i come up with ideas based on the most random things because wdym i just rambled on about fucking fingers and decided,,,, heh,,,,, yeah. this is a good idea. well i mean i do think it IS a good idea but also like in hindsight and out of context i do think its totally fucking stupid. angel92 ahh post 💀💀💀

anyways i was thinking about mtt and fingers and which ones they would lose as a result of being with eachother but then that also means that i'd have to give specific meanings to the fingers (ughhhh,,,,,) ok lets see. pointer finger would represent precision and clear vision because you literally use it to specifically gesture to things. middle finger is like ughh vulgarity and hatred because its the middle finger. the ring finger (heh! i already spoke about this one because of the myth that its connected to the heart and also holds wedding rings) represents love and the pinkie represent promise (PINKIE PROMISE!) and the thumb represents basic functioning and interpretations (because the thumb helps us literally hold things and also thumbs up and down shows your view on things)

i think if i just tack this idea onto the other post about ring fingers then it would be kinda unrealted + plus too long SO ITS GOING HERE. all the mtt are missing ring fingers because i said so. dust is missing an index finger because if the trio break up he's the only one that wouldnt have anywhere/one to go. also he'd struggle to smoke and i think that horror would always complain about him smoking so it'd be like horror's still kinda there warding him off from smoking even though he's not there anymore. horror would lose his middle finger because he'd probably be the most agressive against kist in mttpoly and now without them there he's kinda chilled out. but also the agression and spark isnt there and now he's stuck in plain old boring regular horrortale again which isnt all that fun,,,, even if dust an killer sucked fighting was a way to pass time. but horror would never admit that. and i think killer could lose a thumb (ill be fr im just running out of fingers to use here. next thing yk i'll start talking about TOES) and then he'd struggle to hold knives normally now. he literally can't hurt others the way he hurt horror and dust (but also that could also mean that killer just has to come up with more creative ways to main. or also his reduced actions could result in him causing less trouble and therefore having less threats. depends on if killer wants to be a bit more knife happy or just chil,,,,,, you KNOW i gotta go with the knife happy idea mtt NEVER get a break and if they do i immediately forget about it)

Loves making you dresses; assuming you can swap out dresses considering the whole "their clothes are attatched to their bodies" thing

While I doubt your clothing can rip or tear thanks to the properties of the digital world, I think if she could, she would patch up any holes

Honestly I think out of this entire post, kinger is the only one who gets a platonic/found family take on this... just an old king and his princess kid. Again I'm not sure if he truly believes he royalty or if he was trying to appeal to the gloink queen by saying "as a royal myself.." but.. honestly I like the idea that he just likes playing the part. I like Targaryens but I also like you and your blog, I don’t follow you but I like Jon. I respect that we all can have different opinions and agree in somethings and disagree in others, that what life is. And you’re nice, you’re not rude or unnecessarily hateful when you express that you don’t like the targs

I do get what people like about the Targaryeans, especially in a fantasy world like asoiaf. But, I also actually do enjoy dissecting what I don't like about them. I genuinely enjoy it.

How their lust for power always comes with what they greater symbolize and act closer to gods then the people they rule. I find the blood purity thing disturbing and how it creates generational abuse in the form of rampant incest. I like how the absoute terror of the Valyrian Freehold is all but lost to modern history in the series, but any look further and you find horrors beyond horrors that they've commited and how those terrible crimes still translate into the way they see themselves and the world.

But, I like doing it here. On my blog, where I know the majority of people who will see it, are normally people who have followed me and are interested in seeing it. It's why I try to always use anti tags so that anyone who doesn't, hopefully have those tags blocked so they don't have too.

I'm loud and inflammatory sometimes, mostly for comedic sake to get across my point without sounding like I'm dictating a lecture. But, I'd never go to someone to argue, or over take their post and start something. I just make my own, voice my opinons and am weary of when people are trying to have a real discussion with me about them, or if they are trying to instigate a problem.

Sometimes I know I come across as aggressive, but when someone looks down most of my blog they'll notice most of the time I am just a massive over analyzing loser who likes to dissect asoiaf in the ways I interpret it.

I never try to be rude, I just take issue when the fight is brought to my blog or my asks when I never opened myself up to having a debate or an argument. I like to talk about the series, not debate it and that's usually my goal.

The last thing I want is to turn my discussions about asoiaf into bloodsports for the sake of trying to prove "im right".

I'm not right because none of this is real. I just like to joke that I'm right because I have a fucking terrible sense of humour.

midnight rambling

its midnight and im scrolling tumblr posts on pinterest. to be more specific, both twitter and tumblr posts actually. its been 2 hours++ im not actually sure how pinterest is doing it but it has me in a chokehold (but so does every other social media!) and all i want to do is just read posts quietly about tumblr like its 2014 and im too young to actually have my own tumblr acc, as well as too dumb to make one, to the point where pinterest was the only place i could touch tumblr (like it was some sort of sacred nerd gathering like honestly,,) 

its midnight, and i continue thinking about the dnd posts i saw on 4chan on pinterest like an hour ago and theres nothing running through my brain other than polite human necromancer who wears the hottest thigh highs in a party where everyone speaks rudely,,, like straight up asshole rude the kind you would want to deck in the face so hard you hope they stop existing. i dont know what im doing with this, where im going with this, or like anything at all, i just want whatever the hell i said up there (it is embarrassing to me). at this point i dont know what i would do about this post anymore like yeah i just wanted to ramble because the 2 other ppl i would ramble too are asleep (terrible) so now im here debating if i should make thigh highs necro very slutty and basically make a hentai out of it, or i make it found family wholesome and make it like,,, bad at verbal communication to an awful awful extent. could i do both? yeah i could but am i gonna? no fucking way lmao  its midnight and im actually debating this im fucking insane no one is going to see this anyways </3 so like honestly whatever i guess. stress of being a writer, but do i count as one if i never actually write ? what if all i like to do is come up with beautiful plot ideas with wonderful characters and whatnot but like i just never write it out i will only keep them safe in my rambles to my bestie and i shield them, and myself from criticism and hatred, i give in to my paranoid thoughts of what if they are stolen? i live in fear of my love of them simply because i have allowed for myself to submit myself to the mortifying ordeal of being known, of letting a part of myself so intimate and unknown of me be exposed and seen by someone who understood and listened to me too well.

What are your thoughts on a Kas the Betrayer!Robin AU?

OH??? 👀👀👀👀 sorry it took me so long to reply, i've been processing and trying to come up with something. so here, have some thoughts: (halfway through writing this i was like damn i have to actually write it now)

i finally got inspired by seeing that one post pointing out that robin has been the only one to survive the "loveable new secondary character dying tragically" st trope. what if there was a reason for it? a horrible, terrible reason??

inspiration #2: maya hawke in that one video saying something along the lines of "im the villain. i win. i defeat everyone. i'm the only one standing alive and i take nancy's dying carcass in my arms"

now, how did it happen? remember the trailer for vol 2, when we thought it was just robin caught by the vines for being clumsy? what if it was just robin? what if the vines caught her, what if nancy and steve couldn't get her out in time, what if she died there?? and suddenly the vines let her lifeless body go, nancy and steve are crying their hearts out and then bam! she wakes up!! they're relieved, they're in a hurry, they go shoot vecna, but this time robin freezes, she can't attack him. the others think she's just still recovering but is she? they haven't yet noticed that something's different, something changed, and that's not just Robin anymore

so! venca is gone, and they have to go back home, but on their way to the gate, they see dustin and eddie fighting, and losing, against the demobats. nancy starts shooting, steve jumps right in with the axe, dustin and eddie fight for their lives, it seems like they wont make it, and then robin yells "stop!!!" and. just like that. the demobats leave. it was a mess and the other didn't even heard her (or did nancy hear?) the important thing is that the demobats are leaving and they get to go home... right?

weird, weird things start to happen. robin looks sick, steve is worried about her. she's having nightmares, nosebleeds, headaches, all the signs of being vecna'd but worse. you know who else is struggling? nancy! why? because she was just in the middle of falling in love with robin and now the girl died, resurrected, and is being haunted??? but that's not all. nancy tries to take care of her, medicine, soup, sweaters and scarfs to keep her warm, but when robin falls asleep in nancy's arms and starts talking in her sleep... nancy knows something is wrong with her

robin starts asking too many questions about el and will's whereabout, about the governments plans, she suddenly knows too much, she's everywhere, and when demobats start crossing over from the upside down and all hell breaks loose... is robin going to fullfil the purpose given to her by vecna when he resurected her to by a spy on the other side? or she going to stop the demobats from hurting everything and everyone she loves, specially nancy wheeler, who's currently debating if loving robin is a strong enough reason to try and save her or if she should be the one to kill her so they could finally defeat vecna????

Like I already said multible times in the past, I have no problem if people dont like the theory. To some degree I even understand it. A lot of people dont like dfo because to them "villain father and hero son" is such a cliche story plot. The thing is "cliche" DOESNT automatical mean its bad! You cant just say something is badly written, or a bad writing choice, only just because YOU dont personally like it and because its quite often used in storys, when its NOT EVEN WRITTEN YET! We dont know yet HOW dfo will play out! We dont know yet the explaination and story behind it, so why not just wait till hori delivers and THEN built your opinion on it?! I mean, maybe it will turn into a possitive surprise?

The thing is, at least from my personal experience, there is little to no chance to have polite or deeper conversations with most anti dfo people (not saying they are all like that). Everytime I get an anti dfo ask or see an post from one, they give me the feeling as if I killed their dog or some shit! As if I personally insultet or hurtet them! All the anti dfo asks I ever got were from people attacking me FIRST, simply because they didnt like a dfo post of mine. Its just a theory that is fun to me and I like to talk with others about. I made a lot of cool and nice internet friends thanks to the theory. I mean, isnt that something positive and you should be happy about for others?

And the most annoying thing is, when they attacke me or try to get me into a discussion with them how stupid and wrong I am to believe in such a theory, they cant even give good proper arguments WHY the theory wouldnt make sense and Im not able to destroy in just under 5 seconds! Remember anti dfos "strongest" argument they had for the last 3 years? "aLl FoR oNe cAnT bE hISaShI, BeCAuSe HiSAsHi hAs a FirE bReAtHInG qUiRk!" Gosh, I think Im not the only dfo fan here, who still gets a headache and feels terrible triggered, if they remember the most stupid anti dfo argument ever created! Oh the mental pain, that sentence gave me for years! And there are STILL people out there who use it! Seriously, at least they could come up with arguments that make SENSE and can hold up longer then just a few seconds!

And what is their most recent argument now? "AlL fOr OnE cAnT bE hISasHi, bEcAusE aLl FoR oNE DoESnt hAvE frEcKleS!" 🤦‍♀️ Or because, hes not an 100% izuku clone, when I just proofed in one of my newer posts that not ONE of the kids in bnha is a complete copy of one of their parents and that all the kids have traits from both, their father AND mother. Also most of the kids come more after their mothers in appearance (even BAKUGOU of all people), so WHY is izuku not allowed to look more like his mom (only at first glance and if you dont dig deeper), then his dad?!

And then, when we were able to destroy all their very few anti dfo arguments and they realize they dont have any back up comments, they come up with the typical: "BUT IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!" or "THERE ARE ZERO HINTS AND EVIDENCES!" Like dude, if I hate something so much and close my eyes every fucking time I see it, OF COURSE I wouldnt see all the hints and evidences that have to do with it neither! There are TONS of hints and evidences that back up dfo, but if people choose to hate or ignore it and dont even want to give it a chance in the first place out for personal reasons, then NOTHING in their eyes will ever be good enough. We as fans took our time to analys afos behavior around izuku and other people, the way he speaks, the words he says, the way he acts and were able to realize that he behaves completly different around izuku then other characters. This is backed up with proof! We created a whole damn "dfo bible" with over 50 different kind of hints and effidences, simply because we took our time to study afos behavior around izuku, but anti dfo still turn a blind eye.

Its fine if they dont like the theory, but if they dont even give it a chance or even consider it out of personal dislike, there is no reason to interact with them. Its like talking against a wall!

(1) so... imma be honest here... i have been in this fandom for quite a while and have tried to avoid cockles stuff due to rpf and thinking it was all tinhat theories (im SORRY). But for some reason,, , i have seen more and more cockles on my dash and it got me going down the rabbit hole of theories and such. Now, there is still a part of me that is still pretty skeptical but im open minded. Before i make up my mind about something I would like to collect data and make conclusions for myself.

(2) SO with that being said, here are my questions: what was the thing that solidified cockles, in your mind, as real? What makes their relationship different from every other person on this show (like jared for example)? What pieces of evidence, in your mind, is indisputable (i.e something that i or anyone else cant convince you that cockles is Not real)?

(3) Do you have any doubts? Can you give me a timeline of cockles? All these years and no one has said anything? now, i know thats not unusual (im in a fandom where 2 guys have been in a relationship for 11 years and people (besides the core-fans) didnt know until last year), but has there been any slip-ups and/or instances where people went: 🤔👀?

i’ll address each question in turn, and this got l o n g and gif-heavy, so it’s going under a readmore.

1) what convinced you cockles is real?

the year was 2013, i was new to the spn fandom (and, quite frankly, to unlearning my homophobia, but working on it). i knew that jibcon was a thing and i knew some of the cockles stories from the last few years, but people joke and tinhat about celebrities who joke flirt all the time, right? then i saw this with my own eyes.

now, the grinding is a big part of this, because you just don’t casually do that in the course of trying to reclaim a piece of paper your friend is playing keep-away with. but jensen’s face. mr grumpy tough guy who play-acts all grouchy when jared so much as hugs him onstage. i can think of no other word for that facial expression except delighted. mr grumpy is surprised and thrilled about misha grinding up again his crotch in front of a crowd.

keep in mind that while jensen is a fantastic actor, when he’s not acting, he’s terrible at keeping his genuine emotions off his face. terrible. this is clearly spur of the moment and not an intentional bit.

a few more details: it’s subtle and debatable, but it really rather looks like jensen is very nearly rocking his hips into misha. regardless, he is definitely NOT backing away or trying to get out of the situation at all. next, you can see that misha straight up puts a hand on jensen’s ass, after grabbing onto his waist with a certain propriety and familiarity that reeks of intimacy. and lastly, you can see in the back that misha is making a 😬 face. he knows that he just fucked up.

so i stared at this for, i don’t know, an hour or so, and i could come to literally no other conclusion than that they have some kind of physical relationship. there’s too much familiarity on misha’s part and too much delight on jensen’s part for anything else.

2) what makes their relationship different than anyone else on the show?

you mention jared, and jared is the perfect example. it’s easy to say that misha is joke flirty with lots of people, not just jensen, but this post perfectly compares the difference between misha’s body language with jared and with jensen. it actually contrasts the above grinding incident with a similar incident where jared stole his microphone.

with jared, misha just stands up and walks around trying to get it back. but look at that body language with jensen. 

that little way misha leans away is flirtatious, it just is. it’s giggling and inefficient in a way that shouts “keep chasing me.” then he giggles and grabs at jensen’s hands when jensen snatches the paper, gets a determined attitude to his posture, and goes in to try and get it back, which leads to the grinding. it’s so diffierent. 

here’s another post that analyzes the difference between mishalecki and cockles, and this is the bottom line: every time jared and misha touch in a flirty way, it’s a bit. it’s a joke between buddies. “haha i’m pretending to put my hand on your leg in a sexy way.” 

when jensen and misha touch, the touching isn’t for the bit, the bit is for the touching. they do bits to have an excuse to touch. 

the hitch kiss is a perfect example, because that wasn’t even part of the scene they’re reenacting. jensen’s character is supposed to reluctantly lean in, barely make contact, and misha’s character jolts back. instead misha just goes for it, and jensen happily goes for it with him. (this is after jensen initially didn’t want to do the scene, before misha joined him on stage, and then after misha joined him, he went and picked the script up again and was like “ummm they want us to make out now haha.”)

they’re literally not even supposed to do this, it’s totally improvised, because they created a bit so they had an excuse to pretend kiss. okay, now hold that disguised-touching thought.

jensen’s body language between jared and misha at conventions is like night and day - not that it’s bad with jared, not at all, but they’re bros. they stand/sit shoulder to shoulder facing the crowd, they have a routine well worked out to provide entertainment, they play off each other like people who’ve been best friends for as long as they’ve been best friends. they’re like a steady team who has each other’s backs.

when jensen is on stage with misha? all he cares about is staring at misha, except for when he’s bragging on misha or encouraging misha to do things like strip or do one of his terrible accents because he has a kink. look at how he stares, he downright gazes. and he just does that... all the time, year after year.

he is enamored.

there’s also what we call the unicorn laugh, which is the most... exaggerated, ludicrous full-body SCREAMLAUGH that jensen only does for misha. and most of the time it’s because misha said something... not that particularly funny. maybe not even a joke at all. i get secondhand embarrassment just looking at it.

okay, now we’re going to go through some of the other truly transparent and embarrassing shit jensen does, because he is transparent and embarrassing.

whenever jensen does a cockles or j2m photo op, he performs the Mish Reach, an astonishing maneuver where his arm will stretch as long as is required to touch misha. he will touch misha, you cannot stop him. do not try.

speaking of, he has a Thing for calling misha “mish” and “dmitri” (misha’s legal name) as if he gets off on the intimacy of a nickname (or real name, as the case may be). 

the green eyed monster. for someone so beautiful and you know, everything, jensen seems to get jealous for no good reason with incredibly little prompting. look at this body language. and here, misha and jared were simply chatting, and this baby actually pouts at them.

flirty faces totally count as pranking, right? jensen’s favorite way to make misha break on set was the hit him with this face + “hey big boy”, which is definitely what a prank is and not flirting.

being compelled to support/defend/include misha. this is one of my favorite tiny moments, it’s just adorable. misha is introduced on stage at comic con, jared does a playful “booo! *thumbs down*” and jensen visibly goes “hey, don’t do that! in this house we love and support misha!” to the extent that jared visibly goes “dude what’s your problem?”

once, a fan asked the j2 panel a question that included misha, and this boy said “thank you for your question. i like it when people include misha.” here, he handles a castiel standee so... tenderly. here, he talks misha up to convince him to improvise lyrics to a song. misha had to leave this comic con panel early, and despite him having just left and knowing that he’s driving, jensen tried to facetime misha and then looked so sad when he didn’t pick up. here he tells misha he looks “dapper as always” (he is in jeans, t-shirt, and blazer, c’mon bro). same panel, misha forgets his place in his story and jensen whispers the next part to help. also same panel, jared roasts misha, jensen just has to Be Supportive.

how he can’t help but talk about misha all the time. even when misha isn’t there or the topic has nothing to do with misha, jensen loves to talk about him. jensen often jokes about his terrible memory (like how he doesn’t remember which season dean went to hell), but he tells the story of how he met misha over and over, and the story of the first time they went to dinner together. and he gushes. here he gushes about how excited misha was about scoobynatural. another time, he lost it because he met someone with a dachsund named misha, and he HAD to wait and tell misha in person because he HAD to see his face, and despite misha just making a “ah, great” expression, jensen said it was so worth the wait. here he gushes about misha in some dvd extras. look at this smile and gulp.

okay, this post is already out of control and we’re not remotely done, but the only way out is through, so onward. 

since we’re ostensibly on the topic of body language, we’re going to circle back and cover unnecessary touching, disguised touching, and blush-inducing intimate touching. consider this, the most tender but filthy hand fondling i’ve ever seen, disguised as both resting their hands on a fan’s shoulder. there is zero platonic explanation for this. this is hand lovemaking.

(similarly, this is eye lovemaking from across a stage.)  here, early on, jensen tried to be slick and disguise his desire to kiss misha’s cheek by first kissing jim beaver’s cheek. we are not fooled. this is a long post about unnecessary touching, and includes a moment i love but you can’t clearly see what happens. felicia day is dancing at jibcon, and jensen steps up to misha, switches his microphone to his far hand, and wraps his arm around misha’s waist the way you do with your partner.

straight, platonic men do not touch each other like this, and it can’t be a bit, because it’s extremely difficult to even see from the audience. jensen touches misha with a casual, possessive intimacy without it being part of a joke, like the time he was determined to keep his hand on misha’s thigh and this comforting hug + cheek kiss (when misha was crying at a photoshoot celebrating spn’s last season).

he simply doesn’t touch jared like that, not ever. i could keep going, but we can end the answer to ‘how are they different together’ there.

3) what pieces of evidence do you consider indisputable?

the number one thing to me is the body language. i have an intuitive talent for reading body language and facial expressions, and the only word i can use to describe jensen and misha’s body language is intimate. these two people are physically and emotionally intimate. you don’t touch someone with this degree of familiarity and possession unless you’ve had sex. i don’t make the rules, that’s just how it is. 

and we’ve seen now some of jensen’s intimate body language, but we have to talk about the way misha touches jensen’s back. i am asexual, and i would be straight-up uncomfortable if someone touched me like this, because it pings my radar as inherently sexual. this one and this one drive me utterly feral.

this is a compilation of how they stand so close to whisper. they also love to lean their heads on each other’s shoulders. this one in particular is incredible not just for jensen dropping his head, but the soft expression on misha’s face and how he tips his head to the side.

next: the boners. it’s weird to talk about a real person’s dick, but the fact remains that jensen has gotten hard-ons onstage because of misha at least 3 times: once when misha reenacted the fake orgasm scene from when harry met sally (which misha so did to turn him on intentionally), another time after that eye lovemaking already mentioned, but most notably after what we refer to as straddlegate, when jensen oh-so-helpfully volunteered to lie down for misha to straddle him (to reenact a scene) and then afterwards adjusted himself, pulled his shirt down, stuck his hand in his pocket, and awkwardly sat down. the man has a problem.

next: the shared/matching jewelry. years ago, misha wore a ring jensen gave him, and bracelets that weren’t identical but very similar, and misha’s had a pendant with an angel figure on one side and “always with you” on the other. photo op pictures caught them wearing the same bracelet that said “believe in you”. then in 2019 misha was seen wearing a ring on his right hand ring finger that jensen was seen wearing the previous year.

next: the anal sex fart joke. i do not actually relish discussing jensen ackles’ asshole, but the man said this and then literally approved it for release. the joke is that misha fucked his butt loose. i’ve had several people tell me that this is a common joke among gay/bi men, and even that yes, the sound jensen made is exactly what it really sounds like. so that happened.

next: the photos they post on twitter, which they obviously choose to share with us on purpose. there was the sunset photo, the family boat trip photo, the chest-to-chest selfie, but the king of them all is the anniversary photo. remember that story of their first dinner together? well, they took a picture that night, and ten years later they tracked down the same bar and the same table ten years later, recreated the photo and posted them for us to see. 

now what i also find indisputable is a whole bunch of Suspicious Shit their friends (mostly jared) have said, but we’re gonna save that for another question.

4) do you have any doubts?

i used to, sometimes, but i don’t anymore. cause really, why is it so hard to believe that two people are queer and polyamorous? especially when one (misha) is openly poly and made very strong hints about being queer. i’m not accusing them of anything immoral or rare, i just think they’re queer and poly and in love. that happens.

5) can you give me a timeline of cockles?

listen, everyone knows. everyone makes jokes about it. do you remember in 10x05 when the two girls playing dean and cas were said to be “a couple in real life”? i have an entire That’s Suspicious section of my masterlist, mostly because jared thinks it’s hilarious and he can’t keep his damn mouth shut. this post is so gif-heavy already that i don’t dare go through each incident, so i’ll have to be very choosy.

one time jared was teasing jen by pretending to be jensen looking at a centerfold of misha, saying, “misha’s been working out!” and at first jensen pretended to look disgusted, but couldn’t help himself in saying, “he has though, hasn’t he?” and the look on jared’s face. 

another time, a fan asks their favorite season, and jared says season 4, the year he met genevieve (the actress who played ruby), jensen says he also liked the season he met jared’s wife, and jared cheekily says “isn’t that the season you met misha?” another time, j2 were told that misha had started a fire in his meet and greet, jensen says “he is pretty hot” and jared just walks away.

another time, jared put jensen’s arm around misha. memorably, there was the comic con where misha did a funny voice, jensen said “he sounds like that in the morning,” and jared swooped in to say, “how do YOU know?” and proceeded to take his mic out of its stand to drop it. everyone laughs, mark sheppard makes THAT face, jensen blushes, and they both giggle and look a little embarrassed, but like... if it wasn’t true, wouldn’t you be so uncomfortable that your friend just implied to a whole comic con hall that you’re fucking?

so when you ask “all this time and no one has said anything?” - people say things all the time. we all know. they don’t try to hide it. it’s just that heteronormativity is such a drug and straight goggles are so thick that most people can dismiss anything short of literally having sex as “just good friends.” sooo many people claim that it’s just jokes. they can do almost anything and fly under the heteronormative radar.

and since you mentioned slip ups, i have to mention two more things before i lay my weary head to rest. first, what i call the almost kiss, because i really think jensen forgot he was onstage and he tried to go in for a kiss.

and now, for my pièce de résistance... brace yourself.

a clever fan noticed that while multiple people were on stage, misha subtly lifted up his shirt tails to display his crotch and unzipped jeans.

and jensen not only sees it, he damn near swallows his tongue.

Etho VS Evil part 6

The deepslate tunnel isn’t damp, but the underground chill is seeping through Etho’s one sock-clad foot and creeping up his leg. The only light is an occasional torch--just enough to keep mobs from spawning--and the harsh glow of EX’s comm, which he’s scrolling through as they walk.

Etho feels the weight of his own comm in his pocket. At least EX didn’t bother looking through his pack to discover the comm wasn’t there.

They come to a pocket in the tunnel--a small room, filled once again with chests and crafting tables. Beyond, in the light of the torches, the tunnel continues, only this time it’s wider, one side filled with chests and hoppers. There’s another bed and another ladder leading up to another trapdoor, and he can see daylight filtering down through the slats in the trapdoor. The tunnel continues onward

EX stops and gestures. “This is where I let you take over.” He sits down on a workbench, still scrolling.

Etho--briefly--debates the wisdom of turning and running. Snap out of it. He hasn’t outright threatened ya yet...who knows what he’ll do if he thinks you’re gonna run for it. Play it calm. Be watchful.

He takes his time to look through the chests first, to get a feel for everything EX has gathered. While he’s doing so, he fashions himself a crutch out of odds and ends, then starts down the tunnel again, mentally taking measurements and comparing them to the schematics he’s holding. Despite his misgivings, he’s interested--it’s been a while since he’s done a huge build like this. It’s not terribly complicated, but excitement still bubbles in his chest, the same feeling he always gets when he’s planning a redstone build.

The tunnel does indeed look big enough to house the build EX’s schematics show, so Etho finishes his measurements and heads back to the main room. As he approaches, he hears voices--not from the room itself, but faint whisperings that sound like they’re coming from above. He steps out into the room and looks up towards the trapdoor. One of the voices is definitely EX’s, and he can’t quite make out the other.

Etho slips his hand into his pocket and pulls out his comm. He pauses. EX hasn’t been incredibly threatening…and Xisuma himself seems willing to give the guy a second chance. But at the same time, every time he looks at EX, EX seems to be avoiding looking him in the eye. And there’s just something…the way EX looks at him sometimes, sending a chill up Etho’s spine.

It almost—but not quite—triggers his fight or flight. Something that he’d like to think was very honed after Third Life.

It’s not something he’s really had a chance to sit and think over before now. Etho checks his comm. He’s been in EX’s company for…two hours. Snap. It hasn’t seemed that long.

Maybe Xisuma himself would have some good insight.

The trapdoor above him opens. Etho shoves his comm back into his pocket and turns away, busying himself with opening chests and starting to take out the materials he needs. He pretends to be absorbed in his work, pretends not to hear EX’s steps coming down the ladder, pretends not to feel EX’s stare boring into his back.

“So. What do you think?” EX demands.

Etho makes himself jerk a little bit as if he’s startled. It doesn’t take much—EX’s voice coming from behind sends instant fear crawling over Etho’s spine. He straightens. “Heya! Where were ya?”

“Business,” EX says. “Do you think you can build it?”

“Absolutely,” Etho says. And he’s telling the truth. It’s an exciting challenge. He just wishes it wasn’t for EX, wasn’t for stealing from Ren, and that he wasn’t stuck here solely because he had a busted ankle and he couldn’t outrun EX.

EX just nods and walks away.

Etho watches him for a moment, then goes back to digging through the chest. Pretending he can’t feel EX watching him from across the room. *** PART 1 (in case you've found this post on it's own)

im sorry im sorry im sorry i know it’s been well over a year but i accidentally thought about Short Trips: Deleted Scenes (again) and it’s killing me (again) so i think im just gonna go ahead and post all these stupid thoughts that have been plaguing me about it since i first heard it & maybe that’ll help clear up some space in my head for like, real life things.

Spoilers I guess? It’s like a year and a half old but also high key the most recent 2nd doctor content i believe we’ve gotten which is like, the only negative thing I can say about it

The TLDR version is this:

I literally cant believe how sweet it is? Painful, but sweet. Like. I don’t honestly know what’s more likely - did they set out to write Jamie a nice little straight love interest and just fail miserably at it by constantly likening her to the Doctor AND paralleling the Doctor’s perspective with her ex’s AND putting Jamie’s relationships with both of them in direct tension with each other while constantly letting his with the Doctor win out?

OR - did they do a very 1960s thing and say hey we’re gonna write what’s essentially a story about how much Jamie and the Doctor love each other and release it on Valentine’s Day thinly disguised as a one-off romance with a french lady?

Now, as a general rule, my attitude toward questions like that is usually “don’t know, don’t care, doesn’t matter” - and while I 100% stand by that, I also have to admit that this particular audio seems to pay enough attention to detail that I’d kind of think I was selling it short if I assumed too many of these things were just meaningless coincidences, you know?

Anyway, that’s the most coherent/overarching thought. And here’s a disorganized list of things I absolutely cannot get over about it (they don’t form any kind of argument, mind, they just all happen to live rent free in my head):

- Celine is first taken in by Jamie being an idiot (specifically him claiming not to speak French, in perfect French); likewise, her entrance in the scene where they actually kiss is marked with a little anecdote about her hat getting stuck on a doornail and her scolding it as she attempts to fix her un-tameable appearance, and the narration says Celine “would often clown for Jamie like this” - all of which, while undeniably adorable, don’t exactly strike me as entirely original traits to have been assigned to Jamie’s love-interest (but also Celine is so cool and her perspective on film/media/time is an excellent addition to the long list of dr who characters)

- When they’re in the present, describing Jamie’s relationship with Celine in 1908, they call him her “companion” and highlight his going nearly everywhere with her, which earns a laugh from the 4th doctor (and me as well, though probably for slightly different reasons - but like, is that really all it takes to have a fling with someone in 60′s era who? bc if so...)

- Celine’s ex-fiance is still in love with her and is jealously watching when she kisses Jamie ... and then the Doctor appears beside him, evidently doing the exact. same. thing. They have the following conversation:

“You know, it’s not prudent to spy on people. But then, people in pain can’t be expected to act prudently.”

“Pain, monsieur? You mistake me.”

“Ah, do I? Good, because I rather thought you’d lost something.”

“What would you know about loss monsieur?”

- I’m sorry doc but who do you think you are, saying stuff like that and smiling sadly at the floor to boot? I 100% had to pause it here the first time I listened, just to not throw my laptop across the room. 

- Then when I recovered continued, the Doctor closes the door so they can’t watch anymore and explains “Possessing things comes so terribly easily to some men that losing them can feel cruel, intolerably cruel. In my experience, only the very best of men cannot be tempted to answer that cruelty with more - I do sincerely hope that you are the best of men.” (guess who gets described as the best of men by the end of the audio?)

- Jamie and the Doctor apparently develop a habit of walking along the river in Paris in silence

- During one such walk, Jamie suggests Celine come with them since she already figured out about the Tardis - and when the Doctor’s worried by this, he says he only allowed Jamie & Celine to grow closer “because of Victoria.” Jamie takes offense at the ‘allowing it’ comment and also refuses to admit he knows what the Doctor means about Victoria, which leads the Doctor to say that he knows how fond Jamie was of her - he was too, of course, but with him, “it was different, wasn’t it?” Jamie only says maybe that’s true and maybe that’s not, but his voice catches until he changes the subject

- Jamie doesn’t see Celine for days both times that she’s recovering from the shock and depression of her work being destroyed. In contrast, when the Doctor’s not well, Jamie’s "afraid” and “guilty” and hardly seems to leave his side at all, if his being there “rushing to embrace him” the second he wakes up - after a period Jamie describes as “at least a week” - is anything to go by, anyway. so either bf writers need to learn how to write a committed straight relationship or admit that’s not what they ever intended in the first place

- Oh yeah, and the Doctor spends that week "asleep” in Jamie’s bedroom - no, there’s no explanation as to if that’s where he was when he first collapsed or if it’s where Jamie decided to take him bc why would they feel the need to explain him being there? why was it even relevant to tell us it was Jamie’s room in the first place?

- The Doctor somehow manages to control the Tardis enough to take Celine on one trip to an alien planet and then return to the correct time & place for her to use the footage she recorded there in her new film - and while the audio doesn’t do very much to explain how that was possible, it does treat this as A Pretty Big Deal, and immediately afterward the Doctor has to spend a week communing with his past self (and/or the Tardis?) debating how likely it is that the Time Lords could use this to trace him. When he decides it’s not worth the risk and they have to stop the film from ever being shown to the public, Jamie asks why he agreed to it in the first place, and all he can say is “Because, Jamie, you asked me to!” earning awkward stares from the crowd.

- Oh, but, lest we forget, that little outburst is also immediately followed by him putting his arm around Jamie’s shoulders, and, shockingly, apparently beginning to actually explain the truth about the danger from the Time Lords - until they’re interrupted, of course idk why exactly but the idea of a 60s dr wanting to come clean with a companion but not being allowed to bc the show demands the war games be something of a reveal hurts me in a very good way

- The mental image of “the Doctor and Jamie, resplendent in borrowed evening wear”

- The audio admitting that Jamie’s not very good at subterfuge, and the Doctor asking if he’s going to be alright with them having to steal the film back from Celine - and Jamie’s little “Aye, Doctor” as he feels a ‘glass arrow piercing his chest’ glad to see bf is reading all my letters about exactly how i feel any time something sad happens to james robert mccrimmon

- The Doctor’s anxious to get out of there for obvious reasons, but he hangs around bc Jamie wants to see Celine again - which doesn’t happen, because of her aforementioned shock & depression, but she does leave Jamie a note that ends “you and that Doctor of yours - look after him Jamie, he loves you dearly, as do I.” yeah, if you didn’t want people to draw a parallel there, you could’ve picked, like, any other wording in the world.

- In case you weren’t fully convinced I’ve been reading too much into this whole audio already, consider this: Celine dies in Long Island in 1968, three days before her birthday - 1968 is when this story would’ve taken place in the show’s history (between Fury & Wheel), and dying three days before/after a birthday in America seems a bit... well I had some deja vu from it, anyway

- Four of all people being the one to bring back the film - I know he does it bc Sarah Jane makes him, but personally, I often feel like despite the length of his run, 4 is the Doctor with which we might’ve gotten the fewest glimpses into his interiority, so the fact that it’s him and not one of the more overtly sentimental Doctors makes it feel like it carries even more weight somehow, to me anyway. I think I wrote a post saying roughly the same thing about 4 & Fate of Krelos/Return to Telos but maybe I only did that inside my own head lol. Still, I’m all for any opportunities for Jamie to be one of the few characters to draw some noticeable emotion out of Four, but in fairness I haven’t touched too much of his EU stuff to really be able to compare the frequency with which this happens with other past companions

- Is Four referring to Two or Jamie when he says he got the film from “an old family friend”? Two did the actual stealing, but he probably means Jamie’s involvement - either way, it’s an interesting way of describing old companions - or selves?

- When Jemima goes to call Jamie a thief, Four is “roused” to defend him: “he really was the very best of men” again, any time four freely shows he cares about someone, im over the moon about it

- Oh ha ha, there’s an audio called “Deleted Scenes” featuring the Doctor who’s most affected by junked episodes. And at the end of it, a character who’s spent her life researching and lecturing about a lost film gets to watch it be ‘rediscovered’ after it’s gone unseen for decades. I feel marginally less stupid for reading into the other details of a story like this when it ends up deciding to be to be clever & slightly meta like that

But yeah

all in all, it’s kind of amazing to me that this genuinely reads like they sat down and said okay boys it’s valentines day, let’s write an audio where jamie kisses a girl, since that hasn’t happened except as a plot device in one story in 1967 - but then when they got down to business they accidentally(?) wrote a story all about how important his bond with the Doctor is and how easily that can be compared to a legitimate love interest (even if the love interest in question is a one off character & the extent of the relationship appears to be like one kiss & then having Jamie spend most of his time around the Doctor instead)

I realize there’s something slightly illogical about writing the words “shipping aside” after a post like this but seriously - no matter how many categories you’re able to see two & jamie’s relationship fitting into, this is 40 minutes of big finish just hitting you over the head with how powerful/special/important that relationship is, and with them being two of my favorite characters, i really haven’t been able to stop thinking about it since

hi im here making it abundantly clear that it is not the new drug addiction that is going to make john a villain.

this IS the cw and that’s how they will frame it because they are fucking terrible but i DIGRESS. here’s what’s going to make john a villain:

john is a bastard man at his core. john does care for his friends but he has always cared for HIMSELF more. john has canonically been responsible for the deaths of most if not all of his closest friends. john has canonically thrown his lovers into hell/used his friends/lovers as bait/as means to achieve his goals even if it mean sacrificing them. 

like. literally his first proper hellblazer arc is feeding his best friend to a demon!!! if you’re only including dctv he literally does this in his own show too!! he can and will make the hard decisions for the “Greater good” and in this case the “greater good” to him is him keeping his magic!

john canonically does good things but he is not a good person.  like. okay. like he LITERALLY brainwashed/magically mind controlled spooner at the end there. that is like. i know legends is like. jokey about stuff that should be serious but he Literally stripped her of her autonomy for his own personal interests. and like dude i dont know how to tell you how SEVERELY fucked up that is.

and I KNOW that “england is racist they called me a degenerate for being bi and my dad abused me” speech is literally... so good but like. to a character like john that IS straight up manipulation. like. i could LITERALLY see the thought text boxes where he thinks about how he’s just using her despite her being a good kid because the fountain of imperium is dangerous unstable magic!!!! like that’s TEXTBOOK HELLBLAZER. 

like i know legends has given him the chance to heal and maybe become a better person which IS mostly uncharted waters with him but CAN you really teach an old dog new tricks ? john deciding that he’d rather put his friends in danger even if it means tapping into unstable magic (this referring to the fountain of imperium not the drugs) is a choice he made that is SO in-line with who he is as a character. and now that the drugs have taken the place of the fountain of imperium, he’s choosing to STILL not tell the legends that he is stripped of his magic.

THAT’S what’s going to make john finally sink into the villain arc because that’s who he is. the legends were ALWAYS too nice of a group for someone like him. john works alone and from the shadows, he works best when he can work alone without the restrictions of most moral debates. this is what makes him the IDEAL candidate for the next LoT villain because they are a bunch of goody-two-shoes. not the fact that they introduced some magical drug and he’s now addicted to it.

the cat was called pussboy by tommy, but dream only called it "the cat" and then said that "it was hope", which is why it sort of became a symbol (his hope is dead, basically) - that's why i kind of made its name capitalized, because it was more of a metaphor than anything.

most c!dream fans call the cat hope because it's just really nice and really symbolic, and also really sad when you think about it. that's why the name was used in the essay, just to clear up the confusion!

i don't really think so? mooshroom henry was entertainment more than anything, and even if it was bad, when watching the stream i don't remember seeing him mourn that much - on the other hand, dream was very quickly and very obviously attached to the cat, with it being his only companion in months of isolation, along with the hope that even when tommy left it would keep him company.

keep in mind c!dream has been deprived of stimuli and human contact for so long it's officially classified as psychological torture at that point.

i don't mean to compare trauma or even compare deaths - because honestly, what c!dream and c!tommy have gone through individually is incomparable and i think neither should be diminished in favor of the other since they're both terrible situations.

that's why i disagree that it "was nothing compared to" - it had an obvious effect on c!dream, and was still c!tommy killing an animal specifically to hurt him, no matter what reasons he had.

when i'm talking about effects people's actions have had on c!dream, i'm not talking about those people. i'm talking about him. :) /lh

as for the trauma, a lot of people agree that a lot of the things he says or does are trauma responses, and hence it's very possible that he's had trauma before he went into prison!

this includes being repeatedly called a tyrant via propaganda by about half of your friends who decided to betray you, trying to keep peace and being pushed deeper into villainy instead, repeatedly being put in between a rock and a hard place in order to make sure the people you care about don't start killing each other, then being betrayed by your closest friends after merely trying to keep peace (sapnap & george) and just in general having no control over your life or image and grasping at straws to gain it back.

i know a lot of people with trauma who heavily relate to certain trauma responses, which aren't always just shaky breaths and flashbacks, but trauma often also manifests itself in extremely ugly and destructive ways, both inwardly and outwardly.

trying to control the people around you is also very often a response to going through trauma, as well as emotional repression which is... rather evident on c!dream during season two. it only seems to get worse with repeated abandonment.

in the end, during the vault scene, the way he acts really just isn't at all the way a healthy person would act, and a lot of his really bad mindsets come from the way he was taught by the world around him.

the character is very reserved however, and since we don't have his pov we can't really say for certain - a lot of people claim it in good faith because they have a lot of evidence for it, and i think they're certainly valid in that.

that is just before the prison, however. from what happened during the prison arc? there is no denying he's traumatized at this point.

he's been emotionally and physically abused by c!sam since the very beginning of being imprisoned, and being in solitary confinement for over two weeks is generally considered psychological (and maybe also physical?) torture. that alone shows up in a lot of symptoms of his mental deterioration while in pandora's during people's visits, and quackity's "sessions" just absolutely drove the point home.

what he's gone through during this arc is absolutely incomparable to anything others charactes have faced before, and it's just plain suffering being endured by someone who is, despite everything, still a human being.

as for the wilbur manipulation thing!! it's talking about the whole vassal scene (though even beforehand a lot of their interactions are pretty iffy), and here's a post about that :]

I also have a small question about the analysis u last reblogged cus it says "why dream needed lmanburg gone rightfully" and like. The house analogy is poor because for one cus the land is infinite. And 2 cus punz's yard was literally larger then lmanburg. And also stuff about dream being a mediator? Can u provide examples?

i wouldn't say it was poor. dream's said a lot of times that he didn't care in the slightest about the land - a lot of his problems with l'manberg arose with the fact that wilbur basically built it on lies and tried to disallow half of the server to come there. c!dream was mad about the division and the fact that wilbur wanted "freedom" to have authority in his lands - over others, as can be seen in this post also.

the table analogy was fitting not because dream was some overlord, but because these were literally friends he invited to hang out and live in a place he wanted to call home. claiming a part of it for yourself and saying people of a certain nationality can't come in is directly opposing those goals.

in the early days of the smp, dream's always been a mediator between his friends - sapnap and george, who would often get into fights and go around killing each other! he would always do his best to stop the conflict, which continued after tommy joined when he took him to court and then later tried to mediate conflicts he was a part of, which resulted in tommy killing him unprovoked, stealing his gear, and starting the disc wars when dream was trying to get his stuff back. later, during pogtopia, he is also most concerned with peace over everything, and this seems to continue indefinitely after.

Today i was thinking about how messed up the final control room was. Like. Dream arranged the betrayal and punz and sapnap killed tommy and tubbo who like. Were literal children and their pals (because the author, wilbur soot, is dead/j but srsly if u take the streamers words tommy said he was 9 during the revolution sooo)

Sorry im gonna ramble about how dumb canon ages are for a second cus like. Streamers can say the characters are one way or another (wilbur saying he is mentally 30-something, etc.) But in the end the characters act like they(or at least their streaming personas) do.

i... honestly don't find it that bad? they were in a war, and the final control room was basically just supposed to end it quicker. the l'manbergians made it clear they were going to fight to the death, so they really left c!dream no other choice. and it's not like he didn't give them chances to give up.

also yeah the 9 year old thing was retconned, because in that case c!dream would've been 14 and i don't think that's true.

c!tommy and c!dream were both young and once again, in a war. the final control room was an attempt to assure victory, which both sides would've taken if possible, but only c!dream saw he had the option.

i do agree the whole child soldier thing was bad but... complain about that to c!wilbur, methinks. he talked naive kids into fighting for his personal power. however, the age argument isn't really valid either way. they had enough agency to sign up for it, and whether or not c!wilbur pushing the intense nationalism onto them had something to do with that is another debate entirely.

Bacl to final control room cus like??? Also fun fact punz took 2 of wilbur's canon lives. And like that probably is what started wilbur's paranoia which later lead to his spiral and i. Many thoughts full of lmanburg today.

i'm pretty sure cc!wilbur said what lead to c!wilbur's spiral was a "dark, twister view of possessions" and "disregard for his fellow citizen whom he claimed to love so much", but i really wouldn't say it was the control room; if anything the sudden loss of power after the elections seems to me like the trigger for his spiral.

I watched the exile arc live and. I feel dirty almost for feeling little to no sympathy for c!dream (srry ive been forgetting to add that aa) because of his actions toward c!tommy and like. The whole probation was so humiliating and unfair and c!dream was planning to frame him for the crimes he and puffy did under the the guise of "pranks" and c!quackity was planning to seize the vice president role.

i mean... to be fair, if you didn't watch the prison arc much yet or only watch tommy's perspective i understand not feeling that sympathetic - however, i encourage you to maybe watch a few prison visits, since they could help you see the whole picture better!

i also watched it live, and i also thought it was terrible, but i share very much the same sentiment for the prison arc because. absolutely no one should have to go through either of those things, you know?

i don't think probation was that humiliating? he was just. being asked to not start conflict with the other factions for two weeks. of course, what happened as a result is in no way justified, but i don't think probation itself would've been bad at all. either way yeah the framing and c!quackity's behaviour was. very yikes, i agree.

Also c!tommy antis are dumb because they say "he deserved exile angry emoji" i dont see u saying that about ranboo. Just say you hate cc!tommy and go. Also people say c!tommy was just as toxic to c!dream and i??? No. One is the victim and one is the abuser and like. :/// man. This part is rambly srry

i wouldn't say they hate cc!tommy? cc!tommy has a persona who people think is annoying at first ( but then they subscribe because he is super entertaining big man! ) but a lot of c!tommy's actions are straight up toxic to certain characters, such as c!funndy and c!jack. he has a very dismissive attitude towards others and their trauma and it does affect the people around them very negatively.

examples; his repeated bullying and behavior towards fundy:

Tommy: “Fundy, I’m just here to kinda let you know that I – if you weren’t Wilbur’s son, you would be out of L’manburg, alright? Just remember – you need to keep that relationship with your father. I saw how asshole-y and bratty you were acting in the courtroom the other night. You need to pull your shit together young man.”

Fundy: “I’m wearing glasses…are you making fun of my eyesight?!”

Tommy: “Yes.”

Sapnap: “Your father would be very disappointed.”

Fundy: “Wh – disappointed for wearing glasses?!”

Tommy: “You got glasses, like what are you wearing…”

Fundy: “What do you mean?”

Tommy: “Sapnap, Sapnap, over here. Fundy, Fundy, Fundy, I’m really sorry to say this – I’m just here to publicly denounce you.”

he's also responsible for a big chunk of c!jack's trauma, both with actions and words, and that's why i think certain people might dislike the character, and i don't think that's wrong of them. anyone can dislike any character they want if they don't attack people for liking them, in my opinion.

also c!tommy was most definitely toxic against c!dream in the cell. it's of course understandable but that doesn't change the fact he was constantly hitting and insulting him (without dream doing anything back for a long while until he snapped) which is toxic behaviour.

i wouldn't say he was "just as" though, so i agree with you on that. they're different and they behave differently.

Like to think that alongside Volt, Mylene and Lync were also recruited by Hydron

None of them officially joined until they were a bit older but probably trained to eventually join the Vexos; in the mean time they probably worked for Hydron or something like that

Volt recruited at 11; Lync a year later and Mylene following not long after (respectively 13, 8, 12 when they’re all gathered)

My reasoning to why Volt is patient with Lync’s antics and Mylene less so but doesn’t lash out as badly as you think she would around annoying little kids; grew up tgt moment

Spectra probably forced his way into the Vexos like “hiiii i see you dont have any Vexos members <3″ bcs obv he wasn’t using royal scientist dad privelages (i think, bcs Clay seems horrified abt Spectra being a Vexos and well, being Spectra) 

Shadow had an advantage of being a nobleman (in terms of him being accepted into the Vexos’ ranks)

the Vexos and their set of rules magent-ed on the fridge door or something and every time they go over a page they have to staple/tape a new page on

Joined in this order, Volt, Spectra, Shadow, Mylene, Lync, Gus 

Vexos being a “chance of death low but the chance is still there” type of job... they feel like idols girl help they are bakugan idol group who work for the government

[canon?] was going on a route to being an “idol brawler”, because that’s kind of what their brawls felt like, since it was all purely for show with some competition. it felt less like a sport and more spectacle.

Gus wanting to be an idol brawler is actually such a funny string of words put together I’m making that a thing, if he didn’t join the Vexos he would’ve been an idol brawler

I like the Gus needs glasses hc (shoutout to @marmeladebois ‘s post on that) 

The hc of him being half human and Runo’s half brother is so good 

Cooks well but refuses to help cook fr the Vexos (unless Spectra specifically asks) --> that job is usually left to Volt

Mylene Ferrow

While I like the idea of her being from a military family, I want to make her like Ling Wen (TGCF) in the sense she started from the bottom and climbed to the top... it fits her ambitious nature of grasping for more, she hasn’t reached what she considers the top just yet... 

[very Ling Wen specific but Mylene being put in jail fr crimes unknown to me and being recruited  by Hydron bcs she kicked serious ass is an entertaining thought] 

I like to think she’s closest to Shadow due to the fact he kind of forces his presence onto her so... not her choice in that matter. “annoying” to “endearingly annoying, you still aren’t getting special treatment though”

Ofc Volt and Lync are on the same level, but I think they all know when to give each other space so they’re more of a “we hold each other at a distance, but we’re aware of out closeness which is enough for us”

Then its Spectra and then Gus in the “closest to Mylene” scale; she just straight up hates Gus and it’s mutual

whoever made the “Mylene and Spectra were exes” hc I think it’s really funny so I’m adding it here 

terrible fashion, she’s the one who chose the outfits when she and Shadow went to earth; her fashionable armor look she usually has was designed with Volt’s help, she just voiced what she generally wanted 

Her red lipstick look was bcs she thought it’d make her look more serious/ intimidating (Volt and Lync approved, it rlly does work on her)

Shadow matches w/ her (via his red nails) after they get teamed up tgt several times bcs he thinks they’re basically the go-to duo matchup whenever they’re assigned work n it’d be cool

She’s grateful she got out of jail but she still has no respect for Hydron and despite how much she tries to hide it she does make it pretty clear to him she doesn’t really like him

I wish I had more to say about her... but It’s all relationship esque, i think in general she’s enjoyable and good so what I want more out of her is character dynamics

june 29th, or a little more that 6 months ago i posted my first fic. that was honestly the best decision of my life because tho tumblr is a hellsite it’s a hellsite that got me through a hellish year. i just want to come out and express my extreme gratitude for all of the people who have gotten me through 2020.

OH BOY UHHHHH YEET HERE WE GO:

he’s covered in freckles. just absolutely loaded with freckles. I know this isn’t shown in the comic but I feel it in my heart. he’s also hairier than he looks.

his eyes are brown [which is actually seen later on, but I’m putting them here anyway because it’s important to note considering 616 matt has blue eyes in the comics] and he’s right-handed but taught himself to be ambidextrous mostly to drive the nuns crazy when he used his “improper” left hand. [and 616 matt is left-handed] when I draw him based on NMCU matt, I part his hair the opposite way and also he’s 2 inches taller than regular!matt putting him at 6 ft — this may or may not be because he was nurtured more under the Hand than regular!matt ever was.

he likes to go by matthew. not matt, or matty. full names are kind of his thing, though he dishes out nicknames for everyone else.

he grew up in the orphanage and lived in a dorm at Catholic school, but unlike regular!matt he was seen as a perfect angel who could do no wrong. everyone pitied him and his hard life. everyone let him get out of trouble scot-free. he brown-nosed everyone he could to get what he wanted. of course, he was actually a chaotic little demon coming up with elaborate pranks and skipping class to get high under the stairs but he never took the blame for anything he did. he’s been a manipulative mastermind since DAY ONE.

he was 10000% a theatre kid. like, always getting the lead part in the musical, stuck-up, holier-than-thou kind of theatre kid. he can sing, he can dance, he can act his heart out and put tears in your eyes — and everyone ate it up because he’s the poor little orphan blind boy! and look how talented he is! [big headcanon he played Valjean in Les Mis] he was also big into speech & debate for obvious reasons. he loves going to Broadway performances and is also partial to drag shows. he thinks drag queens [and kings] are the funniest people on the planet.

because he was fully trained by the Hand, I think his senses are actually better honed and more controllable than regular!matt’s. this is why he can wear strongly-scented cologne and occasionally smoke without making himself ill, and go to clubs without blowing his eardrums out.

like any poisonous animal, he wears bright colors and garish patterns, though he prefers shades of red and only wears gold metal. he has his suits tailored, and almost always wears silk shirts underneath them; the only other thing he ever wears are [red and gold] silk robes when he’s at home. Tom Ford quivers before him.

he’s shamelessly bisexual but prefers men, and he’ll run a blade through anyone who dares to judge him for it. [and despite how controlling he is, he actually is a bottom most of the time]

he likes to be barefoot because he can feel minute vibrations and get a “clearer” picture around him in a larger radius. also it lets him move quieter, which he enjoys so he can sneak up on people like some terrible phantom. And it’s just a plain power move in front of people during board meetings, especially when he sits on the table itself. feral bastard energy. no one can say boo to him about it.

after he became kingpin and got all the riches and power along with it, he converted a church into a luxury loft so that he could live and work out of this very imposing stone fortress with gorgeous stained glass windows and also be as blasphemous as possible. when he calls people in for one-on-one meetings he sits at his desk in the dark with nothing but the light through the stained glass to illuminate him. it’s about the ~theatrics.~

he’s a food snob, let’s be real. he wines and dines at the nicest spots in the city, or makes them do his dishes to-go so that he can sit and eat them on top of a roof or a bridge, overseeing his kingdom in peace. also bc he’s just weird like that. his favorite food is szechuan.

also a personal headcanon unrelated to the comics but.... he’s married to e-65 eddie brock in my heart and soul, twin to elsa brock. they grew up as high school sweethearts but parted ways to protect him after the Hand imposed a rule that he must kill his first love to prove himself, and spent college apart when eddie moved across the country. eddie moved back to NYC in adulthood and essentially became the wesley to his kingpin; who better to accompany him than a personal symbiote bodyguard? he can kill AND he can clean up the scene. [and this is all in a fic that I can link in another post!]
