in my heart telemachus idolizes his dad for being able to fight off people that he never could, he doesn't know much about the man, other than how much of a great soldier he is, and hes his son, he probably gets told how much alike he is to his dad, but he doesn't see it, after all his father is a warrior meanwhile he isn't. in his heart hes just a weak and helpless man who can't even protect his own mother. to him he is no odysseus. he probably feels like a failure compared to him.

all he wants to do is defend his mother, the woman who raised him, the woman who was always there for him. and he can't even do that. if he was more like his father he'd be able to protect her. he probably blames himself man ☹️

it doesn't help that for most of telemachus's life the suitors have called him weak and pathetic, he knows he should just ignore it, but he can't help but let it get to him. that definitely doesn't help with all his issues
