#recognizing that I’m massively triggered when I think someone is mad at me#and the line between checking in to make sure you haven’t done something offensive#vs wanting that person to reassure you isn’t always clear through the haze#and inaction feels like abdicating responsibility#when I’m actually just not making my shit anyone else’s problem#when I was growing up I was guilted into things that I was literally unable to do#and told that if I didn’t I would go to hell after a lifetime of believing I was saved bc I denied Christ#and told that my anxiety over it was the devil and proof that I needed to do the thing they wanted#and that’s how the say something at every instance and your anxiety over it is just fragility is hitting#i can stop and attend to my trauma bc I deserve peace and good treatment#I can stop and think about how I want to show up in the world even if people disagree#others can be mad at me#I can have acted in a reasonable way that still hurt others and that’s just life#I can decide for myself how I should proceed
