Based on Oliver mentioning Buck and Jee baking together in an upcoming ep.
(I wrote this on my phone so it's not the greatest)
now also on AO3
---
"Is it someone's birthday?" Maddie asked, running through all of their friends and relatives in her mind, trying to figure out if she forgot a birthday.
"No." Buck shook his head and kept pulling ingredients out of the fridge and his kitchen cabinets.
"Ok... What's the occasion then?" she asked when he didn't elaborate.
"It's for Tommy. "
"Oh, is it his birthday?"
"No, not for a few weeks."
"Right. So this is a practice run?"
"What? No. I found the recipe online, but it's easy enough."
"Ok..."
"He likes cake."
"Ok."
Buck sighed and rolled his eyes at his sister before glancing up in the direction of the loft's bedroom.
"He's had a rough couple of days. He had to make an emergency landing because of bad weather yesterday and the ambulance couldn't get to them fast enough and they lost the patient."
"That was him? Josh took that call and he was exhausted from stress by the end of shift."
Buck nodded.
"Tommy too. And he was hurting all over last night. He never takes any pain medication but he took two ibuprofen and a hot shower and crashed into bed."
"Are you sure you're alright to take Jee for the afternoon then? I can ask Mrs Lee or see if she can go play with her friend Emily from down the road. "
"It's fine." Buck told her and turned to Jee. "You're my sous chef aren't you? Are you going to help me today?"
"Yeah!" the girl yelled happily.
"But we have to be quiet ok? Tommy is sleeping upstairs and we don't want to wake him. He needs to sleep because he's sick."
Jee nodded solemnly to show she understood.
"But we're going to surprise him with cake so he'll feel better soon, right?"
"Yeah!" she yelled again, making her mother and uncle laugh.
"At least she's enthusiastic." Maddie tried and bent down to hug and kiss her daughter goodbye. "You be good for uncle Buck, me or daddy will pick you up tonight ok?"
"Ok mommy!" Jee said and climbed up onto the stool next to the kitchen counter.
"Go. We'll be fine." Buck assured her, wrapping an arm around Jee to keep her safe.
After Maddie had left, Buck gave Jee an old shirt of his to wear as apron, made her wash her hands, and the two of them got to work.
He tried to let her do as much as possible while still making sure everything was going to plan and she wouldn't hurt herself.
Before long the cake was in the oven and they started the clean up.
"And when it's done baking, we let it cool off a little and then we can put the icing on and decorate it with these." he showed Jee the assortment of sprinkles he kept in his kitchen for her.
Jee nodded happily and started planning out her sprinkles masterpiece.
Buck looked up towards the bedroom area and listened for a sign of life from his boyfriend.
When he didn't hear anything, he decided to put Jee in front of the TV and go check on him. Tommy was fast asleep, rolled up in the duvet like a human burrito, and didn't seem to have woken up since Buck had made him eat something that morning.
Satisfied everything was ok, he went back downstairs and let Jee tell him all about the cartoon she was watching, until the cake was ready for decoration.
"Which ones do you want to put on first? Pink or gold?"
"Gold!"
"Alright, gold it is. Put it on where you think is best." Buck told her. "But not too much, we need to leave room for the other colours. And we can put your name on it. And mine."
"And uncle Tommy." she decided and Buck froze for a second.
Sure Tommy and Jee had met and he'd explained to her that Tommy was to him what mommy and daddy were to each other, and he was pretty sure she'd understood, but to hear her call him uncle Tommy, that was new.
Jee didn't seem to notice just how much she'd just turned his world upside down and was babbling about what colour sprinkles should go where.
"Pink here for the heart." she decided and Buck wondered when they'd agreed on heart shaped decorations.
"Right, yeah, that... that works." he let Jee draw a heart in pink sprinkles and dutifully wrote his and Tommy's names in it. "And where should I write your name?"
Jee thought for a minute and studied the cake but then shook her head.
"No name."
"What? Are you sure?"
"Yeah." Jee said like it was the most obvious thing in the world and put some sugar stars across the top half of the cake, above the heart with their names. "That's the sky. With stars."
"Oh wow, that's beautiful miss Jee, did you make that?"
Buck jumped a little when he suddenly heard his boyfriend's voice behind him and felt a hand on his waist.
"Uncle Buck helped" Jee told Tommy.
"Did he now? I'm sure you did all of the important work." Tommy said and gave her a conspiratory wink before turning to Buck and stealing a small kiss. "Hey." he greeted him softly.
"H-hey... Did we wake you?"
Tommy shook his head.
"It's fine. Had to get up eventually."
"Feeling better yet?"
Tommy shrugged and sat down at the kitchen island.
"I'm alright." he just said, which wasn't really an answer but Buck decided to let it go for now.
"Uncle Tommy, it's for you. You need to come look!" Jee insisted, pointing at the cake.
Tommy met Buck's eyes over her head and mouthed "Uncle Tommy?" at him.
Buck shrugged and smiled.
"Uncle Tommy, come see!" Jee said again, a little louder this time, clearly getting fed up with the adults in her life.
"Why don't you two come here and show me, and you can tell me what you made."
Buck helped her down from her stool and put the cake on the island in front of Tommy before helping Jee back on her stool, this time sitting next to Tommy who immediately put a hand on her back so she wouldn't fall off.
"This is the sky with the stars." she started like she was explaining the mysteries of the universe. "And you can fly to the stars."
Tommy laughed a little.
"I don't think I can go quite that high in my helicopter. But maybe I can show you how high I do go. When you're a little older. And your mommy and daddy are ok with it. Maybe uncle Evan will want to come too."
Jee-Yun turned to Buck and gave him an expectant look.
"Yeah, maybe." he settled on, trying to get his heart to calm down and not burst out of his chest hearing his boyfriend make plans with his niece. Even if she was only three and would probably have forgotten about it by the time she was old enough to even think about going up.
She seemed happy with that answer and turned back to Tommy to explain the rest of their creation.
"It's really amazing Jee, it's almost too pretty to eat don't you think?"
"No. You have to eat it. It's chocolate." she said as if that explained everything.
"Oh really? I do love chocolate." Tommy told her. "But can I take a picture of it before we eat it?" he reached into the pocket of his sweats only to realise he'd left his phone upstairs. "Evan, can you take a picture and send it to me?"
"Sure." he grabbed his phone and opened the camera. "You should be in the picture too, we made it for you after all."
Tommy dutifully posed with the cake, tilting the pan towards the camera so the decorations were clearly visible.
"And now one with the master chef herself." he put the cake back down on the table and moved a little closer to Jee so they'd both fit in the picture with the cake and Buck took a few pictures.
After that Jee insisted on having a photo shoot, and by the time Maddie came to pick her back up, his camera roll was filled with pictures of the three of them.
He showed a few to Maddie at Jee's insistence and set one of Tommy making a funny face at Jee as his new contact picture.
They said goodbye to Maddie and Jee-yun and settled on the sofa together, scrolling through the pictures and laughing at some of silly ones.
"I like this one." Buck said, stopping at a selfie of the two of them where Tommy had kissed his cheek at the last second.
"Yeah. Me too." Tommy said softly, not really looking at the picture. "Thanks. For today. For getting me out of my head."
Buck smiled and kissed him.
"Of course."

In which you realize you don't have to be perfect around Seungmin.
Hurt/comfort. (wrote this while listening to fine line so i do recommend listening to it hehe)
"I bought snacks for our movie night!" Seungmin excitedly announces, strutting inside your room with a grin on his face.
You snap your head towards him, guilt already cursing through your veins. "Was it tonight?"
"Yeah, did you forget?" he asks, a hint of amusement in his voice.
"No, no. Um... I just- I need to finish this essay first and..." your eyes rack frantically through your desk- everything looks so disorganized to you right now. "And I... I didn't wash the dishes from yesterday," you scratch your hand uncomfortably, suddenly recalling everything you are behind in. "And I promised I'll make you cookies, didn't I?" you ask, growing more agitated with each word.
You abruptly stand up, dropping your pen and darting towards the kitchen. Your hands are shaking as you rapidly grab a bowl from the sink to start washing it. But you can't hold it still and it falls to the ground, the loud thud echoing through your home.
You are behind on everything- your work, your cleaning, your promises.
"Yn?" Seungmin calls out your name cautiously but you don't answer him, too lost in your own thoughts. When did you let things go this much? You forgot your date with Seungmin, but you weren't one to forget. You're the one who remembers every single detail, making sure that everything runs smoothly.
But the stress of finals has taken a toll on you. It was hard to catch your breath when you felt like you were crumbling down under the weight of your self-deprecating thoughts.
And you don't want Seungmin to see you this way- anything short of perfect. He'd criticize you too, right? Like everyone before him did.
"Baby, breathe," he places his hand gently on your shoulder and you freeze in your place. Your hands are tightly clutching the countertop, and you don't dare to turn around and face him.
"I'm okay," you reply, willing your voice to be strong.
"Are you really ?" he asks you softly and you look up at the ceiling in a useless attempt to stop your tears from falling.
Seungmin didn't need you to talk. He simply glances at your tense shoulders and your foot that's furiously tapping the floor, and he knows. He has his answer.
Your back is still facing him, so he slowly wraps his arms around you from behind. His chin resting gently on top of your shoulder.
"I'm sorry I'm not perfect," you finally whisper after a few beats of silence.
"Who says I want perfect?"
"I just... Everything went wrong and I... I feel as if I let you down," you admit quietly and you expect Seungmin to let you go and turn away. But he doesn't, instead he tightens his hold on you and you almost can't believe it. He's staying.
"You didn't let me down. You are only human, I don't expect you to be put together all the time. Imagine how boring that would be," he adds with a chuckle and you smile despite yourself, your hand slowly raising up to rest on top of his.
"We'll wash the dishes together. And we'll bake the cookies together. But you'll work on your essay alone because why did you choose such a hard major," he jokes and you swat his hand playfully in reply.
"But I'm here," he turns you around, his eyes finally locking with yours. "We pick each other up when the other is down."
Seungmin gently wipes your tears away, before leaning in to place a soft kiss on your forehead. His lips linger in there for a couple more seconds than necessary, and you almost cry from the relief that's flooding your being. He stayed.
"You don't have to pretend around me. If you are feeling overwhelmed, just tell me, okay?"
"Okay," you smile at him and he nods, satisfied.
"Now..." Seungmin smiles mischievously at you and you know there is a twisted plan brewing in his head. Your suspicions are confirmed when he suddenly bends down and picks you up. He runs towards the living room where he throws you on the couch, and then he's on top of you, tickling you until you can't breathe anymore.
"How dare you forget about our movie night! I should be your one and only priority!"
"I'm sorry!" you yell through your giggles, but Seungmin doesn't yield. He keeps on tickling you until your cheeks ache from how hard you are laughing, and you're slowly starting to forget what made you so upset in the first place.
Truth is, Seungmin didn't mind that you forgot about your date. He just needed you to laugh again.

✨blurb/imagine request✨
i hardly ever see any plus sized reader x 141 men (specifically simon / könig / price) fics, blurbs, or even imagines. If you’re interested i’d love to see what you’d do with it! 💕
(nsfw is more than okay🤭)
Of course I can! I def think Simon looves having a girl w/ some curves! Smt about the softness and femininity of it all drives him feral.
Warnings: afab reader, nsfw (was feeling slutty today 😃)
Simon loves the way you look when you're baking. Loves the way you bop about the kitchen to the quiet sound of your playlist, swaying your hips to the beat of every song. You get in the zone, and he gets a show that has his dick getting hard in his pants.
He'd no idea what you were concocting today. Something French by the sound of it. Admittedly, he cared more about the way the plush flesh of your ass jiggled as you leant over the counter to roll out the pastry than whatever fancy dessert you'd come up with today. The sight of you vaguely reminds him of a painting he'd seen in secondary school once. Something about Venus. To him you're so much more though - you're Venus and Saturn, Mars and Jupiter. You are his entire universe.
There's something about the softness and warmth of you that drives him insane. Of course, he thinks that lots of women are beautiful, muscular, slim, tall or small. There's something about you, though, something about every soft dip and curve of your body. You're the picture of health, soft with every hearty, home cooked meal and sweet dessert made and perfected with hours of practise, concentration and love.
When the already short material of your skirt rides up? He's a goner. Thick arms looping around your waist have you giggling, leaning your head back into the crook of Simon's neck, inhaling the residual scent of yesterday's cologne and that deliciously clean, post shower smell. "What y'making?" Soft muscle and warm skin reverberate against your back as he speaks low in your ear, peppering kisses down the column of your neck whilst his hands find their way up your shirt. The way your back arches against him, pressing your ass into his crotch as he grabs a handful of your tits and squeezes softly, he's convinced there's no better feeling in the world. "Mille Feuille." You mumble breathily back as Simon nudges your lower back so that you're leaning a little further over the counter, leaving prints of your boobs in the flour you'd sprinkled on the counter so your dough didn't get sticky. "Mille Feuille." He rumbles back, lips brushing your ear as his free hand travels down your stomach, between the soft warmth of your thighs, thumb brushing teasingly over your panties.
You inadvertently clench your thighs around Simon's hand, body stuck between whether or not it likes the intrusion, and from the wet lace of your panties, you're pretty sure it's trying to keep him there. The audible squelch of your panties when Simon pushes his middle and ring finger up against your folds has you blushing, trying to escape where he's got you pinned at the hips over the counter, only receiving a tsk from Simon as he ruts his cock against your ass. "Bend over proper for me baby, yeah?" He coos, gently pushing you down by the back of your neck so that your cheek presses against the cool marble of the countertop. "Tha's it. So, so pretty f'me. So good, yeah?" Is what accompanies the back of your skirt being flipped up, your ruined underwear pushed dismissively to the side.
A whimper gets lost amongst the sound of Simon's belt being unbuckled, with one hand at that, seeing as the other is running his fingers through your folds, collecting the glossy slick that's already leaking from your hole. The way your pussy flutters around nothing just from the thought of his actions behind you is shameful, but Simon likes it. When Simon's cock juts carefully between your thighs, his hips bumping against your ass, you go completely blank, a fucked out look on your face without him even having gone inside yet. "You like that baby? Yeah?" His tone has you nodding dumbly, your hand not supporting your head coming to rub impatiently at your clit, mewling softly as you buck your hips up against him. "So needy f'me already." Accompanies the sound of a breathless moan, like you've had all the air punched out of you when Simon notches the weeping head of his cock up into you. The angle has you gasping, hands gripping at the unyielding counter as you attempt to steady yourself against his gradually roughening thrusts. "Fuck, Si." You cry out as his dick pushes against your cervix, his dark gaze probing, fiercely intense as you pant and whine. "Thaaaats it." Is groaned gently into your ear as you take the entirety of his length with a weak cry.
Simon's pace is punishing, more so that he can watch the way your ass jiggles with every hard snap of his hips than because he means anything by it. The way you whine and mewl is only an added extra. He knows when you're about to cum, by the way you grow breathless, eyes rolling back and pussy practically sucking his cock up, greedy thing. With a few last thrusts, and a slap of your butt for good measure, you keen out, Simon's own eyes rolling back when he feels the warm wash of your cum around his cock. It doest take long for him to ride out his own orgasm, pressing his chest down against your back, his head into the crook of your neck as he spurts thick, hot cum right up into the plug of your womb.

at home bakery , fushiguro toji
with his daughter ! just fluff, nothing else, mentions of a wife but not necessarily said to be the reader, no name daughter too
author's note: i forgot i made a poll about this omg... idk if i wanna make a pt2 because i completely skipped over the actual baking and just left it open ended + idk if i wanna do x reader
"come up here, lassie." toji picks up his daughter with ease, placing her onto a stool that's high enough for her to reach the counter. "we're gonna be baking before mama gets home."
as he fiddles with the stool, making sure it's secure and stable, she taps at the marbled surface and glances around the kitchen. "what will we bake?" once he stands up straight, she peers up at him with big eyes, filled to the brim with curiosity and anticipation.
he stares at the miniature version of himself, his eyes squinting as he tries to jog his memory. "...what did you want again?" he whispers, half to himself, half directly to her. his memory has been completely used up trying to remember the names of all of her dolls, not that he had much space left to do so in the first place.
"omurice!" no, that wasn't the right answer, but she still clapped in excitement anyways.
"no— careful." he supports her back with a hand when she starts the wobble, not having the heart to scold too much in fear of her getting upset. "that was your breakfast. you told me you wanted dessert didn't you?"
"hmm..." placing a hand on her chin, she starts to think. then it moves down to her skirt, playing with the loose details and buttons. "don't remember..."
"of course..." he mutters under his breath, planting his hands on the edge of the surface. "forget it. i'll make a guess based on what we have here."
luckily, his wife had everything prepped on the counter before leaving for work. milk, flour, sugar, butter; the basics. eggs, yeast... bananas? now, toji may be a smart guy, but he's not the best when it comes to making estimations with such common ingredients like this... plus the addition of a bundle of bananas. "what the hell's this supposed to make?"
"oh!" as if there was a light bulb above her head, she holds her index finger up. "babana bread! i want babana bread!" she reaches out and takes hold of the bundle of bananas.
"banana bread." he corrects. easing the bundle out of her grip, he starts to break one off for her. "and didn't you already have some yesterday?"
it's a vivid memory. he had quite the mess to clean up when you had found the store-bought baked goods in the pantry, and with some (useless) help from her, managed to fix everything up and save him from the wrath of his wife. within minutes too... stressful.
in a fit, her arms swing back and forth, and she tries to put in the most innocent facade she can. "papaaa..."
"what? i'm still going to make it for you." he peels the fruit. "and you can eat this one while you watch."
"not that!" she pouts, stomping her tiny foot. the whine in her voice was an easy way to make him sway, and not being able to handle her sulky looks was an absolute curse. her hands reach up to tug at the material of his shirt. "you needa do the thing, papa!"
"what thing?"
"the thing!"
his eyebrows furrow, and he places the half peeled fruit on the counter. "i—"
"papa!"
"okay, okay." somehow, he seems taken aback, and he raises his arms to surrender. "no need to get loud with me, sweet." on command, he walks over to the doorway of the kitchen, three aprons waiting for him. he takes the first, covered in the word's 'this dad can't cook'. and the third, with the words 'baby princess' on it.
toji puts her apron on first, tying it loosely around the back to prevent safety hazards. as for his, it barely reaches around his waist, but not enough for a knot, so he leaves it hanging. "and?" she looks up at him expectedly.
"papa toji's bakery is..." he reaches up and flips over the makeshift sign hanging on the wall in front of the oven, showing 'closed' to 'open'. "open!"
his daughter's happiness was so potent, so innocent. her hands raise in the air, albeit not that far, and laughs in celebration. "yay!"

mon cœur - han jisung
love collection masterlist
genre: fluff, soft
synopsis: how did one 'i' meet the other 'i'?
pairings: idol!han jisung (istp) x fem!reader (infp)
wc ~7.6k| moodboard
。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ 。・:*:・゚★,。・:*:・゚☆ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ 。 。・:*:・゚★,。・:
'closed for construction, sorry for the inconvenience.'
jisung blinks at the paper with bold text, allowing the words to register before he lets out a frustrated sigh. he continues to read the sign repeatedly, like if he read it enough, time would speed up, and the cafe would magically finish construction and reopen. unsure of how long he's been standing at the cafe's entrance inside the company building, he takes a couple of reluctant steps back, pulling out his phone and swiping into the group chat. a pout on his lips as he taps away and sends a message to the boys.
hanji: did you guys know the cafe on the first floor is closed for construction
leader bang: yes they sent an email last week
leebit: ^^
seungmoo: lol did u not check your email last week
jeonginnie: when was the last time you checked your emails
hanji: so you all knew
hyune: yeah cos we checked our emails
dwaekki: are you on the first floor right now
hanji: … yes
yongbokkie: haha
dwaekki: so you found out right when you texted us
seungmoo: changbin hyung pls you found out yesterday since you also didn't check your email
hyune: oh right haha
leebit: 2racha sharing one brain cell
dwaekki: ok well han didn't need to know
hanji: ok well you all suck i'm going to get coffee somewhere else
leader bang: take someone with you
hanji: i'll be fine if i take any of you, i won't hear the end of how i don't check my emails so i will go alone
leebit: hehe
hyune: you won't hear the end of it regardless
leader bang: well come back safe
he sends a cute little emoji, acknowledging chan's message, before he shuts his phone off, slips it into his pocket, and pulls a black face mask out from the opposite pocket. hopefully, the mask would help hide his identity, just enough not to draw any attention to him during his quick coffee run. jisung loops the elastics around his ears and adjusts the nose wire as he walks to the front doors of the building, bidding a polite bow to the front desk staff. he then makes his way out of the jyp building.
he takes his phone out again, strolling as he researches what cafes there are in the area; a handful of cafes near the jyp entertainment building, a lot of them within walking distance, too. however, just to be safe, jisung looks for a cafe that isn't frequented often, one that would be emptier than the competitors nearby so he can go in and out promptly.
mon cœur.
that's the name of the cafe jisung chose; the walk to the cafe is a minute or so longer than the others, but seeing as it's almost empty according to the foot traffic tracker in the review app, jisung doesn't mind the walking.
upon entering the cafe, he's greeted by the barista. jisung's first breath is laced with coffee beans and the scent of freshly baked pastries; he scans over the cafe's interior and walks towards the cash register. eyes gazing at the white walls, oak wood accents and various green plants scattered around the cafe, the interior giving off a clean but soothing and comfortable atmosphere. even though jisung knows he will order the same thing he gets at every other cafe, he lets himself look over the menu.
"good morning, welcome to mon cœur; what can i get for you today?" jisung's eyes meet the barista's, who smiles warmly towards him.
"can i get an iced americano?" he asks, his eyes drifting over to the empty cups displayed in various sizes at the cafe. " a medium size, please."
the barista nods as she punches in his order, confirming his item. jisung grabs his wallet as the barista is transferring the respective cost onto the card machine for payment.
"it'll be ready as soon as possible."
jisung politely smiles behind his mask, his eyes becoming crescents as he waves his hand, "don't worry, take your time. i'm in no rush."
making his way over to one of the tables, jisung takes a seat and pulls out his phone, deciding to pass the time by scrolling through the messages from fans on the bubble messaging app. meanwhile, he can hear the barista working in the background, the coffee machines running, ice being poured into cups, sinks turning on and off and fridge doors opening and closing.
ding!
jisung's attention is captured by the sudden chime of the bell dangling over the door, his gaze snapping towards the entrance where he feels like his mouth has suddenly gone dry. the barista turns to greet the new customer inside the cafe.
"good morning, welcome to–oh, y/n!" the barista's tone quickly shifts from customer service to casual. "you're not on shift today?"
jisung finds himself curious and entranced by the new presence inside the cafe, his eyes following the girl who has just entered, and he walks up to the counter.
you chuckle, "of course, i'm not on shift today. i'm only scheduled once or twice a week–i do have work later. the higher-ups have a meeting, so we start later than usual on those days."
when he realizes he's been staring for a second too long, jisung snaps out of his daze and looks back at his phone screen, scrolling. he tries not to eavesdrop and listen in, but he's getting snippets here and there in between the loud sounds of machines drowning out some of the words exchanged between you and the barista. it's like he can't help it but he also he isn't sure what's gotten over him; he had seen the tiniest glimpse of your face–a quick side profile as you walked by the table he's sat at–and now he finds himself quite intrigued by you.
"well, you work at your other job more, so it makes sense. you're here tomorrow for work, aren't you?"
"that's right, are you? are you my partner tomorrow?"
maybe he's so intrigued because you're the only two customers in the cafe; with the addition of the barista, only three people are standing in the small unit. maybe it was the lack of other customers and conversations to eavesdrop on had jisung drawn to the one you were having with the barista; either that, or it's the fact that all he's seen is the quickest glimpse of your side profile, and the only thought that registered in his brain that moment was 'pretty'.
"anyway, the usual for you?"
you nod with a smile, "you know me so well, thanks mia."
the barista, whose name jisung now knows is mia, beams at you as she lets you know she'll finish his drink before getting to yours.
it's been less than a minute since she's begun his drink, and in the back of jisung's mind, he wants mia to take her sweet time preparing his shot of espresso, water and ice just so he can listen to your voice a little more. unfortunately, even if she did choose to take her time, you decided to take a seat at the table across from jisung, leaving mia to get back to her job and not wanting to leave, him, the customer waiting too long–saving the conversation for later.
you're clad in jeans and a hoodie. you place your bag down on the chair across from you and pull out your laptop, setting it on the table. your eyes glance towards the man sitting on the opposite side of the cafe. the bottom half of his face is covered by a black mask, and dark strands of hair cover his forehead. you purse your lips together to shoot the stranger a small smile with a nod of your head.
this causes jisung to snap out of his trance, his whole body heating up at the belated realization that he's staring again. only this time, he was caught staring at a stranger by the stranger herself. his focus moves back to his phone where he tries to occupy himself once again with the bubble messages, but can't help but wallow in embarrassment at the fact he was caught. you probably thought he was a creep, some stranger in a cafe you frequented (clearly, seeing as you and the barista are on a first-name basis and the fact you apparently work here) staring at you from across the room and saying nothing.
"hi sir, your iced americano is ready," the barista, mia, announces, capturing jisung's attention as he scrambles to his feet, out of the table he's seated at and up to the counter to claim his order. mia slides jisung's drink towards him, accompanied by a straw and cup sleeve.
"thank you," jisung smiles under his mask once again. the smile doesn't reach his eyes as he thinks and rethinks that you, a beautiful stranger at this cafe, probably thinks he's a creep now.
mia bids her usual parting greetings to customers to jisung, who then turns on his heel, making a beeline for the cafe doors. the door opens with a ding and shuts behind him, at that moment mia's eyes fall on your relaxed frame behind your laptop. all the while, jisung speed walks back to the company building with burning cheeks.
"he was totally into you," mia sings with a mischievous smile.
you scoff in disbelief, looking at mia, whose grin resembles that of the cheshire cat. "he was not. i don't even know him."
"well, he may be a stranger, but that sparkle in his eyes when you walked in is something i could recognize anywhere."
…
due to scheduling, jisung didn't have to go out and get his own coffee to start his day off–the boys had gotten so busy that their managers would take it upon themselves to do a coffee run for the boys and other staff members working with them that day the moment practice began.
the day after jisung went to mon cœur to grab his coffee, he couldn't stop thinking about you. he couldn't stop thinking about the brief glimpse he had of your side profile, how beautiful he found you, how you intrigued him so much that he found himself eavesdropping on your conversation with the barista that day. how could a stranger he didn't even get a clear view of be spending so much time running through his mind?
a month and a half of schedules filled to the brim had passed before their schedules allowed enough time during their breaks for the boys to finally fetch their food and drinks on their own. it was also in that month and a half, the jyp cafe had completed the construction they had undergone and started business up again–but they were no longer jisung's go-to.
he made the short walk over to mon cœur when his break allowed him to, walking in and ordering an iced americano, sometimes a slice of cheesecake to-go if he felt his work efforts were plentiful and flourishing through the week.
to his disappointment, you weren't the one behind the bar.
instead, it was usually mia, the girl who served him the first time and the one you were speaking to that day, joon or aera. even though he wasn't greeted by you behind the counter, the walk to mon cœur has become somewhat of a routine for jisung that he enjoys, allowing him to clear his mind for those couple of minutes.
chan claps his hands together to grasp everyone's attention. "let's take a break. we've practiced without a break since we got in, so let's take a thirty-minute break to relax." he glances at the computer, " everybody better be back on time."
the room is full of agreements as everyone inside of the practice room begin to file out.
some of the boys opt to go to the cafeteria and get something to eat in the meantime, and some of the staff share the same idea as they make their way to the elevator. most of the herd is waiting for the elevator to go up while jisung waits for the elevator to go down.
when the elevator arrives to go up, jisung steps aside to avoid being pushed in with the crowd as they all squish into the small space. it isn't until the elevator doors close and the sound of it whirring as it travels up that jisung realizes he isn't alone in the hallway.
"where are you off to?" seungmin nudges jisung.
"gonna get some coffee, maybe something small to eat too."
"hmm, what are you thinking of?" the slightly younger of the two asks as the elevator going down arrives on their floor; those exiting file out on the floor while jisung and seungmin make their way inside the elevator.
"i was thinking a cheesecake slice, maybe a small bun too," jisung tries to visualize the display fridge at mon cœur that showcases the many desserts and delicacies they offer.
"i don't remember the cafe downstairs having cheesecake slices? was it a new addition after the construction?"
"oh, i'm not going to the cafe downstairs."
seungmin pauses, blinking slowly, "you're going to a cafe that's farther than the one we have on the main floor?" jisung nods, "why?"
"it's not too long of a walk, just a couple of minutes," he begins to explain. they have great cheesecake slices, and their drinks are great too, so it's worth the couple of minutes."
"i'll come along, i wanna see how good this cheesecake is that you're taking the extra couple of minutes to walk."
jisung shrugs and goes along with it.
they pass the front desk on their way out, bidding the receptionist a polite bow before walking out of the building, obscuring the lower half of their faces with face masks they'd pulled out. much like jisung had said, the walk is indeed short, maybe feeling even shorter since they filled the time discussing work–how comeback preparations have been going.
the bell dangling above the cafe entrance chimes when jisung gently swings the door open, seungmin walking in first and him following behind. the cafe is quiet as usual, with a handful of customers scattered inside–there may be around five customers besides jisung and seungmin. the large windows facing the street are where most customers choose to sit, relax, and take sips of their drinks while enjoying the street view.
jisung and seungmin make their way to the counter, and to jisung's dismay, it looks like the barista behind the bar isn't the beautiful stranger that's been on his mind.
jisung nudges seungmin, who moves his head slightly in his direction, jisung points toward the overhead menu, "have you decided?"
seungmin shakes his head, crossing his arms over his chest and making slow strides up to the counter to get a closer look at the menu. "we just got here, of course, i haven't."
the closer they are to the counter, the closer view seungmin gets of the many pastries and dessert slices presented behind the glass. the pastries sit on long ceramic plates, lined up neatly by their different type, while the desserts are lined up inside the fridge, sitting on individual ceramic plates and angled to show off the various layers. jisung already has his eyes on the new york cheesecake slice and an iced americano, but he also finds himself eying a double chocolate muffin as seungmin hums to himself and moves around as he looks.
the barista, joon, greets the two of them with a bright and toothy smile: "good afternoon and welcome to mon cœur. i'm here to help whenever you're ready!"
jisung and seungmin smile behind their masks, crescent, sparkly eyes beaming back at the barista who recognizes jisung as a regular who's recently been frequenting their cafe.
seungmin nudges jisung, who shifts his attention to the boy, "the chocolate muffin looks good, but–"
"but what?"
seungmin whispers, "we're gearing up for a comeback, should i really—"
jisung cuts him off, "yes, we've worked hard, so we deserve a little treat. plus, you'll burn it all off in dance practice later."
seungmin hums as he ponders jisung's point before shrugging and deciding on the cake. the two boys place their orders separately, jisung going first, and in the middle of seungmin's order, someone comes out from the back of the cafe through the curtains.
"joon, do we have any–"
you had walked out, eyes looking at the many shelves, and didn't notice the customers standing opposite of joon at the cash register.
immediately you're pursing your lips together in a sheepish smile as your cheeks heat up, bowing in apology before continuing your search all on your own. this time, you stay behind the bar instead of going back through the curtains into the back of the cafe, your eyes rifling over the shelves to check and recheck the stock.
joon apologizes with a soft smile, but seungmin shrugs it off with a chuckle before finalizing his order. once he's given the receipt and directed to move to the pickup counter, seungmin finds his friend frozen in his tracks and doing a terrible job hiding how he's blatantly staring at the female barista who emerged from the back. jisung practically has heart eyes.
seungmin nudges him; with a whisper, he says, "you're staring, you know."
jisung snaps out of his momentary trance to scoff and deny the other's claims, crossing his arms over his chest–subconsciously stealing a couple more glances at you.
"talk to her," seungmin murmers, and jisung shakes his head immediately, "why not?"
"job doesn't allow that."
"who said anything about the big 'd' word?" seungmin teases, "i just said talk to her, but if that's what you're thinking of–get her number and ask her out."
jisung shakes his head profusely. even though he wants to do exactly that, he's too nervous to speak to you. he wasn't even expecting to see you behind the bar today since every other time he had come to the cafe, he was greeted by someone else.
the one time jisung doesn't come alone is when you're on shift–he likes it, of course; who wouldn't enjoy an unexpected sighting of something, someone, so beautiful. what he doesn't like is how seungmin caught him red-handed, already anticipating the teasing and jokes when they walk back to the company building.
you hand their orders off to them, thanking them and bidding the two a nice day before they're out of the cafe and walking back to the company building to eat in the practice room. when they're outside, halfway to the company building, seungmin speaks up.
"it wasn't just the cheesecake and coffee that made the walk there worth it, was it?" there was a tinge of playfulness in his tone.
"shut up, i don't know what you're talking about," jisung denies, taking a long sip of his iced americano.
"mhmm…" seungmin hums, "as if you weren't all heart eyes for the barista that came out from the back."
jisung's cheeks flush; he tries hard to sound stern, only to stutter and stumble over his words, "s-shut up, i'm not taking you with me next time."
…
that was a lie.
seungmin continued to tag along with jisung whenever they had the time to go to mon cœur during their break, jisung avoiding the slightly younger one's knowing gaze as he smiled teasingly. it was odd how you were always behind the bar suddenly when jisung was accompanied by seungmin; whenever he came solo, it was never you.
a blessing and a curse.
a blessing that jisung has the opportunity to see your pretty face and your radiant smile when tending to customers, and a curse when seungmin gives him teasing looks and wiggles his eyebrows playfully.
"i hate you," jisung murmurs as seungmin dawns a mischievous smile, the two of them now standing in line, waiting for you to complete another order before tending to them.
they watch as you transfer the orders of the customers in front of them over to joon, who makes the orders behind you. before they know it, you're standing behind the point-of-sale system and smiling at the two boys.
"hi, welcome to mon cœur," your voice is like honey to jisung's ears, "what can i get for you two today?"
seungmin nudges jisung to go first, but jisung finds himself struggling to speak, unable to order even though he gets the same drink every single time he's here. jisung stutters under your waiting gaze, your sparkling eyes, and seungmin intervenes to ease the awkwardness.
"two medium sized iced americanos, please."
you relay his words back in confirmation, catching a nod from the one in a windbreaker as you punch their order into the system. meanwhile, jisung's gaze travels to the name tag pinned on the upper left side of your apron.
'y/n.'
"anything else for today?" your eyes drift from the pos screen to the two boys standing in front of you. the one wearing the beanie you recognize as a new regular, and his friend with the windbreaker a new new regular.
you watch as the man wearing the windbreaker nudges the man in the beanie, who shakes his head in response. his deep brown eyes crinkling into crescents as he bids you a smile under his mask. you exchange a soft, toothless smile and connect the pos to the card system so they can pay. you hear the sound of the button buzz as you move to get the respective cups and set them up.
seungmin turns the machine back in your direction, opting against taking the receipt before walking to the pickup area. the two men lean against the wall-mounted tables nearby.
"y'know, it's now or never."
jisung scoffs, rolling his eyes, "i don't know what you're talking about."
even though half his face is covered by a mask, jisung can tell seungmin is deadpanning at him because of the way his eyes droop.
"i'm just saying," he shrugs, "take the chance; what do you have to lose by doing that?"
jisung blinks, realizing seungmin has a point. if you reject his advances, he can always go back to being a regular at the cafe on the first floor of the company building. if you accept, well, he hasn't really thought that far.
regardless, he doesn't think he's ready for that, despite the fact it's been almost two months since he began frequenting mon cœur instead of the company cafe. with a soft sigh, jisung chooses to nod his head in acknowledgement and turn away from seungmin, facing toward the front as they wait.
"hi!" you grab the attention of the two boys, "your order is ready!"
pushing themselves off the table they're leaning up against, they walk up to the counter as you slide the tray with their order closer to the centre of the counter. seungmin makes the move to slide the tray toward himself, nearly sitting on the edge of the counter. you bid them a friendly smile before going over to clean up whatever you see fit.
jisung nudges seungmin when he notices the two wax-lined paper bags with the cafe logo on the front. jisung picks up one bag, peeking inside to find a chocolate chip cookie, "did you order cookies? did i just not hear it?"
seungmin shakes his head, confused as he thinks back to confirm that he only ordered the two of them iced americanos. he shakes his head again, "just the drinks... here, let me ask."
seungmin looks over to you and joon, wanting to make sure he isn't interrupting either of you.
"hi, sorry!" seungmin calls out; both you and joon turn towards the pickup counter. your feet follow the direction of your gaze as you move to attend to customers. seungmin holds up one bag, "we didn't order any cookies?"
you and joon look at each other, exchanging a smile before turning back to the two men.
"they're on the house," joon beams.
"oh?"
"you guys have been coming here quite regularly for the past couple of weeks," joon explains, "it's a little thank-you treat for the support."
"we really do appreciate it," you add.
"well, in that case," seungmin cleared his throat, "thank you so much."
"we also appreciate it–how hard you work and all," jisung pipes up rather awkwardly in his opinion.
as seungmin and jisung walk towards the front doors of the cafe, they both turn back to wave toward you and joon who stand at different stations behind the counter, bidding you two goodbye.
"thank you, have a good day!" joon waves.
"we hope to see you again soon!"
…
as the weeks went by, the cafe visits went by as well.
sometimes jisung would go alone, sitting in the cafe for a bit to clear his mind in between work while sipping on a beverage and taking small bites of dessert. other times seungmin or another member would offer to tag along, also wondering why jisung would choose to go to a cafe a couple minutes away instead of the one on the first floor of their workplace. however, the members chalked it up to the quality of the drinks and desserts, finding them to surpass those of the cafe at the office.
unlike before, jisung didn't need to be accompanied by seungmin to increase the universe's chances of finding you behind the counter. it was rare but on the rare occasion that you'd be working the same day jisung would come in for his regular order, you would engage in small talk when you were done cleaning up behind the counter and not attending to other customers.
"good morning jisung, the usual today as well?"
"am i that predictable?"
"maybe our americano and cheesecake is just that good."
"hmm… you're right about that, but no cheesecake today, i'll go for a chocolate muffin."
"look at you, changing it up, making things interesting."
"i'm full of surprises, y/n."
"one day it's cheesecake, another day a muffin. maybe another day you'll be getting something else?"
sometimes small talk in passing became conversations where he'd learn more about you and small details of your life you were willing to tell him.
through these conversations, he learned that you work two jobs to make enough money to move out of your parents' house and somewhere closer to your university campus–cutting down the commute time and translating it into study time. you'd noticed how beneficial that extra couple of hours was over your first year when your friends in the city let you stay over for a couple nights. since it's the summertime, you can pick up more shifts at your other job, which pays a bit more than the cafe job, and any free days are taken over by a cafe shift.
it's also through these conversations that jisung's intrigue and interest in you has grown.
when he first saw you, he was already curious and wanted to get to know you because of how you caught his eye. now, you've caught his attention and his ear as he wants to learn more about you, your life, your personality–just you as a whole.
it's safe to say he's moved on from a surface-level attraction to a pretty stranger and into crushing hard on that cute stranger, wanting to dig below that surface and uncover what you're willing to show him. the more he learns about you, the more he has yet to discover as the questions keep coming. the more he learns, the more interested jisung becomes in you.
of course, you've also taken the time in those conversations to ask jisung about himself and his life but he keeps the information sparse and omits some details. it's left you even more curious and wondering, wanting to know more about the boy who comes into the cafe whose order you have memorized.
what you've been told is that jisung interns for a company as a media producer and that he's one of many producer interns on a team under a big company.
he could say it's a strategy to leave you wanting more, to leave you guessing, but it's really because of his job. he wants to open up to you and let you in so you can get to know him, but he holds himself back. with the career jisung is in, the risks of being open are much greater than they would be for someone in a less publicized job.
jisung doesn't want his job to shift the way you see him and treat him. he wants you to treat him as jisung, the boy from the cafe who loves iced americanos and cheesecake. he doesn't want you to treat him as a person of importance in the music industry; he doesn't want to be treated like a celebrity.
maybe it's the fact that jisung has a crush on you that sways his judgement when he wants to think that you aren't the type of person to go blabbing to the tabloids about how an idol asked for your phone number–exposing each and every detail of who, what, where and when. nevertheless, jisung wants to trust you.
its a friday morning when jisung walks into the cafe; he knows you don't work on fridays so he's shocked to see you in the cafe when he steps inside–the shock evident in his wide brown eyes. you aren't standing behind the counter but sat at one of the tables near the window with your laptop in front of you, but jisung still wasn't expecting to see you here today. you exchange a warm, lopsided smile as he walks over to the table you're seated at, slowly dragging the chair out and taking a seat.
"what brings you here?" you wonder, leaning your weight on your palm, your elbow propped up on the table as you look at the man sitting across from you.
"the usual," he shrugs, "need my coffee fix. how about you? you don't work here on friday‘s?“
you nod with a tired sigh, "that's right. can't believe you remembered that." a lazy chuckle slips through your lips, "another late start at the other job, figured i'd come here and get some stuff done before i'm holed up there 'till five in the evening."
jisung watches as your fingers curl around the handle of the mug, lifting it off the table and to your lips to take a brief sip of–what smells to be hot chocolate–before gently placing the mug on the table next to your laptop.
"how long have you been here?" he asks, you shift your eyes to the analog clock at the top right corner of your laptop.
"hmm… since around seven?"
his eyes practically bulge out of his head, "the cafe isn't open until eight."
"yeah, i got here when aera did," jisung turns to see the short brunette behind the counter before turning back to you, "helped her a bit with pre-opening and then took a seat down here."
"your bosses here must love you, free labour," he teases.
"that's what aera said before she made me sit my ass down here."
the girl behind the counter's ears perk up at the sound of her name, a loud "hmm?" catching both your's and jisung's attention, your heads snapping in her direction. the girl blinks, a wet mug in one hand and a drying rag in the other as she stares at you both. the cafe falls quiet with the three of you exchanging looks before jisung waves at her, the girl waving back with the hand holding the rag before going back to drying the ceramic dish in the other.
you and jisung exchange eye contact before a short fit of giggles erupts from the both of you, now sitting up straight and facing the other.
"you didn't wanna take the late start as an opportunity to sleep in?" jisung wonders, leaning his weight on the table.
you shake your head, "i did that the last time and almost ended up late for work."
he sucks in a sharp breath to which you kiss your teeth with a nod.
"yeah, at least i'm up and ready to get to work while i'm here," you say, taking another sip of your hot chocolate before making a belated realization: " i should let you get your usual order. i don't wanna keep you too long since you probably have to get back to work too."
jisung nods his head with a sigh, pushing himself up off the chair and bidding you a smile under his mask. when he's turned around, you've put your headphones back in too.
he knows he needs to get back to the company building so they can continue with recording and dance practices before they're off to do some interviews and radio shows gearing up for their next comeback–the company doing what it can to promote its rookie boy group. it's a bittersweet feeling, as he does enjoy his job, but he doesn't want to stop talking to you.
jisung and aera engage in small talk as he orders, the barista tapping away on the pos screen in between to make sure she's got everything right even though he orders the same thing every time. her ears perk up this time when jisung adds something additional to his order–this time, it isn't a cheesecake or a muffin. the completion of the transaction triggers a shrill noise from the card machine, and jisung slips his card back into his wallet while moving to the pickup counter.
meanwhile, you've got both hands wrapped around the warm mug of hot chocolate, your lips resting on the edge of the rim as your eyes graze over your laptop screen. your focus on reading the latest email from the university president regarding changes to academic policies and such results in you just holding the mug up to your lips and not taking a sip.
even after reading the email over twice, you can't grasp what they were getting at. you choose to take a sip of your drink, swipe around on the trackpad to close the email, and switch tabs. at the same time you place the mug back down on the table, jisung is standing across from you with an iced americano in one hand and a wax-lined paper bag in the other. his mask is pulled down, resting under his chin.
this may be the first time you're getting a good look at the man without a mask covering half of his face. of course he's slipped it down before to take sips of his drink as he leaves the cafe, getting glimpses of his unmasked face for a couple of moments before he's out the cafe doors. however, he's now standing in front of you, allowing you to get a clear look at his face.
you slip one side of your headphones off, holding it between your thumb and pointer finger while you address the man across from you, "the usual, as usual." you tip your chin in the direction of his coffee.
your eyes move to the off-white paper bag in his other hand.
"not a cheesecake this time?" you ask playfully, head cocked at an angle.
he smiles and shakes his head, "i got a cookie this time."
you hum in acknowledgement, "chocolate chip?" he nods, "a good choice."
"actually," jisung begins, "it's for you."
your eyes widen, "what–"
you quickly drop the headphone in your hand as jisung extends his arm, the off-white bag in your own hands before you know it. you glance down at the bag and then up to him.
"wait–"
jisung is quick to cut you off, shaking his head as he starts to make his way to the door, walking backwards. there's a cheeky smile on his lips.
"you got here early, and are working so hard," he explains, "a free cookie, you deserve it."
"thank you, but ji–"
he waves you off the moment he hears the word 'but.' you open your mouth to speak again but he's already rushing out of the cafe. the loud tingling of the bell hanging above the door catches aera's attention from behind the counter where she was cleaning, both of the girls now looking at the entrance, where the door closes slowly. aera looks over to you, moving closer in your direction from behind the bar where you sit perplexed with a slack jaw.
"–i already get the cookies here for free…"
aera sets the cleaning rag down as she leans on the counter, "whats that?" she gestures to the wax-lined paper bag in your hand, a knowing smirk on her face.
"a cookie."
"he gave you his cookie?" you nod and aera coos, "how sweet."
"i mean…" you blink slowly, staring at the bag in your hands. you purse your lips, trying to hold back a shy smile, "yeah, sweet."
…
another couple of weeks fly by without any run-ins between you and jisung, whenever you're on shift he doesn't come by and vice versa. regardless of whether you had the opportunity to see him, every time you saw a cookie–it didn't even have to be the cookies that the cafe sells–you were reminded of jisung and his gesture.
the sight of the sweet snack popped an image of the boy and his bright, mischievous smile as he ran out of the cafe before you could even explain that you get the cookies for free since you work here. however, aera and mia argue that even if he knew that for a fact, he still would have bought the cookie for you as a sweet gesture.
pushing the front door open with your hip, hands stretched up to your head as you collect your hair into a ponytail, you walk into the cafe greeting mia who waves at you from behind the counter with a lopsided smile–the hair tie held between your teeth. there are one or two customers in the cafe whose attention shifted to you for a moment when the bells chimed before going back to their own business, paying no mind when you walk by where they're seated on the way to the bar.
"good afternoon, miss y/n," mia greets with a bright smile, arms crossed as she leans on the counter.
the girl chuckles when you mumble back an afternoon greeting, and the hair tie between your teeth makes it hard to speak clearly.
you split your ponytail in two, pulling the sections to adjust the style before redoing your afternoon greeting, speaking clearly, "afternoon madam mia, to what do i owe this pleasure to?"
mia rolls her eyes playfully as she nods her head in the direction of the back area of the cafe, blocked off to the customers as they keep storage and stock there. you walk toward the bathrooms, going into the back through the staff door and retrieving your apron off the hooks. you notice new boxes stacked on each other, calling out your name to be counted and organized for inventory later on while you're on the move, adjusting your apron.
"when was inventory delivered?" you ask mia as you walk through the curtains, joining her behind the bar.
she hums, thinking, "last night before closing? since it was so late–joon and kino were literally about to lock up when the delivery arrived–they had to stack them up in the back and leave it for us today."
you click your tongue, shaking your head at the explanation, and mia makes a sound in agreement, sharing your sentiment without words.
"i did most of it earlier–the ones i could carry on my own," she states, walking over to the sink to rinse the towel under hot water before ringing it out, "i'll need your help with the rest."
you nod, tying the straps of your apron together behind your back, and survey the area behind the bar, looking for something to do.
"you can bring out some more cookies," mia says.
you turn to find a mischievous look in her eyes.
she puts her hands up, feigning innocence, "what? i'm just giving you a task."
at that moment, the bell hanging above the entrance jingles as a customer or two enter the cafe. mia, already standing facing the door sees the customers who come in before you do.
"speaking of cookies," she smirks, occupying herself by rinsing the towel again.
you turn to face the entrance, walking toward the cash register and are met with the familiar eyes of jisung's. behind him, seungmin trails into the cafe, also clad in a mask as usual. the two men walk up to the cash register, but only jisung ends up standing before you as seungmin excuses himself to the bathroom, bidding you a wave before walking off.
"long time no see," you greet jisung, whose eyes light up at the realization that you have noticed his absence, "the usual today as well?"
jisung hums as he thinks, "if i ask you to surprise me, how would that go?"
you shrug, "who knows? never know until you try."
he claps his hands together, nodding his head, "i like that mindset–surprise me."
you shake your head with a smile, punching in his order and sending the transaction to the card machine to complete the payment. he walks to the pickup counter, leaning on the wall-mounted tables across from it as he waits for seungmin to come out from the bathroom. meanwhile, you pause momentarily as you think of what to "surprise" him with, standing in front of the coffee machine with your brows knit together while mia takes seungmin's order.
the two men engage in conversation as they wait for their order to be completed and handed off to them at the pickup counter, discussing the details of a movie they watched a couple nights ago and parts that stood out to them.
standing beside the pastries, one of the off-white wax-lined paper bags sits on the counter in front of you, empty as you call over to mia, "do we have a permanent marker or something?"
"let me check in the drawer."
you mumble out a quick thanks before scribbling something on the back of the paper bag before sliding on a pair of food-safe gloves to retrieve the dessert that will be going into the bag.
the beverages ordered by the two men are sitting at the pickup counter, waiting to be handed off. the rest of their order sitting in two paper bags in your hands. you double-check to make sure you're pairing the correct food and drink together before calling the respective customer.
you call over to seungmin first, sliding his order closer to the opposite end of the counter for him to pick up along with napkins and a straw. when jisung walks up to the counter, seungmin is ripping the paper open to retrieve the straw from the inside, sliding it into the lid and tossing the waste into a nearby bin. you feel your body warm up as you slide jisung's order closer to him, fighting the clamminess of your hand and sliding the paper bag over to him.
you bid him a smile, jisung takes a look at his "surprise" order, eyes scanning over the items. it's his regular iced americano, minus the cheesecake, replaced by whatever is inside the wax-lined bag.
"how'd you know i liked iced americanos?" he teases, and you play along, shrugging with a shy smile.
"good guess?"
he peeks inside the wax-lined bag to find a chocolate chip cookie sitting inside, reminding him of the last time he saw you, a smile playing on the corner of his lips. he looks at you and then at mia, bidding you both a goodbye and good day before him, and seungmin are out the doors, on the way back to work.
seungmin takes a sip of his drink through the straw, looking over a jisung, "what'd you get?"
the slightly older boy holds up the bag, "cookie."
"is that your thing now? you exchange cookies?" seungmin teases, a playful smile on his lips.
jisung rolls his eyes, "i mean—shit!"
seungmin stops in his tracks when jisung hurls forward, tripping over something. thankfully, he caught himself fast enough that he didn't end up falling on the sidewalk, what did end up falling was the paper bag with the cookie inside and a bit of his iced americano when he tightened his grip around it, squeezing some of the beverage out.
seungmin looks around the pavement, trying to identify what caused jisung to trip, only to be met with the flat cement, "how did you manage to trip over nothing?" seungmin scoffs with a chuckle, eyes then moving to jisung's feet that are clad in chunky shoes. he clicks his tongue, "never mind, i see it now."
jisung doesn't reply, staring at the pavement.
"are you okay?" seungmin finally asks, wondering why the boy wasn't coming up with a snarky reply or spitting out a flustered excuse with embarrassment. he blinks at the boy who stares at the pavement, jisung points to the bag.
seungmin tears his eyes off his band member, eyes following the direction jisung points at. the wax-lined paper bag sits empty on the pavement floor, the cookie–now broken into pieces–sitting nearby, and ants are beginning to make their way over to the dessert.
"are you that up–" he stops himself with a quiet gasp of realization.
jisung isn't fixated on the fact his cookie is broken and being stolen bit by bit by ants; he's fixated on the off-white, wax-lined paper bag that had fallen out of his hands face down. the backside of the plain bag faced up to the sky, a message scribbled in the corner with a permanent marker.
'+82 02 xxxx yyyy, thanks for the cookie :) - y/n'

May 8th- Hobby
John opened the door to the apartment and was met with a symphony of noises coming from the kitchen.
Splash. Crash. "Whoops." Bang.
"Sherlock!" He bemoaned, "I just cleaned up your experiment from yesterday, this morning."
He heard the sound of a pan hitting a rack in the oven. Oh Jesus, he's about to set the flat on fire. John burst through the door to the kitchen to reveal chaos and experiments.
However, this time not those of his husband.
Rosie wore an apron that was covered in flour, a bowl in one hand, an electric mixer in the other. Batter dripped from the mixer paddle onto the floor as she moved across the kitchen. Rosie set the bowl down on the table where Sherlock sat. He dipped a finger into the batter and licked it clean.
"Hm, could do with less salt, I think." Sherlock analyzed.
"Ah," John let out, realizing what was happening, "Didn't know Rosie's bake shop was opening up in our kitchen." John was quite pleased his daughter chose such a delicious hobby, he just wished it didn't mean nonstop experiments in the kitchen. "It looks like The Bear in here."
"Why would there be a bear in central London?" Sherlock asked, his eyebrows knitting together.
"Dad, we need more baking powder, please." Rosie announced, placing a kiss on his cheek as she continued moving through the kitchen.
"Alright then, I'm off to the shops." John started off.
His kitchen would never be clean. He couldn't be happier.

Authors note: Hello love, thanks for the request! I hope you like it and it fits your expectations! I might have changed it a little bit, so I hope that's okay!
I'm finally back, and I can't wait to write again!
Enjoy!
You couldn't stand her.
Her perfect face, her perfect hair and that perfect toothpaste smile she always sent his way.
She was like a virus that slowly made its way between you and John.
It all started, when you met Grace Sawyer at the hospital. She and John knew each other, which should have been a warning right at the beginning.
That they used to date, having a lot of unspoken things still between them after their nasty break up, was something he only told you afterwards.
She was nice, there was no denying it - something you hated even more.
She managed to wrap someone around her finger in just a matter of seconds, sinking her fangs into their flesh.
Yet, it only took a few hours for you to already hate her.
"You know that I love you, right?" he asked, tilting his head at your behavior since you met Grace. "Sure." you simply retorted, continuing your work on the cake in front of you.
John couldn't help but roll his eyes, shaking his head at you. He knew you didn't like his ex, yet he didn't understand where your hatred for her came from.
"We just talked." he tried to scratch the topic yet again, glancing at you, as he searched for his keys. "Whilst she practically undressed you with her eyes." you retorted, sprinkling the chocolate chips onto the frosting of the cake.
You didn't even bother to hide your frustration anymore, not when he wouldn't catch onto it anyways.
"Are you gonna stay angry at me?" He strolled over, looking down at the cake. He seemed to contemplate something, and when his hand sneaked forward and towards the cake, you glared at him.
Biting his lip, he pulled it back, instead leaning on his elbows on the counter.
"Try it and I'll kill you." you threatened, the chocolate sprinkles in your hand already starting to melt.
He huffed. "Is there any reason you're baking a cake?" he wanted to know, tilting his head as he watched you. "No, but if you want to, we can give it to Grace as a 'welcome back in John's life' gift."
He exhaled loudly, groaning afterwards. He was starting to get frustrated as well.
"If you're jealous, then say it." he challenged you, causing your eyes to snap up to his. "Pardon?"
He smirked, fueling the raging fire inside your belly even more.
"Jealous?" you fumed, throwing the sprinkles back into their container. "I'm jealous? You are the one that's eye fucking your ex, being too speechless at her beauty or whatever. I'm not jealous, John. I'm just not blind."
He seemed taken aback for a moment, as the coin must have finally dropped for him.
"You think I was-" he had to cut himself off, not believing you actually said that. Eye fucking - His ex.
"Is that the reason you're like this since yesterday? I was just friendly, after all I haven't seen her in twenty years! I told you what happened back then."
You huffed, wiping your hands on a towel.
"Yeah, I just never thought I'd get to meet the infamous Grace Sawyer." you gave back, starting to clean the counter angrily. "Who's a doctor, looks like a goddess and smiles like she's making advertises for toothpaste."
Now he huffed, fingers tapping on the counter. He tried to stay calm, he really did. But it was like he talked to a wall.
"And now you think that I'd leave you for her?" he wanted to know, secretly voicing what you thought, but never would have dared to say out loud.
"Reignite an old flame? Baby, I love you, and only you."
He stepped around the counter, as you stopped in your movement, sighing to yourself. You knew holding onto your anger and jealousy wouldn't get you far - in fact you were walking in circles with it.
But you were too damn stubborn.
"Come on, Y/N." he spoke softly, turning you around to face him. "I love you. Please don't say things like that. Do you really think I'd prefer her over you?"
Cocking a brow, you looked up at him, crossing your arms over your chest.
He mimicked the action, tilting his head.
"She's a doctor? Great for her!" he continued, huffing. "You're a damn cop. You're the only one that understands me - this life. I love you for who you are, I love you more than anything. I'd marry you on the spot, if you'd want that."
Your eyes widened in shock, hip banging against the counter, as your body jerked back at his words.
His own eyes widened as well, as he realized what he'd just said.
But he'd never take it back.
"You want me to marry you?" you breathed, a feeling cursing through your veins that you couldn't quite place yet - but it was a good one.
A very good one.
He scratched the back of his neck, before he nodded slowly. "Yes, even though I'd intended to propose in a more romantic way."
Swallowing, your eyes filled with tears of happiness. Biting your lip to keep them at bay, you waited for him to continue.
Clearing his throat, he dug through his pants pockets, before he held up a finger. "Hold on a sec."
Giggling, you watched him disappear into your shared bedroom. Something heavy fell to the floor and he cursed, before he returned, fumbling with something small in his hands.
He inhaled shakily, tapping the small box against his palm a few times. Then he exhaled deeply, sinking onto one knee, looking up at you.
Tears streamed down your face, as your lips split in a broad smile. The sight calmed John's nerves a bit.
"Y/N Y/L/N, you're the love of my life." he began, holding the small, velvety box in his hands, slowly opening it. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so please will you do me the honor and marry me?"
Laughing in glee, you nodded. "Yes- yes, I would love to!" you spoke, falling down onto your knees to hug him.
He sighed in relief, hugging you back.
"I only want you, Y/N. Please never question that again." he pleaded, grabbing your upper arms and holding you at arms length to look in your eyes.
"I don't care about Grace. I hope you know that now."
Your cheeks flared up in embarrassment, nodding, but still smiling at him. "I know, John. I'm sorry I was so jealous."
He smiled back, one of his hands slowly sliding the beautiful ring onto your finger. "Don't worry about it, I'm glad you were."
Rolling your eyes, you huffed.
"Sure you were."

can we get a curtis sister? she's a year younger than ponyboy and maybe her interactions with darry and soda and the rest of the gang. from when she was little to now?
Authors Note! Yesss anon omg!! my first platonic fic!! I always loved the idea of the Curtis's having a younger sister 🥺 Also Jason's face in the pic is 🔥🔥🔥
"We stick together, 'cause each other's all we got"
The Curtis Brothers (+the gang) x fem younger curtis!reader
Reader referred to as "Baby" & "Babygirl"
You were born a year after Ponyboy, making you the youngest and the only girl. When you were little, Darry was always hesitant bringing you around his friends. Soc or Greaser, he was afraid you were gonna get hurt. The same thing with Sodapop and Ponyboy. You and Ponyboy always hung out. From the minute you were born, he had a connection with you. You two hung out so much, everyone thought that you were twins. And for a while, you two were convinced that you actually were twins. Until your mom told you both you weren't.
There was this one day, that you remember so vividly. Like it had happened just yesterday. You were six, Ponyboy was 7, Sodapop was 9, and Darry was either 13 or 14. You were alone, riding your bike on the sidewalk as any other 6 year old does. Your dad was at work and you mother was at home, probably baking. You couldn't remember. You didn't remember much of your mom. Or your dad. Though they had died when you were 10 or 11, you had to grow up quick. And all the memories just kind of, washed away.
Anyway, you were riding your bike when an uneven part of the sidewalk was coming up. You didn't see it, and you went over it. It threw off your balance and made you fall off the bike, causing you to scrap your knee in the process. Thankfully, the house was right there. So when you called out for Darry, tears brimming your eyes at the stinging sensation on your knee, you best believe he came out immediately.
"Darry!" You had cried out, holding your leg as it bled. Your heard a door slam, alongside a bunch of scrambling footsteps. When you looked up, you saw Ponyboy, Darry and Soda. With tears in your eyes, Darry picked you up, while Soda took your bike back to the backyard. Pony walked with you and Darry, holding your hand and squeezing it in reassurance. They had brought you to the couch, where your mother had patched up your knee. She gave it it a soft kiss before walking back to where she had been before. Your brothers all sat with you, cheering you up in many way. Soda was just rambling away, while Ponyboy rested his head on your lap and Darry was, well you don't really remember what he was doing.
Cut to a few years later when your parents had died. Everyone had taken it hard, especially you. You had just lost the only woman figure in your life, and your brothers felt bad for you. You went from this once joyful and cheery kid, to a shy and quiet teenager. It was like all your innocence was lost the day they had died. You had lost your spark, and your brothers didn't know what to do.
You were still a good kid of course, getting good grades and pushing yourself to the limit. But sometimes ,it was just exhausting. You were 13 now, Ponyboy was 14, Soda was 16, and Darry was 20. You'd get home, always the first one there because Ponyboy was off with Johnny. You'd do your homework, start on the laundry and clean up the house as best as you could, before your brothers and the gang came back.
All had seemed lost, til Ace came around. Sure she was Soda's age, but she had grown a bond with you. She taught you things that your mother would have taught you, like how to shave your legs and do your hair. You had gained a little bit of your spark back, which made all your brothers happy... to some extent.
You got along with the gang just fine, mostly spending your time with Ace and Two-Bit. You didn't really like going home, because that just meant more work for you. You loved friday nights. One, it was the start of the weekends. Two, you got to go to the nightly double with Ace and Two-Bit. Sure, they'd kind of forget about you because they were making out under a bench, but you still liked going.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was friday evening, and Darry had gotten home a little earlier than he normally would be. You and Ponyboy sat on the couch, watching tv while Soda was in the kitchen doing God knows what. Ace had invited you to the drive in last minute, and you were hesitant to go this time around because recently, you had started getting bullied by some older girls. You didn't tell them of course because, you didn't want them to worry. You didn't want to burden them with your issues, especially Darry. He already had enough on his plate.
But, you decided to go because maybe things would be different this time.
"Dar, can I can to the drive in tonight?"
"Who you goin' with?"
"Ace and Two-Bit."
After a moment, Darry nodded his head as he spoke.
"Yeah baby, you can go. Just make sure your back home by curfew."
Soon enough, Two-Bit and Ace came to pick you up. A smile on Two-Bit's face, alongside Ace's as you got in in the car.
"Hey baby!" Two-Bit said, patting your head gently as Ace spoke up.
"Wow, look at you babygirl. Where'd ya get the shirt from?"
"It was pony's, I cut it to make it shorter" You said, in reference to your cut off t-shirt.
"It looks cute, m'gonna have to start givin' you some of my old clothes."
~ Later on at the drive in ~
You were alone once more, Two-Bit and Ace doing God knows what. You sat alone on a bench, a few other greaser behind you while the Soc's sat in their cars. You were perfectly fine until some Soc girls came up to you, coincidentally, the Soc girls who were bullying you.
"Hey grease, what are ya doin' out here all alone?" One of them said, a small smirk on her face.
"I ain't alone, m'with my friends." You replied, looking down at your lap as if your life depended on it.
"Oh, ya mean the ones who are making out under the bench?" Another replied, causing the others laugh. Gosh their laughs were so stupid. You didn't reply, simply looking down at your lap, praying that they would go away.
"Hey, look at me when I'm talkin' to you..dirty greaser-"
"Excuse me?!" A voice came from behind you. It was Ace. Thank God- but also..Shit.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On the way home from the ride, Ace had made you confess on all the stuff the Soc girls had done to you. Two-Bit offered support, alongside Ace. But Ace, she was just plain pissed.
Every single person in the gang was protective of you. Because you were so young and you were the only other girl. They wanted you to have a good life, and this was not it. Darry didn't want you growing up without a mother. Sodapop wished you talked more, and Ponyboy misses being so close to you.
Ever since that day, Ace had helped you work on your communication skills. You began getting closer with your brothers again, and with the rest of the gang.
You walked with Johnny to and from his house, taking him to your and your brothers home whenever his parents were fighting.
Dally taught you how to fight, and made you and official greaser (despite Darry's wishes.)
Steve taught you about cars, even going as far as teaching you how to fix certain things.
Sodapop always took care of you. Whether you were sick, or having a breakdown, he was there for you. He would nap with you, make jokes with you, he even learned how to braid hair just for you.
Ace continued teaching you things that a mother would. Like little makeup hacks, hair care tips since your hair was a little frizzy/a little curly. She had become like an older sister to you. You two always gossiped and talked about things girls did, especially since you both were always surrounded by boys.
Two-Bit taught you how to steal, even though you never actually did because you didn't want to end up anywhere that wasn't home.
You and Ponyboy got close again, and did everything that twins would do. He would read to you, and you would teach him about certain things. Things like that would help him understand you more.
Darry and you often tackled chores together. Folding laundry, doing the dishes, and even cooking. He helped you with your homework, comforted you when you needed it, and etc.
It was safe to safe, that you had grown closer with all of them and adapted to your life. Because they were all you had. And you wouldn't trade it for the world.
Authors Note: hi babiesss!! sorry this took so long to upload, I kept procrastinating this for like no reason... 😘

SNACKS ~
-The one where Gavi ate all of the snacks and Pedri and Y/N took care of gavi”
Pedri and Y/N had been dating for a while and decided to move in together. They found a cozy apartment in the heart of the city and settled in. They loved spending time together and enjoyed their new home. They loved each other's company, and it was nice having someone to come home to after work.
Their friend Pablo Gavi was always hanging out at their house. He loved to come over and play video games with them. He was a bit of a foodie and loved to eat all of their snacks. One day, Y/N went to the refrigerator to grab a snack, but all of the sweets were gone.
"Pedri, did you eat all of the snacks?" Y/N asked.
"No, I didn't touch them," Pedri replied.
"Then who did?" Y/N asked, looking around the room.
She turned to Gavi, who had just walked in. "Gavi, did you eat all the candy?" she asked.
Gavi hesitated. "Um, no, I didn't eat all of it."
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "Then who did?"
Pedri shook his head. "Don’t look at me amor, I didn't touch it."
Y/N frowned. "Well, clearly someone did. We had a whole bag of candy yesterday, and now it's all gone."
Gavi looked guilty. "Okay guys, I might have had a few pieces."
Y/N rolled her eyes. "A few pieces? Gavi, you ate the whole bag!"
Gavi laughed nervously. "Okay, okay, you caught me. I have a sweet tooth, what can I say?"
Y/N sighed. "Gavi, you can't keep eating all of our food. You need to save some for us," she said.
"Sorry, Y/N. I just can't resist your snacks. They're too good," Gavi said with a grin.
Pedri chuckled. "It's okay, man. We'll just have to buy more candy next time. You're lucky we love you, hermano. Otherwise, we might have to kick you out," he joked.
Y/N nodded. "Yeah, you’re lucky we love you."
Gavi chuckled. "I know."
They all settled down on the couch, with Gavi in the middle. Y/N snuggled up to Pedri, and Gavi put his feet up on the coffee table.
As they watched a movie together, they teased each other and laughed at each other's jokes. It was moments like these that made their friendship so special.
During the movie, Y/N got up to make some popcorn. "Anyone want some popcorn?" she asked.
Gavi and Pedri both nodded, and Y/N went into the kitchen to make the popcorn. As she was doing so, she heard Gavi and Pedri whispering to each other.
"What are you guys talking about?" she asked, coming back into the living room.
Pedri shrugged. "Nothing."
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "You guys are up to something.”
Pedri grinned. "We were just talking about how cute you are when you're making popcorn."
Y/N rolled her eyes. “You guys are such a dork”
————————————————————-
One evening, they were having a small dinner party. Gavi had brought over his mom’s famous paella, Pedri had made a delicious salad, and Y/N had baked a cheesecake for dessert. They were all sitting around the table, laughing and chatting, when Gavi suddenly got up and went to the kitchen.
"What are you doing, Gavi?" Y/N asked.
"I'm just going to get some more wine," Gavi replied.
A few minutes later, he returned to the table, carrying a large platter of cheese and crackers.
Y/N shook her head “Just some more wine? really, Gavi?”
“Hey I thought we could use some more snacks," he said with a grin.
Pedri and Y/N laughed. "You're always thinking about food, Gavi," Pedri said.
Gavi shrugged. "What can I say? I love to eat!"
They continued to enjoy their dinner party, chatting about everything from football to politics. As the night wore on, they started to get a little tipsy from all the wine. Gavi was telling a story about a crazy night out he had when he suddenly knocked over his glass, spilling wine all over the table.
"Oops, sorry about that," he said, grabbing a napkin to clean up the mess.
Y/N laughed. "You're such a mess," she teased.
Gavi grinned. "I know, but you guys love me anyway," he said.
Pedri and Y/N exchanged a look and smiled. "Yes, we do," they said in unison.
As the night came to a close, Gavi helped them clean up the kitchen. He was always willing to lend a hand and never wanted to overstay his welcome.
"Thanks for another great night, guys," he said as he headed out the door, a little tipsy.
"Whoa hold on right there kiddo, no no no you're not going to drive in this state," Y/N said firmly, holding out her hand to stop him.
Pedri chimed in, concerned. "Yeah, hermano, you've had a bit too much to drink."
Gavi protested, "No, I'm fine. I can drive."
Y/N shook her head. "No, no, no. There’s no way we're letting you drive. You're staying here tonight."
Pedri agreed, coming over to Gavi. "Y/N's right, Gavi. You're not in any condition to drive. Let's get you settled."
With a sigh and a grin, Gavi relented. "Alright, alright. You guys win."
Pedri and Y/N each took one of Gavi's arms and helped him stand up. "Bedtime for you, kiddo," Y/N said playfully.
Pedri chuckled. "Yeah, you're crashing on the couch tonight."
But Gavi's eyes grew heavy as they led him to the couch. "Actually, guys, I'm feeling really tired. Can I get a bed please..?” Gavi asked, his words slightly slurred.
Y/N laughed softly. "Alright then, guest bedroom it is."
With a little more effort, they managed to guide Gavi to their spare bedroom. He plopped down on the bed with a contented sigh.
"Thanks for taking care of me, you two. You guys are the best," Gavi mumbled, his words already starting to slur.
Pedri grinned. "No problem, hermano. Just get some rest."
As Y/N covered Gavi with a blanket, she teased, "Looks like we're taking care of our own little kid tonight."
Gavi chuckled sleepily. "Yeah, yeah. Goodnight, mami y papi."
Pedri and Y/N exchanged amused glances as they left the room. As they headed to their own bedroom, they couldn't help but smile. Taking care of Gavi might be a handful, but they wouldn't have it any other way.

This is your sign to get That Thing that you've thought would be useful for a long time, but didn't think you should get it for whatever reason. This is the sign to get that thing.
I bought a shower chair, a phone holder for the shower, and a powered scrubber. And my life is forever changed.
Context: I've been pretty open about how, for the past year or so, I've been increasingly struggling with bathing. I used to shower roughly every other day, and gradually that became about once a week, and then further, and then to the point where I genuinely don't know how often I've been bathing. It's just been deodorant and dry shampoo for a long, long time.
This is because I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and dissociative issues. Everything way is way more mentally and physically taxing with CFS, and the dissociation makes it doubly hard to focus. My phone would be blasting some video outside the shower to keep me present, but afterwards I'd still be exhausted for at least the rest of the day.
I got around the problem a little by taking "spit baths" or "bird baths", basically washing the important parts in the sink. Then I'd use deodorant for the rest (which, as long as I semi-regularly changed my clothes, went well /gen). I went a long time using primarily these methods, as it uses overall less energy than a full shower.
But smelling good and being basically hygienic ≠ feeling clean. I was getting the important parts, but I only ever feel clean when I've thoroughly showered.
So. After a great deal of consideration, I decided to get a shower chair and a water-resistant phone holder, and while I was on the webpage, I saw a neat powered body scrubber thingy I've always wanted, and ordered it in the spur of the moment. The phone holder arrived yesterday, the chair and scrubber today.
I've included some reference pictures for anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about
And today, I finally took a shower with all the little things I've wanted. The phone holder and the shower chair and the electric scrubber thingy and. Holy shit. I feel better after this shower than any shower I've had in well over a year. Maybe even two years at this point.
It was a little awkward at first, I'm not used to sitting in the shower, but once I got used to everything it was an overall amazing experience.
I actually started laughing at some point, because all those things I've wanted, but for some reason had been afraid of getting, made it so much easier that it felt absurd and delightful and I enjoyed bathing for once!!
Once the shower was over, I grabbed the towel and sat on the shower chair to dry, something new for me. And, once I got out, I immediately got changed into fresh clothes instead of spending hours laying in bed recuperating.
I went and made myself dinner just now!!! Granted, it was just microwave baked beans, but I can never cook after bathing!!!
Anyway I'm sitting here drying and cozy in my usual Warm Things and feeling very, very happy about my purchases.
The moral of this story is that if you have the ability to get something that you suspect will make your life easier, get it.
It doesn't matter whether you're sick or not, it doesn't matter if you're diagnosed, it doesn't matter if you can technically get by without it. It doesn't matter if the thing is for "old people" and you're young, it doesn't matter if it's for disabled people and you're not sure if you "count" because you "only have" [the mental or physical issue that's affecting you].
Get the fucking thing. If it will make your life better, you should get it. It won't be a waste of money if it makes you less miserable, whatever it is.
Do not deny yourself the tools you need to live comfortably and happily.
You have my permission and my endorsement, if that means anything to you.
Xxx. Pansy
P.s. stay tuned because I'll be getting a powered wheelchair or scooter in the coming months. The moment I figure out how to do it, I will. I should have gotten one when I was first diagnosed but I didn't. I will not be repeating my past mistakes and denying myself the tools I need to live comfortably and happily.

I need a lovelight pumpkin patch story!! Pumpkin patch, corn maze or maybe just hay bales, piping hot cider. Sophie's apple cider donuts, along with other fall offerings! Romantic apple picking, maybe bobbing for apples? Although that's unsanitary. Whatever strikes your fancy!
You know what? Me too! All the fall feels! While I have a plan for a lovelights au fic that spans all seasons and will touch on the chaotic festivals that happen in Aubrey, here’s a small snippet of the annual corn maze race a year after that planned fic 😉
October 2024
Autumn in Aubrey was perhaps her favorite time of year.
“You say that about every season,” Sophie replied, smiling knowingly as she packed up some freshly made apple cider donuts into a box.
Kate sighed happily. Yeah, that was true.
It didn’t matter what time of year— she loved it here.
The back door of the bakehouse swung open then, revealing Anthony and Benedict holding two large coffee/tea dispensers.
“Ms. Agatha wants these back first thing,” Anthony told them as he and his brother placed the containers on the countertop, ready to be filled with Sophie homemade apple cider (a kid’s version and an adult version.) “And cleaned ‘properly.’”
From the way Anthony’s face was pinched, Kate knew the old woman hadn’t released her containers easily, even though she was joining them tonight.
Sophie must have known it too, by how she rolled her eyes. “Yeah, yeah.”
It had been two years since Ms. Agatha insulted Sophie for over-mixing her batter, and she had not let it go. A slow, low burning rivalry simmered between the two women and as much as Kate would love for them to reconcile, she could not help but enjoy the by-product of their feud—exceptionally delicious baked goods. Which she was enjoying more than ever, recently.
“Nearly ready?” Ben asked after they ladled the drinks into their containers (Ben probably pouring more liquor than he should in the adult container), and Sophie finished packing the last remaining tray of treats.
“Yep!” Sophie said brightly, gesturing to the eight boxes before her.
“God, Soph. How much did you make?”
Sophie swatted him in the stomach. “Do not judge! Do you know how big your family is? Plus Simon, Mary, Edwina, Ms. Agatha, Michael, John—”
“John isn’t here, he has a game.” Kate informed her, “But I think Eloise brought Penelope with her. And I will happily pick up the slack so there aren't too many leftovers.” She opened a box and pulled out a donut and bit into the sugary goodness and let out a little involuntarily moan. Sophie really was some sort of baking fairy.
“Should we leave you two alone?” Anthony quipped, then dodged Kate’s half-hearted swat in his direction.
“You’re just jealous,” she remarked back, and Anthony merely winked at her as he and Ben filled the drink containers.
“Enough, you two,” Ben interrupted, knowing how far they could take this if left unchecked. “Let’s get going. Everyone’s waiting for us.”
Sophie started to hand her boxes. “Kate, can you carry—?”
“Simon’s coming to help,” Anthony said abruptly, “He can carry them.”
Kate shot her husband a look, but luckily Ben and Sophie did not question him and went on to carry the stuff out of the bakehouse where Simon was approaching, ready to help. They all headed to the field where the rest of their family and friends were waiting. It was late October, and Halloween was approaching. That left only one Bridgerton Family tradition left to do for the fall season— the corn maze. Anthony had finished making it yesterday and everyone had gathered to try it out before they opened it to the public.
While for their guests on the farm, it was supposed to be a nice, leisurely activity, it was anything but this late afternoon. As most things with the Bridgertons, this was a competition. There were two objectives of the game— fastest time, and avoid getting shot by Anthony and his BB gun who acted as the “minotaur”. As the creator of the maze, it was unanimously decided he could not compete. It didn't b matter though. Anthony loved a chance to torment his siblings.
Last year, Colin got so lost in the maze it took him nearly three hours to compete. And by how pale Colin looked right now, maybe he was recalling that fact.
“Colin,” Kate sucked in a breath. “You look awful. Are you okay?”
Colin seemed to blanch, then smiled at her uneasily. “Peachy.”
Kate was about to ask him if he was sure, when Eloise said, “He’s sick.” Anthony discreetly pulled Kate away a few steps, putting some distance between her and his brother. “That’s what you get for doing the apple bobbing at the Fall Festival last week,” Eloise huffed, “In what world did you think that was a good idea? Think of all the germs.”
“The Collins kids went before you I think, and I think he had the flu,” Penelope hummed sympathetically.
Violet piped up then, grimacing. “He most certainly did. He was sick all over me on Tuesday.”
Colin made a little noise then, which Kate was nearly certain was a gag, as he slumped down on a picnic table bench, looking as if he really wanted to be in the fetal position.
“Maybe sit this one out, bud,” Ben said, patting him on the back, and Colin let out a noise in which Kate could only assume he agreed, seeing as standing posed difficulty at this moment.
“Here,” Anthony said, putting a piping cup of cider and a bottle of water in front of him. “Hydrate.”
“Thanks,” Colin half slurred, waving them off, “Go on without me.” He looked at Penelope. “Make sure you win, Pen. I got money on you.”
Penelope pinkened slightly, but nodded.
Kate left Penelope blushing, as Eloise— who was oblivious to her best friend's crush on her brother —started on a tangent about how she was going to win the maze and went to help set up the spread. In a slightly new part of the tradition of the corn maze day, Kate had added a little picnic/buffet situation to the day. Sophie brought the desserts, Violet brought some sort of crockpot/slow roast for sandwiches, Anthony made soup, and Mary brought her butternut squash raviolis and sage sauce.
Kate smiled to herself as she watched her step-mom happily chatting with Violet and Ms Agatha as they laughed over something or other. Mary had moved to Aubrey over the summer and it made her heart happy to have her so close now. Anthony wrapped an arm around her, giving her look as if to say he knew exactly what she was thinking. And he probably did.
“So,” Michael said, slinking up next to them with Edwina and Francesca in tow. “I’m being told that I might be shot at?”
“Yep!” Kate replied brightly, and Michael looked at her like she had gone insane. To be fair, he often gave her this look nowadays. He’s told her multiple times how she’s drank the cool aid on this town.
“Shoot at me Bridgerton and I will kick you in the balls,” Edwina told Anthony, and Anthony's expression tightened a fraction. He knew Edwina well enough that she was dead serious.
“You should probably start warming up,” Kate told him— who in turn looked baffled— then looked at Francesca. “Did you tell him about the hide and seek rules?” His eyes flicked to Michael and Edwina. “There’s no pushing allowed by the way. Instant disqualification.”
Michael shook his head. “The more I hear, the more troubling this becomes.”
“You should see them at Easter,” Kate shook her head. “That’s the real bloodbath. Pushing is allowed then.”
“But no gouging,” Fran helpfully added, obviously enjoying Michael’s despair over these weird family traditions and rules.
“What about shanking?” Michael joked.
Anthony hummed thoughtfully as his brows pulled together. “Not officially, but we should probably write that down. I wouldn’t put it past Eloise.”
“That reminds me,” Kate said, looking at Michael again, “Watch out for Hyacinth, she will go for your kneecaps.”
They all turned to look over at the teenage girl who was a few feet away. Hyacinth saw them and looked Michael dead in the eye, completely deadpan, and proceeded to give him the universal you’re dead gesture. Kate was pretty sure she heard Michael swear under his breath before Hyacinth broke out into giggles and skipped away.
Michael actually started to look nervous then, which was very unlike him. “I need a drink,” he stated, and stalked over to the cider stand.
“I’m gonna get set up,” Anthony said with a kiss to her temple. Kate waved him off, and Edwina and Frannie decided to help themselves to seconds. They asked Kate to come along with them but she waved them off.
She just wanted to stand there for a moment.
Kate took a long, deep breath, enjoying the crispness of the air as she looked around at the beauty around her. They had come to the golden hour, and on this perfect day the vibrant reds, yellows and oranges felt other worldly against the backdrop of the clear blue sky only topped by the breathtaking mouton peaks. The sound of laughter and chatter filled the air as her family and friends mingled and ate. Kate tried to savor the moments like these. It was so easy to walk through life blindly, not even seeing or enjoying moments like these. And she had done it for so many years. She wanted to relish every happy moment that came her way. She wanted to appreciate everything she had.
Kate watched as Daphne split from the group and started to walk her way, two cups in hand. She stopped when she reached Kate and extended a cup to her.
She looked at the cup. “Oh, um,” Kate hesitated, “Which—?”
Daphne laughed, and pushed the cup into her hand. “The normal one, of course. I wouldn’t give the spiked one to you in your condition.”
Kate’s head whipped up. “How did you—?”
Daphne gave her a bemused look. “Anthony isn’t exactly subtle. He hasn’t let you pick up a thing and constantly wants to sit down. Not to mention he walks around like he’s on cloud nine and you smile like you have a special secret. Plus you come to the store once a week to look at baby onesies. And, well…” Daphne laid a hand on her own stomach. “One knows the signs.”
Kate was sure she let out a little squeak when she caught her meaning. “Oh my God, Daphne!”
Daphne hushed her, looking around to see if anyone heard them, but was grinning from ear to ear when she looked back at Kate. “Yeah, we’re really happy. We’ll tell everyone at Thanksgiving.” Daphne looked over to where Simon and Amelia were. Amelia was currently trying to steal the donut Simon had in hand, and she had the cutest pout when Simon moved it away.
She couldn’t wait to watch Anthony be with their own little one.
“When are you telling everyone?” Daphne asked.
“Today,” she replied, “we wanted to wait to get everyone together and tell them in person.” It was hard to get everyone together, especially with Edwina, Michael and Frannie being in the city.
Daphne reached for her hand and gave it a squeeze. “I’m really happy for you both.”
“What are you happy about?” Anthony asked as he walked over to them.
Daphne didn’t say anything, instead smiled knowingly and gave her brother's arm a squeeze before heading back to join her own family.
“What was that about?” Anthony asked quietly, one brow raised as his arm circled her waist.
Kate smiled. “Daphne knows. Apparently we are not inconspicuous.”
Anthony chuckled softly. It was one of her favorite sounds. “Oops. Good thing the cat will be out of the bag by the end of the night.”
Kate leaned her head on his shoulder, smiling to herself. She couldn’t wait. She was fit to burst with this secret.
“I think it’s time,” Anthony murmured, giving her one last gentle squeeze before he stepped away and yelled out to ask if everyone was ready. Kate watched as he walked away, and the excited looks of everyone as they started to ready themselves.
Kate took another look as the sun started to set, the pumpkins they had carved and lit glowing steadily as Simon started to light the couple of fireplaces they had dragged over.
Kate smiled to herself and let out a happy sigh as she pulled her coat more closely around her.
Soon the brilliant colors would fade, leaving the muted browns and grays in their wake as the Earth died and the cold set in.
The nights would become long and the cold would bite, but Kate would barely feel. Not when she was surrounded by all this love.

Bedding Down For The Night (Rhett Abbott x Reader)
Summary: You and Rhett settle in as summer turns to fall
Rhett heaved a heavy sigh as he led the two calves into Abigail's stall for the night, gently guiding the two little dairy calves into the pen with their mother and her mate. He never truly liked when summer ended. Like you, he loved the way the grasses swayed in the breeze, the smells of the flowers after it rained, the sunshine, the heat, the buzz of the cicadas and the sounds of the peepers at night. Of course he loved all the fall smells, the warm dinners on a sharp, chilly night and the baked goods you and Cecelia made for the farmers' markets every year, but Rhett hated the autumn and winter blues that came with the changing of the seasons.
The male calf chewed a little at his shirt sleeve and licked Rhett's hand before he laid right down in the hay. Rhett gave him a playful scratch on the side of the head, kissing the top of it before shuttering the windows and throwing the little latchkey to close the windows and the stall gate on his way out. The horses were all set, as were the goats, the pigs and the chickens, all safe in their barns and stables for the night.
Back to the house he went, the coolness in the air evident and the few scatterings of fallen leaves already on the ground. He couldn't believe that in less than four weeks, Amy would be starting preschool at the outdoorsy-hippie school you taught at. It seemed like only yesterday she was just a tiny baby, taken in by you and Rhett and who she always called "Mommy and Daddy" instead of "Uncle and Auntie". Now she would be starting preschool in September when the leaves would be falling and the threat of winter was looming around the corner.
Up the steps he went, the front door creaking open on its hinges as he walked into the brightly lit home. He knew you were upstairs on strict bedrest but Cecelia was downstairs reading Amy and Hannah a story before dinner time.
"Hey Ma," he greeted.
"Hey Grumpy," Cecelia chuckled when she finished the story.
Amy jumped right up as Hannah carefully climbed her way down the sofa, waddle-running to her father with her Eeyore stuffie in her hands. Amy still had her little circus-clown ragdoll, taking it with her wherever she could possibly go. Luckily, Mrs. Newman and the other teachers at the school told the incoming children that they would be allowed to bring a stuffed animal or a doll from home to sleep with at naptime and would even learn to make their own.
"You two eat yet?" Rhett asked them.
"Papa made dinner," Amy answered.
"Momma still upstairs??"
Amy nodded.
"Alright, you and Hannah go get ready for baths," Rhett told her. "Gotta start goin to bed a little earlier now that school's startin for the the both of you."
Amy and Hannah both scooted up the stairs to wait for Rhett while Cecelia started on cleaning up the kitchen. "Can't believe she starts school in four weeks," he remarked, leaning against the doorframe.
"Yeah and ya'll got two more little ghouls comin up behind'em," Cecelia remarked as she began scooping the rice and asparagus into a plastic container.
Rhett groaned at the fact that already you two were expecting twin boys, the due date slowly creeping in just as the seasons did when they changed. "Yeah (y/n) was sayin something earlier about one of them resting their little butt right on top of her bladder."
"And need I remind ya'll that you used mine for a soccer ball?" Cecelia reminded him.
"Ma....."
"Your father would complain every time I had to run thirty minutes back to the house for a new pair of pants...."
"Ma......"
"........And it didn't help at all when you parked your little butt wherever you damn well pleased....."
"MOTHER!!"
Cecelia laughed as she spooned the last of the rice from the rice cooker into the container, closing the lid up and putting it away in the fridge.
"C'mon Ma," Rhett told her. "Why do you have to be so embarrassing?"
"It's my job," Cecelia answered. "And believe me, that's nothing compared to what your father, your godfather and your uncles all have on you."
Rhett felt his cheeks going hot at the thought.
When he had finished bantering back and forth with his mother and when Royal had come stumbling through the door, exhausted from having finished the day's work, Rhett went right upstairs to get Amy and Hannah ready for their baths.
As soon as the girls had been scrubbed clean and stuck in their pajamas, they both ran right back downstairs to bug their grandfather while Rhett went straight to his room. You had been holed up in his bed all day long, resting and watching one movie after another on the little tv resting on an old dresser he had decided to use for a stand.
Rhett snuck in next to you, coiling his arm around you protectively as his hand slid to your ever growing bump. "Boys are restless again?" he mumbled.
"You'd better believe it," you told him. "I couldn't even work on my knitting this afternoon. They kept using my liver as a punching bag."
Rhett stifled a laugh but he knew these next three months would drag out like the last few hours of a long road trip.
"Any news on the house?" you asked him.
"Wes FaceTimed me earlier when I was in town and told me that the dead tree on the property collapsed and almost hit the lumber truck," Rhett chuckled.
"How's Russ?"
"Still cranky," Rhett yawned, the room already having grown darker as the night had finally set in. "Nona told him he couldn't help work on the house."
"M'sure that went over like a fart in church."
You two had grown sleepier than usual, but when Rhett finally looked at his digital clock on his nightstand, he mustered what little strength he had left to go check on the girls.
Royal handed Hannah off to him as soon as he got upstairs while Amy stumbled slowly to her room. He laid Hannah right down in her pretty little bed, covering her with her pale, rosy pink and white blankets and tucking her in with her Eeyore and her little baby doll in its pink dress.
Amy had barely made it to her room when Rhett picked her up and brought her in, placing her in her bed and pulling the quilts and the crochet blanket over her. Her little circus-clown ragdoll was tucked carefully under her arm, his adorable, brightly painted face and soft, cuddly little body close to Amy's face.
Rhett kissed her goodnight and Hannah too before heading back to your room to snuggle in for the night. The two of you soon fell asleep as the movie played out and the chilly night had at last set in, you and your little family remaining cozy as ever, just as you did with every season that came and went.

Free Palestine, Don't support Neil
Title: Sugar Free (3)
Part two
Abby spent the night in your spare room. For the most part she's quiet, but a few times during the night you hear her startle from what you think are nightmares. You quickly fall back asleep after assessing the situation and deeming it safe.
You wake to your alarm as scheduled. Wiping the sleep away you get dressed, brush your teeth with a nature's toothpaste recipe you found in some herbalist guide, and wake Abby. She jumps to her feet, ready to go. Almost.
"Good morning. I'm going to work. Are you coming with me?" You offer.
"Uh, sure. Sure yeah. I'll go." Abby tugs on her boots and walks with you to the door. "When should I meet with Maria and Tommy?"
"Don't bother with them, I'll sort it out for you." You notice the blush that creeps on her face. "Unless of course you would prefer?"
"I probably should. New face and all." She nervously scratches her ear in a way you've seen Ellie do hundreds of times.
-
When you get to the shop, Maria and Ellie are both outside. "What can I do for you ladies?" You unlock the door, holding it open for everyone to escape the cold.
"Early breakfast." Ellie goes straight for the bread storage. "Can't stay long, heading out." She leaves with a wave of her bad hand, you smile to yourself at the way the nubs dance with the rest of her fingers.
"I was here for you, Abby." Maria addresses the other girl as you pull out the supplies needed for the new batches. "Housing arrangement. Joel told me you're fixed to work here. Is that true?"
"Yes," you answer for her. "Joel brought her by yesterday and she spent the night at mine."
"Excellent. Would you like a place of your own?" You wait patiently as Abby thinks.
"I think I would." Maria motions for Abby to follow her. You watch them leave.
-
As you're wheeling the first batch, Abby catches up to you. "So, I'm all situated." She takes the wheel barrel from you. "Want to check out the new place after we're done for the day?"
"Among other things," you mutter to yourself. Abby gives you a confused look.
"Hm? I didn't catch that."
"It can be arranged," you say clearly.
-
The moment lunch loaves are delivered, you send Abby to help the cooks with the excuse of needing to use the restroom before starting again. She obeys and you rush to get clean and ready for your routine bread treatment.
Ellie's special loaf is baked alongside Abby's. You fetch her from the kitchen and sit her down with the bread. "Eat up hot shot, overheard a few of the guys saying they may need extra hands for a small hoard up north. Something about Migration Tommy said."
"Is Ellie out there with them?" Abby asks before taking her first bite.
"She's stopping in to give her report then heading back out." You keep Ellie's bread as warm as it can be without burning.
-
"Hey beautiful, is that smell calling my name?" Ellie rushes to the back where you're keeping her loaf.
"Yes it is," you hand her the bread. She takes it gratefully.
"Thanks a bunch!" She gives you a quick side hug, her hand possessively running across the small of your back before she leaves.
"What was that about?" Abby helps you rotate the risen dough into the pans for the oven.
"Ellie being Ellie." It wasn't a lie. You've seen her make the same move on Cat. But Abby doesn't need to know the context.
"Is it because I'm new?" Abby sounds almost shy.
"No, Ellie is a lady's girl. If you get what I mean."
"Oh, so she's- Oh!" Abby shakes her head embarrassed. "Duh, I should have figured that on my own."
"It's good you don't make assumptions."
"Woah there, I make plenty. Just not about that sort of thing." There's a beat of silence before Abby speaks again. "Are you also, how did you put it? A 'lady's girl'?"
"I am. Do you happen to know what kind of gal you are?"
"I had my fair share of both, but I don't have a solid answer for you."
"So you're a floosy?" You joke.
"A what?" She scoffs. "What does that mean?"
"Old world for someone who 'gets around' so to speak. It was a dumb joke." You reassure her.
"That's a gross joke," Abby still lets out a hint of a laugh. You take it in grace.
"Sorry, Ellie tends to rub off on me sometimes."
"Sure it's just sometimes?" You whip your head to find her suppressing a laugh.
"Well I'll be, miss Anderson. Are you jealous?"
"Me? Jealous? Please," Abby scoffs. "I hardly know you."
"Would you like to get to know me?" You intended the statement to be bold, but it didn't land.
"We did share a home for a night, and I invited you to mine. Won't be the worst idea."

Your Hero
Part 15.
( Bakugou Katsuki X Y/N )
Morning
When the alarm clock rings, you immediately wake up from your sleep. Get out of bed walk to the bathroom brush your teeth and take a shower. Have an important investigation mission today so need to be mentally prepared. Fortunately, you didn't stay up all night playing games when got home last night.
After changing into clean clothes, you walked to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of milk from refrigerator to drink to satisfy your morning hunger. You pour the milk into the cup, then put two slices of bread into the toaster wait for them to be toasted.
While you're waiting, you grab a magazine flip through it to see what catches your eye. There happens to be a page about All Might. Never expect that All Might has been retired for many years but his contribution to society has been extremely influential.
Now that All Might has retired, the new era has been taken over by the Top 3 to maintain world peace, the same three who were taught by All Might during U.A. time. The one attracts the most attention is Dynamight, who named his Hero Name after the word Might from All Might.
"That's cool." You shake your legs.
When the doorbell rings, you put the magazine aside and walk to the entrance. Before you open the door, you see a man wearing a duckbill hat standing outside the entrance on the smart screen. You can tell who it is by looking at the hat.
You unlock the door let him in. As far as you know, all heroes disguise themselves in their private lives no matter where they go. Although the person who comes into your house is disguised, it is clearly him.
"Morning, hedgehog." You closed the door.
"Morning. Just woke up?" Katsuki kissed your cheek.
"Holy shit!" You were frightened by his kiss and took a few steps back.
"The hell you doing?" He groaned in displeasure.
"I was shocked by your kiss, suddenly." You smiled awkwardly.
"Suddenly?" He was confused.
"I never expected to date the famous Top Hero Dynamight. I thought yesterday was a dream." You glanced away.
He walked towards you and stretched out his hands to hug you. He rubbed his face against your shoulder, as if he was being coquettish. His head rested on your forehead and you looked at each other.
"It's not a dream, cutie." He stared at your lips.
This is not a dream. Yesterday he really confessed to you. You two faced each other honestly and started dating naturally. You conquered the famous No. 1 Hero Dynamight in love.
He is staring and waiting for you to respond to him. Now he does not feel impatient. He is longing for you in his heart and waiting for a loving response from you. He no longer treats you like his usual attitude, only you privileges that can only be enjoyed.
You closed your eyes he instantly understood your thoughts. He smiled and was about to kiss you, the two of you paused and looked towards the kitchen when a sudden "ding!" sounded. It was the sound of your bread being baked.
"Bread..." You pointed towards the kitchen, feeling sad at the sudden interruption.
He cupped your cheeks "Fuck the hell" he said and gave you a deep kiss.
Your hands around his neck and closed your eyes to enjoy the kiss you both longed for. His sweet lips kissed you without being rough or gentle. He was hot-tempered and domineering but always had a hint of preference and tenderness for you.
After both of you separated and looked at each other. He looked at you with a satisfied smirk on his face, as if he had achieved his goal. You couldn't help laughing because the famous Lord Dynamight had this side. It's so fresh.
"That stinky face is so bad." You pinched his cheek.
"Ha! I don't know who is longing for me?" he said with a smirk.
"I'll go have breakfast first, sit wherever you want." You smiled and walked away.
You went back to the kitchen and put the toasted bread on the plate. You were not good at cooking, so just wanted to make some toast and milk for breakfast. You sat down read a magazine while eating breakfast.
At this time, Katsuki was looking around in the living room and saw a photo of you and Lemillion hanging on the wall when you participated U.A. Sports Festival and won the Excellence Award.
By chance, he saw the most unpleasant photo, a photo of you and Hawks in the agency during your internship, and Hawks' hand was on your shoulder and he was so close to you.
"Hey, take away the photo of the dead eagle." Katsuki pointed at the photo indifferently.
"Why!" You feel confused.
"It's nothing, I'm just unhappy." He walked to the kitchen.
"Lord Dynamight, don't be jealous. Hawks is my first working friend and one of my best friends. I have to ask him for advice on many things." You took a bite of bread.
"Although he has been in the hero industry longer than me, your fucking boyfriend me also a professional and the fucking No.1 Hero!" He pointing at himself.
"I know, jealous hedgehog." You teased him playfully.
"Ha! A woman who can't learn well." He crossed his hands.
"It won't be interesting if I behave~" After you finished speaking, you took a sip of milk.
"Wait, you only eat bread and milk?" He pointed the bread in your hand.
"Yeah." You nodded.
He opened the refrigerator and checked the ingredients inside. The only things missing were eggs and bacon. The rest of the items had no trace of being touched. He scratched his head and glared at you with anger in his eyes.
Nervously, you used a magazine to cover his fierce eyes. You didn't know why he suddenly approached you angrily and glared at you, but you knew that things must not be simple.
"May I ask why you are so angry?" You asked cautiously.
"Why am I so angry? You didn't touch any of the fucking ingredients I prepared for you. You're malnourished if you only eat this little bit of food!" He kept nagging you.
"I can't cook..." You lowered your head in shame.
"Tch! The hell did you eat before... Wind Breaker, after all, you are an adult living alone and a Pro Hero. You should pay attention to your own health." He lectured you .
You knew he meant no harm, indeed he had a point. Now that you are living alone, it’s time to learn to cook instead of always eating fast food from outside. At least the food you cook yourself will provide with a balanced nutritional intake.
"Hey, did you listen to what I said! You might as well give up fast food and try to cook something for yourself once in a while." He tapped the table lightly.
"You think I don't want to! I'm not as good as you! Bastard Idiot Bakugou Katsuki!" You ran to the room angrily.
Leaving him alone in the kitchen, locked yourself in the room. You admitted that he was right and meant no harm. He just cared about you, but he didn't have to such nagging.
"Get angry at the slightest thing..." He crossed his hands impatiently.
Katsuki looked at the bread and milk on the table thought that eating this food would not fill your stomach at all. He couldn't bear to make you hungry, so he opened the refrigerator and choose some ingredients to make breakfast for you.
He put the ingredients on the table, picked up the kitchen knife and cut all evenly with fluent knife skills. He thought that since you were going to lose your temper, he should fill your stomach first and then let you have a good time.
While he was busy cooking, the phone in his pocket rang, indicating that it was the police chief Kenji calling. He immediately pressed the answer button and listened to it, he talking on the phone while cooking.
"Good morning, Dynamight. I'm sorry to disturb you so early in the morning. You requested that the investigation mission is ready. Police officers and other heroes have cordoned off the scene and monitored it." Kenji greeted.
"Ok, Wind Breaker and I will be there in an hour. Don't let anyone go in and touch anything before I arrive." Katsuki emphasized again and again.
"Understood, see you later." Kenji said and hung up the phone.
After hanging up the phone, he put back the phone in his pocket and continued cooking. His time was limited, so he could only make a simple breakfast for you to eat first.
In the room, you wonder why Katsuki didn't come to coax you. You wonder if he has gone back, so you open the door to find out. You smell a very fragrant smell and walk closer to find that he is cooking.
"Come and eat. Only when you are full and have the strength to continue to lose your temper." He picked up a piece of broccoli and motioned for you to come over.
"What are you doing?" You asked curiously.
"I'll make you breakfast, I don't want you to starve to death." He smiled.
"Hedgehog! I love you so much!" You hugged him.
"Sit down, I'll serve it later." He touched your head.
You sat on the chair swayed your legs looking forward to breakfast. At the same time, you admired the handsome appearance of No.1 Hero Dynamight cooking in person. Unknowingly, you had a perverted thought. If he were naked and put on an apron to match his muscles, he would be very fucking sexy and hot.
"Why are you smiling obscenely?" He put breakfast on the table.
"Nothing, I'm just thinking about something." You smiled.
"What are you thinking about? Tell me what makes my girlfriend smile obscenely." He said to you with a wicked smile on his face.
“Hmm, I was daydreaming about someday you being naked and wearing only an apron and cooking for me.” You said shyly.
"Wow, what a perverted fantasy. Do you want to see it?" He gently drew circles on the back of your hand with his fingers.
"A little bit." You felt that the atmosphere between the two of you was a little subtle.
He stood up walked next to you then looking at you with a smirk on his face. You looked confused didn't know what he wanted to do. You just stared straight into his face and remained silent, but your heart kept beating.
He reached out to touch your hair. When you were curious about what he wanted to do, he kissed your hair and pressed his face against your shoulder. You felt his hot breath, and he didn't giving you any chance to calm down, he opened his mouth and nibbled directly on your neck, licking it and kissing it passionately.
You could feel the warmth of his lips on your neck, as if he was going to eat you. You felt the situation was bad and subconsciously wanted to push him away. He immediately grabbed your hand to prevent you from escaping.
"Wait a minute, hedgehog..." you moaned quietly.
"I won't wait." He kissed and licked your neck a few more times.
"Hedgehog..ah" you moaned too excitedly.
"I told you many times to call me Katsuki when we are alone. You are such a bad girl, Y/N." He said with a smirk in your ear.
The famous Dynamight is a very handsome and strong in front of the public, but now he is your boyfriend who is teasing and tempting you in an erotic way. How good is he at flirting with girls, making you shy and exciting at the same time.
“Y/N.” He breathed hotly as he kissed your back earlobe this time.
"Eh?" You turned to look at him shyly.
You saw him licking his lips, showing a satisfied and evil smile on his face. Your heart beat faster and the hot temperature came from your body. When he did this, it simply ignited the enthusiasm and passion between the two of you.
"You're delicious." He squeezed your hand.
"Pervert..." You blushed.
"You obviously teased me first, how dare you to blame me." He blew hot breath beside your ear.
"Hedgehog! You!" You were about to yell at him but suddenly interrupted you.
He didn't give you any chance to speak, directly kissed your lips to shut you up. You two experienced a passionate and provocative time. He put his hands on your back caressed your body everywhere. You were enthusiastic responded to his kiss without hesitation.
After the two of you separated, you took a breath and calmed down. Your relationship has not reached a more intimate stage, but it almost gone too far. You don't hate him treating you like this, or maybe you actually want to go deeper.
You had no experience with that kind of thing, and you had a lot of uneasiness rising up inside you. You two are adults may have sex at any time. When the time comes, wonders if he will be willing to guide you.
You shake your head tell yourself not to think so far, not to increase your anxiety and conflicts with your own random thoughts. The most important thing is to enjoy the moment slowly develop a good relationship with him, and slowly move forward with him over time until the future.
Although you both Pro Heroes at different levels, as public figures you can only interact in a low-key manner. You can also show affection outside, but you still have to pretend to be more careful to avoid hurting each other.
"Eat quickly. It's getting cold." His sudden words brought you back to your senses.
"It's all your fault..." You pouted.
"Obviously you were the first..." He took the opportunity to eat your breakfast.
"So you're not interested in me?" You asked shyly.
"How could I not be interested in you? As a man, I have sexual reactions, including having erotic thoughts and sexual fantasies about my girlfriend. If you don't believe me, you can look down." He motioned you with his eyes to look down.
What he said made you curious about whether he would really interested to you, you took a quick look and saw that there was an obvious bulge between his thighs, which was a sign of erection that every boy would have.
"How is it? Are you satisfied?" He looked complacent.
"What the hell do you mean!" You were so shy quickly covered your face.
"Since you're curious I'll show you my reaction. That answers your question." He took your hands away to looked directly at you.
"How to solve "it" now?" You couldn't get rid of his hand.
"You haven't helped anyone solve it before?" He seemed to have discovered something.
You shook your head to show that you didn't.
"Wow...so you a virgin?" Seeing your innocent reaction, he tested you a little.
You nodded to indicate that he was right.
When he found out, he immediately let go of your hand and turned his back to you. Seeing him being so distant from you, you have doubts in your heart. Could it be that he didn't like inexperienced girls?
He is a mature man, it is understandable that he would like experienced mature women. You have had several relationships in the United States, but due to work reasons, you have maintained no sexual contact.
You clenched your fists wanted to speak but you didn't know how to express thoughts. It seemed wrong to ask him directly. If he didn't think that way, wouldn't it mean that you were making trouble and making him angry?
After thinking about it for a while, you decided not to wait for him. You should start the topic with him first. Although you felt a strong sense of uneasiness in your heart, but you didn't want to see him keep a cold or keep a distance with you.
"Hedgehog..." you called him softly.
When he heard your, he immediately stretched out his hand to stop you from getting closer to him. You glanced at his side noticed that his ears were red and his neck was sweating.
"I'm going to the toilet." He left a sentence.
He rushed to the toilet immediately, and you could hear the sound of the door closing. He must have been in a hurry. You couldn't figure out what to do. Maybe the two of you were about to break up.
A few minutes later, he came out of the toilet and pulled up a chair sat in front of you. He tapped his fingers on the table and shook his feet, as if he was thinking about how to speak. After a while, all unnecessary movements of hands and feet stopped.
"I will simply explain to you the methods I usually use to solve sexual reactions. The most direct way is release it through masturbation. If they have a sexual partner, just sex. In short, it will be solved after ejaculation. Ignore the sexual stimulation try to use some emotions to divert your attention and it will be fine. That's about it..." What you didn't expect was he explained the whole process to you peacefully and seriously.
"Oh oh oh... I generally understand..." You nodded slightly.
"That's it?!" He was surprised by your understanding reaction.
"Huh?!" You were startled.
"Your reaction is much calmer than expected... Could your head be broken?" He touched your forehead to worry about you.
"I'm fine, I'm just relieved." You said.
"Ha!? Why?" He leaned closer listened carefully.
"I thought you didn't like virgins or inexperienced and were going to break up with me..." You muttered.
"You are an idiot! How could I have such thoughts! How superficial do you think I am!" He flicked your forehead with his finger.
"Ouch!" You touch your forehead.
"Better give up on that idea or I'll blow you up!" He pointed at you.
"Got it!" You stuck your tongue out at him.
"Eat quickly, it's almost time to work." He smiled.
The uneasiness in your heart has dissipated and feel a lot more at ease. It's important to be able to open up to him and tell him what's on your mind. After being comforted by him, you feel much better, even if the breakfast has gone cold.
Suddenly remembering the way he talked about how to release and resolve an erection, you took a glance noticed that he no longer had an erection. What did your boyfriend just go to the toilet to do? This time it really aroused your curiosity.
"Can I ask a question?" You said in a serious tone.
"What?" He took a sip of water.
"What were you doing in the toilet just now?" You asked a very direct question.
He placed the cup on the table looked in the other direction silently. His actions made you suspect that he had done something good inside, you turned his face towards you.
"You shouldn't be masturbating in my toilet..." You glared at him.
"If so, do you want to see it?" He smiled evilly.
"Answer me!" You forced him to answer the question, making his eyes widen.
"I've been busy with work recently and I just released it after holding it in for a long time, but I did clean it up." He confessed that his behavior in the toilet shocked you.
You were speechless by what he said. It was the first time in your life your boyfriend masturbated at your house. You didn’t mind after all because he finally managed to release himself. Although you were a couple, you hadn’t reached the sexual level yet.
"I'm curious why you couldn't hold it in anymore?" You raised your hand asked.
"You really want to know?" He smiled crookedly.
You nodded in response, because it made you want to know why Katsuki couldn't hold back his sexual response and desire.
He whispers in your ear "Your moans and gasps are so tempting."
After he answered your question, he kissed your hair and breathed hot breath. You finally calmed down but he flirted with you again and again, your face suddenly felt so hot.
"Haha, sexy." He picked up the dishes and walked to the wash basin.
"Katsuki! You bastard!" You followed and slapped him on the back.
"I promise you one thing. After all, you are inexperienced. I will not force you to have sex with me until you are ready." He washed the dishes and put them aside.
"Katsuki...you are so kind to me, but you still have a bad temper." You added after you finished your kind words.
"That last sentence is unnecessary! Believe it or not, I'll fucking blow you up to death!" His mouth was full of complaints but his expression was smiling.
"Blow me up~ I'm not afraid of Katsuki~ I'm just afraid of Lord Dynamight~" You said with a smile.
"Screw you! You'd better be mentally prepared." He mentioned the investigation work that was waiting for you.
"Ready, Dynamight," You told him seriously.
"Good girl," He said and you both left to head off to the investigation mission.
