that it’s fine.

“You’re far too cute for this line of work.” You say as you hold a baggie of “cocaine” up to the light, smile playing on your lips.

“Cute? Ouch, you really know how to wound a man, you know.” He says, leaning back against the sofa in the hallway of the grubby hotel your character was staying in. He’s watching you with interest, small smile playing on his lips.

“Cute’s not a bad thing, baby, but you look like you should be making coffees or playing football in the sun, not here, not with me.” And you tap out a little of the powder onto your hand, pretending to snort it before you turn to him, his expression dark and hungry, and he kisses you, aggressive, almost desperate, and you lean into it, almost forget you’re playing a role with his hand on the back of your neck. When he lets go, when he pulls away, your eyes are still closed and you chase his lips for a moment. Eyes flickering open, you see him smirking down at you where he’s standing, and you both know it wasn’t entirely acting.

“You don’t know anything about me.” He growls, and you know you have to smile like you’re into it, like it’s a challenge, but instead, you duck your gaze, giving a small laugh and wiping at the nostril you’d just “snorted cocaine” through, before looking up at him through your eyelashes.

They call cut, and the director announces, almost a little awed, that she’s pretty sure they got the the take, actually says she’s not sure if she could getting a better take if they tried again. Ben seems far too pleased with himself. 

“They want us to tell the public we’re together.” You’re resting your head on Ben’s chest laying at the back of the tour-bus set, and his hand is resting on your waist, which is bare for the crop top and booty shorts they’ve put you in.

“Yeah, I heard.” He replies, voice equally quiet. “I think we’ve got a meeting about it tomorrow morning.” Gwil and Rami are actually playing scrabble at the front of the bus, and Joe is talking to Singer, the director.

“It’s a bad idea.” You’re so frank that you feel Ben freeze, and you heave a sigh. “It’s good for the movie, but Ben...” You trail off, and you feel it when he forces himself to relax. “It wouldn’t be real, it would just be weird.”

“Y/N, we’re actors.” He says very pointedly, and when you turn, resting your chin on his chest, he looks tired, a little exasperated. “It’s just a business deal.” He assured, and you let out a low, thoughtful grumble. 

“We’ll discuss it tomorrow.” You allow, and he nods once, shifting to a more comfortable position, and you go back to resting your head on his chest, eyes fluttering closed as Singer called for the shot to be reset and a bunch of people came and straightened your clothes, and touched up your makeup, all without you having to move much.

You agree to the terms set forth in the meeting easily, the story being that your relationship rekindled on set, and that you were now madly in love, mirroring the relationship you were portraying on screen.

“Wait, does that mean-?” Ben leans forward in his chair, with his heart in his throat as he followed their logic, thinking through the plot of the movie. “Like engaged?” He asked.

“Seems a bit fast.” You agreed, voice level enough that someone might mistake you for calm rather than internally freaking out, and your managers shared a look.

“There will be a public proposal during or after the world premiere, that’s up to you both, and after the movie is out on DVD, you can go your separate ways.” They assured, but your mouth fell open.

“You know he left me for X-Men, right?” You splutter, and Ben’s eyes widen as he turns to you with a scoff.

“You’re the one who said the distance was too much for us while I was in Cairo.” He snapped, and you threw your hands in the air.

“I was offering to come and stay with you instead, but you said you were too busy!” That was enough to shut him up, his mouth snapping closed as he turned away sharply, huffing out a resigned sigh.

“We have a few brands and restaurants who are interested in sponsoring, and the producers are willing to increase both your salaries if you go through with it for the full duration.” Your manager informed you both carefully, and you and Ben shared a resigned look.

“Fake intend to marry me for like three months?” He asked, voice low and bitter, and after heaving a long sigh, you look to your managers,

“Fine.”

“I think I love you.” Ben’s character shows up at your character’s door, and you open it in a silk robe. 

“Hello to you too.” You laughed, but he’s so serious, so sincere, and when he doesn’t flinch, doesn’t offer anything else, you step up to him, pressing your lips to his, and he wraps his arms around you, hands sliding against the silk over your hips, and you pull back.

“You’re too sweet for me, baby,” voice so low it’s barely a whisper, he’s the one who chases your lips this time, but your catch his chin, and his eyes open. 

“You’re high.” He says softly, voice raw and a little desperate.

“And you’re my dealer.” You push him back gently, going to close the door and his expression turns angry.

“That doesn’t mean anything; I love you, Maggie.” His words hang heavily in the air, but before you can respond, they call for cut. You’re told to play it more like it hurts to try and turn him down, and you agree, smiling and nodding all the while. Everyone sets up for another take and you close the door.

When you kiss him this time, his hands are holding your face, and you’ve got your arms around his neck, and it’s like the world falls away from around you. It’s not acting now, hasn’t been for weeks, almost months now, not since he’d asked you out officially. Every time you kiss him you’re desperate to drown in his embrace, and he kisses you like it’s just the two of you, no cameras, no scripts.

“You’re-” and he cuts you off with another quick kiss, which has you laughing a little sadly, “Peter you’re too sweet for me.” He rests his forehead against yours, heaving a sigh.

“I know you’re high.” He says gently, and you don’t push him away this time, just lean back, your finger lifting his chin.

“And you’re my dealer.” You tell him, expression falling.

“That doesn’t mean anything, that doesn’t matter; I love you.” And you know that in that moment, the words mean so much more than the script, than these characters, than the show; he loves you. Ben loves you.

You avoid him, outside of filming, until you actually get a call from your manager telling you you’re contractually obligated to be seen in public together at least once a week. Even while filming you’re short with him, and he’s quick to get away from you the moment he doesn’t need to be around you, which was getting to be pretty bad, seeing as how you had been blocking a sex scene.

After the call, you and Ben get a drink. It’s awkward at first, though that’s unsurprising. After a long sip of his beer, he pats his thighs where he’s sitting in the armchair across from you. You make a face at him, shaking your head. 

“It’ll look less suspicious than if we’re shouting at each other across the table.” He hissed, and you groaned, obliging and crossing to sit yourself in his lap. He’s warm and secure, and he wraps his arm around you like it’s second nature. “Let’s not make this weird.” He said gently, and you nod.

“As for tomorrow’s shoot,” you said softly, leaning in to make sure no-one else heard, and he nodded, humming softly, “we’re professionals, and,” after a beat you cleared your throat pointedly, “it’s not like we haven’t done it before.”

“Not in front of a camera crew we haven’t.” Ben says with a smirk, and you snicker in agreement. “It’s gonna go fine; this is all gonna go fine, I promise.” And when you raise your eyebrows at him in surprised question, he just laughs softly, and brings you in for a chaste kiss. “It’s only until the DVD’s released.” He assures you, and you let your expression fall, already weary.

“Ben, that’s over a year away.”

overall a gentle father figure who'd make sure that the kids are taken care of and brought back home safely at the end of the day

is a clumsy and stuttery mess as a daycare teacher, fussing about the rowdy kids and carrying their toys while telling them to settle down 

overall felix would jus be so frantic and messy as a daycare teacher and man the way he’d exhale tiredly during lunch and all the other teachers would note how tired he is. still a cutie.

Lilith & Caleb Vatore

Gave these two a little, and apparently much needed, makeover! I was never  too happy with how Lilith came out last time (Turns out the mouth slider I’ve started using is a life saver) But I really love this current version. Caleb got less attention but I still made very slight adjustments to his facial features to fit him more to my current style as well as a newer, tackier wardrobe. Also altered the proportions on both of them significantly! I hadn’t realized how much my styles changed, I was SO horrified when I went to make what I thought would be very tiny adjustments overall sfjldshg

Note: Caleb’s cat Basil has received no adjustments whatsoever, as she is already perfect

It’s gonna be a little while before I get back to posting about them here but I love them so much! So I wanna share some facts about my vatores:

Lilith was born at 11:53pm on October 28th, 1975. Caleb was born at 12:04am on the 29th. 

When they were a lot younger they used to insist on having separate birthday parties now its just a 2 day party for the both of them.

Both were turned August 13th, 1993 on a Friday evening

Around the time, Lilith was excited about college and moving out, while Caleb was anxious about “losing” his sister, as well as approaching adulthood and his lack of direction

Though Caleb’s a little more invested in it, they both love gardening.

They just recently made the move to Forgotten Hollow.

if you’ve listened to taz, you’ve prolly already heard of my brother, my brother and me (given that’s where taz started off) you might wanna try it!! obviously it isnt, like, a fictional podcast so that might not be for you BUT!! its fun. light-hearted and with familiar voices.  in case u havent heard what its about, basically they describe it as a comedy advice show - wheere they take sent in questions, and also yahoo answers questions, and give “advice” based off of them. its  the kind of thing i like to put on, on a low energy kinda day.  i would suggest, if u wanna listen to the back log, to start at the end and work backwards bc  (like many podcasts, truthfully) its kinda. blech in Many ways to begin with.

there’s, of course, lots of other podcasts done by the family too!! ive only listened to wonderful (the others never appealed that much) which is a very casual podcast where griffin and his wife talk about the things they find “wonderful” (it’s very cute, and rachel has the most soothing voice, so its Perfect bedtime material) however if u wanna explore the others theres a List on their site: https://www.themcelroy.family/pages/podcasts

OTHER ACTUAL PLAY PODCASTS

i havent listened to a lot of other actual play podcasts myself, but if ur interested in them !!! i have a like... a FEW suggestions. theyre not my forte, i will be honest- ive only listened to two of them, and i didnt finish neither (though that wasn’t the fault of the podcasts, but other personal stuff - mostly my focus, as they demand a little more attention)

something i would say, if ur  considering them, is that taz is definitely a lot more lax when it comes to gameplay and so like. BE PREPARED FOR PPL ACTUALLY ODFJODDFOJ PLAYING GAMES AND DROLLING DICE A LOT, which might sound obvious but Listen. its something i think should still come with some Fair warning, because ik i personally listened to taz more for the story. ofc if u Like the gamestuf, then these will deffo be fine for you (you might even like em More) but !! if thats not the case, sometimes gameplay can be too intrusive its like ehhh. yknow. a preference thing.

1. friends at the tableif ur a taz fan, and ur looking for other actual play stuff, i am LEGALLY obligated to suggest friends at the table. griffin is a big fan of it himself, and recommends it - and im pretty sure, he also took a lot of inspo from it. ive personally only  listened to season 1, and part of season 2, but i did enjoy both very much!! however, despite its Influence, it is very different taz. although they do split the party up (and then alternate between  povs, per episode) most of the time, they have WAY more players than taz.

structurally.... it might seem a little complicated!! in the same way that it might be confusing to others, how taz skips about after balance ended. but basically they alternate between storylines each season, just to mix things up-

season 1: winter in hieronseason 2: counter/weightseason 3: marieldaseason 4: autumn in hieronseason 6: twilight mirageseason 5: spring in hieron(yes the last two... come in that order. and i am Sorry about it.)

seasons 1, 4 and 5 are related, of course! these seasons are VERY fantasy based. they explore the same cast of characters, and continue on from each other, and are set in the same world.meanwhile season 3 is related to seasons 1,4&5 but it’s a prequel! its set, like, a few hundred years before the events in hieron, in a city of marielda and as such it features an entirely diferent cast. you can absolutely listen to it by itself!!!!

seasons 2 and 6 are the scifi seasons!!! both seasons 2 and 6 are set in the same universe, however in the same way season 3 is diferent from 1,4,&5, both seasons 2 and 6 ... are totally unrelated! :3 im p sure twilight mirage... actually comes 30,000 years after season 2.

although i listened to it (and i can.. g into greater Detail about what its like if u want, but this post is LONG ENOUGH already tbh)  a LOT of people strongly suggest skipping season 1.  its very rough to begin with. there’s an episode or two that was releseaed between counterweight and marielda that  basically is a supercut of everything that happened during s1,, and that should be enough to catch you up.  (altho u could still Brave it like i did)

INSTEAD... there is an actual 15 minute long discussion done by austin and ali that does serve as an Introduction, and as a guide to where you might like to start. however if u dont wanna listen to that... i hear MOST ppl suggest marielda, or counterweight to begin with. the former is fantasy and the latter is scifi, as i said.

personally i eally wanna get into marielda - but i dont got the time. and i did listen to  countwrweight, tho i will warn you thats also slow to begin with, before they switch up their game system - and also... it is VERY lore dense!! i dropped it bc of my own focus issues, honestly (and again im crying i would go more intto that but!! this is a LONG post already).

2. critical rolethis is another podcast i had to drop bc of personal issues with focus! :3 however, i know a lot of fans of taz also like critical role. like fatt, cr has WAY more players than taz - around 7-8, if you dont count the dm. i havent listened to that much AT ALL of it bc i get mad overwhelmed by so many characters at once, but i will say that!! 1. all of the characters are VERY INTRIGUING from the introductions in epi 1 alone (i love them all, my god) and 2. i think all the players are actors & vas to some description so the voicework really is tremendous. the mcelroys are theatre kids, ofc, but like. chances are youve probably at least heard of something some of them have been in r might kno them already. most of them have done voices in popular anime  dubs, games, and cartoons. (like just takin a glance at the casts’ wikis its like... a long list of fuckin. jjba, fma, persona, teen titans, overwatch,, etc.M AND JUST way way way too much to even. go into) im prety sure theres also ??? video versions of a lot of episodes?? as they stream them but dont... QUOTE me on that.

others!!!i havent tried these myself so i know. literally nothing about them and i dont think. i could therefore speak fairly for them, given the fact. but! ive heard about them in passing from taz fans so i gotta suggest em:- the glass canon- hello from the magic tavern- campaign- dice, camera, action! (travis guest starred in an epi, once!)- not another dnd podcast

AUDIO DRAMAS

if ur into taz more for the storyline, then i do VERY much suggest !! takng a  look at more audio dramas. something i WILL say about many of these, because it’s an issue with honestly a LOT of podcasts is... they might have slow beginnings? one of the best and worst  things about podcasts is that theyre rarely big, well-funded productions and are instead smaller groups of people  just deciding to make something and so a lot of the time the beginnings of them can be rocky from bad quality or just experimental writing or whatever the case may be. so if sth is kinda eh to begin with, i would suggest to still try later episodes  

MY PERSONAL most favourites are:

wolf 359it ended a year ago (the series finale was last christmas, and it was like.. the only thing i actually cared about sd-pkdpoffdfpsdf) so im sorry that u cant be on, like... the new episode HYPE train babey! however the fact that its ended does mean that you’ll never have to wait on it. but wolf 359 is by far one of my favourite audio dramas. it does indeed suffer from a slow beginning, but real. after s1 its v good. it’s set on a space station called the u.s.s hephaestus, orbiting a star (wolf 359) 7.9 light years away from earth. it begins with four characters, however more are introduced as the series gos on - which... given the fact theyre stranded in their space station for the whole show, that makes each of the follwing entrances interesting to say the very least. in the beginning it deals mostly with a dysfunctional crew and ship,  as wwell as unnerving occurrences,  and dealing with conflict between them but as it progresses.... WELL, AS IT PROGREESSES, SHIT HITS THE FAN!!!! i cant say much as it spoils it but. despite the fact pretty much each and everycharacter is a god damn shithead to some degree, i love them all. with all my heart.

the penumbra podcastpenumbra is another podcast  i love to hell and back and ive got a healthy kill count for it. like, i’ve rec’d it to a few ppl who became fans and im like. hehe . :) basically penumbra... ALSO HAS AN INTERESTING STRCTURE!!! as it was very much explorative during is first season. it began as an anthology type of thing (where it alternated every arc, between the juno steel storyline and various oneshots)  before it transitioned, and now it basically has two main storylines that alternate arcs. you can listen to either, without listening to the other, but honestly i suggest both of them  it can?? prolly best be broken down into:

1. juno steel. juno steel is the story with the MOST episodes to its name. like i said it was already a recurring story from season 1. set way way in the future, it follows the story of a depressed disaster p.i (by the name of juno steel) on mars. if ur, like.. mad gay, then i Will say that its set in a future where gender/sexuality is very much one of those [shrug emojis] things so. gotta be honest. theres like... 1 canon  cishet character in the whole series (jun himself is nb&bi). however it is also a good series, even without that- an again, one of my faves for a reason. its got that perfect element of. kida fuckn weird and funny (its got my fave brand of humour, tbh)? but also Serious and  my GOD juno has the most beautiful voice in the world and his dramatic monologues.... to DIE for. i will also say! they did re-write the first episode - so start with the rewritten one, and not the old one. its way better

2. second citadel i will say i prefer juno steel but!! second citadel is also out here. giving us that HOT scalie content. second citadel is a fantasy based story, and jumps between the various characters of, well, the second citadel. it touches on various minorities, and their struggles (though if you’re someone who likes to Get Away from things, i promise it isnt to a suffocating degree) . most of the characters are knights who fight monsters. .. a...aand fuck monsters. they f. they f.....listen. its good i promise. but the.... sir damien.... monsterfucker

3. other oneshots??: like i said. in season 1 it very much alternated between juno steel and oneshot stories. personally...? im not... that much of a fan of them. there are three oneshots in total: home, shaken, an coyote of the painted plains. i avoided home for personal reasons, and shaken was kinda... ehhh. you can oviously try it if u want, but fyi u can totally skip em!!coyote of the painted plains is the only good one. its short, as its only one episode, but to summarise in two words: LESBIAN COWBOYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:3c

the magnus archivesi will admit ive only just started listening to tma, and when... i start listening to ghings i cAN GET VERY EXCITED HBUT!!!! its a GOOD podcast, babey. its an anthology-type series, but with a plot that becomes slowly apparent over time. jonathan sims is the head archivist of the magnus institute, and he’s basically documenting (with a tape recorder) people’s... Weird. encounters with the unknown. as mentioned, many of the stories seem disconnected at first, but patterns start to crop up as the mystery continues to unfold in th most. :o way. i havent listened to it all yet (im ony on season 2) but its VERY much already one of my favourites. one thing i will say about it though... it is a Horror podcast. they dont do anything like shitty jumpscares, but descriptions of gore are prevalent and if you arent good with insects or if you have trypophobia (obviously its an audio drama, but... there are some vivid descriptions) i might avoid it becsause those are . definitely triggers that i dont think are avoidable at all. there are other things that you migh need to be warned for, and im sorry i dont have a list but. if u need pointing to sth specific im sure many ppl in the tag would help u!!  

the bright sessionsi will be honst and say that ive dropped this a while back (however i know it’s concluded now - and it’ also getting a tv show, some day!! - so i might return to it!) though that was purely. from my own taste and opinion. so i know it might appeal to some and also? the concept is something i still die for every day. basically the bright sessions follows he therapy sessions of people with superpowers- dr bright is a specialist, who deals not only in helping her patients’ mental health, but also with how said mental health interacts with their abilities. for example, my fave  is a boy named caleb who’s an empath, and he feels everyone else’s emotions to an intense degree and this therapy sessions often explore him, and helping him get a better control of the anger, and other ovverwhelming feelings he’s so often overcme with. similarly there’s also sam, who suffers from anxiety and is thrown back in time every time she has a panic attack. IT ISNT AS HEAVY AS IT SOUNDS, and its actually. quite lovely, honestly!!! :3

girl in spacegirl in space is not as well known (... i have... seen like 2 pieces of fanart in my LIFE) but, despite the fact im a widdle behind, im still LOVE it. its another scifi show- and it follows the story of X, a girl who was the daughter of two scientists aboard a research mission. however both of her parents died, and so now she’s been kicking it in isolation for literal years, on a fucked up spaceship thats kinda falling apart.

eos 10eos 10 is like... you know the tv show scrubs? like if that was in space. its very light hearted and campy and FUN. it begins with doctor ryan dalias being stationed alongside doctor horace urvidian at eos 10. doctor ryan dalias’ job (despite being many years his junior) is to help him recover from alcohol problem and get him fit again for work. there’s also an alien called arule delatro leviathan the third (levi for short) who is a deposed prince, now dishwasher, and i stan his disaster ass to hell an back ad i gotta mention him bc. hes... perhaps an icon.

ars paradoxicai personally dropped this but i know a lot of ppl really love it!! it more sci-fi fun but this time Time Travelling sci fi fun. it sstarts off with doctor sally grissom who end up stranded in 1943 after an experiment goes awry and has to find he rway back home.

kings fall ami binged this one a few month ago, and baically... :3 sammy stevenson moves from “the big city” to a  sleepy, rural town called kings fall -except... whack shit keeps happening, vis a vis ghosts, and aliens, and other monsters. think a gravity falls kind of energy. the show is presented through a late-night radio station called kings fall am,  which sammy cohosts with long-time resident ben arnold. in the beginning there’ a very scully/mulder dynamic between sammy and ben but.... a it develops... Oh, You Know.

welcome to nightvaleokay. i LIKE?? will be so honest and say i have never listened to welcome to nightvale myself (?? guilty as charged??) but ?? ive got to fuckn. mention it because it did have a big influence on audio drama, and is probably one of the most well-known, and man  if you were on here in 2012/2013 you’ve probably already heard of it? again!! i really havent listened to it myelf but if you dont now, it’s a radio show, documenting a fictional town called nightvale which is best characterised by how surreal, strange, and often creepy it is - yet all of this is delivered in a mundane fashion. i say this now because many other podcasts when they start off (before they, like, eventually find their own kind of groove) can often resemble the nightvale kind of energy??? i know that the aforementioned wolf 359 and kings fall am have both been likened to it in the beginning (although both divert, and grow into better versions of themselves)  because many took inspo from the wtnv era

alice isnt deadthe nightvale creww went on to do a lot of other podcasts! alice isnt dead is another one i dropped (mostly, because i ound it hard to focus on) however despite being produced by the nightvale crew, it has a much... darker energy, in terms of tone, and is a lot more serious and perhaps more conventional in that it follows the narrator who took up the position as a truck driver, in an attempt to find her wife  (who has been presumed dead, for a long time). however its still got that Creepy kinda energy to it, and deals with a lot of the supernatural unknown

wooden overcoatsi started this and intend to continue it because it sounds so CHARMING  but i... I WIANT TO BE SO FUCKING HONEST WITH YOU. i put it down for a bit for the VERY trivial fact that i cannot stand listening to very thick british accents (my poor widdle ears) however!! its a fun comedy-drama about two rival funeral homes on a small island in the english channel. as  I SAID BEFOREHAND, its very charming?  it has a really refreshing kinda energy to it. i want to say, like, it sort of reminded me (the little i listened to) of pushing daisies in the sense that theres an Obvious rather grim subject matter at its core but its written so endearingly and its quirky in the Cute kinda way so im like!! fsoddpfjd sdvoididfand okay im. im sorry this is petering out now, but!!! i do have SEVERAL other podcasts here that i have heard of but?? dont know MUCH about them at all so i cant... REALLY tell you about them in depth!!!

7 Quick Self-Care Tips You Can Fit Into Even the Busiest Schedule

i’ve really got to work on shortening these titles. 

Welcome to Thursday, friends! We’ve almost made it through the week, so you may find yourself in need of some quick relief to the stress of your everyday routine -- or perhaps even those things which have not gone your way recently. 

Self-care is an important thing that many of us forgo in the interest of working, homework, taking care of children and family, or any of the other many obligations we face on a day-to-day basis. Self-care becomes even more important when we are stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or angry — and I’m sure there are a million other instances in which we need to prioritize self-care. 

Maybe a lot of the reason we let self-care opportunities pass us by is because we think it will be too time consuming; the thing is, self-care doesn’t have to be taking time out to get a mani-pedi or a massage or a facial. It doesn’t have to be finding a sitter to get some alone time. It doesn’t have to be taking a mental health day from work and using those precious paid-time-off hours. 

I’ve compiled a list of seven things you can do to take care of yourself without taking too much extra time in the day or forcing your schedule to come to a complete halt. Do yourself a favor — read the list, then pick one or two to focus on for the next week or month. Obviously this list isn’t going anywhere, so feel free to come back to it anytime, and don’t forget to share your favorite on-the-go self-care tips in the comments! 

Have a hot beverage. This seems so simple it’s silly, but I’m serious. Make yourself a cup of coffee or a cup of tea. My go-to lately has been hot chocolate. Don’t forget that hot lemon water in the mornings! Put it in a to-go cup and continue on about your day while you drink it, or do what my friend Ashley does and pour into your favorite mug, have a seat, and put that to-do list on the backburner for a few minutes. I’ll tell you a secret: the list will still be there when you’re done. Crazy, right! The warm, coziness of having your favorite warm beverage will help to calm your nerves and soothe the tension of the day — and you know, no one said you can’t add a little grown-up juice, right? A little Bailey’s in your coffee, a hot toddy. Although, if you’re driving, at work, or taking care of kids, you might want to save the grown-up juice for later. 

Give your face a little extra care. I know, we’re talking about things that don’t take that much time, but hear me out. You’ve got to wash your face at night or in the morning anyway, right? Instead of your usual routine, throw a mask in there. The beauty industry has a whole range of face masks for purchase, and there are some that are not all that expensive. I’ve done masks that have to stay on anywhere from five to twenty minutes, so it depends on how much extra time you want to use. A five minute mask could be a good slow down for a hectic morning, but a twenty-minute mask can set while you get the kids ready, choose your outfit, or get your lunch together. Or, if you work the mask into your nighttime routine, it’s a great day to just close your eyes, put on your favorite music, and unwind from the day. Personally, I really enjoy Feeling Beautiful masks, which come in a one/two time use packages, or in a tube just under five dollars which lasts forever. Or, if an overnight mask is your thing, try Bliss’s What A Melon Overnight Mask. No affiliations here, just making some suggestions for masks that make me feel calm and pretty. 

Get up, make up, show up. Personally, nothing makes me feel more at ease than knowing I’ve beat my own mental blocks. Getting out of bed when I’d rather sleep a little longer, putting on a cute outfit when I would rather just throw on jeans and a t-shirt, putting on a full face of makeup (for me, this is less than others) and going to work when I just want to stay home bare-faced — if I can conquer that, I know I can conquer the rest of my day. 

It’s just one thing. When you’ve got a long list of things to do but you’re overwhelmed, the first thing you need to do is prioritize those things. What absolutely needs to be done today, and what can be moved to tomorrow or later in the week, or even next week? Once you’ve moved out things that are not required to be completed today, look at what you have left, how they’re prioritized, and just do one thing at a time. Don’t think about the x-number of things that are on the list, think about the thing that’s highest priority. Do that, cross it off the list, then do the next thing. Rinse, repeat. We get so caught up in getting things done that we tend to overwhelm ourselves at time. The thing is, life is hard enough, and, some days, we just don’t need to make it any harder. Simplify your to-do list, and take it from there. 

Eat what makes you happy. This one, you have to be careful. If you’re overwhelmed every day for a month, having tacos every day for a month might not be the best idea. But every now and then, forget the diet/healthy eating lifestyle, and get you some tacos — or whatever it is that makes you happy. Take that little bit of pressure off yourself and eat what you want. You’ll be surprised at how much just that one less thing makes a difference! Bonus #5 Info: There are foods that might actually improve your mood and mindset, and keep you healthy! Bananas, berries, quinoa, dark chocolate, green tea, apples … there’s more on the list, but these are just a few that will help to improve your mood and are relatively healthy. Google “food that makes you happy” and you’ll find even more options! 

Ask for help. Perhaps one of the most difficult things to do! We’ve been trained to have it together, to get things done, and to not burden others with our problems. I’m here to tell you, asking for help does wonders for my anxiety/stress. It’s okay to share your load with others, as long as you’re not taking advantage of them. That’s why we have family, why we have friends — and it lets them know that when they’re the ones who are stressed/overwhelmed/whatever the case may be, they can come to us for a return on the favor. 

Rock out like there’s no tomorrow. There’s no denying the calming effect of music. Play it while you complete your cleaning for the day or on the way home from dropping your kids at school or while you finish your errands for the day. Sing-along, shamelessly, and without caring what anyone else thinks. You’re taking care of you, and that’s all that’s important in that moment.
