in which wooyoung loves when you travel with him
~ wooyoung x f!reader
~ fluff, established relationship / wc: 1k
~ warnings: mention of zombies, teasing (as per usual), kissing
~ note: I had this idea because I'm on vacation, and I wrote this during the 9-hour trip, I was super tired so I hope it's good enough.
You didn't expect your boyfriend to invite you when he told you he'll be traveling to Los Angeles with the whole group due to his work. Sure you traveled with them before but never ever overseas before, just here within the country, when they held a concert or filmed some content. It was quite out of the blue, but you can never say no to Wooyoung, you loved spending time with him whatever it was.
And now here you are early in the morning waiting for the boys in the airport alone. You couldn't come with them, it's better for the whole craziness that's out there to calm down before you meet up with them later, you're anxiety could never bare the shouting and camera flashing that's outside when the boys step out of their cars. You've always admired your boyfriend for how he deals with these situations, you can't imagine how can he stay so calm. It's just part of his life now.
It's crazy how different your lifestyles are, but at the same time, it's so similar. Yeah, I know, it doesn't make any sense, but it's basically your whole relationship with Wooyoung, nothing makes sense, but it's perfectly fine like this, sometimes it doesn't have to make sense, only your love for each other is important, it's just so real and so strong. You'll gonna figure out everything together, that's how you grow together and also grow your relationship.
You love to accompany your boyfriend when he works, just to see how happy he gets during it, how passionate he is when he stands on stage and does what he truly loves. The sparks in his eyes when he looks at atiny are just like the stars in the night sky.
"Good morning my little zombie" there he is, the love of your life. "Is this the walking dead or am I still dreaming?" like you didn't know how bad you look in the morning, especially at this early hour.
"Really funny, Wooyoung..." you said as you rolled your eyes, yeah maybe just maybe you're a bit grumpy in the morning, who doesn't, but as per usual Wooyoung always knows what to say, when he sees that you are not really in the mood for his jokes. He just knows you more than anyone, even your own self, it's a bit scary.
"Don't worry babe, you're the most beautiful zombie I've ever seen" he said as he placed a welcome kiss on you're lips.
"If you're not careful enough I might eat your brain" you like to go with his jokes, you are not the type of person who can't joke about herself or takes everything seriously. You don't really understand how can he always light your mood up, like boy calm down, a person shouldn't be this happy this early, you should be asleep right now.
"I'm glad you're here, I always loved working a little more when I know you're watching me, it's just a boost of energy for me" he told you as he held your hands to help you get up. "Come on, we should check in, the boys are waiting"
-
Only 30 minutes in the flight and you are already sleeping, you just need a plus hour of sleep, and you're gonna be okay, you need at least 9 hours of sleep to feel alive usually. But on the other hand, Wooyoung has been bored the whole time and we all know what happens when this boy doesn't have anything or anyone to entertain himself with, he gets more annoying than usual, and his mind comes up with the worst ideas ever.
That's why right now he is on the mission to wake you up somehow. Although Seonghwa across from you in the other row had noticed this and worriedly signaled Wooyoung not to do it because he knows how bad this can turn out. He is the sweetest guy, he wants the best for everyone. He can relate to your pain as he is most of the time the victim of your boyfriend's teasing.
But Woo is already caressing your thigh, you actually were pretty used to this already, so it didn't really bother you, it kinda relaxed you even more. But the problem started when he started kissing your cheeks, then your ears, then he moved even lower and reached your neck. Your eyes suddenly opened wide, you were confused about what was happening.
"Babe, what are you doing?" he just continued it even more roughly when he realized you were finally awake. "Wooyoung, stop it anyone can see us, we are on a good damn plane."
"But you are so beautiful, I want to kiss every part of you." he barely stopped kissing you between every word. You tried to push him off of you, it was the most painful thing ever, your heart was aching.
"Baby, I'm serious, you can kiss me whenever you want, but only when there are just the two of us." You weren't really a shy person at all, especially you were pretty open about your love for Wooyoung, everybody who knew about your relationship knew how touchy you guys can get with each other, but you preferred to do this stuffs behind closed doors, because it's an intimate moment, and it's nobody else's business.
"I'll stop it, but meet me in the bathroom in 5 minutes." He stared deadly in your eyes as he bit his lips. "And don't even try to hang me there."
And with that, he stood up and went straight to the bathroom. You knew you were in trouble, in big trouble. To be honest you didn't even want to say no to him in the first place. So you waited a little bit, just to not be so obvious, and went after your boyfriend. It's a pretty long flight nobody's gonna notice that you guys weren't there.
As you arrived there, you took a big breath, you didn't even know why you are nervous. You knocked on the door and it immediately flung open. You didn't even have time to process what happens when he dragged you into the small area.
Yeah at least you killed time and nobody was bored anymore.

hello! japanese learner anon here ^^
how are you? how are things?
things are okay on my end. i’m kind of contemplating quitting japanese lessons because i’m burnt out. my sensei has this tendency to rarely praise or compliment someone for their efforts in learning japanese. unless you eat sleep and breathe japanese, then you’re not really putting the effort. he mad a jab about me in the groupchat and i’m honestly too tired to respond.
since march, i’ve been waking up very early (i’m unemployed) to study vocabulary. i now review 16 lessons worth of vocabulary for two hours, work on some home work in the afternoon for two hours more and use japatalk twice a week to speak to native japanese people. i have difficulties with listening (audios are way too fast) and sentence creation but i consider myself to be very good! especially when we’re asked why a particle is added here. i’ve also improved my reading and translation skills and im very happy with my achievements in japanese these year. even when i started becoming burnt out last month, i still pushed through.
however, we took a midterm two weeks ago and i got a 56/100 and i was in total disbelief. it’s like i didn’t study or learning anything at all! sensei said he intentionally made it very difficult for us and wanted it to be challenging and he said the reason why my score is so low is because of the listening portion. okay true but i’d understand more of i scored around the 70s not 50s like??
i wish i could enroll with another teacher but he’s the only one that i know of that teaches japanese in great detail and can explain it in arabic (my native language) and english. plus, i spent a lot of money and effort to just give up.
sorry this turned into a rant but i feel like you’re the only one who gets me 🥺
Hi there!
I've been good! I have a busy week ahead of me because my parents are going on vacation tomorrow (guess who gets to drive them to the airport at 2.30 in the morning...) but I'm going to a concert soon and going on vacation next month so I'm super excited about those things!!
First things first, I'm so sorry you're having to deal with a shitty teacher like that. Not sure why someone like that is a teacher when they're clearly not fit for the job...
I'm not sure if you're just considering quitting your Japanese classes or studying in general, but I definitely think that if the class and teacher aren't for you, then forcing yourself to suffer through it isn't the solution. You can keep studying on your own though, and based on what you're saying here, I've got a few tips for you that might help you:
First of all, you're spending too much time reviewing vocab. I used to be just like that and it wasn't as helpful as I thought it was and kept me from progressing better and faster. For a long time, all I did was learn vocab and grammar, without ever using it for anything by reading, etc. The thing is - there is only so much input your brain can handle and two hours is way too much.
Instead, I recommend reducing that time to maybe 15 minutes and using the rest of those 2 hours doing other things like reading. Doing something like comprehensible input (meaning you understand 80-90% already) is super helpful because you can either use this to learn new vocab/grammar without it being too much, or you can just consume content without looking up what you don't understand because most of the time, you can just fill in the blanks from context.
I used to watch a lot of crime shows when I was younger and whenever they would talk about medicine/science, I wouldn't understand shit but I still got the point and was able to enjoy the story. So doing comprehensible input or even consuming content "below" your level - meaning you understand pretty much everything - is a great way to just get used to seeing vocab and grammar in context and get used to sentence patterns without it feeling like studying.
Aside from the fact that you're gonna feel less burnt out by spending less time doing pure studying, what's really good is that you mentioned what you struggle with. Identifying your weak points is the first step in improving in those areas. So if you don't struggle so much with vocab, but more with listening, then focus more on the listening part.
Here are a few of my favorite YouTube channels that I highly recommend you use for practicing your listening. These channels are all made for Japanese learners so they're not too fast or difficult:
Comprehensible Japanese: Yuki talks about all kinds of topics and uses a whiteboard to draw while talking to visualize what is being said. She also repeats words and uses synonyms. The channel has three playlists that categorize the videos into difficulty levels from complete beginner to intermediate. I recommend watching ALL the videos. Again, you don't have to learn anything new here, this is all about practicing your listening.
あかね的日本語教室: Akane is a Japanese teacher who makes videos that are aimed at intermediate and above students, but even if you don't understand everything, just getting used to hearing the language and trying to pick up as many words as possible is a great practice.
Japanese with Shun: There are videos and podcasts that are for beginner to intermediate learners. A lot of videos also mention in the description which JLPT level they correspond with so you can choose a video that matches your current level.
しのせんせい: This channel has two main video formats: 'Daily News in Simple Japanese' and 'Learn Japanese Through Story' - all the videos have text on the screen and some vocab listed. What I recommend here is to listen to the video once without reading the text. Then watch again this time reading the text and looking up any words you don't know. Then watch again and see how much you can pick up now.
Aside from listening, you also mentioned that you struggle with creating sentences. Input (listening and reading) will help you a lot with this already because exposing yourself to sentence patterns, etc. will help you to easily memorize them. But I have two tips for improving on this through output:
Shadowing: This means listening to native material and repeating what you hear. You can also use the above-mentioned YouTube channels for this. Since those channels are beginner friendly, they are spoken slowly and have lots of pauses, giving you enough time to repeat what you heard without missing the next sentence. The last channel I recommend is especially good for this since the text is on the screen so instead of having to focus on listening + repeating, you just have to read + repeat. Speaking is all about muscle memory, which is why shadowing is a good way to get your mouth used to speaking Japanese. It can also help you memorize vocab, sentence patterns, etc. so it's a win-win situation.
Journaling: This doesn't have to be fancy. Just writing a couple of sentences in Japanese every day can go a long way. There are a few options for you here: you can use a physical journal, an app that lets you journal/take notes, or an app where a native speaker and correct you (i.e. HelloTalk). I especially recommend the last option because that way, you won't just keep making the same mistakes without knowing. The best way to do this is to have a separate notebook where you write down the mistakes you have made and their corrections. Go over those at the end of the week to see what you struggle with. Is there grammar or vocab you're using incorrectly? If so, go over those grammar points or words again. Keeping a daily journal is really helpful. Even if your sentences may seem plain and repetitive to you, you'll quickly memorize basic sentence patterns and build up on those over time. And remember - it doesn't have to be perfect, it's okay to make mistakes! People have a tendency to try and be perfect, but to tell you the truth, native speakers make mistakes too! And with English, I honestly... stopped caring. If I make a mistake, so be it. Language is there to communicate your thoughts, so as long as you can get the point across, who cares? So don't feel discouraged if you made a mistake or couldn't 100% accurately say what you wanted to say. A little is more than nothing.
I know the language learning process can be a struggle. And having a teacher that does nothing but discourages you isn't helping. But just think about the fact that there was a time when you didn't know any Japanese and now you can already speak to Japanese people so you clearly have a foundation already and the ability to progress.
Like I said, I used to also do more studying than anything else, but I made far more and better progress since moving away from actively studying (but still doing some reviews) and focusing more on just surrounding myself with the language and enjoying the process.
While I do still review vocab, for the most part, I just look up words I don't know whenever I come across them. It can be a bit frustrating to keep coming across the same word and not be able to recall its meaning even though you know you've looked it up several times already and as soon as you do look it up you just roll your eyes because 'DUH, I knew that!' but as frustrating as that is, it feels so accomplishing once you finally don't have to look it up anymore because you managed to remember it. Repeatedly exposing yourself is often more successful than trying to just drill it into your head.
The bottom line is that what helped me the most was to recognize what didn't work and then change up my routine. A different approach is often the best solution. I constantly change up my routine now to ensure I still have fun and because there are always new ways for me to improve my Japanese.
Always ask yourself: What doesn't work? What do I not enjoy? And then find ways to change those parts and keep the parts that do work.
There are a lot more resources and methods, but these were just some tips based on what you've said you struggle with so I hope this helps you a little bit.
Just know that you definitely don't have to stay in that class and can just self-study instead. There are always gonna be moments where you might not enjoy it as much, but it is so worth it because whenever you notice your progress, it feels so rewarding and that will motivate you to keep going. It's also a great reminder to yourself that you can improve your skills so you will be able to improve even more in the future.
Anyway, I understand your struggle and hope things will get better for you.
And definitely keep me updated! You got this!!
頑張って!

Hi! idk if you're still taking prompts but can you do one where klaus and caroline are coworker's who are always getting into heated screaming matches during team meetings and everyone who works with them is just used to it, but the new girl is like wtf??? and then later finds out that they're actually married and don't hate each other?? thanks!! your writing gives me life
Obviously I could not resist fluff day! For Step Two of @klarolineshippersclub 12KCXmas event!
With Friends Like These
The office is deserted – its 7 PM on a Friday – so Caroline’sstartled by the sound she hears coming from the hall. It’s a staccato series oftaps. Heels, eating up the distance quickly, and she rolls her chair back, grabbing her phone from the corner of the desk just in case someone’s bleeding.
She’s about to go and see what’s happening, when Kat barrelsin. Her eyes are wide with what Caroline suspects is glee, her hair a wildwindblown mass of curls. Her jackets only half buttoned and she tosses asideher purse, rushing towards Caroline. “You will not believe what I just heard!”
Caroline lets herself be shaken, taking another confusedlook at Kat’s dishevelment. “Did you run from the bar? Thought you were goingto try to seduce the new guy.”
Katherine looks offended. “Try? Please. Mason’s a sure bet. He’ll keep until next week.”
“Wow,” Caroline drawls. “Something came up that’s kept youfrom guaranteed sex? Must be big.”
Katherine lets go of her, tossing her hair over her shoulderand letting out an irritated huff. “Yeah, yeah, mock me. We don’t all get to scheduleregular freaky married sex.”
It takes a fair amount of willpower not to tear her eyesaway and Caroline lifts her chin stubbornly. Katherine might know far too many details about her and Klaus’ sex life butthat was only because Caroline gets a little over share-y when tequila’sinvolved in a girl’s night out. Klaus is shameless enough not to care, evenwhen Kat’s comments get overly pointed. If anything, he leans into it, lets hishands linger and does his best to make Caroline blush. Caroline is working onbuilding up the same aplomb in the face of Kat’s suggestive smirks and taunts.
“You seem to do just fine in the freaky sex department,” shesnipes back.
Katherine grins, slow and very pleased with herself. “Ireally do.”
Caroline groans, walking over to the couch that lines onewall of her office. “I do not want to have this conversation with you.”
Her dry spell is hours away from ending and she’s really looking forward to it.
Klaus has been gone for ten days, dealing with inspectionsfor the new hotel the company is opening in London. Caroline’s team is busy puttingtogether room concepts so she hadn’t been able to justify taking the time awayto accompany him.
She likes phone sex as much as the next girl whose husbandhas a hot accent but it got old after a few days. She misses having a warm bodyto roll into at night; the way he wakes he scrapes his morning beard againsther shoulder when she grumbles about the alarm.
“Someone’s cranky!” Katherine sings. She circles Caroline’sdesk, helping herself to the bourbon that’s stashed in the lowest drawer. “Mynews might not help you.”
Oh joy.
Caroline slouches low, letting her legs flop ratherungracefully, “And yet, you rushed all the way back here to tell me about it?”
“It’s just too hilarious. I couldn’t not.”
Katherine’s sense of humor is a weird thing, an acquiredtaste, so Caroline braces herself. “Alright, hit me.”
“Uh uh. Let me set the scene.”
“And people say I’m dramatic.”
Kat ignores the complaint, lifting the bottle high. “There Iam, in the ladies room…”
“Taking off your panties so you could stuff them in Mason’spocket?”
“Please. Like you’ve never used that move.”
Caroline could honestly say she hadn’t (Klaus likes toremove her lingerie himself) but Katherine’s already continuing her tale. Sheperches on the edge of Caroline’s desk, wiggling in an effort to getcomfortable.
So it’s not going to be a short story. Caroline presses herlips together, holding in a sigh, glancing at the clock. She’s supposed to grabKlaus from the airport at eleven and she’d planned go home and change intosomething easier to remove beforehand. Hopefully Katherine can resist the urgeto embellish too extensively.
“I’m minding my own business, about to flush, when I hear afamiliar name.”
“Yours?”
“Nope, yours. Preceded and followed by some very colorfuldescriptors.” She pauses expectantly, eagerly watching for Caroline’s reaction.
Only to be disappointed when Caroline shrugs, emitting onlya dismissive, “Somehow I’ll survive.” The last time she’d really been overlyconcerned with other people liking her she’d owned pom poms.
Katherine, however, isn’t finished.
“Really? Even when I tell you that our little bathroomgossiper had very complimentary things to say about your hubs?”
Her hands curl into the couch’s cushions, a teeny flare ofjealousy flaring bright.
She’s an only child and she gets a little possessive, okay?Klaus is into it. He’s also no stranger to getting growly and shooting murdereyes and staking a claim and, since he’s got a bajillion siblings, he doesn’t evenhave the same justification for being bad at sharing.
Those incidents usually result in an immediate need forprivacy (or the reasonable facsimile found behind a locked office door or thebackseat of a car). The next day they’ll sleep in, there will be hickies on herthighs and scratches on his back, and they’ll eat dessert for breakfast.
Honestly, Caroline kind of loves that particular ritual, knows very well that Klaus does too.
“Not everyone thinks Klaus is awful,” Caroline points out.
“Because most people are dumb and lack my excellent taste.”
Caroline eyes the bottle, seriously considering chugging abit and just calling a cab when it’s time to collect Klaus. She really doesn’twant to be drunk for their reunion but, if Kat doesn’t hurry up and get to apoint, it might be her best option. “I love you so I’m going to ignore the factthat you kinda just called me dumb.”
Katherine scoffs, “You’re not dumb, just dickmatized.”
It’s probably a good thing she’s not drinking because shewould have choked. Caroline’s laugh sputters out, grows in volume, and she hasto cover her mouth when it becomes hard to control herself. Her eyes water alittle as she finally manages to stop giggling, “Yeah, I’m totally tellingKlaus that you said that. He’ll take it as a compliment.”
“Literally the only nice thing I’ll ever say about him isthat you’re far more bearable and less uptight than you used to be. I creditthe regular orgasms.”
She and Katherine had been hired at about the same time and,in the beginning, hadn’t gotten along overly well. Kat now headed The MikaelsonGroup’s marketing team, was a wizard at luring in celebs and influencers andmaking their hotels a coveted destination. Caroline had worked her way up torun a design team. It’s how she’d met Klaus (and they’d butted heads too in theearly days) coordinating with him and his architect minions.
“I, too, am a big fan,” Caroline admits. “Though, honestly, you should really give cuddling a try. Totally relaxing.”
“Ew, pass.”
It’s an argument they’ve had before.
“Anyway,” Katherine says, so loudly that Carolineinstinctively glances towards the door. “Back to my story. Greta Martin thinksyou should stop being a total bitch to Klaus in meetings. Oh, and she’s alsoplanning on banging him.”
Caroline sits up, now outraged. “I am not…”
Katherine cuts her off, “You have been a little snippy thisweek.”
Only because Klaus has been baiting her.
“That’s just how we are. He pokes, I prod. He’s annoyinglysmug, all ‘oh, aren’t I the cleverest?’ and I like to knock him down.”
“Verbal foreplay is your thing,” Katherine says, adding aknowing nod.
She throws her hands up, collapsing back again. “Exactly! Mymarriage is freaking great and if that…”
Again, she doesn’t get to work up to a proper rant. Superannoying.
“That’s the best part!” Katherine crows. “She has no ideayou and Klaus are married! Talk about dumb people.”
Well, that’s mollifying. Slightly. Caroline will just haveto make things clear. Plans begin to form. She discards the racier ones (unlessGreta proves to be unwilling to take a hint). She twists her wedding bandabsently, “How has she not noted the rings?”
“Forget the rings. How she hasn’t noted Klaus’ doofybesotted face whenever you walk into a room is the bigger issue. Maybe sheneeds glasses?”
Maybe Caroline will get her assistant to shoot Greta anemail detailing the company’s excellent insurance coverage on Monday.
She hears the bottle clink and she shakes off her mentallists, shooting Katherine a glare. “You know, it would have been easy for youto clear up her misconceptions in that bathroom.”
Kat’s brows rise and she shoots Caroline a look like she’ssaid something totally insane. “And deprive myself of prime workplace drama? Please. You know how bored I get on Wednesdays when I have to sit in those dumblegal meetings.”
Caroline’s displeasure must read on her face because Kattosses her a bright smile, leaning forward and offering the bottle. Her toneturns placating, “Oh, relax, Cupcake. It’s harmless. You’ll probably forget allabout this little snafu over the weekend.”
Caroline’s does have big plans.
“Maybe,” she allows grudgingly. She stands, straighteningher pencil skirt. “Speaking of, I should go home and make myself pretty.”
“You’re going to do that gross airport make out thing, aren’tyou?”
Caroline smiles, not trying to hide the slightly mockingedge to it. “Usually, yeah. But Elijah’s not a guy who tolerates a scene.”
She relishes the freezing of Katherine’s body, the wideningof her dark eyes. Her hand flexes, looking for the bottle that had recentlybeen clutched there.
Caroline withholds it, setting it down and out of reach.
She’s not entirely sure what had gone down at the Christmasparty last year (Katherine was way better at keeping secrets no matter how muchliquor was applied) but she knows Kat’s red lip had been rubbed off and Elijah’svest had been buttoned incorrectly when she and Klaus had met the odd couple atthe elevator bank.
Kat had twitched a little at the mention of Elijah’s nameever since.
She adopts her sweetest expression, “Maybe the legalmeetings will be more exciting when Elijah’s leading them in person, hmm?”
Katherine’s mouth opens. Closes. She wiggles her toes to gether heels back in place before hopping off the desk. “I need to…”
She doesn’t finish her sentence, stalking out of the office.Caroline watches her go, both satisfied and bursting with curiosity. A speechlessKatherine Pierce? Caroline never thought she’d see the day.
She makes a mental note to tell Klaus, to wheedle until heagrees to pump Elijah for info. She didn’t often get bored at work, not whenshe could just pop into Klaus’ office and poke around in his projects. But hehad another trip on his calendar next month.
She won’t turn down a little in office entertainment whilehe’s gone.

CH 2 First Mission
Owen was the first to wake up. He put on the standard Brotherhood jumpsuit before he woke Roger up. "Roger, come on wake up." Roger rolled over to look at Owen. "It's too early." "We can't be late. Dad will never give us a mission again if we're late." "We have an hour still...." "Don't you want breakfast before we go?" Roger groaned before sitting up. He also got dress in a jumpsuit but pinned his bangs to the side with black bobby pins. The two walked to the cafeteria together to get a quick breakfast before they went to the Observation deck. "Look Owen, mother is here." Roger whispered to Owen as they stood in the back. "She looks terrible." "Yea..." Owen swallowed the lump in his throat as he looked at Kimikyo. She looked as if she was having or recently had a panic attack, this caused some guilt to wash over Owen.
After hearing their father's speech the two rushed out with the others, hoping to avoid their mother. Paladin Flynn had met with the boys at the Airport. He looked like any standard soldier with a buzz cut hair style and well trained. "Alright you two, this is your first mission so listen and listen carefully. I don't take back talking, I don't take insubordination. If you don't want to listen just get back on that ship. I understand your mother, god have mercy, has babied you two since you were born. I don't expect this mission to be a success but I do have high hopes. Get your armor and let's move out!" Owen and Roger lingered for a moment before rushing to get their power armor. The two then met with Paladin Flynn who was waiting for them. "We'll be walking there. It's not far away." "Sir, permission to speak?" "Granted." Owen nodded to Flynn. "What exactly is our mission?" "I'm glad you asked. Elder Maxson is having us retrieve old world technology for Proctor Ingram and Quinlan. It's in an old library that only has a few ferals. Now let's move out."
The three walked silently for a few hours before Paladin Flynn spoke up. "What's your mother like? I've never properly met her but I was there the day she put Quinlan in his place." "She can be scary when she's angry." Roger looked at Owen before he added on. "But she's also caring." "She's simply a mom though I don't think the Brotherhood knows how to deal with her." Paladin Flynn couldn't help but laugh. "Well I think what she's doing is brilliant! Reminds me of Elder Lyons and what he did. He was a great man." The twins looked at each other then to Paladin Flynn. "The only thing that Lyons hated was Super Mutants. Nasty things they were but he helped everyone else without question even ghouls and synths, much like your mother." Owen hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Have you ever fought a super mutant?" "Oh, plenty of times but with the power armor you'll be fine." Flynn looked back at the boys before looking forwards once more. "You said the brotherhood doesn't know how to deal with her and you're right. There's talk among the soldiers about her. She's a mystery to us...she appeared one day out of no where. Elder Maxson said they were married and everyone had to accept that fact but no one accepted her until she brought him back from the dead."
Paladin Flynn stopped the boys, going silent before they could ask what he meant. "Gunners. They're just as bad as raiders but better organized. Stay low, only shoot if you need to." They quietly made their way around only to notice the gunners were at the library. "Shit. We'll have to return." "We can't, sir. There's only a small few. We can take them." Owen protested quietly to Flynn. Roger froze as he heard foot steps approach from behind. Before any of them could do anything the three were attacked. Paladin Flynn was knocked out and presumed dead while Owen and Roger entered a fire fight. The gunners quickly out numbered the two boys. In an unlikely move the gunners for once took prisoners due to the boys being well known even though they never left the airport. Many of the gunners were afraid to kill them, and the rest were expecting to be able to hold them for ransom.
The boys were ripped out of their power armor and tied up. Owen was looking around the building before speaking. "R-Release us!" "Now is that anyway to talk to us? After all we normally don't take prisoners." "Release us, please?" Roger asked though he wasn't hopeful. "Do you know who our father is?! He'll have a whole army here before you can even sneeze." The gunner leader walked over to Owen, punching the side of his head. "Shut up you runt. I don't care who your father is or what small army he might bring. You are on our turf." "Sir." An underling spoke up to their leader, visibly shaken. Roger looked at the underling going to speak before they carefully shook their head at him. Roger recognized the outfit as Kimikyo would tell them about this man. He wore a ten duster and dark green military hat. The man walked to the leader, whispering in his ear. "I've heard rumors that Maxson had twin sons. If that's true then it's highly likely they are them." The leader looked at the boys. "Tell me who's this father of yours." Roger looked at Owen, who was disoriented still from the punch. "E-Elder Maxson is our father. He's the leader of the Brotherhood of Steel." "And if you kill us then you're writing your own death wish." Owen smiled at the leader, only to get punch again. "Oh we won't kill you but we will beat you senselessly until daddy comes to rescue you."
True to the gunners words the boys were beaten until they began spitting up blood. They were thrown and locked in a small room. The man that had spoken out before snuck into the room. "Owen, Roger?" Roger looked up to see the man. "It really is you. You're Maccready right?" "Afraid so...your mom has helped me out a few times in the past." Roger smiled softly at him. "Mom's talked about you. She said you're the best gun-man in the whole Commonwealth. Why are you with the Gunners though?" Maccready looked away awkwardly. "I needed caps but don't worry I'm not with them, with them. Take these...they're not much but they'll help." Maccready handed Roger two stimpacks. "One for both of you. I can't stay here long but I'll check in from time to time to check in on you." He patted Roger's head before leaving. Roger used both stimpacks on Owen, who was unconscious at this point. Roger stayed next to his brother, laying Owen's head on this lap. "It'll be okay Owen...mama and papa will be here soon..." He closed his eyes, hoping he was right. Roger ended up falling asleep, unknowingly healing his internal wounds with magic.
By the time Paladin Flynn awoke it was already the next day. He was out of the power armor thanks to the gunners looting him. He slowly stood and checked his surroundings before making a run for the airport. Kimikyo noticed him running pass the building she was in. "Ha-Haylen...was...was that-?" "Yea...that was Paladin Flynn...he was with the boys yesterday...but where are they?" Both the girls rushed after him, moments after. He was in the Observation deck when they caught up. Maxson was pale as a ghost as Paladin Flynn had already told him the twins were taken by Gunners. "Eldress Kimikyo. I'm sorry I let this happen. We didn't expect gunners to be over running the library." Kimikyo looked at Flynn, fear in her eyes.
Arthur walked over to Kimikyo, placing his hand on her shoulder. "Let's go." The two left the Observation deck with Maxson following close behind Kimikyo. Instead of going to a vertibird, Kimikyo jumped off the side of the Prydwen. She fell freely towards the ground. Many people weren't aware of her magic or the fact she could transform after all it had been fifteen years since she's done any magic. Everyone who witnessed her jumped rushed over only to not see her but a giant dark purple dragon circle the Prydwen. Maxson had taken his turn, jumping off the Prydwen only to land on Kimikyo's back who was waiting just below. Haylen walked the flight deck sternly shouting. "Alright everyone, get back to work." Everyone erupted into question with each other and even Haylen. "So cool!" "I didn't know she could do that!" "Did you see Maxson? He looked like he's done that thousands of times." Haylen let out a sigh before Lancer-Captain Kells appeared. "Alright, back to work! You can talk about it tonight. I'm sure Eldress Kimikyo will be happy to answer any questions you have." Everyone went silent and went back to what they were doing prior. Kells turned to Haylen, nodding to her before going back to his job.
Kimikyo flew to the library, landing on the top of the building. This caused the whole area to shake, with debris falling. The gunners fell silent and still before the leader went to speak. "Alright get back-" Before he could finish Kimikyo had let out a mighty roar. "That didn't sound like a deathclaw." The gunners scrambled to get any and all weapons ready but this only gave Kimikyo and Maxson their opening to attack. Kimikyo raised her body up then slamming all her weight down, breaking through the ceiling. The gunners that didn't get hit with the falling ceiling stared up at her in horror. She crawled in through the hole, while an icy fog rolled from her mouth. She was furious. Maxson climbed off her back allowing her to turn into a smaller but still rather large dragon. "Where are my sons?" Maxson looked at the gunners who were all aimed at him. The leader gave him a smirk before speaking. "What sons? Can't say we keep any prisoners. We're more of a shoot on site." Kimikyo charged at the leader who stumbled back as he tried to run for it. She caught up to him though she didn't notice she was being shot. She pinned him done ready to rip him to shreds when Maxson shouted to her. "Don't. Not yet." He looked at the other Gunners. "Tell me where they are now or I won't stop her next time." The gunners began to whisper before the leader shouted. "Just kill them! They're nothing but a human and over sized lizard!"
The gunners began firing at both of them. "Arthur!" Kimikyo rushed over to him, wrapping herself around him and summoning a barrier of water. "Were you shot, love?" "I'm fine. Let's take care of these idiots then find our boys." Kimikyo nodded to him before dropping the barrier. Maxson began to fire at near by gunners while Kimikyo went on her rampage. She swiped at any gunners in her way as she made quick work of them. Maccready was with the boys as soon as he saw the dragon. "What's going on out there?" "I don't know but I think you might be getting rescued. Just stay quiet until everything calms down." Maccready peered out the door before grabbing a near by hunting riffle. "Keep this hidden."
It took almost an hour before everything went quiet. Maxson was injured but for the most part alright. Kimikyo walked over to him, worried. "Arthur are you okay?" "I'll be fine...was that all of them?" "I think so." Kimikyo looked around before freezing when she saw the leader holding Owen by the neck with a gun to his head. "Owen!" She went to charge but stopped. "Not one move or I'll shoot." Owen looked over to his parents, tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry dad..." "Don't be sorry, son. Where's your brother? Is he safe?" "Shut up!" The gunner gritted his teeth as he thought. It was short lived thanks to Roger and Maccready. Maccready had his sniper rifle aimed at the leader and Roger had the hunting rifle. They both shot at the same time with Maccready shooting the hand holding the gun and Roger shooting his leg out from under him. Owen took his chance and ran towards Maxson. The leader grabbed his gun off the floor, aiming at Owen. Maxson through himself in front of Owen, wrapping his arms around him as Kimikyo charged at the gunner, transforming back into her human form to grab at the gun. The gun went off causing the room to go silent. Kimikyo shifted away from the leader with blood on her clothes. She smiled at the two before turning back to the leader unloading the magazine into him. When she was out of bullets she proceeded to pistol whip the leader. Maxson had to pull her off the corpse to get her to stop. "Kimikyo! He's dead. He's dead, just stop." "No! They all deserve this! They hurt our sons!" "I know but they're safe now." He hugged her tightly, trying to calm her down. He looked at the corpse, it was nearly unrecognizable at this point.
Roger and Maccready walked over to them. Roger ran over to Owen, hugging him tightly. "Kimikyo." "M-Maccready?" She looked at him though he didn't look at her. "I'm sorry that you kids got caught up with the gunners." "Ma, Maccready helped us out..." Owen looked at Kimikyo, nodding to him. "Just...why are you here, Maccready?" "It's a long story but I needed caps..." Maxson walked over to Maccready holding his hand out to him. "Thank you for watching over my sons. If you ever need anything just ask." Maccready shook Maxson's hand. "I'll be sure to keep that in mind!" "Thank you!" Kimikyo hugged Maccready tightly before returning to Maxson's side. "I better get going. I'll reach out if I need help." At that he left. He took a moment to regain his composer before going back to the Third Rail.
Kimikyo ran over to the boys, hugging them tightly. "My loves, I'm so glad to see you are alive." Roger hugged her back however Owen remained still. The four walked out of the building with Owen and Roger noticing the new hole and ice crystals covering the place from Kimikyo's rampage. They walked back to the Prydwen. Everyone was quietly working when they walked into the airport. It wasn't until Kimikyo passed them did they start to whisper. The three boys went to Cade's with Maxson insisting they get examined first. Kimikyo walked over to Maxson, smiling at him softly as he placed his hand on her cheek. "You did great today." "Thank you."
It wasn't until later that night that the four of them were alone. Maxson had talked to Flynn about what happened long ago. They were on the observation deck, Kimikyo was nervously sitting off to the side. Owen was silent as Maxson spoke up. "Where should I start? The fact that you refused to listen to Paladin Flynn to leave right away or the fact all that tech was destroyed?" Maxson glanced at Kimikyo who quickly looked away. Owen looked at Kimikyo who was visibly shaking. "Father, permission to speak?" Maxson nodded to him. "Everything was my fault. I refused to leave because I didn't want to return to have you think we failed our first mission. I let my hubris cloud my judgement. I don't know how the technology was destroyed but I'm sure that was my fault as well. Knowing the gunners they knew why we were there and destroyed it." Owen bowed his head. "You didn't destroy it." Kimikyo spoke up though she didn't look his way. "I did." Owen and Roger looked at her with puzzled expressions. "All the same. It's good to hear you are aware you messed up, Owen, but this is why I don't send you on missions. Until you can learn to actually listen with out arguing back you are off missions and Roger, why didn't you help Flynn with your brother?" Roger remained silent for a moment. "B-because I too didn't want you to think of us as failures." "You're not failures and I will never think of you as such. You failed one mission. You will have plenty more in the future. One loss isn't the end of the world." Maxson let out a sigh at the sight of his sons look of defeat. "Today was the second time I was scared in my life. I thought we had lost you." "Second time?" Roger looked at Maxson curiously. "A story for another time."
Owen couldn't take his eyes off of Kimikyo. He noticed what injuries she had occurred on her face were now gone. "Mother." Kimikyo looked over to him her faint smile fading. "Mother...where...are your injuries?" She froze, paling in the face before looking at Maxson who nodded to her. "I...healed them." "Healed them?" Owen thought back on one of the books about the fairies he had read. "You're...not human are you?" She slowly stood up, hugging both of the boys tightly. "I want you to know how much I love both of you and I'm so very sorry..." She took a step back from them. "I'm not sure where to start but Owen you are correct....I'm...I mean the three of us...we're not fully human. We're part fae." Roger was shocked by her words however Owen always knew deep down inside of him that something was there. "Wh-what?!" Kimikyo looked at Roger. "I was born in La Tempo...the place from your books is real...and it's full of magic and wonder." She smiled gently to them. "When you boys were still babies we went there but...when we came back to the Commonwealth many raiders and gunners would attack us for my powers. Thinking if they killed me they would get it. To protect you both, your father and I.... well...really me, decided it be best you didn't know." With every word that came out of Kimikyo's mouth Roger grew angrier. "You...you lied to us?" "Only to protect you." "You betrayed us! You kept us from such a big piece of our lives and family that we have there?! What's next you're going to tell me we can transform into fairies?" Kimikyo hesitated at Roger's question. "N-no...you-you can transform but n-not a fairy. Roger pl-please calm down." "Calm down...calm down?! You, both of you lied to us! We're your sons and you....you betrayed us..." Roger began to tear up before running out of the room. "Roger!" Kimikyo went to chase him but Maxson stopped her. "Just let him calm down." Owen looked at Kimikyo. "So you were that dragon?" Kimikyo looked at him before slowly nodding to him. "Awesome. Are we dragons too? What kind of magic do we have? Can we go to La Tempo?" Owen was more excited then anything by this new found knowledge. "That's...It's a lot to explain and I'd rather you both be here for it." She gently patted his head before looking at Maxson who was also curious.
Kimikyo had stayed up most of the night worried about Roger as he never returned to them. She had ended up asking Teagan to look for him to make sure he was at least safe. Teagan searched the Prydwen and the airport at least three times before reporting back to her. "Eldress...I couldn't find him." "Wh-what?!" "I've search multiple times on the Prydwen and Airport, he's not here." Kimikyo fell to her knees, tears streaming down her face as she began to have a panic attack. Teagan kneeled down next to her, rubbing her back. "H-hey...we'll find him! He couldn't have gotten far. Maybe he's at Fort Strong or the beach." Kimikyo looked at Teagan before nodding. "Ri-right. Please go inform Maxson of this." She waited until he was gone to sit against the wall, silently sobbing. Proctor Quinlan had happened upon her. "Well aren't you a sad sack." "Proctor. Please leave me be." She looked away from him. He took his glasses off, cleaning them with a piece of clothe. "If it helps to know this I did see him talking to Owen before he disappeared. I must say those boys have grown on me." He put his glasses back on. "I hope this helps you, Eldress Maxson." She looked up at him. "You're human enough to show emotions and I've been informed how much technology and old world knowledge you buy off the caravans. You're at least following some of the Brotherhoods morals." He had left soon after, leaving her in a state of panic and now confusion.
After a few minutes over calming herself down, Kimikyo stood to go find Owen. He was with Knight-Captain Cade having his bandages changed. "Owen, did...do you know where Roger is?" Owen nodded but remained silent. "I can tell you he's safe and that he had someone in a vertibird take him but I promised him to not tell." Kimikyo sat next to him, nodding gently. "As long as he's safe. Thank you." "So when will you tell us more about everything?" "As soon as you're brother is back, we'll all go to the beach and I'll explain everything to you." She smiled at him.
Roger had long been at Danse's, not knowing where else to go. Danse was unsure of how to handle Roger's presence. "Roger. We have to at least let them know you're here." "Please you can't....They'll just come and drag me back." Danse sighed at the response before handing Roger a cup of tea. "I...I just don't know how to feel about it all right now. I'm sorry." Roger stared into the cup. Danse watched him for a moment before speaking. "You're a lot like her." "Wh-what?" "She would stare in her cups of tea all the time when she was in a hard place." Danse took a drink of his coffee as he sat in his chair. "She always told us a story about how you and dad saved her....I'm guessing you knew too?" "A lot of us knew but we promised her we wouldn't say anything." Roger fell silent for a long while, tearing up. "You know it pained her to keep it a secret because she loved her magic and her people but she gave it all up to protect you. She would often cry, longing for La Tempo. Arthur would even tell her you all could move there. I think she become numb to it after awhile." Danse cracked a smile, thinking back on one of his visits to La Tempo. "I remember one time before her and Arthur married, she was brewing potions with your aunts as some test or something. We happened to visit that day and were allowed to watch. She got so nervous because he was there that she nearly blew up the whole castle." He let out a chuckle. "We were all covered in soot and he first reaction was to clean. So what does she do?" He looked at Roger who shrugged. "She summoned rain clouds inside the room to clean us all off at once." "So?" Roger gave him a confusing look. "So as visitors Arthur and I didn't have any spare clothes." Roger thought for a moment before looking horrified. "Don't worry! Your aunt Azumiral luckily had spare clothes from your uncle and grandfather. But imagine the look on your mother's face when it hit her." Roger thought about it and how she normally acts around Maxson only to let out a small laugh. "I'm guessing she panicked more?" "That she did. The more she tried to help the worse it got for her. She tried drying him off only for her to trip and hit him with the basket that had towels in it. Then she tried baking." Roger shuddered as she use to try to bake on the Prydwen. "I'm so sorry." "Don't worry! Pheilo didn't allow her near the kitchen." "Who?" "I think she was the head maid. I'm still not sure."
Roger had spent the night at Danse's with Danse telling all kinds of stories to him. Roger listened carefully to him, clinging to each story only to cheer up more and more. "You want to know my favorite story about those two?" "What?" Danse smiled at Roger. "It was the day you two were born. You see the two were constantly fighting at the time for months prior. They ended up splitting up but would secretly meet up, hence how you two were made." Danse handed Roger a plate of food before making his own. "Well it turned out the night you two were made Maxson was abducted by the Institute." "No way! Dad?" "Mhm. We found out and your mother did everything in her power to save him but Azumiral and everyone else told her to stay put. Then one day we made our plan to rescue him. She set up five different strategies like a certain look a like of yours." "That explains him..." "However the day we planned the rescue was the day you two were born. It was a pretty exciting day. Azumiral and Kigra purposely made sure I was there to rescue him only so they could rub it in his face. When the two were reunited you both were already born. Maxson took one look at the three of you and fell in love with her all over again." "Why'd they start fighting?" Roger looked at him, confused. "That was because the synth. There was a synth made of Arthur. Your mother was able to find out thanks to her water spell. She saw the component and everything else fell in to place. The synth would attack and hurt her while the real Maxson didn't know what was happening thus they would argue thinking each other were going crazy." "What happened to the synth?" "It blew up...upstairs actually." Roger glanced up for a moment before cringing. "Oh.." The two had went to sleep soon after they finished dinner. Danse allowed Roger to sleep in the bed while Danse made a pallet on the floor.
Danse was the first to wake up. He went outside to do his morning routine though he was shocked to see a vertibird near by. He walked over to it to see Haylen waiting in it. "Haylen?" "Danse!" She smiled at him. "Why are you here? What's going on?" "Just a small field mission with the initiates. I'm waiting for them to return. I didn't notice we were so close by." Danse had nodded to her. "Well it was nice to see you. I should get back to the bunker, I'm sure he's Roger is awake by now. Can you let Kimi know he's here?" "Oh she already knows. Owen told her last night, Roger was smart enough to tell at least one person. She said if I saw you today to let you know he likes pancakes for breakfast and asked you tell him she said she was sorry." Danse had dropped his head, letting out a chuckle. "She sent the field mission didn't she?" "She did but honest I didn't put two and two together until just now." She let out a laugh. "Let her know he's safe and sound, just hurt." "Can't say I didn't see it coming. I think we all knew it would turn out this way when she swore us to secrecy." "True but still...I honestly would have though Owen would be the one to act this way not Roger." Haylen had shrugged at him. "I think it's because Owen always kind of knew...but Roger he thought so highly of his mother and would defend her from Owen when those two fought. I get his side though...they were told all their lives there was no such thing as magic then to be blindsided that your mother IS magic...it's a lot to take in all at once."
Danse had went back to the bunker to see Roger awake. "Good morning." "Good morning, Danse. I think...it's time I go home. I'm sure mother already has the whole Brotherhood looking for me." "If that's what you want. Are you ready though? You were so upset last night." Roger thought for a moment before nodding. "I'm ready." "Then let's get you home." Danse and Roger walked the rest of the day to the airport only reaching it as the sun had begun to set. Maxson was watching out the window of the observation deck when he saw the two walk in. Danse however had stopped before entering. "Aren't you coming?" "I'm afraid I can't. You father strictly forbids me from stepping foot near anything to do with the Brotherhood." Roger walked back over to Danse, waiting. Owen was the first to meet them. "Mother asked if you'd want to see her." Roger nodded to him before he went back. Kimikyo rushed to Roger, hugging him tightly before moving to give Danse a just as tight hug. "Thank you for keeping him safe." "Mother...can't you talk to father about allowing Danse back in?" Kimikyo placed her hand on Roger's cheek. "Oh hunny, I've tried more than once. Your father will not budge on it, no matter what I do or say." Danse patted Roger's head. "Don't worry about it. Besides I'm working with the Minutemen now, but thank you for trying. Now then I better get going before Arthur gets here." "It's so dangerous at night Danse. Please at least stay the night. I can have Haylen set you up a cot in the airport and I'll bring you dinner." Danse gave her a look of worry. "Don't worry I'm not going to cook it, if that's what you're worried about." "I'm worried that Arthur will have both our heads." Kimikyo looked at Roger before smiling. "Just this once, Arthur can just suck it up. Besides in my eyes you saved our son. Without you being his hero who knows where he would have went." "His hero?" Roger turned red, hiding his face in his hands as Danse gave him a smile. "Mother!" "Oh he's looked up to you since he was a child. He even has a picture of you on his night stand." "I'm leaving again! You're horrible." Roger stomped off towards the Prydwen, still red in the face. "He's just like you." "So I've heard." The two watched him before Kimikyo turned to Danse. "Please though allow me to thank you. What ever you need, name it." "Perhaps, just this once I'll stay if you can ensure I won't be attacked." "You have my word as a fae and you know how strong a fae's word is."
Haylen was sent down to the airport to help set up a bed for Danse while Kimikyo talked to Maxson about it. "You what?!" "I am letting him stay the night, a single night, at the airport which might I remind you is where I help synths and ghouls that you've promised to ignore." "That dirty traitor was told not to step foot near us. This is twice now, Kimikyo." She walked over to Maxson, staring up at him with her creepy void like eyes. "He kept our son safe and returned him to us and might I remind you that he rescued your ass years ago." Maxson looked away from her but still felt her stare. "Fine! But he better be gone before noon." "Thank you, my king." She smiled at him as she wrapped her arms around him. He pulled away from her, still very much upset with her. "I love you." She spoke gently as she watched him go to his terminal before leaving the room. She gathered some food and drinks for Danse before she went to the airport building. "Here you go, Danse." "Thanks. How did Arthur take the news?" She let out a groun as she placed the food and drinks down. "Not well I take it." "Not at all." She sat her desk that was close by. "I think I'm just going to get some work done tonight if that's okay with you. I'll be quiet." "I don't mind at all but won't he?" "Hmm...I'm already in the dog house. It can't get much worse besides it's not like I'm doing anything wrong. I'm just catching up on work. I hadn't done anything for the past two days because I was so worried about Roger." She smiled gently at Danse, though it was clear she hadn't gotten much sleep either.
True to her word Kimikyo began to do her paperwork. Danse had ate the dinner provided to him. "So tell me something. Why does Roger look up to me so much?" "I don't really know if I'm being honest. I think it started when you watched them for us that week we went to La Tempo. Ever since then he seemed to ask more and more about you. They knew you as Uncle Danse and that was thanks to Kigra. I swear my sisters get some weird pleasure out of tormenting Arthur." She let out a chuckle as she kept working. "You know...I think it would mean the absolute world to him if you signed a photo for him and their birthday is coming up." "Really? What are you going to do?" Kimikyo smiled lightly, looking over to Danse. "I think that since the mole rat is out of the bag I might as well introduce them to La Tempo. I think I'll take them there and introduce them as the princes they are." Danse had laid on his side, resting his head on his fist. "Are they princes? Isn't there a royal line to go down?" "Seeing as I'm still a princess, well technically I'm a queen, they are the princes." "Wait what!? Since when did you become a queen?" "Ten years ago actually. Rosalina pulled a bunch of shit and to make up for it her and my brother Kai, appointed me the title of Queen of the Commonwealth and thanks to me putting Quinlan in his place and not taking shit from anyone, the soldiers decided to put Fearful in front of it." "So you're the fearful queen of the commonwealth?" "I'm afraid so." Danse thought for a moment. "What does that make Maxson?" "He, and don't tell him this, was appointed king. I'm afraid that the title might go to his head." "Yea it might." The two laughed only for a moment before Kimikyo returned to her work. "Why'd you put Quinlan in his place?" "I got tired of his attitude towards me and the boys. He would always say he wished we were never here, or call me a thing but I think he's finally accepted me....he called me Eldress yesterday which was the first time."
As the night passed Kimikyo ended up falling asleep at her desk even though Danse remained awake. Maxson had carefully walked into the building to check on her, making sure to keep quiet. He placed his coat over her and kissed the top of her head before whispering. "I love you too, my queen." Maxson looked towards Danse, glaring at him before he began to walk away. "Why not wake her?" Maxson glanced back at him before waving him to go outside. Once outside Maxson spoke. "I don't want to disturb what little sleep she gets." "Sir." "I don't know why you're asking. You as an ex-soldier should know the pains of post traumatic stress. It may not look it but ever since the war and loosing her mother, hell maybe even before that, she's not been able to sleep. So what little she does get I try not to disturb." "It never occurred to me that she has to deal with that." Maxson glared at him once more. Kimikyo had woken up when Maxson first walked in. She was now sitting at the door, listening into the two talking. "She holds a lot of guilt about a lot of things that aren't in her control."
Maxson walked away from Danse going back to the Prydwen. Danse walked back into the building. "So how much of that did you hear?" "All of it..." Danse sat next to her, against the wall. "I didn't know there was a term for it. I didn't even know he knew I wasn't getting sleep!" She placed her head on her knees. "That might be because he doesn't get sleep either. None of us really do and I don't think the boys will considering..." Kimikyo went silent for a long moment. "It started when papa saved me...ever since then I wasn't able to sleep and would relive the torture in my dreams. I think I've maybe gotten one good nights sleep since then. What he doesn't know it's actually gotten better since I've lived here because those men can't get to me here and I know that if they did Maxson would protect me." She smiled lightly. "I think I will go back to the Prydwen now. The desk isn't the best place to sleep." "I can't imagine it is. Good night, Kimi." She nodded to him before going back to the Prydwen.
