Based on the following conversation I had with my sibling while watching the JoJo dub for the millionth time:

Them: “Did Dio just make a Hamlet reference? Dio knows Hamlet?”

Me: “He’s a well-read Victorian dude with a university education. Why wouldn't he?????”

Anyway, I love the Polonius line in the dub. Not only does it have a villainous gravitas to it… but I can accurately pinpoint the exact kind of man we’re dealing with:

An adult theater kid.

The drama! The theatrics! It all makes sense!

Well-read? Yes, past me, but we already know that. Isn’t Dio being just a little bit of a theater nerd more satisfying?
