Irreplaceable Pt. 2 | Yandere!Avengers x Reader
Tumblr media
It'd been about three weeks since you'd had your life taken away from you.
You'd been living in the Avengers Tower seeing as you had no where else to go.
When you tried to call your parents the first week, Natasha was the one that decided to tell you that they'd been arrested by SHEILD for having relations with HYDRA.
You didn't believe her, but she was quick to bring you to their holding cells.
You and your parents both knew that it was the Avengers doing, but had no power or evidence to show it.
You'd wept for days after that.
Your ex-friends had really taken everything that had meaning to you.
And now, you were laying across one of the many luxury couches in one of the many common rooms of the tower.
You would much rather be in your room, but Tony made sure that Jarvis locked you out after 9 o'clock. He believed that forcing you out to hang with everyone would get you back to how you used to be. Or at least somewhere close to it.
Sooner or later, you would realize that all of this was for you.
Natasha was sat beside you, legs crossed with wireless earphones in, watching whatever on her phone.
There was always someone with you once you were forced out of your room. You barely got any time alone when you were awake.
Hell, you couldn't even get any time alone at night anymore. The anxiety from having your life taken from you made it impossible to sleep and Tony was quick to get you medicated to help out with that.
You still felt like shit either way.
Steve came strolling into the living area, bidding you both a good morning.
You gave no kind of response, staring forward at nothing in particular, wrapped up in a light blue, fleece blanket that you'd received as a gift from a friend when you'd first gotten ownership of the library.
"Hey, (Y/N), did you eat this morning?" Steve asked, at your lack of answer, he sighed exasperatingly, "Come on, (Y/N), you know that you have to eat. You'll never feel better if you just lay around all day."
Natasha began to stroke your head, trying to get you to pay attention but you quickly slapped her hand away and pushed yourself up into a sitting position.
"I'll never feel better. You guys can sit here and pretend that we're one big happy family, but I'm not playing." You started, voice shaky with anger and sadness, "You never supported me and abused your power to take away my life and made me dependent on you guys. And now you guys want me to be happy?"
Steve and Natasha only stared. Were they taking in your words? Who knows. You didn't care.
"No. I will not give you my happiness or my willing compliance. None of you deserve that part of me anymore."
"I have brought poptarts for Young (Y/N)!" Thor's boisterous voice boomed, a warm plate of freshly toastered poptarts in his hands for you both to share.
At the sullen atmosphere, Thor looked between his friends, "Am I interrupting something?"
"No, Thor. (Y/N)'s just a little hangry. Thanks for bringing the poptarts." Natasha answered for you, gesturing for the god to come over, "You guys eat while Steve and I go find the guys."
You watched the two leave and pushed the plates of poptarts away from your person, leaving Thor in the dust and hiding away in the bathroom, ignoring his calls for you.
You lowered yourself to the cool tile, gripping fistfuls of your hair.
Why?
Why did this have to happen to you?
Why did they do this to you?
You wished there was some way to get out of this, but... where would you even go?
You couldn't survive homelessness in New York. And it'd be increasingly hard to find a job now that you had a criminal record due to your 'friends' planting confidential information in your library.
And even if you did land a job, it wouldn't provide you with a livable wage. You'd be barely surviving.
And could you ever really escape the Avengers?
Though the better question was, could you survive playing family with them? You doubted they would ever grow tired of you.
They really made sure that you had no other choice.
A knock on the door jolted you from your spiraling mental, "(Y/N), what did I tell you about hiding in the bathroom?!" It was Tony, the one you hated the most.
You could feel something in your mind cracking again, somehow worse than when your library was taken. Everything was really starting to close in on you.
These bastards... these bastards really wanted you to be happy for them... like some kind of fucking dog they found abandoned in the freezing cold.
Tony knocked more and you could hear Bruce telling him to ease up, "You're gonna scare them. They'll open it when they're ready."
Oh, but you'd never be ready.
The knocking stopped and you continued to stay seated on the ground, staring at the tile and hands tightly gripping your hair.
Why couldn't they have just left you alone like you'd asked?
You were left alone to your spiraling thoughts, your breathing growing more and more intense. Your heart beat through your chest, screaming and riving to be let out.
Your vision was starting to go spotty. Nothing else mattered but how angry you were. All you could see was bright red.
A scream ripped from your throat, splattering the confined walls of the bathroom and spilling out through the crevices of the closed door.
Pain began to blossom on your head, but you didn't care. You were too angry to care about physical pain.
Why and what were you being punished for?
Why had these demons, calling themselves angels, from hell do everything they could in their power to knock you down to try and piece you back together?
What gave them the right?
Now you were on the bathroom floor losing your mind when you could've been helping a young woman find a good book to check out or having a bagel from across the street while you read at the counter.
"(Y/N)! Goddamnit! (Y/N), STOP!" Bruce was on your back, desperately trying to grab your hands.
You fought against him, screaming to be left alone but he didn't. He just kept your hands away from your head and instructed you to breathe.
Once your breathing was under control, you noticed that something was in your hands and slowly glanced over, whimpering when you'd noticed what you'd done.
Thick clumps of hair were gripped tightly in both your bloodied fists. And there were plenty more strands and clumps decorating the tiled floor around you accompanied by droplets of blood.
You tried to stand up but Bruce kept you on the ground and you growled, "Get off! Let me see!" You snapped, tears welling in your eyes.
"No!" He snapped back, "It's not bad... there's no need to look."
"You're a fucking liar." You sobbed, "All of you are liars!"
Once you'd wept yourself to sleep and had been put to bed early, the team decided to have a late night meeting.
Tony took a swig of his scotch. He rubbed a hand down his face. Everyone was silent, waiting for someone to speak up.
"Ok, they're not adjusting. I admit it." Tony spoke.
"Yeah, just like I'd warned." Natasha reminded coolly.
"We should've went about this more slowly. (Y/N) could've easily been coaxed to live here." Clint added, arms crossed.
Steve shook his head, "No, they loved that library way too much... worked too hard to get it. They never would've left that library for us."
Bruce tapped a finger against the table impatiently, "We have to do something. We can't carry on like everything's normal," He had a hard frown stuck on his face, "(Y/N) is not ok. We brought them here for their own good and they seem to be doing worse than ever."
They all went silent again. What were they going to do?
Natasha's eyes sparked and she looked over at Clint with a knowing gaze, "Clint, isn't there an agent with memory-altering abilities?"
Clint visibly brightened at that, "Agent Keller."
_______________________________________________
"(Y/N), it's time to wake up. Steve is almost finished making breakfast downstairs." JARVIS spoke calmly.
With a big stretch, you yawned and rolled out of bed. A dull throb throughout your head made it's presence known and you winced slightly, making your way to the common area.
"Hey, everybody!" You called out.
"(Y/N)!" Steve greeted, "You made it just in time. I just finished the banana pancakes, you want any eggs and bacon before they get taken?" He asked.
You shrugged, nodding tiredly, "Yeah, I'll have some."
Everyone began to make their way to the table, plates stacked with food.
Tony was the last to arrive, smiling at you carefully, "How's your head feeling?"
You smiled back, a fond smile, "A little sore... but the medicine you gave me is making it manageable."
Clint nodded at that, "Yeah, having your hair ripped off by a beggar will do that." He teased.
You chuckled back, "Yeah... also... I had a crazy ass dream last night. I was a bookkeeper with a whole book store. A bookkeeper, can you guys believe that?" You ate a bite of eggs with a thoughtful gaze, "But... it was so nice."
Natasha hummed at that, her chin resting in her hand as she stared at you quizzingly, "But not as nice as being here with us, right?"
You shook your head, "No, I suppose not."

Selkie!Elliott HCs Part 3 - Longing
The farmer misses Elliott while he's in seal form.
Similar HCs: Part 2, Part 1
I have had a busy weekend but have been itching to make this for a few days, so here goes! This one is not happy so I'm sorry. Also, I am so bad at writing poetry, that part alone took an hour lol
established relationship, ANGST, fem!farmer, selkie!elliott, elliott x farmer, does this count as a long distance relationship?, unhealthy coping mechanisms/alcohol, loneliness, hurt not much comfort, swearing, probably bad poetry, barely proofread
Occasionally, Elliott will feel the call of the sea and have to return to the ocean for an extended period
We're talking maybe 5 MONTHS on average
It's not his fault, it's literally the way selkies are as a species
Then, he'll turn into a seal and swim in the ocean for that time
When he takes seal form, he forgets his human memories and his human traits, he is literally a seal
Elliott has always disliked the call of the sea because he's an author, his whole life and profession are built upon words and communication
And to have that taken from him is difficult, but he could bear it
But after he met the farmer? He hates every second of it
It pulls him away from his love, and it is excruciating for both of them
That being said, the farmer is not a controlling partner or anything
She doesn't take/hide his seal skin coat, she trusts that Elliott will always come back and she's also not going to trap him in a relationship or anything
Additionally, she knows he doesn't leave on purpose since he dreads this time as much as she does
That being said, it still negatively affects her too, and it's pretty terrible all around
One day, while Elliott is gone, the farmer is fishing to pass the time. It's the evening and the sun is dipping toward the ocean, preparing to disappear below the waves
She's singing and humming under her breath, thinking about Elliott, and sipping straight from a bottle of rum sitting next to her
"Brandy, you're a fine girl, what a good wife you would be..."
Then she gasps as a seal's head appears and pokes through the waves.
"...Eli? Are you finally coming home?"
It is him, the farmer could tell because his eyes are similar and because in both forms, he has a small spot on his neck
Looking into his eyes with Elliott as a seal is so offputting, they're missing his characteristic fire and excitement, which is just replaced with a dull wariness
She reels in her fishing rod so that he doesn't try to bite the baited hook and he jumps up on the pier, tilting his head at her in curiosity
The farmer knows better than to treat Elliott as a human in this form. As much as she longs for it, it's no happy reunion. She'd be lucky if he even recognized her face, much less remembered her name or their relationship
Despite this, despite everything, she smiles at him
"I'm so glad to see you, my love"
She's beyond worried about him, having to survive in the ocean by himself, living day by day
The farmer rummages through her backpack and Elliott shrinks away, his usually beautiful mind reduced to only instinct. His fear vanishes when she produces a large fish, tossing it in front of him on the pier, talking to him while he eats
"I miss you, you know," she sighs, "I wish I knew when you were coming home"
Elliott just whines in her direction while the farmer keeps talking
"I miss your face and your hugs. I miss your arms pulling me towards you. I miss our dances and our late-night conversations. I know absence makes the heart grow fonder," she wipes away a tear, "But I just miss you, Elliott."
The farmer sips from the bottle of rum between statements
"I mean... fuck," she drinks from the bottle again, throwing him another fish to eat, "I would give so much to just hear your voice."
There's no response from Elliott. There never is when he's like this. No hint of his usual introspective and intelligent self.
The farmer begins to sob into her hands, her back rising and falling with each sob and her body shaking.
Elliott just watches her with confusion. He's just a seal right now and he does not have the capacity to help her
The farmer closes her eyes, imagining him hugging and whispering to her.
"My love, what's the matter?"
He would then wipe her tears off of her face and leave a trail of kisses up her neck
The farmer wants so badly for it to be real and to see her boyfriend again. It's been 3 months since they've talked at all
This daydream is broken by a loud splash as water sprays everything in its vicinity. The farmer looks up, her face wet from tears and the splash. Elliott is gone, disappearing into the ocean again
Eventually, the farmer stumbles home and eyes Elliott's journal on his desk.
As much as she supports Elliott, she never really understood poetry, always appreciating his novels and short stories more
But, in her tipsy state, she opens his journal and pours over the pages, dissecting each poem and every word. Tracing over his flowy cursive with her finger and soaking the pages with tears.
"If it isn't she, the wind combing its fingers through her hair Her face smiling and her beauty beyond compare How I long to spend most of my days on land With plenty of time to spare Yet destiny calls to me, and I am dragged to the sea
but remember when I'm sealed and weak to me, everything seems more bleak you color my world and help me endure the greatest troubles Your presence makes the flowers bloom and the birds sing. PS: Our love is one of my greatest joys. I'm likely longing for your embrace again, despite my lack of memory. I love you NO MATTER WHAT. - Elliott ❤️"
Shakily, the farmer closes Elliott's journal. She didn't mean to pry, but somehow, he was prepared for that.
The farmer sighs, smiling sadly.
"I think I understand poetry now"

Chapter 1 - Shall we open it?
Tumblr media
Mid September
He came home late that night, still upset about Spencer Wray's story.
The lights were off, the house was quiet. He was tired, but he needed to let go of the flow of thoughts that had invested him in the last few days.
He sat at the table, in the dark, the smell of the stew that Shelagh made for dinner still in the air. He really needed moments like that, soothing his senses and stop being Dr Turner to get into the shoes of the man Patrick Turner, the husband, the father. He sighed with a half smile, realizing that truth to be told, that side of him had no less thoughts than his professional alter ego.
The husband... of his Shelagh. God, how he loved that woman! So petite but so extraordinarily strong, delicate and bold at the same time (oh so much bold sometime…). They'd been married for ten years now, but he hadn't still finished wondering how much he loved her.
That woman who only a few days before had stormed into the Maternity Home, demanding to speak to him in private. He knew right away that it was serious... and it really was. He barely had time to close the door of his office and sit down when Shelagh blurted:
"I'm pregnant, again."
And then…there was Patrick, the father.
Timothy's father, his 20-year-old son who had been involved and quite shocked by the consequences of schizophrenia of the young Wray. His first born, everyday more and more like him, physically and temperamentally, who was growing into a young man and at the same time was also beginning to face the dark side of the medical profession.
Angela's father, his angel girl, to whom they would sooner rather than later have to disclose her whole story... reveal her about the special way she became part of their unique family.
May's father, who he loved so much that he was breathless at the thought that at any moment someone could come and tear her from their lives.
Teddy's father, their miracle, so like Shelagh in features and so like to him in character. A little rascal that with his funny faces could always make them smile, but at the same time a very sensitive and attentive kid, especially to his sisters and his mommy.
And...
He couldn't help it, the thought of a new baby possibly joining their family filled him with joy. He hadn't hesitated for a moment to be happy about it, not even when Shelagh had taken it out on him, her voice broken by tears, saying she was afraid she wouldn't make it because she was too old and too tired, that the house wasn't big enough, that they might not be enough. Of course they'll be enough! They will always be enough!
The sound of footsteps descending the stairs roused him from his thoughts. He knew those footsteps very well. He looked up and saw her coming down, wrapped in her blue robe.
"I couldn't sleep. The results of the test has arrived today…but I didn't open the envelope yet."
"I couldn't sleep either. You weren't in bed and I missed you" said her, going down the last few steps.
"Come here," he invited her with a smile, extending his hand towards hers than he kissed softly the back of her hand.
That gentle hand of his was her refuge and protection. Of course she was still scared (terrified to be honest) of what could happen from now on, but she knew deep down her heart that with him by her side she could face any storm, they had already done it in the past. They did it every day. They would do it again, no matter what.
She sat on the other side of the table, grabbed his other hand. They looked into each other's eyes, smiling tenderly.
"So…Shall we open it?" asked him.
"Oh Patrick, what if…"
"Shelagh, whatever the result, we will face it and we'll be fine."
He put his right hand in his jacket, taking off the envelope. She got up from the chair, approaching him. Patrick made her sit on his lap. They opened it together, their hands trembling, then Shelagh pulled out the sheet of paper with the result stamped from the lab.
In the center, typed, in capital letters well marked, there was written POSITIVE.
"Oh Patrick!…a baby.." stated Shelagh in a whisper
"A baby…" echoed Patrick, smiling.
"Am I allowed to be scared?"
"Shelagh, darling…you can, of course. But do know that everything is just as ought to be, because we have everything a family could want." reassured her by holding her in a warm embrace.
After a moment of silence, he softly added "And am I allowed to be happy?"
His question drew a smile on her face.
"Of course you can. I know you are happy. And I want you to know that, despite all my fears, I am too."
Overwhelmed by the emotions, they head to their bedroom still holding hands.
Once slipped into bed, they spent a few more minutes in each other arms, enjoying the moment. Before falling asleep Patrick whispered in her ear "Once more, we did it against all the odds my love".

Dead fish washed up along the banks. Their still twitching bodies boiled by the monster sheltering in their river.
The hero to be sighed his frustrations as he picked his way towards the source of this mess. The river steamed before it boiled, the water level lowered by the monster sitting in the middle of the bed. There was no water surrounding him, the heat of his small body evaporated any drop that got near.
The Villain, the boy, V, sat bare and alone, curled up on himself with his demonic tail whipping against the stone behind him. There'd been another incident, Connor hadn't stayed to listen to the details but this one was the first to have a potential body count. No one was dead yet, but the initial fire had left four badly burned and a stable without a roof.
V's powers were growing more and more with each day even as his ability to control them stagnated. It was a worrying turn of events for any young mage, a omen of the future to come for a prophesized demon king.
Connor undressed quickly when he was close enough. He may be fire proof, but his clothes weren't and V always made such a fuss when he accidentally seared something of Connor's.
"Go away," V snarled, not looking up from where he had his face tucked behind his boney knees.
"Nah. You successfully saved me from having to listen to another one of Madame Periwinkle's lectures about nature or whatever. I'm choosing to use this new free time to hang out with my friend," he sat behind V, leaning along his back and bumping their heads together.
"We're not friends." V curled tighter. He felt like a rock that had been warmed by the sun. Gentle and familiar even when Connor knew that if anyone else were to touch V when he was worked up like this, they'd have their flesh instantly evaporated. A part of him liked that. It meant V was safe even when Connor wasn't there to protect him.
"Yes we are. More than that even, we're practically brothers, V."
"You're going to kill me."
"No, I'm not."
"You can't escape fate. You're going to kill me."
"I'm not going to kill you. Ratna and I have already decided it. We're not going to let a dead guy decide out lives for us, and since we're ignoring the prophecy on every other front, I'm choosing to also ignore the part that says I'm going to kill my best friend."
"You have to kill me, there's no other choice. "
"Did you listen to anything -"
"I can't control myself Connor. I- I'm going to hurt people and I won't have anywhere to go and I'm going to be alone and hated and- and I'd rather you just kill me than make me have to find some other way to die."
"I'm here. Ratna wants to be your friend too. between the three of us... we'll figure something out, V. In her last letter she- don't tell her I told you -but she's started learning to control her magic. She's got this tutor, and thinks she might be able to help you too. Ratna wants to be the one to talk the teacher into it so we'll see how that goes-" he stops his ramble, "- What I'm saying is, you aren't going to be alone. Us, you me and Ratna? We're a set, and we'll do what we have to to stay together."
"I've never even met her," it was a weak protest.
"So? You will and you two will get along like rats and fleas," Connor let V settle into silence. The smaller boy was relaxing bit by bit and that was all they needed to worry about in that moment.
The water came back slowly as the heat of V's body calmed back to a normal for him level. Still too hot for anyone besides Connor to touch, but no longer was he so hot as to incinerate anything that so much as brushed him.
"Are they going to let me back into town?" V finally asked, his voice small and defeated.
"Probably. I talked to Lord Archibald before I came to find you and told him what actually happened. "
"That I let Devon get under my skin and burnt down a stable because of it?"
"No, that Devon and his lackeys were throwing stones and goading you while you were doing the cleaning."
"That's not true-"
"It is now. Archibald trusts my word over theirs and wants you in town for as long as possible. No need to look a gift horse in the mouth."
"Most gift horses don't want to make you into a weapon."
"So? He's human, in the worst case scenario I can stab him to death for you," Connor grinned when that got a shakey laugh from V.

Tamlin revenge fic part 4
At this point @achaotichuman is just enjoying it but whatever... TWs: abuse, suicide, angst angst angst angst There was still a phantom feeling there. As if he could reach up and his antlers would in his hands. Amarantha's reappearance in Prythian had restored the phantom pain that Tamlin had thought was gone for so long. The boy in him trembled to face Amarantha again, but the High Lord longed to tear her to shreds. She'd come to broker peace between Hybern and Prythian, they said. Tamlin highly doubted it. He didn't trust a word that came out of that psychopath's mouth. He'd told Lucien his whole history with her, and Lucien sure as hell didn't trust him either. But he'd laid a strong, broad hand on his arm and whispered so softly, Tamlin could almost imagine Lucien was telling him sweet nothings rather than saying, "I will go to her as your emissary to see what she wants. You don't have to look that witch in the eye again, I promise." Lucien brushed his lips against Tamlin's cheek, and Tamlin was certain there were literal hearts growing in his eyes as Lucien pulled away. "You'd do that for me?" Tamlin knew he should be stronger, should demand to go himself, but...Lucien was offering to do this for him. Nobody had ever offered such a thing in his life. Tamlin knew in that moment that no matter what transpired between them, he would never stop loving Lucien Vanserra. Ever. He was destined to pine after him for eternity. "Of course I will, Tamlin. We're best friends, after all." Friends. Right. Tamlin almost forgot. He'd have thought that kiss was romantic, but Lucien was affectionate with almost everyone and loved physical contact. But Tamlin liked to pretend that Lucien belonged to him and him alone. It made him feel strong, like a real High Lord. "Thank you so much, Lucien," he whispered. Lucien smiled: not the sexy smirk, but the fabulous smile that lit his whole face up and made Tamlin want to swear his fealty and all of his unborn children to him. He was born of Autumn, and his fire was destined to burn him. But Tamlin had always wanted to be burned. He'd walked beside the fires his whole life. It couldn't be worse than his father whipping him or Amarantha ripping out his antlers. He should've known his joy would be short-lived. As it was. Tamlin thought he knew pain. He'd experienced it every single fucking day of his life. Most things a typical Fae couldn't even fathom in their dizziest daydreams. But when Lucien walked in, so filthy and bloody that Tamlin could not recognize him, Tamlin vomited. He had not vomited since he'd been forced to watch his father beat Rhys. But this was worse. So much worse. The world must have ended, for no world could exist in which Lucien was in pain. His Lucien. His love. His savior. His lord. His life. He rushed to him. He lifted Lucien in his arms like a cursed bride. His primary power was shapeshifting, but he was a High Lord. He poured every ounce of his power into Lucien. He didn't fucking care if the effort killed him. All that mattered was that Lucien lived. He barely registered when the Spring Court healers joined his effort to revive the protagonist of his life. Tamlin stayed there, staring at his lifeless body, begging him to come back to life. "If a High Lord's command means anything," he snarled, "I command you to live. I won't let you fucking die. You are stuck with me for eternity. You're not the Mother's to take. You are mine. MINE!" He roared to the heavens who dared to try to take his Lucien away from him.

She | I. NY
⚠slight angst⚠
Everything was perfect for the both of you, stable jobs, successful relationship, living the life to the fullest. But one thing was bothering Nayeon, why haven't you two talked about kids yet?
"I'm busy with work, Nayeon.. Can we discuss this later?"
"That's what you gotta say? After 3 years since we got married, all you do is work!" Your wife complains, you removed your glasses and just breathe out a sigh. You admit, you were kinda jealous of your friends having kids, you guessed starting a family isn't wrong.. Plus you're growing old, but you were scared. Never in your lives you came across sex or anything, you were insecure about your unexplainable condition, scared to lose your wife in the process.
"Come here, I have to say something.."
Nayeon hesitatingly sat on your lap, your breath shaking as you look up at her then onto your intertwined hands
"I'm sorry for being so distant, I've been trying to find myself.. Learning on things I haven't known before, and until now I am but I realize I'm losing you because of my selfishness. If you're wondering why we didn't do much on our honeymoon, I contacted my personal doctor about my condition. Asking if I had the chance or possibility to impregnate you, which he said yes.. So after that I try to learn about how my thing works then eventually, we could d-do those things with no problem.. I'm sorry for keeping it a secret, Nabongs"
"Why didn't you tell me, I could've understood you nonetheless.. And no, I'm not mad for keeping it a secret, I'm proud that you told me sooner.. I was worried that you d-didn't love me anymore and I dunno how to keep our relationship stable, I'm sorry for being so mad, I should've asked first.." She kisses you, tears falling from her eyes yet you were there to wipe them away. You hug her close, the familiar warmth enveloping you, the feel of home which is Im Nayeon.
"You know, I actually knew about your condition.. Especially mornings, even if you were distant, I just knew"
"O-Oh, that must've been too embarrassing for you to see, I'm sorry" She laughs, kissing your cheek and leaned her head on your shoulder. The silence is comfortable, your gentle breathing on her bare shoulder and her soft hummings were enough for each other's presence
"I've been thinking about your request before, let's do it"
"R-Really?" You nod, you turn her around to face you, you pulled up for another kiss but with more tension and passion. You carry her in your arms as you stood, kicking open the doors of your home-office and stepped into your bedroom. She pushes you down, her short brown hair falling into her face, she slicks back and her lustful gaze made you feel things
"You're so beautiful, my wife.."
She blushes, she sits up, hands traveling along your neck and chest, she took off your shirt revealing your sports bra, loving how the brand Calvin Klein suited your whole persona. Of course, you were also an ambassador for the clothing brand. Too hot for her to handle, she had a stash of your magazines in her cabinet at work, having her imagination the best of her and had her moments whenever you decline
"I missed this, Y/nn.. You know how hard it was to not kiss you, you look so hot when you work and it..turns me on"
"I-I.. I didn't knew you felt that way, I wanna make it up for what we left off.." She smiles and claimed your lips, her plump pair had been one of the things you admire, especially her bunny teeth that you adore so much when she smiles. Everything about Im Nayeon is admirable, your love on her isn't easily replaced
"Well, if we're gonna do this.. I can't be the only one undressed, y'know?"
She giggles at your statement, she lifts the hem of her own top, pulling it off flawlessly, revealing her plump breasts held up in her favorite lingerie. You noticed she wasn't wearing shorts on, you'd always wake up to her bottom half exposed to your eyes which leaves you all aroused and bothered for the whole day
"Mhm, I can't believe my wife is so sexy~ What did I do to deserve you?"
"Well, everything.. You've been a great lover and wife for me, and we deserve this" She says, her tone softer than ever. Her gaze softens at the sight of you blushing profusely at the way her hand skimmed down your torso, soon stopping herself right at the waistband of your shorts where another pair of Calvin Kleins were found peeking under
"I love you so much, honey.."
"I love you more, baby" You grab her for a kiss, the lust has slowly taken over you. You found yourself feeling up her back, your nails lightly scratched her smooth skin, until they circled around the front and Nayeon hitches as she felt your cold fingertips under her chest, she airily moans at her breasts being fondled about. You always wondered how soft they were, but not holding them made it seem that it's like pillows. And the size were perfect for your hands, Nayeon is indeed for you and you only
"Ahhh~ Just like that, baby.. Kiss them, please"
You were confused, but you obliged. You reached back to unclasp her bra, letting the garment fall from her shoulders revealing soft, pink nipples begging for attention. Leaning forward, you left gentle kisses at first, but then you started sucking on her skin and eventually on her perked nipples that stiffened as you finished suckling them like a baby
"M-My turn"
She gasps, raising your sports bra and gave the same energy of how you did her well. You could feel slight throbbing down your nether regions, only to guess that the two of you are now turned on, too turned on you felt your little buddy poke from your shorts letting your wife know how aroused and needy you were for her
"O-Oh my, you're so hard.."
You couldn't help but whimper, giving subtle movements to earn friction down your shaft yet she scoots back and reached onto your shorts, fingers hooked she looked back at you for affirmation
"Hon, we can stop if you're uncomfortable, I don't want to take advantage of you.."
"N-No, it's fine.. We both need this, we can handle what happens next, I'm sure enough" You smiled, she kisses your lips to assure you everything before she decides to pull your clothing down until your rigid length springs up, revealing its full length. She gasps, feeling proud for the first time she had made you arouse, and for the first time she had seen you in its glory
"You're so perfect, Hon.. T-Too perfect"
You just smiled, feeling shy of the words she said but you appreciate everything. It grew the love filled inside, and you can't help but just fall for her harder
"H-How should we do this, I haven't have any experience on this"
"No need to worry, I did some research myself" Nayeon winks as she slowly got out of her panties, she hovers above your manhood and soon enough you were feeling nothing but yourselves, filling the lost pieces of yourselves and gosh you felt heaven from how warm and tight your wife is, she rolls her hips back and forth which cuts your daydream
She rode you in slow, languid movements. Her palms planted beside your head, she gasps and pants at every motion and how the tip of your length poked her g-spot, leaving her breathless and wanting more
As for you, you had been releasing nothing but moans which you didn't expect to do. Your hands held her close letting her press down onto your awaiting member, you lean up to kiss her lips for the nth time, your whines escaping your parted lips, tongues fighting for dominance and you could feel it. Nayeon has gotten tighter and it's choking your shaft, and you felt the tingling sensation down your stomach. You flipped over and gyrated your hips, your cock slipping in and out in a quick pace to catch your orgasm. You didn't expect what happened next, both your orgasms crashed against each other and your bodies convulsed as it took a while for your releases to be done
"N-Nayeonie.."
"Oh my, are you okay?? Aigoo, I'm sorry-" You lift up a smile within your weak whimpers, she pulls you close to her chest, both of you taking deep breaths as you finally calmed down. Nayeon smiles as she felt familiar hands brushing up her back, she brushes your hair and kissed your crown
"You're so adorable y'know?"
"Yeah, yeah.. Thanks for this, although I had been tempting to.. Do another one" Nayeon smirks at your words, pushing you down then well.. You know what.
The end.

what are some dynamic differences between jordayla and other ships on the show you’ve noticed?
Interesting question, Anon!
I personally think Jordayla's communication is unmatched. And part of that comes from this shorthand they already had that only comes from growing up with someone.
Because they did grow up together. They knew each other since they were little kids, and they were always in each other's orbit. When we meet them in the pilot, they've grown apart, but they're still keeping tabs on each other. And then they come back together their senior year and beyond. And see each other into adulthood. So all of that on its own lends to a pretty strong bond. And it's why Jordan was able to help Layla out of her tunnel-visioned invulnerability and why Layla was able to be exactly what Jordan needed as he grieved his father.
Spelivia definitely shares the shorthand aspect. They also started off as best friends. But they have other big obstacles to get through before they can thrive together. I think there's much more emphasis placed on "wanting what you can't have" with them. So their actions and scenes together are going to be more volatile because they're so passionate about the idea of losing each other that they end up pushing each other away.
Jordayla also encourage each other to be better individuals. You can see that this season. Jordan is so much more mature and patient, and Layla is much more relaxed and vulnerable. And they put in that legwork before they were even a couple. They each grew in a way that led them straight towards each other.
Asher goes on a similar growth trajectory, and a majority of that is Jaymee's influence, which is cool. But a lot of that is offscreen, and I can't say that I see that in Jaymee, since we're still learning about her. Honestly, this latest episode showed me that she's very guarded when it comes her to her personal health, and that's super understandable. So she's just now learning how to let someone in and support her as she continues to make very personal choices involving her illness.
Jordayla values each other's career goals and dreams while not forsaking their own. Layla is obviously super career-focussed to an unhealthy extent at times. But she's learning how to prioritize what's most important to her, and she will eventually find that balance naturally. And with Layla's encouragement, Jordan's finally stepping into this leader role that he's always felt was just out of his reach.
Coop and Patience did share the solid ride or die team aspect in the earlier seasons, but that has since fizzled out. With Coop and whoever she's with, things are always going to revolve around Coop and her dreams. Until Patience feels like Coop sees her as a true partner and not her hype woman, they're going to continue to be exes. And until Patience places real, true importance in her dreams and learns to value her own wants and needs, she's not going to be ready for Coop anyway.
And it goes without saying that Jordan and Layla are currently in the healthiest partnership they've ever had. Spencer and Layla could not communicate with each other, did not understand each other at a fundamental level, and then were each shouldering so much in other aspects of their personal lives. Jordan and Simone barely knew each other. And while they both desperately wanted things to work out, they ignored their underlying issues and clung to the idea of being a team without actually being one.
I'm sure we'll see Jordayla's relationship tested more. They might even break up at some point. But it's pretty clear to me that they belong together and will find their way back to each other if that happens. And from what we've been given in story so far, they are a very, very solid couple.

Adjusting the glasses that framed his face, the dirty blonde male carefully wiped the kitchen counter, making sure it was perfectly sanitized and free from any form of dust. Not forgetting to swipe the lint roller across the surface, he was so focused on his task that he slightly jumped when he heard the door open, then realized it was just his significant other coming back from her shift. Glancing over at the clock, he found it unusual for her to be coming back at this hour as it was rather late and her shift should have ended hours ago.
Grabbing the Lysol can, he went over to the front door where she was in the process of taking off her shoes and coat, dropping them onto the floor which particularly annoyed him. Standing next to her, he began to pick up her things and place them either on the rack specifically for their shoes or hanging them inside the closet.
"Seonghwa! What the fuck!?" His lover protested and swatted her hands at him when he proceeds to spray her with his aerosal disinfectant.
"We're still in the middle of a pandemic Y/N and I'm not taking chances." He justified himself.
Furiously ripping the mask off her face, she yanked the can off his fingers and threw it on the floor.
"Look! Just this once can you not pester me with your OCD habits?! I'm not in a good mood and I just want to be left alone!"
He stepped aside when she pushed past him and headed straight into her room, shutting the door rather harshly. He didn't budge an eye at her behaviour, he knew how stressing her job was, especially with a boss like hers. Sighing softly, he picked up the Lysol can and sprayed her shoes and coat before going back into the kitchen. He re-began his usual task of running his trusty lint roller all over the already clean and sanitized surfaces. When most of the paper came back with barely any brown spots his face lit up.
Picking up his little catty that held his cleaning supplies, he moved into the living room where he stopped in his tracks when he saw his girlfriend laying on the couch, wearing nothing but a white tank top and a pair of white cotton panties. He rolled his eyes and pondered how he was supposed to clean in the living room without waking her up. He didn't have the heart to place her back in her room since one, she was worn out and two, her room's air conditioning was still broken and it was a particularly hot day.
He opted to just clean around her as quietly as possible, not moving any furniture around so it wouldn't disturb her slumber. After finishing wiping off some of the dirt and grime, he grabbed a clean rag and began using furniture polish to make the wood shine more than it already was. He felt really proud when he could actually see his own reflection on it.
He started to pick up the various pictures they kept on the coffee table to wipe them off when he heard Y/N stir in her sleep behind him. He didn't really pay attention, much too focused on his task at hand and used to his girlfriend's sleeping antics. All was still for a few minutes, until she once again shifted in her sleep, only this time she released a sound that definitely startled him, making him drop the frame onto the coffee table. He semi kept it from making too much noise, cringing as he heard Y/N move even more, afraid he might have woken her up.
"Hwa...."
He whipped his head around, body turning with it as he questioned whether he was hearing things right or not. Scooting closer to her, Seonghwa looked down and noticed tiny sweat beads on her hairline, eyes scrunched together in frustration, nails scratching at the leather cushion she had her head rested on, hips slightly grinding against the couch underneath her. And to top it all off, she began emitting muffled moans, he was sure of it, knowing fully well what they sounded like.
Standing up, Seonghwa moved to sit behind her. Feeling the weight shift underneath her, Y/N unconsciously let one of her legs dangle off the couch, giving Seonghwa a perfect glimpse at the wet stain that was forming in her panties.
"Fuck.......you get wet dreams?"
He couldn't resist the urge to swipe his tongue across his lips as he stared at her core. Sucking in a breath, he got up and went back to his task of cleaning up, trying to think of anything to help calm down the boner that he was growing inside his sweatpants. He seemed to be doing a pretty good job at it.......
"Seonghwa...."
Dropping the rag onto the floor, Seonghwa pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Please don't do this to me. I can't..."
He let out a grunt when he saw just how big the tent in between his legs was. He took slow and deep breaths, hoping to cool himself down. He could not and would not wake up his exhausted girlfriend just because he felt the need to fuck her brains out. But as he heard her moans turn to whimpers and frustrated groans, he found his resolve weakening. He got back up and sat behind her again, watching her slow movements. He outstretched his hand and let it rest on top of her ass, his fingers eventually digging into her soft and tender skin, the wet patch in her panties becoming bigger and more soaked.
Quickly untying the drawstring, Seonghwa slipped his hand inside his pants, pumping himself slowly as he drew his hand in between her legs, one finger poking at her wet patch. He couldn't help the chuckle that escaped his lips when he felt her press back into his touch.
"Always responsive to my touch, aren't you my little bunny?"
Pushing her panties aside, he easily slipped one finger inside, wiggling it around experimentally. Seonghwa let out a proud smirk when she was still responding to his advances, her walls stretching out to accommodate the next two fingers he pushed inside her.
"So tight......so warm........"
He kept slowly pumping his fingers in and out of her, loving the way her walls clenched around his fingers. Wanting to test something out, he slipped his fingers completely out of her. Instantly, her lips pouted and she let out what sounded like a whine as her body moved further back, no doubt trying to find his hand once again. Seonghwa shook his head in a mocking manner.
"Always such a needy bunny."
Unable to resist anymore, he adjusts himself to lay down behind her and brought his face down near her back. Starting from her lower back, he began to place tiny open mouth kisses along her curves and trailed them down to her ass cheeks, where he began squishing them in his palms. Taking a hold of her panties, he slowly peeled them off her body and down her legs, effectively ridding her of the confining garment. His hands went back to her ass, lifting her up slightly. He bit his lip when he spread her folds, nearly drooling at the sight of her wet and delicious pussy.
Diving right in, he poked his tongue out, swiping it all up her slit. He felt her body shiver at the contact, but he remained undeterred. He just continued by swirling his tongue around her wet hole before sliding it in and out of her, occasionally latching his lips on her clit to give her a generous suck that had her whining. Somewhere along the way, Seonghwa became lost in her taste. Not longer paying attention to his surroundings, he just buried his face more into her heat, eating her out with a passionate and desperate hunger, unable to get enough of her. He was so distracted he didn't even notice that the girl had been woken up, her eyelids fluttering open and gasping softly as they looked at the scene taking place behind her.
"Seonghwa..."
Her hand reached out to stroke his hair, making his eyes shoot up and see her lustful gaze.
"Hey sleeping beauty." He giggled as he detached himself from her core, but not before giving her one last suck, emitting loud slurping sound.
"H-Hwa!" She called out at him, confused at what was going on as she still hadn't fully awoken yet.
Sitting up, he hovered his body on top of hers, hands cupping her jaw as he kissed her tenderly, remnants of her juices now being tossed into her mouth.
"You're so pretty, so tempting....couldn't hold myself back. You just looked so gorgeous." He justified his actions yet she was not complaining, except for one tiny thing.
"Seonghwa-" She begged him, hand reaching in between his legs to cup his boner.
Knowing what she was hinting at, he pulled away and began turning her back onto all fours.
"Don't worry bunny, I haven't forgotten that you haven't came yet."
His fingers took hold of the hem of her tank top, lifting it over her head and tossing it somewhere on the floor. His pants and underwear soon followed suit and ended discarded around the room. He guided her so she could rest her head and hands on the armrest.
"Just relax and leave it all to me babygirl."
Pressing a hand down on her back, he lined himself up and slowly began to push himself in, earning quite a few gasps and moans from both of them. He began a slow and steady pace, wanting her to feel every vein and ridge against her walls, not wanting to go harsh at all since she was still pretty tired. He opted for more sensual and deep strokes so he could hit against that spot that would have her crying out for him soon.
"You look so pretty my little bunny. You're taking me so well my little one."
She couldn't help but clench at his words, loving his pet name for her and the praises he was giving her.
"Fuck! Yes bunny- clench around me like that. God you feel amazing."
He moved his hands to cup her breasts, being gentle as he squeezed them and bounced them on his palms, fingers occasionally pinching and playing with her nipples.
Y/N released tiny pants and breaths, her ass pushing back against him whenever he pulled out of her. She loved her boyfriend's cock so much. It was long and girthy and best of all, he knew exactly how to angle his hips so he'd leave her seeing stars every time she came.
"You like that my dear? Like how my cock feels inside your little hole?"
She let out a shudder when his hand move to wrap around her waist, fingers caressing her lower stomach. He hummed softly as he ran his fingers across her tummy.
"Baby..?" She could hear his mischievous tone that was up to something.
Leaning in, he whispered in her ear.
"Let me cum inside you this time....."
She looked back at him with a puzzled look, however he was calm as he continued rolling his hips slowly against hers. He bent down to kiss her softly.
"Wanna fuck my baby in you."
She pulled away from the kiss to moan.
"S-Seonghwa-" She couldn't believe his words.
"Please my little bunny. Think about how insanely cute you'll look with a swollen belly.......carrying our little bundle of joy."
She clenched involuntarily at his words, nearly cumming right then and there. Seonghwa began thrusting a little harder against her.
"Fuck! You'll be so pretty with all the extra weight and bigger breasts- shit! Baby I'm gonna cum soon-please!"
He was erratic by now, begging her in earnest as he continued to fuck her pussy. Hearing his desperate pleas, Y/N gripped onto the armrest as she began cumming all over him.
"Seonghwa! Just- cum inside me!" She cried out.
Letting out a harsh grunt, Seonghwa began shaking as he spilled himself inside her, making sure to fill her up as much as he could, not stopping his movements until her tight walls milked him dry of all his hot cum. Y/N's face stayed hidden on the couch, face flushed and sweaty from all that just happened. She hissed slightly when she felt Seonghwa pull out of her. His finger worked quick to catch the cum leaking out a her, pushing it back inside and ensuring it wouldn't come out again. Turning her over, he brushed some of the hair away from her face, an adoring smile on his face.
"Seonghwa......what if...what if I do get pregnant?" Although it was in the spur of the moment, she wasn't completely sure if he meant it or not.
"Then I'll be the happiest man alive."
His answer shocked her, and he snores at her reaction.
"You're seriously hoping I get p-pregnant?" She raised an eyebrow and then looked down, unsure of how to feel.
Sensing her apprehension, Seonghwa pulled her up so it'd be easier to hug her.
"Listen honey, I'm serious about this. I want to start a family with you. Yes we're both young, but I think we're perfectly capable of raising a child. And don't worry..."
He kissed her forehead before whispering.
"I'll take care of you."
Y/N softened up at his words, unable to suppress the shy smile that was beginning to form on her lips.
"Well....I always did want a little girl.." She admitted.
Seonghwa beamed enthusiastically.
"So if I did get you pregnant-"
"Hold on Hwa, you're getting ahead of yourself. You forgot I'm on the pill so chances are that I'm not pregnant." She giggled.
Letting out a huff, Seonghwa picked his girlfriend up and started heading towards the bedroom.
"Ok from now on, stop taking the birth control and right now relax..."
She let out a squeak when he dropped her onto his bed and crawled on top of her, his eyes full of determination accompanied by a sly smirk on his lips.
"Cause we're trying this again..."

MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Days passed in idle anticipation. You kept Elina locked up with you and she grew more restless by the hour. When Lord Zemo came at night, she was happier but your sense of dread and impatience only grew. When the retinue arrived, you only wanted them to leave, but knowing who was roaming just floors below, you were anxious to strike first.
The baron was ever the voice of sense. Zemo was no beacon of morality, you knew that, but his honesty made him respectable. You considered how blatant he was in his intentions as compared to those other noblemen who painted their bad deeds as gifts. Perhaps he wasn’t entirely trustworthy but he didn’t trying to make you think otherwise.
You did your best to keep your daughter occupied with her many toys and quiet songs hummed out of tune. You bounced her on your hip as best you could with your cane in your other hand and crawled around with her like a dog. She was only calm when she slept as she longed for the sunlight that taunted her through the window.
You began to wonder how long the men would stay; how long you would be expected to stay hidden. Zemo mentioned vengeance and you dreamt of it every night. It was the only thing that kept you from quaking in fear and panic.
Tess brought your dinner and you placed it on the low table and sat on the floor with Elina and ate. You gave her tiny morsels to chew on or toss back at you. She was an energetic kid, stubborn and strong, and seemed to find fun in even the most dull tasks. You hoped she would grow up to be happier than you. Surely, she’d be more bold and more blessed.
As you chewed on some chicken, you heard that familiar knock on the door. Tess always gave a tiny tap and called through the wood but Zemo always gave that rhythmic beating. It was the latter, he was early that day. It made you worry as you left Elina to squeeze a piece of sweet potato and stood with your can dug into the wood.
You crossed to the door and turned the latch slowly. You opened the door and leaned heavily on the wooden stick, “well, you are earl--” your voice hung in the air as you stared at the familiar face, though it wasn’t Zemo.
You pushed the door but the man caught it and kept it two inches from the frame as he came closer. Peter’s hand trembled as he clung to the wood and gaped at you. He shook his head and blinked dumbly. The two years had given his face character and his shoulders a little more width.
“You’re alive?” he breathed.
“You can’t-- you have to go,” you pushed the door with a grunt, “please, go.”
“I thought… I thought you were dead,” he croaked, “I thought I--”
“Go away. Please!” you begged, “I can’t talk to you.”
“Or you won’t talk to me?” he challenged as he shoved his foot between the door and the frame, “how--”
“How did you find me?” you gasped.
He lowered his eyes and guiltily and clamped his lips shut. He sniffed and looked at you again, “I thought Zemo was hiding something from us. I followed him last night and listened… I couldn’t hear anything, I only saw him come here and knock.”
“No one else can know,” you said, “you can’t-- please go and don’t tell anyone.”
“I wouldn’t but-- I want to talk to you,” he insisted.
“You can’t. It’s too dangerous,” you argued, “you must go. If Zemo discovers you--”
“I don’t care if he does. Don’t you understand, I--I-- I thought I killed you.”
You were silent as you stared into his face. You saw the pain in his eyes, the shock laced with relief. But it was all tinted with the guilt he’d carried since that day. The false guilt you’d given him.
“I’m sorry, Peter, it was the only way out--”
“My aunt cried everyday for you and she never let me forget what you said to me. I never could forget,” he hissed.
“I know, but you have to--” Elina made a noise as she came over and clung to your leg, smearing food down your skirt. Peter looked at her and his lips parted in surprise, “no one can know about her.”
He nodded and gulped. He looked up and down the corridor. “I wouldn’t tell but I can’t go until we talk, I…” his voice cracked, “I need to tell you I was wrong. I lied.”
“El,” you bent to wipe her face and lifted her, “please, stay here,” you bid Peter as you turned and hobbled across the room.
You placed her in her cot, thought she only began to fuss, but you shoved a stuffed caribou into her hands and left her to poke its eyes. You went back to the door and found Peter staring at your cane.
“I’m sorry,” he said again, “that’s my fault,” he nodded to the cane, “and that,” he looked to the scar down your face, “I saw it. I tried to follow you that day but I wasn’t fast enough and you were--”
“No, it wasn’t you. I said it was because I could. I couldn’t tell the man who made me do this so I told you instead. That was unfair and unkind,” you blinked away tears, “and I hurt more than just myself.”
He mulled your words and picked at his sleeve. He dressed finer than the last you’d met, “I didn’t mean what I said to Barnes. You were sweet to me and my aunt told me what you were, he told me you were worse, but I didn’t truly care. I only knew he was hurting you and I was making that worse so I thought if I stayed away, he’d stop.”
“No one can stop him. No one. Those men, they cannot be stopped. They are evil in the flesh, they are borne to greed and cruelty. They only see what they can get, not what they can give because they won’t ever be denied--”
You heard a clamor, the pounding of footsteps from the stairway, and the frantic breathing of whoever was approaching. You opened the door further and pulled Peter inside. You shut the door and leaned against it with him as you listened and watched through the crack.
“Away, away,” you heard Melinda’s airy pleas as she swept past your door, “please, sir, away!”
“I just want to play a little game,” the deep voice made your blood curdle then the realisation of what he was doing made it boil even hotter. You gripped your cane as Peter frowned at you, “come here, pet, I don’t bite.”
Melinda squeaked as Lord Rogers’ footsteps slowed and you heard the struggle that followed. The muffled collision of her body against the wall, the small girl’s broken breath as it was knocked from her, and his lewd growl as he pounced.
You pushed Peter away from you and tore open the door. They were closer than you thought. Just against the wall opposite your room. Lord Rogers’ body shielded the girl’s body almost entirely. You raised your cane without a second thought and brought it down on his shoulders.
As he exclaimed and staggered, you hit him again, the time in the back of the head. You swooped your cane down and banged his knees so that he fell onto the stone. You hit him again in the side as he wheezed and you stood over him.
“Bastard! Bastard!” you hit him as the young maid and the other lord watched in shock, “how dare you? You beast!”
Peter grabbed your arm and stopped you as Rogers rolled onto his back and coughed. He groaned as he reached to his head and you were pulled away from him. You struggled with Peter as you wanted badly to hit him again.
“Melinda,” you said as you struggled, “go fetch the baron. Now!”
She skittered off like a mouse, careful to tiptoe around Rogers as he sat up and gripped his right shoulder where you’d hit him. He chuckled as he looked up at you. He grinned beneath the trickle of blood on his lips.
“Oh, well, what a treat this is,” he mocked, “the whore lives.”
“You’re vile,” you snarled, “I should bash you like the snake you are.”
“Parker,” he spoke to the man at your side, “hold her for me.” He grunted as he pushed himself up and stumbled a little on his feet, “let us remind her of who she is… oh, Barnes might come out of his rooms for this.”
He reached to his belt but Peter let you go. You looked over at him and he crossed his arms and shrugged. You gripped your cane tight and swung it again. The strike caught Lord Rogers across his chin and the next in the tender flesh of his side. You jabbed his chest so he was again on his back but he could barely get his arms up to keep away the storm of blows.
When he was limp and prone before you, you slowly lowered the cane. You quivered as you stared down at what you’d done. His breaths came in rattles. You leaned on your right leg as your left shook and you lifted the carefully carved stick.
You pulled the silver topper until it dislodged and revealed the long silver blade. Peter caught your wrist as you raised the dagger.
“Don’t, it’ll change you. It’ll make you as bad as him,” he whispered.
You looked at him and your hand shook. Hot tears streamed down your cheeks and you heard Elina murmuring, louder and louder as she wondered where you were. You sheathed the knife and plunked your cane down on the stone.
Footsteps drew you back to the end of the corridor as Zemo appeared from the stairwell. His face dropped as he saw you standing over Rogers. He took a breath but did not look angry.
“Well, I did hope to delay this a little longer,” he said as he approached, “but that Rogers was ever the petulant pest.”
“I’m sorry, he--”
“Oh, I can guess at it,” he nodded to Melinda as she followed meekly behind him, “I’d have done it myself if I had the displeasure of witnessing his lechery.” He came up to Peter and stopped, “but I will do what I must.”
“He won’t hurt us,” you said, “Peter… isn’t like them.”
“But he is loyal to his kingdom,” he pointed at Peter’s chest harshly.
“I am a viscount. Not a duke or earl even. I serve men like that on the floor because I have to, not because I want to,” Peter countered, “I have no lealty to the men who leave women like this.” He looked at you and bowed his head, “but I will admit I am not innocent of it.”
Zemo looked at you and stilled your hand as it was still shaking. "Do you vouch for him, lady?"
"He is a good man. If anything, I have drawn him unjustly into this mess," you said, "I knew you wanted to wait longer--"
"No use in apologies," Zemo grasped your shoulder and squeezed, "this stalemate would not have lasted forever. I am not entirely unprepared."
Elina began to bawl and Zemo brushed past you. He returned with her in his arms, rocking her until she quieted. He cradled her cheek with a mournful gaze and his lips curved for just a moment.
"Be quick, we must leave before the moon. We will move the lord out of the corridor and be away before they can discover him," he said, "by the morning, the castle should be empty but for our foreign visitors and it will take them some time to return to their home with news of such catastrophe."
"Is he dead?" you asked as you looked at Rogers' boots.
"An ox like him? Not yet, just annoyingly on the precipice," Zemo replied, "if we're fortunate, he'll have some lingering detriment but we cannot kill him. That would be an unforgivable mistake."
You heard a grumble and a croaky chuckle. Zemo turned and you looked down on the dazed duke.
"That is a beautiful girl," Lord Rogers rasped, "looks like her father."
Zemo's pupils turned to pinpoints and he handed you Elina. He bent and knocked Rogers across the cheek so that his head bounced off the stone. The baron shook out his hand as he stood straight and his nostrils flared.
"Lord Parker, was it?" He looked to Peter, "help me move him. We haven't time to spare."

𝐁𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑
𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 | Because Grisha Jaeger had placed a lot of expectations on all his children, but especially on (Y/N).
𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭: 1790;
𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐫: Mentions of canon-typical violence. Inspired by the song “Brother“ by Kodaline; and, yes, that is part of a story that I will never publish.
𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫'𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐞: Hello! This is the second time I have ventured into writing a story in English. I hope, with all my heart, that I am managing to evolve and that the text is understandable. If you spot a misspelled word or anything else, feel free to let me know.

────── ▎She had no other pleasure that morning than to walk barefoot on the grass, still damp from the light drizzle that had occurred the night before.
She was lightly shaking a small basket, which she had made herself the year before from the thinnest branches of a cherry tree, while she sang a quiet melody among the bushes and trees that began to surround her. It was a very hot and humid afternoon. On the way to the apple tree, the light was so intense that she shielded her eyes.
The aroma of ripe apples began to gather strength around her. With her fingertips, she gently caressed the fruits she loved. They were ready to be picked, and she smiled, satisfied.
A slight rustling from the right side caught the attention of Grisha Jaeger's eldest daughter, startling her, causing her eyes to quickly search for the source of such.
It was Mikasa.
Her gray dress was a shade darker than her eyes and her black hair shone in the sunlight, her hands closed around her red scarf. She knew it was Mikasa's habit to do this to make sure it was always hanging around her neck. Somehow, it seemed to calm her.
''Hey,'' (Y/N) greeted the younger girl. ''Is everything okay?''
At the present moment, she barely spoke to her adopted sister, although everyone seemed charmed by her. Mikasa was an incredibly intelligent and strong child, no doubt she had managed to escape a terrible situation, the mere mention of which made (Y/N)'s stomach clench and her heart soar in her chest. The most remembered mark on the girl's personality, however, was her incredible sense of loyalty to Eren. Of this, anyone who had spent at least two days with her could tell.
And, yes, it was true that the two did not know each other very well, but in light of the short time they had been together, she had found out enough to know that Mikasa was real and part of the family.
''Yes,'' Mikasa answered, shyly, after a minute of silence. ''May I... accompany you?
''Oh, I don't see why not,'' the older woman smiled tenderly.
The two sisters raised their eyes to the apple trees and began picking them by the bunches. The sun was high enough to illuminate the whole place, although its light was in the treetops. A very beautiful and welcoming place. Beside her, Mikasa seemed to think the same, with a small smile on her face and barely blinking her little eyes, wanting to memorize every detail. Even under the intense heat, fatigue didn't seem to discourage either of them.
''Amazing, isn't it?'', (Y/N) inquired to the younger girl, who blinked twice before turning to her. ''Here, hold this.''
Mikasa nodded and held up the small basket.
As (Y/N) tried to balance on the higher branches, Mikasa brought one of the red fruits to her lips, tasting the acidic freshness in her mouth, and her eyes narrowed at the slight acidity that characterized them, while her ears didn't seem to want to part with (Y/N)'s frustrated gasps.
''Oh, no, no!''
Mikasa's eyes widened as (Y/N) falls to the ground. While the girl still had her mouth open in surprise, her sister began to laugh. She remained on the floor, not caring about the wetness, but she didn't let the shadow of a smile escape Mikasa's face.
''Oh, so you think that's funny?'' she asked, and she wiped a single tear from her eyes, shaking her head negatively at her own shame.
With her tiptoe, she pushed the younger woman's heel hard enough to make her fall beside her.
A second lost, and then another.
Finally, letting go of her surprise, she let out a laugh, still holding the basket. It was a happy afternoon, the happiest in a long time for the two sisters, and before they knew it, the sun was beginning to set.
It was a happy afternoon, the happiest in a long time for the two sisters, and before they knew it, the sun was starting to set.
''We'd better go, little one. Mother will be furious with us if we're late for dinner,'' she said, smoothing her dress over her body. ''Let me fix this.''
Mikasa raised one of her eyebrows.
She ran her fingers over the scarf, smoothing it over her body, then lightly pinched the younger girl's nose, just like her mother used to do once upon a time.

The fall of Wall Maria marked the end of an entire era. It was a tragedy; an atrocity. On the day that so many people were torn from their homes and their lives, a permanent shadow shrouded the hearts of Grisha Jaeger's children.
There were no songs in that land that could tell the pain of (Y/N). There were no songs that could tell of Eren's anger. There was no song for the darkness that was submerged in the hearts of the Jaeger's brothers.
Eren and Mikasa were just two children when tragedy struck, and Grisha Yeager's eldest daughter, whose light once lit up the old house in Shiganshina, suddenly becomes an adult plagued by responsibilities too great.
Long weeks after the tragedy, (Y/N) was always trying to protect those kids. To keep them safe. Grisha and Carla never had to tell her that, but (Y/N) always felt like that was her responsibility. She just wanted Mikasa and Eren to be children. Just for a little while longer.
But then there they all were, watching in terror as a crowd was dragged in to reclaim the lost lands. There was no excited shouting or cheering. There was only an annoyed and doubtful murmur from the rest, because everyone seemed to know that it was just a way for the government to get rid of mouths to feed. Men and women, young and old; people with those who had lived for many years, pale and with eyes glistening with tears.
That day, Armin lost his only family.
That day, (Y/N) hugged the three boys and pulled them close, and begged - to whatever divine creature there was - that they would get through it.
Little Armin made no effort to stop the hot tears that wet his (Y/N) clothes when the gates were closed. The hat in his hands, once so light, suddenly seemed to become too heavy, too big. His knees trembled and he fell to the ground.
I am tired of losing friends.
Mikasa tries to swallow the lump forming in her throat. Her gaze was not childish, but knowing, sad, frustrated - no child should have that look. Eren, whose eyes were fixed on his friend's back, felt as if the air was caught in his throat, as if he was suffocating himself.
(Y/N) crouched down at Armin's height. When he raised his face, (Y/N) saw hers eyes mirrored in his blue eyes. She stroked the younger man's face without saying anything, just trying to calm him down.
"I am with you, Armin," she whispered. "I am with you."

''We did it!
The graduation of the 104th Recruit Squadron was a highly anticipated date for Eren, (Y/N), Mikasa and Armin. The date had arrived together with cold and humid weather, with light rains and the presence of little lightning and thunderbolts, but whose noise echoed throughout the place.
Everyone felt something different; Eren was struck with such great courage that he felt as if he could face anything from that moment on. Armin was overcome with a sense of a job well done, mystery, and curiosity about all the things that might be on the other side of the walls. Mikasa felt as if she was doing exactly what she was born to do, and although she didn't show it in words, she was pleased with the prominent position she received among all the other recruits.
After the formal introductions and dinner, the Jaeger's brothers gathered outside on the steps and the moonlight illuminated the entire clearing. There, where they stood, hardly any trees grew. It was cold, but not cold enough to make them sick, only to make them shiver.
For a long time, the two brothers remained sitting on the stairs. Neither of them started a conversation, but they were satisfied that way. After all they had done to survive, they couldn't help but wonder what they would become. Their whole lives had turned upside down after the fall of Wall Maria. They were survivors. They were soldiers.
Whatever they would become, (Y/N) just wanted to be there for Eren. For all of them.
Finally, the older woman put her right arm around Eren's shoulders. Although he was startled by her unexpected attitude, Eren relaxed his muscles and leaned over her. And in the end, that small gesture had been enough.
''I'm proud of us, man. I'm proud of what we've done,'' she said.
Eren nodded.
He listened attentively to her and understood everything she was saying. They had traveled a cruel road, where friends and family were left behind. They had suffered, but they would not give up easily.
Because we are the Jaeger. We don't run.
They fought to survive. They fought to complete their training. They fought to get what they wanted: to join the human cause. This caused many scars.
Eren was just a child like many others, but he had been forced to grow up. (Y/N) was an adult. She could have gone away. There were all the opportunities and all the desires to take what had been promised to her since her late teens - from suitors to the opportunity for study. She could have lived elsewhere and had a family with them, become an ordinary woman. Eren knew that. It would be stupid for her to reject that, foolish for her to keep running.
But she was his sister, and one brother doesn't let the other wander off alone.
Suddenly, Eren remembers. The younger man remembers when they were little, and she would tell a stupid joke to distract him while she put on a bandage after getting into a fight with the bullies who harassed Armin. He remembers how she would take over some of his work in the settlement, or how she would divide the food among the three youngest.
"Thank you for not giving up on me, sis."
That's her nature, he thinks.
And his nature to protect her now. There is nothing in the world he wouldn't do for her.
Eren hugs his sister tighter.
At that moment, what mattered wasn't the graduation. It was that the two siblings were together that night, in that place, looking out into the rainy night and thinking how proud their parents would be.

"baby i drink to forget - not to remember"

.
.
.
What started out as one bottles suddenly turned into ten.
Your group of friends sat in a circle on the floor, passing soju bottles around like greetings at the thought of another long year of friendship that came and went. It was already past midnight, but the crickets were silenced by the boom of spontaneous laughter and conversation.
Hyunjin always sat beside you. You never knew why - in all the years of friendship you had, he always chose the seat next to yours. He'd smile and laugh with you, but he never got any closer than the two inches of the space between seats. It's been years, but you never thought to ask.
Tonight was game night. Felix bought some card game and thought it was a good idea to play this over drinks. You had to admit this was more fun than watching everyone play games or going out to a club.
"It's called We're Not Really Strangers -" Felix opened the box.
You groaned, recognizing the name. "Felix, that's like an emotional game; why'd you pick that?" You hiccupped in between shots.
He shrugged, "I dunno. It seemed like a fun thing to do. I can't remember the last time we had a deep talk other than that one wedding we went to when Changbin started crying into his cake after one too many shots."
Had Changbin not finished a bottle of two by himself, he might have been awake for that jab.
Hyunjin puffed out his cheeks, taking the deck from Felix and shuffling it in between taking another shot. "Five years of friendship, and you still want to know more about us, huh?"
Felix smiled in between exchanging glances with your friend beside him. He'd had a crush on her for ages. A small game like this should've said enough.
In one word, describe how you feel right now.
When was the last time you surprised yourself?
Strangers would describe me as _____. Only I know myself as ______.
The game went on until eventually you and Hyunjin were the only ones awake. Felix left with his crush for a midnight ice cream run. Changbin had to be carried home. It was just the two of you. He pulled the next card.
"Are you missing anyone right now? Do you think they're missing you?" Hyunjin read aloud to you. "Well?"
"Well, what?" You sneered.
"Are you missing anyone?" He smirked.
"No."
"Not even one person?"
"No."
"Why not?"
You shrugged. "Everyone I really like is here in this room. What's to miss?"
Hyunjin almost looked satisfied. Skipping your turn, he picked up another card. "Wild card - make an assumption about me. Says we both have to answer."
You turned to face your friend.
As if he wasn't expecting you to get so close, he nearly leaned away. You could smell the faint scent of alcohol on his lips. Or maybe it was yours? After the last bottle, you couldn't really tell anymore.
Hyunjin was always such a curious character. Back when you were in high school, he was always so sweet. He'd offer to walk with you to school or share his lunch if you tried to diet. You almost swore he liked you at some point, but it just never happened. He stayed a dear friend, one you'd see every month or so for drinks.
When Hyunjin was drunk, he'd lean on you. This was the only time he ever did, and part of you wished he wouldn't drink when you were together because in his drunken splendor, he'd talk - and you never forgot what he'd say.
"Be my girlfriend."
And every time you'd respond -
"Ask me when you're sober."
He never did. He never really really remembered. The next days were always full off groans and complaints of hangovers, yours included. Even though he'd ask you what happened, you knew those were just drunk words. If he didn't remember in the morning, it couldn't have been real.
It would be a complete lie to assume you never developed anything deeper than friendship-like love for Hyunjin. It was hard not to. But every time you tried to get close, it was like he wanted to pull away. After all these years, it didn't make sense anymore.
Drunk words are - after all - drunk.
"You go first." You closed your eyes, finally feeling one or two drops of soju hitting your spine. It had been too long since you drank this much. It was a miracle you weren't passed out like the others.
Hyunjin laughed once then nothing. He just stared, like he was looking for the words.
"I don't know what to say."
"Oh, come on - " You pushed his shoulder, your head rolling forward. "There has to be something you think you know about me. Anything. Something."
You were close to laying back down on the floor when you suddenly felt Hyunjin's hand on your back, keeping you upright.
You grimaced. "This really is the only time, huh."
He looked at you with concern. "I'm sorry?"
You leaned in closer to him, poking his cheek with your finger. "You always hug the guys. You never hug me! You don't lean on me unless you're drunk - you never get close to me." You giggled, turning your five year long question into sarcastic banter. "How come you never want to touch me, huh?"
"It's not like that." He smiled, poking your pouted lip. "Don't look at me like that."
"Like what." You pouted harder. "You never get close to me when you're sober, you never lay a hand on me. You only ask me to be your girlfriend when you're drunk. Why can't you be like that all the time?"
Hyunjin's smile slowly dropped. He looked at you seriously.
"Why, you want to be my girlfriend?"
You stifled a laugh. This was no time to be serious. For once, it looked like you were more drunk than him, and this wasn't the time to get caught up in feelings you always tried to forget. "Shut up. You don't mean it."
"You think I don't want you to my girlfriend?"
You turned your head only for your cheek to meet Hyunin's finger. He kept his finger there, his smile growing again. "You're cute, you know that?"
Pushing his hand away, you released a heavy sigh. "Hwang Hyunjin, I told you before, so I'll say it again. Say these things to me when you're sober. I'm too drunk to deal with you teasing me."
"I'm not drunk." He shrugged. " You guys drank the most, and I have work in the morning. Why would I drink?"
You blinked once. Twice.
"You're being serious. You're not drunk?" Suddenly, you felt very sober.
Hyunjin's smile stretched across his entire face, like he was watching a puppy stumble over its own legs. "I never drink enough to get that drunk. I sober up very quickly - I thought you knew."
"How the hell would I know that?" You sneered. "We always drink together!"
"Yeah, all of us. It's not like you're counting my shots or checking when I stop drinking."
"Then why didn't you ever ask me when you were sober?"
"If you really thought I only wanted you to be my girlfriend because I was drunk, then I thought you really didn't want to." Hyunjin patted your head. "You're always so touchy with the guys. I didn't want to be like everyone else. If you were my girlfriend, I'd get jealous."
"I still can't tell if you're lying - " You poured yourself another shot before lifting the shot glass to your lips, but instead of feeling another stinging kiss of liquid, you just felt the back of Hyunjin's hand, shielding the soju from reaching the edge.
He grabbed the shot and downed it in one easy swig. Placing the glass back down, he sighed. "Fine -"
Hyunjin pulled your face close to his, the taste of soju still glimmering on his lips. A forceful yet deep kiss, he sighed into you before dropping one hand to the back of your neck, the other to your waist. His lips moved slowly but with a hunger. Your head was spinning, but whether it was because of the alcohol or just him you couldn't tell. Squeezing the back of your neck ever so slightly, Hyunjin lowered you down to the floor, suddenly more sober than ever.
He looked at you - but it was like you were looking at him for the first time ever in your life. The apartment suddenly seemed so quiet as his gaze followed your heaving chest, breathless from his kiss.
"Yes, I want you to be my girlfriend." He finally spoke. "But I don't want you to answer until you're sober."
Hyunjin stood up and gathered his things. After what seemed like an hour, you sat up and realized he was gone.
Your head was still spinning - that couldn't have been real.
**
You hadn't seen Hyunjin in a week.
Not for lack of trying, but whenever you unlocked your phone only to see his name at the top of your notifications, you couldn't help but panic. Yes, you woke up with a hangover the next day, but the memory of that kiss was burned into your brain, and it was the only thing you could think about.
Hyunjin lived at an apartment complex down the street.
You couldn't help but wonder if he'd magically appear in front of you, and then your words would just be caught in your chest.
Look down, look down. Just keep walking.
Ready to enter your apartment, your curiosity peaked. Looking across the way, you spotted him. Standing in front of his apartment.
With a girl?
Blinding fury took over as you made your way over to him. The girl had already walked away, but something in you just said -
"You're such an asshole!" You gave him one hard shove, nearly pushing him over.
Hyunjin laughed once. "Did I miss something?"
"You - and the - she -"
"- is my neighbor. She got my mail by accident." He opened his back to reveal a small package and two envelopes.
You stumbled back, immediately regretting your entire existence.
Hyunjin took two steps toward you as you took two back. "You haven't been answering my texts."
"W-Well, I -" You couldn't find your words let alone remember how to speak. "I just - "
"So are you ready to give me your answer?"
"What answer?"
He leaned in again, cupping your cheek with his hand. Barely grazing your lips with his, Hyunjin teased. You could feel his breath playing over your skin. Gently resting his lips on your forehead, he pulled away with a content grin.
"I won't kiss you again unless it's as your boyfriend."
It took everything in you not to punch him straight in the stomach, so you settled for a hit to the arm. "Why -" and again "- didn't -" and again "- you just -" and once more "- ASK ME."
Hyunjin couldn't hold back in his laughter. "Sue me for getting nervous in front of the girl I like!" He grabbed hold of your hand before lacing his fingers between yours. "Is that a yes?"
"I hate you." You fought back a laugh.
He nodded. Pulling you into his chest, Hyunjin kissed the top of your head.
"I guess that means yes."

"What do you think?"
I raised an eyebrow as I poked my head inside the van, glancing around at the cramped space that had stupidly been turned into a living space. There was also, weirdly enough, a computer in the corner which made absolutely no sense.
"I think I have no idea what I'm looking at," I admitted, before looking to an excited Skye beside me. "What is this?"
She bit her lip to contain her grin as she patted the van's door proudly. "This is my new rig."
I almost laughed. "You're kidding."
Her smile lessened. "I'm not."
Now I definitely laughed. "Skye, c'mon, be serious. Whose van is this?"
Her smile disappeared as she clenched her jaw with annoyance. "It's mine. Sorry it isn't fancy enough for you, your majesty."
When I realised she was serious, I lost my smile and looked between the van and her. "Skye, where the hell did you get a van? You can't even drive!"
Clearly holding in her anger, she began to push past me and slide the doors shut. "He said you wouldn't get it," she mumbled to herself, but I heard.
"He?" I questioned with raised eyebrows. "Who the hell is he?"
"Miles," she snapped, stopping moving and looking to me. "Miles is the one who got me the van. He said it was a bad idea to show you and clearly he was right, Y/N. You took one look at it and laughed. He was right."
I smiled tightly, trying not to get worked up at the mention of Skye's new friend. She'd befriended this 'Miles' guy within the past few months and wouldn't stop meeting with him and his friends. He was in the grade above us, but just like her, he'd skip class and do God knows what.
Ever since she'd been hanging around them, she'd been standoffish and distant. She wouldn't contact me as much when she ran away, and she'd been skipping school more often than usual. They were clearly a bad influence on her, but she reassured me she was in control of her own life and knew what she was doing. Being the idiot I am, I fell for her pretty smile and convincing eyes, but this was getting too far now.
"No offence, Skye, but I wouldn't start listening to a guy who can't even make it to class on time," I said to her with a hint of annoyance. "Why do you need a van anyway?"
"Why not?" she countered with her arms crossed. "I thought you'd be happy that I'm finally taking responsibility. Growing up."
My expression softened. "I've never once said that you had to do either of those things."
"You don't need to say it," she mumbled, looking down at her shoes with a frown. "I know you think it. Everyone does."
I stepped forward, resting a hand on her shoulder and finding her eyes with mine. "Where is this coming from? Skye, I have never thought that. All I've ever wanted for you is to be safe and happy. I'm just worried."
She shrugged me off. "Well, now you don't need to be. I've got this."
"You're seventeen, you should be in school studying, not staying in a van," I said tiredly. "You've been missing so much. How are you gonna graduate?"
She avoided my eyes. "That's another thing... I've been thinking and, well, I don't think I want that."
I widened my eyes with disbelief. "What?"
Still avoiding my eyes, she continued, "I don't think I want to graduate."
I was too surprised to find words so quickly. I couldn't believe what I was hearing.
"How can you not want to graduate?!" I asked suddenly, finding my words. "It's what you do! It's what we all do!"
She met my eyes with apologetic ones. "It's what you do, Y/N. I don't want to be at a place that makes me feel like shit. I can't keep pretending I fit in when I don't."
"This isn't you," I told her sternly. "We were supposed to graduate together. You're not stupid, Skye. I can help you study. You can't just give up."
"I'm not," she said with certainty. "I finally know what I'm doing. That's all."
I squeezed my fists together to contain my frustration. "And what's that?"
"The Rising Tide–"
"For fuck's sake!" I cut her off, before hitting the van door with frustration.
"Miles has taught me a lot!" she defended. "They do a lot of good, Y/N! I just want to be apart of something bigger. Something that can help me help others. And something that can help me find my family. My real family."
I clenched my jaw, knowing I was too late in convincing her otherwise. Whatever Miles and the others had told her about their stupid hacking group had worked – she was dropping out of high school and there was nothing I could do to stop her.
"You're gonna be going to university and we both know I can't afford it," she said gently. "We couldn't stay together forever, Y/N. And my foster family definitely don't care what happens to me. I don't fit in anywhere."
I looked to her with glassy eyes. "You fit in with me. You always have."
She pursed her lips as she stayed quiet.
"I'm sorry I didn't make that clear enough," I added bitterly.
"That's not it and you know it," she muttered, shaking her head. "I have to do this. I have to figure myself out. Alone."
I felt stupid for letting her do everything she did leading up to this point. If I had just tried a little harder, maybe things could have been different.
"You're not alone though, are you?" I asked rhetorically. "You've got your new pals at the Rising Tide. It's their damn fault you're doing all this."
"They're not as bad as you think!"
"You've changed because of them!" I argued back. "They created a barrier between you and I. It's because of them that you've... that you've..."
"What?" she snapped, glaring at me. "That I'm finally thinking for myself?!"
I swallowed the lump in my throat and straightened up. "Forget it, just– forget it. I've got a midterm to study for."
She snickered harshly. "Of course. Don't want me slowing you down."
I stayed quiet and turned around to leave. I couldn't see past my anger as I left her with her stupid van.
Of course, the two of us had been friends for a lot longer than that silly argument, so I was quick to realise how much I actually cared about her and her life, and wanted to apologise for how harsh and unsupportive I sounded.
The next day after school, I decided to head over to her foster family's place to hopefully talk to her. I'd had enough time to think about it and knew I was a lot more levelheaded now that I'd had some space.
I knocked on the front door and waited before an older blonde woman answered. I recognised her as Skye's foster mum, Sally.
"Hi, Mrs Collins," I greeted with a smile. "I'm looking for–”
"Mary doesn't live here anymore," Sally cut me off instantly, surprising me.
I had almost forgotten that Skye's foster family knew her as the name she was given by her orphanage – Mary Sue Poots.
"She doesn't?" I asked with confusion. "But I thought–"
"Goodbye, Miss Y/L/N," Sally interrupted, before slamming the door in my face.
I blinked with confusion before turning around and walking down the steps. It had been a while since I last visited Skye at home. In fact, she made sure I never visited her at home. I guess now I knew why. But then where the hell was she living?
As I walked around the neighbourhood trying to think about where Skye could be, I saw a familiar van parked up on the side of the street and put the pieces together.
Guiltily, I approached the van and sucked up a deep breath before knocking on the side. It didn't take long for the door to slide open and reveal Skye herself.
"Hey," I said quietly, noticing her surprised expression. "Can we talk?"
She licked her lips nervously and nodded, before moving to the side to let me in. I climbed inside and watched as she shut the door before settling on the seat in front of me. I looked around and realised the little details I hadn't noticed yesterday. The little things that made this place Skye's and nobody else's.
"I'd offer you a drink, but I don't have any," she joked to lighten the mood, and I couldn't help but crack a small smile.
I breathed out before meeting her eyes. "Skye, I'm really sorry about yesterday. I shouldn't have reacted like that. If I had known that this was your home, I–"
"You didn't know," she said, shaking her head with embarrassment. "I didn't want you to know. It's my fault."
I pursed my lips, watching as she looked away with pink cheeks. It hurt me to know that she was embarrassed when I didn't care about any of this, I just cared about her.
"I want you to know that I respect your decision to join the Rising Tide," I said gently, making her look up. "If it's what you want, you should go for it."
"It is," she said with certainty.
I chewed on the inside of my mouth before asking, "Is there no way you can finish high school though? Graduate with me?"
She shook her head. "I don't want to, Y/N."
"But that's the bare minimum," I pleaded. "Hacking isn't a lifestyle. You need to work, too, and I can promise you that most places won't look to hire a high school dropout."
She leaned back in her seat and shrugged nervously. "Miles isn't graduating either. And he's got some friends who haven't graduated. They're all doing fine."
I looked down and pinched the bridge of my nose to contain my frustration. I promised myself I wouldn't argue with her, but the mention of her other friends was like a trigger.
"What now?" she asked with annoyance, realising I was annoyed. "You clearly have something to say about them."
"It doesn't matter," I said, biting my tongue.
"Sure it doesn't," she played along.
"It doesn't," I agreed.
"Yeah, and the Hulk isn't bright green," she said sarcastically.
I looked up and glared at her. She stared back challengingly, practically daring me to speak. So, I did.
"Your new hacker friends are the reason you're making these choices," I told her straight. "They're the reason you're making a huge mistake. The reason you're dropping out. And for what? So you can hack like them?"
She rolled her eyes. "I know you look down on us, but we're more than that."
"Skye, I don't give a shit about them!" I shouted without meaning to. "I only care about you!"
"Then stop talking crap about my friends!" she returned angrily.
"Why do you care about them so much?!"
"They gave me a place to stay when I had nowhere! They made me feel like I belonged!"
I frowned, anger replacing with hurt. "I always offered you a place to stay. I only ever wanted you to be safe. You never needed to be different with me. You belonged. Always."
She swallowed hard and looked away from me ashamedly. "Well it doesn't matter anymore. I'm leaving."
I breathed out deeply. "School? Our town? Leaving what?"
"All of it," she said quietly. "I don't expect you to understand."
I looked down to my fumbling hands, a tear slipping from my eye. I had never felt so angry at someone before in my life. She was treating me like I was a stranger, as if I wasn't somebody who knew her inside out. She was treating me like she treated everyone else except her new friends. And I couldn't deal with it anymore.
"Fine," I said, before moving to open the door. I jumped out her van and didn't spare her a glance as I said, "Have fun with the rest of your life. Sorry I didn't care enough."
She didn't say anything and I didn't expect her to. With a broken heart and headache, I left and didn't bother turning back.
"What do you mean she's run away?"
"I'm sorry, Y/N," Mr Lock said apologetically. "Her foster family got the note this morning. They're doing what they can to find her. She always turns up, you know that."
I knew her family didn't care if she was gone or not, so I knew Skye definitely wouldn't be found. Unlike usual, Skye hadn't contacted me before leaving, so something told me she wouldn't be turning up.
Our argument was over a week ago and I hadn't seen her since. It had been eating away at me the way we'd left things, but I couldn't find it in myself to face her. I had no idea what to say anyway. And I wasn't sure when she was planning on leaving, so I didn't think it was important right now. Clearly, I was wrong.
"I just thought you should know," Mr Lock said with a nod. "The police will come by soon to get a statement from you."
As usual. Except this time, I actually had no idea where she was.
I nodded, my mouth going dry. "Thank you... can I go now?"
He nodded hesitantly. "Of course."
I left his office and headed straight outside behind the bleachers where nobody could hear or see me. The first thing I did was try to ring Skye, but there was no answer and no way to leave a voicemail. I tried several times, hoping she'd pick up, but she didn't. And that's when I remembered the burner phone.
Immediately pulling it out, I turned it on and saw the message from her appear on my screen. I was quick to open it, my heart racing like it did every time she ran away. I knew she wasn't coming back this time though.
Hey, Y/N. I know you probably hate me, but I felt like I owed you this. I said I was leaving and I have. I can't tell you where. And I'm not good at goodbyes. I've had too many of them and I couldn't bring myself to say it to you. I'm sorry I pushed you away. I never wanted to, but I guess some things are inevitable, huh? I've managed to do it all my life, this isn't any different. I'm just sorry if I hurt you in the process. Anyway, this is pretty long and I don't even know if you read it, but yeah. I'm sorry. I wish things could have been different.
The text ended there and I found myself rereading it to myself over and over, her words imprinted in my mind. I knew we'd argued and exchanged hurtful words, but I never in a million years thought she'd leave without saying goodbye. I thought I meant more to her than this. But no. I was just another foster family she ran away from. And I wasn't so sure I'd see her again.

I fell on my knees, looking at my family laying on the floor, white foam and another odd colour of a substance coming out of their mouths. My hand started to tremble as I reached out for my little siblings hand. It was cold. I couldn't help, but sob. Looking at their faces made me weak, it was pale, way too pale and far from its original tone. Their expressions will be one that will be engraved with me, they looked somehow peaceful, if it wasn't for the foam, we could mistaken for them to be asleep.
I put my palm on their cheeks, taking in their features for the last time, they're so young, way too young. They barely lived. There's so much ahead of them. They were looking forward to their lives, I was supposed to watch them grow up and see them graduate. Watch them enjoy their lives and, maybe, them eventually becoming parents.
My head suddenly turned to my parents, I looked at their faces and both of them held a small smile with dried tears clearly noticeable on their faces. My eyes glanced down on their hands, they were hold each other's hands, with their wedding rings on. Another sob came out of my mouth and hoped that they were able to move on with their next life. I felt a tiny happy feeling inside of me, my parents were divorced and they separated, but seeing them like this.. It made me feel.. somehow happy.
My tears were never ending. They kept on falling as I let out a scream. It hurt. My family is gone, without me, and soon I too will be gone. But I did not wanted to go, not yet.. Not alone. I got up and grabbed a blanket, placing it over my family. I noticed one of our gardening flowers in the living room, it was withering, but I took it and placed it on top of the blanket.
"Thank you.. For everything. I hope you were able to move on. I love you all... May we meet again."
A hiccup escaped my mouth, I quickly wiped my tears even though they kept on coming. My eyes went to the TV, the timer kept on going down and flashing, reminding me the time I had left to live the life I couldn't live at its fullest. I clenched my jaw and threw the closest thing to me on it, which was a family frame and made my way to the front door, locking it, out of habit and looked at my house I've lived it for the past 18 years.
All the good and bad memories flashing in my head, finally arriving to the conclusion even if I mostly had downs, I've enjoyed many moments of it. I was still glad to be able to live, experiencing things, even though I would have experienced more. Then the feeling of regret came to me, I shouldn't have wasted the time and moments I locked myself up in my room.
"Goodbye... My memory box."
With that, I made my way to the usual hangout of my friends and I. There was one more thing I wanted to say to someone first. The thought of them gone came across my head and my walking became jogging then running. The people in the streets were wildly insane. Some celebrating, some were trying to loot places before entering their bunkers, some were making out, some were crying. There were too many things happening, it terrified me. The sirens started to go and a mix of screaming, cheering and crying could be heard.
"I don't have much time... I need to see him... Its- AHH!"
The sound of guns could be heard, people started to shoot each other and a bunch of troubled people descended their vehicles and screamed 'We're all going to die soon, give up your life already'. That sentence caused a havoc amongst the people, bodies started to flop on the ground and blood spattered everywhere, this made me run faster. I stop dead in my tracks as I came face to face with the silent guy in my physics class who I would always bring his favourite chocolate chips cookie. My hands immediately went up as soon as I saw the crossbow he was holding.
“Nerd.”
Every step he took, made me insides hurt me even more. I would always try to cheer him up or make him smile or even get to open up, in the end I would always be the one ending up talking about how much of a wuss I am when I would always fail to get along with him again. He came up to me, his long pink hair swaying by his side, I closed my eyes and waited for the agonizing pain, but it never came, instead, I was engulfed in a warm hug. My eyes shot wide open as I returned the hug and squeezed the man.
“Thank you for being a wonderful friend to me. You made me feel things that a normal teenager should feel. What do they call it? Fireflies? No, I think it was butterflies. But too bad, it’s time to say goodbye now. I do admit, I will miss your rants.”
“Techno-“
“Dave, now go. Go to him.”
“Dave… thank you.”
I felt him give a small peck on my cheek before he turns away gracefully, I fully took note of what he was wearing, it was beautiful. He was dressed as if he was a king or even a god, his red cape flowing through the wind perfectly. I smiled and continued my course. After making turns, I finally arrived to the hangout spot, my running turned into jogging then walking, then I finally stopped, seeing his tall figure and his signature long brown coat and beanie.
"Wil-"
There he was. Comforting her, whispering things in her ear. The both of them were sitting on the bench we made, so the whole gang could fit in it. She looked up to him, her tears still falling down. I saw him lean in and she did the same thing. My breathing stopped. My head and thoughts went numb. Both of their eyes closing, lips about to touch. Before I could see the action happen, I was turned around, my face making contact with a torso and my body embraced in a hug. My sobs were silenced by the loud sirens. It hurts. He knew I liked him, he knew and now he's there kissing Niki.
My best friend.
I confessed to him, only to have him tell me he wanted space to think. Niki knew I liked him as well, hell she was the one who helped me gather my courage to go confess to him. Was I that oblivious to not notice the sudden change in Wilbur's behaviour whenever he saw Niki close or the way he talked, always harsh to me, but always soft to Niki? And the look he held in his eyes when I'm with him, nothing but boredom and annoyance and when Niki showed up, his eyes would light up and smile immediately. He would always find a way to finis the conversation quickly so that he can go talk with her.
I was blinded by what I thought was love.
"Let it out.. Let it all out y/n."
I recognized who it was just by the sound of his voice. Clay. I hugged him tighter, before my knees gave up, the both of us ending up on the ground. Never once Clay let me go. His arms were around me in a protective manner, his hand caressing my back and felt him humming something, head still on his chest.
Clay.
The one who was always been there for me when I was at my lowest and needed someone. The one who always took me out of my cave of a room when I was sad. The one who would stay up all night to play games with me. The one who helped me the most when my older sibling died. The one who would encourage me to go hang out with Nick, George and him when the others were having a chill hangout when I wasn't invited. The one who always cheered me up when I was gloomy and unwell. The one who always visited me whenever I missed a day in school.
He was the one who truly cared about my health.
The only one who truly cared about me.
I looked up to him, taking in all his features for the first time. His freckles sprayed perfectly on his face, his blonde hair was displayed in a messy way, they were wavy, reminded me of Wilbur's. His eyes were closed, eyelashes long as ever, lips looking plum and nose looking boopable. He wore a simple outfit, jeans with black converse and his signature lime green hoodie with a smiley face of it. The small breeze made his hair slightly move to the wind and made his eyes open. Those beautiful emerald green eyes.
Oh, they were the prettiest colour I've ever seen. Just looking at them, I got lost in them. They would always gave me a sort of warm and welcoming feeling. How could've I not looked at him like this before? Never once I fully took in his features. Clay, is the most beautiful man I've ever seen.
Why was I always focused on Wilbur?
When the one who truly cared for me, was always by my side?
A wave of guilt hit me, my vision becoming blurry ones again, Clay must've felt my shaking and heard my sobs once again. He looked down to me, eyes meeting each other's and a soft smile came across is beautiful face. I was no longer held in a hug, but his hands made contact with my cheeks, cupping them. He wiped away my tears with his thumb and put his forehead on mine. I found it selfish that I enjoyed this, Clay was always there for me and I wasn't able to pay his kindness.
"Clay... Why? You were always there for me, but.. I don't understand.. why?"
"It's you, y/n. It's always been you. I was head over heels for you, ever since I saw you for the first time. As we grew closer, I fell even more for you. Y/n, you're a wonderful woman, you're fucking gorgeous and you're amazing. Wilbur's a fucking asshole for not accepting you, the man fucked up and seeing you losing your smile.. It broke me. It fucking broke me. I didn't want you to lose that precious smile. You're an amazing person and you deserve the world, I.. I couldn't give you all of the things you deserve.
You went through so much and it always broke me seeing you unwell and unstable. I don't know how you do it... You're so fucking strong. After all that.. You still managed to keep a smile and be an optimist. I know that happy persona is nothing but a front, I know, trust me. — he paused for a moment, tucking a strand of loose hair behind my ear — Darling, you have no idea how lucky and happy I am to be able to see the real you. Every moment I spent with you, were the best moments in my life, Y/n."
I took in all of his words and played them in my head several times. I felt his thumb caressing my cheeks and hear him sniffle. I noticed the tears rolling down his face and this made something explode in my heart. I never saw Clay cry. Never once this man showed any sign of sadness or whatsoever before. Taking in on the fact that he was always on the one sided love destroyed me. He was making sure I was doing okay even though it meant to destroy him.
My thoughts were fighting against each other. All of the moments I have spent with Clay played in my head all over again. Remembering all of the times he would make me blush, because we would compliment me. The times were we would tease each other. The times were we would both pretend to be lovers just to be able to get 'couple discounts' and 'couple contests'. The moments I truly felt happy. And finally... The moment he would always make my heart skip a beat and give me butterflies. All of the thoughts led me to one conclusion that was written everywhere, all of the signs were there, but I was too blind actually see it...
Clay was the one I truly loved.
My eyes flickered to the object in the sky, slowly but quickly approaching us. I panicked and placed my hands on his cheeks. He looked at me in the eyes, his were red due to the crying and his expression was even more hard to take in. My breathing started to quicken, I shook my head, wanting to talk with him more, figure things out, but the object in the sky was making me stressed.
"Why..?! W..Why haven't you said anything Clay..?! I... Why only now??"
He looked up seeing the nukes coming closer and clenched his jaw. He once again faced me and pressed his lips against mine. My eyes immediately closed, suddenly forgetting about everything happening around us. Never wanting for this moment to end. When he pulled away, he pulled me back to reality. The sounds of the nukes coming was getting louder and louder. The lights started to blind my view.
"Clay.. Clay! N..No.. We can talk about this... I.. We can fix this... We can..."
Clay engulfed me in a hug, caressing me, trying to calm my horrified self. I clung onto the man whom I've realized, was the one. My cries were loud, I felt drops of water on my shoulder. He too was crying. Kissing my forehead on last time, he smile at me saying his final words.
"In another life... Maybe, it will be meant to be."
I looked at him for the last time, accepting my fate and gave him a genuine smile, for the first time.
"I love you."

Babies! Oh God! You cannot express how fed up you were because of that word. After you and Jungkook got married, your family members had nothing to talk about to you except babies. It's like they were pressuring you, well scratch that, they were, but unconsciously though. You couldn't blame them. You grew up in a culture that was not really open to the idea of "we are gonna wait a few years until we feel like we're ready."! Yeah, this ideology does not exist!
"Wait until when? I am not living more than I already am!" Your grandma would say, or "wait for what? Are you still getting to know each other after a five-year relationship?" Your grandpa would scoff, and your favourite one was "Hunny, are you kidding? You'll never be ready! No one is ever really ready! … You think me and my sister had you, kids, because we were ready?" Your auntie would say in disbelief laughing lightly at your logic with said sister, your mum, sitting next to her shaking her head in disappointment with a "can you believe her?" murmured in annoyance.
You didn't have the heart to blame your family that's how they were raised for generations, and for you to try and change their mind-set would be difficult, almost impossible. That is until you and Jungkook refused to talk upon the matter anymore saying that this is your life and you're free to do whatever you both agree on, only then did they stop nagging you; however, you knew they were not happy about it.
Jungkook on the other hand never really minded the idea of babies, in fact, if you told him that you were ready, he would gladly help you right away, if you know what I mean, but knowing your concerns, not only did he comfort you, but also respected that you were not there yet, mentally. You would always tell him "I sometimes think that I am still a baby, myself. How can I have one when I think like that!" He would chuckle, patting your head and cuddling you closely "Baby, it's okay. We don't need to have one right now! Why are you so worried about it?" He asked looking down at you since he was resting his chin on your head. "I mean, aren't you bothered about it? Don't you want to have your own child?" You pouted thinking that maybe you're holding one of Jungkook's wishes back which can make you feel that you're not good enough for him. "Well, baby, of course, I want a child, but I want to have it with you, and if you're not ready that's totally fine! I mean when I think about it, it is a huge deal, you're going to house a human being in your body for 9 long months, and your body would go through drastic changes, plus you'd have to not only take care of yourself but the baby growing inside you, as well!" Jungkook cradled you to his chest moving aside a lock of your hair behind your ear. "It's all amazing, but you're the one who's carrying a baby, I would never pressure you to do that if you're not ready!" He said looking into your eyes sincerely. "Oh, I love you so much!" You said giving him a few repetitive pecks on his lips. "How did I end up with such an amazing man!" Your lips barely meeting his, whispering before you closed the small gap between you, kissing him with all the passion and love you held for this wonderful husband of yours.
Tumblr media
That all changed when one day you were at the hairdresser's getting a new hair cut. You were looking through your phone waiting for your turn until you noticed a woman entering the shop. She had this unusual aura to her, like something about her seemed to interest you, she walked around as if she had accomplished something amazing but wouldn't brag about it as if to let her accomplishment speak for itself. You understood why you felt that because minutes later, two identical accomplishments followed her suit. They were two identical boys who were probably 4 or 5 years of age. You were in awe when you saw them following their mummy, like lost puppies. They resembled her greatly, and behaved very well as if their mum promised to buy them Disneyland if they did. They stood next to her looking up at her as if she is their whole world.
For a moment you imagined that with Jungkook, and what would it feel like to have a baby in both of your lives. How would it feel to have a child of your own looking at you the way these boys looked at their mum.
For weeks to follow, you were almost obsessed with the twin boys you saw at the hair salon. How they dressed, how they behaved, how they sat obediently eating their sweets waiting for their mum to finish, how their mother would look at them through the mirror every once in a while to check on them, how they cutely complimented her saying that "mummy is the prettiest girl ever!" With wide eyes looking up in amazement and cute small sticky fingers from the sweets reaching up in the air in excitement. The whole thing kept repeating over and over in your head which led you to look up some photos of babies and reading more about them and what's new in the parenting world that parents try and apply with their kids. You even reached the point where you would stop at the babies section, racking through cute onesies, making Jungkook arch an eyebrow in amazement. "Are you pregnant or something?" He would ask eyeing your belly before looking up at your face trying to see what's going on inside your head. You would shake your head slightly before reluctantly letting go of the tiny baby clothes and taking Jungkook's hand to move to another department of the store.
Jungkook, too, could feel a change in your behaviour, like how you would gaze longingly at kids playing at the park when you had your picnics there, how you would pause to listen to a show that talks about babies and how to care for them, he even caught you reading a book about pregnancy. His heart skipped a beat when you went to visit your brother after his wife delivered a healthy baby girl; you kept holding her the whole time refusing to let anyone hold her unless it was your brother's wife because she needed to feed her. He even took a photo of you, you were looking at your niece so lovingly when you looked up at Jungkook smiling brightly as if she was your own. He put it as a background for his phone.
Tumblr media
"Yaaah! If you want a baby that bad make one of your own!" Yoongi yelled playfully at Jungkook who wouldn't stop looking at the photo. "Ay! Don't pressure the kid." Namjoon said looking disappointedly at Yoongi for saying that. "Well, there's no pressure. It's just … I don't know y/n has been acting weird lately!" He took a last look at his phone's background before it displayed his worried features as he closed the screen. "What do you mean weird?" Jimin asked looking at Jungkook quizzically. "I don't know… it's… she'd stare at baby clothes when we go shopping even though there's no one we know who's going to give birth soon. I mean I could have brushed it off thinking that she wants to buy some as a gift or something, but no." Jungkook ruffled his black locks resting his elbows on his knees. "And you know she looks at them as if … as if she's imaging them on a certain baby, not the way she'd look at them as if inspecting the design or something, do you understand what I mean?" He looked up at his hyungs waiting for a confirmation that he's not imagining things. Namjoon nodded "you mean she inspecting the clothes as if she's buying it for her own baby, not just going through them?"
"YES!"Taehyung jumped at Jungkook's sudden outburst. "Sorry Hyung!" Jungkook muttered to Taehyung before focusing on Namjoon again. "Well, it's easy she wants a baby!" Hobi said shrugging and looking at Jungkook as if he's dumb and that this was as obvious as the sun. "No shit Sherlock! I know that. It's just she never said anything about it ." Jungkook was bewildered he didn't understand your sudden change of attitude, and if you had a change of heart about having a baby, then why didn't you tell him? "Just talk to her about it. See if she's ready or not, maybe she is, but something is holding her back, you never know!" Jin said patting Jungkook on the back. "we are definitely having a talk." Jungkook sighed lighting up his phone's screen to look lovingly at your photo holding your niece.
"Baby, you home?" Jungkook looked around the house for you while taking off his shoes and closing the door. "In here!" You answered from your bedroom. You heard his footsteps on the stairs knowing very well from the sound of it that he was skipping some. You rolled your eyes at your husband's child-like behaviour. "BABE!" He suddenly opened the door to your room, a huge smirk on his face as he stepped slowly towards you. "What? What's wrong? Why are you giving me that look?" You looked him up and down as if he's gone mental. Out of nowhere, he pounced on you like a cat making you put your book aside as you squirmed beneath him. "Oh my God, Kook get off. What's wrong with you!" You started laughing because he started leaving small pecks on your neck, and it was ticklish. "Tell me!" He suddenly stopped and looked into your eyes. "Tell you what?" You searched his face thinking that he might be drunk. "Tell me what you're not telling me!" He said, face getting closer to yours as you backed yours from his. "Are you drunk?" You said laughing, again. He was being unusual. "Nah, I am not. I just want to know what's wrong. Lately, you've been acting weird as if you're hiding something." He claimed as he sat beside you, taking you in his arms as your upper half laid on his bent knee; this was your position when you both had deep talks, he'd let you rest your back on his bent knee as he held you closely, usually playing with your hair locks. "You keep on checking baby clothes whenever we go shopping, you're reading a book about pregnancy and parenting, you listen to anything related to babies on the T.V. are you not telling me something?" He asked with concern filling his doe eyes as he caressed your cheek. "I … I've..." You sighed closing your eyes; words were not getting out of your mouth. "What? What is it baby? You can tell me." His thumb brushed your cheek in a soft motion encouraging you to speak up. "I … I want a baby." You said out of nowhere and looked at Jungkook to see his reaction. "Well, baby that's great. You know I don't mind, then what stopped you from telling me?" Jungkook flashed you his bunny smile, happy to know that you're ready to take this step with him. "It... It's just, you know I have been reading about it, pregnancy and stuff." He nodded, a sign for you to go on. "And it's all great and everything, but what if something went wrong?" You looked worriedly into your husband's confused eyes. "Like what if I have a miscarriage? What if something happens to the baby? Like what if …"
"Hold on, hold on … baby why are you trying to predict everything? Why can't you focus on the positive side?" He said trying to calm your raging thoughts. "What if my body is not strong enough to have a baby?"
"Baby, nooo!" Jungkook pulled you closer into his arms. "No, none of this is going to happen, we are going to keep checking up with a doctor, and everything will be fine. I'll always be by your side." He said pulling your head under his chin, then he pulled back to look you in the eyes, "and even if something happens, We will go through it together. I know it will be harder for you, but I swear that there's nothing in this life that could be offered to help you lessen your pain that I won't do it." He whispered sincerely, holding your face between his big warm hands. You hugged him tightly, "I love you so much, I don't even know what I did to deserve you!" You said crying over the fact that a man like Jungkook existed, a man who's willing to do anything for you. "Ah, baby I love you, too so much. I don't want you to doubt us or the future. You know why?" He chuckled feeling you shake your head. "Because the future is never guaranteed, but the only thing that is guaranteed is us, and I know that we're strong enough to face anything life throws at us, together." He said hugging you tighter. "Okay, baby?" He pulled back to look at you. You nodded as he wiped away your tears. "Now, about that baby..." He smirked as you laughed at his goofiness. He always knew how to make you laugh. Always.

Now fast forward a few years, you and Jungkook are parents now. It didn't take that long to get pregnant thanks to Jungkook's stamina. Your pregnancy went on smoothly and nothing bad happened. Just as Jungkook promised, he was always right there for you, for everything; from the moment you both found out, to birth-giving, till now. Speaking of which, the poor thing was so terrified when he knew that your doctor would perform a C-section and that you wouldn't be giving birth naturally.
"Is she supposed to be awake during the surgery?" Jungkook worriedly asked the doctor as he could see that the medication they have given you were not putting you to sleep. "Oh don't worry, Mr Jeon. She won't feel a thing, we drugged the part that we will be working on, and it's normal for her to be awake." Your Doctor smiled kindly at him knowing that this was his first time undergoing something like this. Jungkook was dressed in scrubs holding your hand to keep you from panicking, the doctor also hung up something like a sheet in front of you so you won't see them perform the surgery. "Are you okay?" Jungkook whispered, trying to make small conversation with you as you kept looking at him. You nodded still looking at him as he was getting more anxious by the minute because of your intense staring, "Jungkook why are you panicking, I am the one who's having her stomach open, not you." He laughed squeezing your hand, his nerves easing a bit. "How are you so cool with this?"
"I don't think me panicking right now, would do us any good, you know." Jungkook chuckled then kissed your forehead.
An hour has already passed by when they informed you that you delivered and that the surgery was almost over, they needed to stitch you up. "Jungkook go with the nurse!" You said urgently turning to look at him. "No baby, it's okay, your mum and my mum are waiting outside, I'll wait with you here." He said calming you down, he promised that he won't leave your side until you both get out of the surgery's room together. "But, this means that they'll know!" Jungkook chuckled at your worried expression. "It's okay baby, let them know." He said kissing your forehead. "You did great, and I am so proud of you!" He was tearing up because he could not understand how women could go through all of this, he was truly amazed. "I love you." You said looking into his teary eyes, "I love you, too baby so much!" He pecked your lips before the doctor announced that you were good to go.
It definitely wasn't easy, but with Jungkook there, everything was better.

Right now, you and Jungkook were asleep in each other's arms, appreciating the few hours of silence before everything turns back to its chaotic state in the morning. Since you've given birth, you could swear that you became a light sleeper. Your mum brushed off your marvellous discovery with a laugh claiming that it's normal for most mums to become light sleepers because you're always worried.
Just like now, your ears perked as you felt tiny footsteps softly padding towards your bedroom. And you were right, as you slowly turned in Jungkook's arms, so not to wake him up, you found your 3-year-old, Haneul, standing quietly by the door, sucking on his thumb and trying to search for you in the dark. "Haneul, baby I am here." You whispered and got up to see what's wrong. He padded softly towards you in his Stitch Kigurumi onesies that he insisted you buy from your last trip to Disneyland because that's his favourite character. "Oh baby what's wrong." You picked him up and held him in your arms cradling him as if to protect him from all the world's evil. You already knew what's wrong, he needed to change his diaper. "Come on baby, let's go to your room, daddy's still asleep." You left the room quietly hoping not to wake Jungkook up.
Haneul whimpered lightly in your arms seeing that he was irritated because of his diaper and he was still super sleepy. "Okay baby I'll change it for you, just please be quiet, your brother is still sleeping!" You prayed than Haneul won't throw a fit and wake up his twin, Hyun, from his sleep. It was too early to wake up the whole household right now.
"There, all done!" You whispered enthusiastically as he flashed a bunny-like grin at you just like his father. "Thanks, mummy." He grinned shaking his body cutely from side to side still laying on the changing table. "Anything for you baby!" You dived your head to his stomach attacking him with kisses as he squirmed beneath you. "Come on let's get you back to bed." You said putting him back in his crib and giving him a goodnight kiss. Before you could shut the door to the boys' room, you saw Haneul still standing in his crib giving you puppy eyes as he whimpered. You heart squeezed in your chest at the sight of your baby in discomfort. He wanted to sleep with you and Jungkook, but you can't let them get used to it. "Mummy!" Haneul whimpered reaching his tiny arms out for you. You sighed, your heart was too weak to leave him alone in the dark, you just couldn't do it. His eyes were starting to tear up as you went up to him. "God, you guys are my weakness." You muttered to yourself. As you were about to pick Haneul up, Hyun started to turn in his sleep, slowly waking up. Another pair of doe eyes slowly opened up, fluttering due to the dark smooth locks that were getting in its way. "Mummy!" You sighed great now both of them are awake and they will refuse to go back to sleep in their cribs.
Jungkook woke up to an empty bed, he jolted awake thinking you must be with the kids and that you might need his help, but didn't wake him up. He walked to the kids' bedroom to see you holding Haneul in your arms with him sucking on his thumb, drowsy eyes fighting sleep as you looked at Hyun who was carefully climbing out of his bed. "Careful baby!" You seemed to be fine, but your voice told otherwise, it was laced with worry, fearing that his leg might slip and he would get hurt. Hyun climbed down carefully then went up to you tugging on your nightdress and whimpering grumpily. Jungkook entered the room, "come here, buddy." He said scooping Hyun in his arms. "Baby, you woke up!" You frowned not liking the idea of him getting up so early. Since giving birth to your beautiful baby boys, Jungkook has put you and the boys as his top priority, and he was always there making sure you don't need anything. You didn't want him to wake up so early for once so that he could enjoy his sleep before going to the studio. "I didn't find you in my arms, so I got up to look for you." He said gazing at you lovingly. You kissed him on the cheek, he smiled and told you to go to bed with Haneul "I'll change Hyun's diaper and come right behind you." He said planting a kiss on your forehead. "Okay, baby." You said pulling Haneul closer to your chest.
Tumblr media
A few minutes later, Jungkook and Hyun joined you and Haneul in bed. Haneul was fast asleep with his head resting on your chest, and Hyun was still awake looking up at Jungkook. "Come on buddy, go to sleep," Jungkook whispered running his fingers through Hyun's black locks that he inherited from his dad. "Appa!" Jungkook hummed softly in response. "Sing to me." Hyun traced his small fingers over Jungkook's cheek. Jungkook smiled closing his eyes for a few seconds enjoying the feeling as he started singing softly and quietly so that Hyun would go back to sleep.
You smiled, recalling all the things you've been through up until this moment. You remembered how you both were shocked when you found out you were having twins. That day was the best day of your life, you cried in happiness so much that Jungkook thought it was your hormones getting the best of you. "No... I'm just … I'm so happy." You said whipping your tears. That night you sat on the bed with Jungkook holding you in the same position that he would hold you when you're both having a deep conversation. You told him about the twins you saw that day, and how you were so fascinated by them and how they interacted with their mum. Jungkook smiled softly at you as he rubbed your belly. You both decided that you wouldn't tell anyone that you were having twins, and that it would be a surprise to your family and friends. The shock on their faces when they entered the room to congratulate you to find each of you holding a baby was priceless.
"Oh my God, are...are... You gave birth to twins!" Your grandma said in tears astonished by the surprise. "Oh, my dear bless you." She cried as you nodded with a big smile on your face. Your mum and Jungkook's mum were the ones who were in great shock because they were the ones who were waiting in the waiting room to suddenly find two nurses coming out with two babies. "How could you not tell us something like that?" Your mum asked whipping her tears as she looked at Haneul who was sleeping soundly in Jungkook's arms. "We wanted to surprise you." Jungkook replied as your dad smiled with tears in his eyes as he kept looking between you and Jungkook. "Congratulations sweetheart!" He planted a kiss on your forehead, proud of you. "Thanks, dad."
To say that the boys were shocked is an understatement. Poor Hobi kept looking left and right at each baby. "What the … twins?" Jimin burst in excitement as Yoongi grinned down at Haneul and Namjoon patting Jungkook's back smiling at Haneul, too. "They're so cute!" Jimin said excitedly as you handed him Hyun. "Careful, hyung!" Jungkook said worriedly, eyes watching Jimin like a hawk. "Look at our Jungkookie being a protective father," Jin said laughing with Taehyung bursting in laughter.
The boys kept pampering your kids to no end. Jin and Jungkook would even make sure that you and Lilly, Jin's wife, have play dates for the kids, seeing that Jin and Jungkook are the only fathers in the group. Life was treating you good with everyone surrounding you with love and care.
"What are you thinking?" Jungkook whispered. You looked at Hyun to find him fast asleep. "Nothing I was just remembering the day the boys blessed us with their existence." You smiled patting Hyun's back as you lifted the blanket to his shoulder. Jungkook's eyes gleamed at you as he smiled, probably remembering that day, too. Having kids is a huge deal to any couple but with Jungkook being there as he promised, you felt that everything is alright, and you didn't have anything to worry about. You and Jungkook fell into a deep sleep holding each other's hands as both Haneul and Hyun slept soundly between the two of you.

"where the fuck are you?" bakugou's voice stroke over the phone, noticeably angry. he had told you several times to never go anywhere without him, which you mostly did, if it weren't for him being away a lot of times. nothing less was expected from your right hand, who handled every dirty job, and considering your line of work, it wasn't scarce. but you did had other bodyguards, just as trained as katsuki, willing to give their lifes for you, which was extremely better than having bakugou giving his life.
to his eyes, you were still the little girl from before. he saw you as a someone who needed protection. at first, you agreed. your father was murdered, someone managed to get through all his security and killed him, none of the guns he and his security team carried around could protect him, killing you would be like stealing a sweet from a baby. bakugou had always kept you safe, despite his agressive usual safe, he cared about you more than he cared for himself. so you stuck to his side, believing, hoping, he'd die for you. but that was a long time ago, now, you could defend yourself, and had raised a sense of loyalty in your people by your own. your father's empire was based in fear, yours? by admiration. you didn't see your people as working ants, but as important parts of a whole. still, anyone who was a threat to you, bakugou made sure to erase them forever.
"don't talk to me like that, i'm your boss" you could feel him losing his shit, a smile began to form in your face. even when everyone respected you, he was still the same.
"you can't boss anyone if you're fucking dead, you dumb shit" a laugh came out of your throat, he couldn't avoid smiling at the sound "wait, oh, okay, i know we're you are. stay there, i'll be in three" he hung up before you could reply.
you looked back, at one of your guards who was just putting away his phone. of course they told him. why couldn't you go get your own coffee? being in the office all day was tiring, to be five minutes outside was all you asked for. a few seconds after, they handed you your coffee, obviously, a guard had to try it first, in case that barista wanted to suddenly murder you. of course he didn't.
"who let her go outside without me knowing, huh?" a furious katsuki appeared through the door, making a scene in the place. you gave him a warning look. if there was something you hated, was that. everyone in the area knew who you were, but why make it any more obvious. those people were just living their usual lifes, and people tend to get nervous around you. "the car is waiting outside" he understood, but you knew he was going to scold you anyways.
you walked outside, smiling, and got into the car, followed by katsuki and one of his subordinates, the other one got in the front sit, next to the driver.
"save it, i'm n–"
"the fuck you are" he cut you "your safety is my responsibility, if i say you can't go out without me, then you fucking don't. specially not when there are people after your head" there was no denying he was right, but still, it upset you.
"there's always people after my head, bakugou".
two weeks ago, two men went into your office. they were in charge of some dealing territories, though small, important. most contraband had to pass those places, you controlled those police departments making everything easier to your truck drivers. they were beaten, cover in blood and barely standing.
"our men, all of them... they all..." only one of them could talk, the other being too shocked to even look at you. "kazuhito's men, it was them... they said we had to tell you, they're coming after you" you couldn't show any fear in front of your so called soldiers, and your template remained at ease. a shout was enough to get those men the help they needed, after holding their hands, you promised to go see them once they were checked by doctors. you called bakugou as soon as they left, he was the first who should know and help you decide what to do next.
the kazuhito family had always been rivals, enemies of the worst kind. everyone suspect they were behind your father's assassination, but with no proof, even you knew it would be the biggest mistake to charge against them, despite your personal desires.
"i already told the drivers they had to take rout b for a while, but we can't let them just keep what's our" you explained to katsuki once he arrived. "those drugs have to get in town by us, damnit". it was clear how frustrated you were, those assholes had mess with your and your father's hardwork.
"if we retaliate, a war will unchain. your father tried to avoid that for years"
"and see how he ended up" bakugou didn't know if it was the anger, or you talking. "we will lose everyone's respect if we don't do something, they killed dozens of our people, katsuki".
he was trying hard to stay objective in that situation, but it was near impossible. a war would put you in more danger than ever, your life was at stake, and bakugou wasn't sure if he was willing to risk it. growing up by your side, your father taking him in when his parents died, you were his only family. more than that, he loved you. the only reason he was able to do his job right, was the fear of losing you. your head was already valued in millions, how could he protect you in the middle of a conflict, that would end only with your death or the kazuhito's leader's death? your power was bigger than theirs by little, but they did something that reckless, which meant they thought they had out powered you. had they? or were they just bluffing? had they miscalculated?.
"we're taking action, wether you support me or not" you looked into each other's eyes, you knew him enough to understand his fear, just not the reason behind it. your voice softened "but i'd much rather do it with you by my side".
"you're the boss" he spoke, already regretting it "i'll schedule a meeting so the high charges let everyone else know, i'm staying at your place so we can trace a plan".
and there you were now, being reprimanded by bakugou. he was extremely tired, he decided to stay with you until things were calmer, which could be several months from then. getting up at six a.m, going to sleep past midnight, being always looking for possible threats, it had given him bags under his eyes.
"i'm sorry" you said once you were alone with him, it was only then that you could let your guard down "i'm making this harder for you".
"yeah, you are. but it's my job, after all" that came out wrong, he thought. it wasn't his job, it was his fucking life purpose. he wanted you to live a long, happy life, as hard as it seemed.
"i guess it is" deep down, his response disappointed you.
"hey, look at me" out of nowhere, his body was insanely close to yours, you felt his breath in your face as he lifted your chin with his finger "there's nothing i wouldn't do for you, got that, dumbass?"
for a brief moment, the taste of his lips was all you could think about. i bet they're soft. but as fast as it started, it was over, katsuki pulled away harshly, inventing an excuse to leave. he had flown too close to the sun, so close that it burned his skin.
a few more people went to see you that day, asking for diverse permissions, advice and stuff like that. since it had been slow, compared to other times, you decided to home early. a call to your team, and the car was already outside. bakugou left instructions for your departure, because he had things to do somewhere else, much to his displeasure. you were accompanied by your escorts to the doors of the building, that seemed like a normal office compound. there were waiting two other guards, making a total of six people protecting you. way to go, bakugou.
"how's your wife, ryota?" you asked the driver. of course, not everyone fitted in the same car, so you got into the second one, middle seat, between a built up woman and a big man. you tried to remember everyone's name, but it was difficult.
"she's good, ma'am, sends her regards" he smiled at you over the mirror.
"and the baby? he must be a month old, right?" at the memory of his child, his face lightened "you should take some days off, i bet your wife and son miss you"
"i have a duty with you, m–" a loud impact interrupted him, the front glass had exploded. the car had an abrupt movement back and forward, all you could see was blood, everywhere.
the woman next to you took her gun out, in order to protect you , you thought, completely wrong. before everyone could react to her act, she shot the guard in front of you.  you looked at your side, searching for someone alive, the same bullet that had killed ryota was in the guard's at your right forehead. besides you , the only other person was that woman. if she hadn't glasses on, that stare could've seen throughout your soul. then you remembered, katsuki made you bare with a knife under your sleeve. with a weird move, you felt its sharpness against your skin, it was there, but she read you like a book. before you could even pull it out, another shot stroke followed by a intense pain in you thight. the bitch had shot you. you blamed it on the adrenaline, because nothing hurt. what happened after was a couple of blurry images in your memory.
bakugou had called you more than a hundred times, you, the drivers, the guards, everyone in his fucking team, but no one knew anything. the cameras at your house never showed you arriving, your phone's location was off. he was out of his head, if he didn't hear from you in the next five minutes, someone's going to die. he rushed into his car, following your rout at a dangerous speed.
both cars were full of bullet holes, and every guard he had hired was dead. there wasn't a place without blood. tears of pure rage came to his eyes, fuck, it was his fault. he started to look for you, but the whole world was spinning around him. where were you? where was your body? were you alive?, this couldn't be happening. he had left you unprotected, alone, and now you could be dead, because of his uselessness. his phone vibrated in his pocket.
"sir, we– we have– the kazuhito's are here" he left as fast as he came. they had touch you, they had taken you away from him, and he wasn't going to let them get away with it, even if he had to go against a whole army, whoever was behind it all was going to pay.
a man in a suit was sitting in the chair of your office, smoking a cigarette, as calm as a rock. katsuki was so close to rip his head of right there, that somebody had to hold him down. his own people updated him, saying that he had gone into the building alone, with no weapons of any kind, not even a cellphone.
"where the fuck is she?" he crashed his hand against the desk.
"ah, mr. bakugou, please take a se–"
"tell me where she is right now if you want to keep your head, fucking bastard" his hand had wondered to the tip of the gun in his belt, menacing to blow up at any second.
"you won't do that, mr., if i don't return to my people in one hour, she'll be so fucked up that not even you will recognize her" a laugh surge grom bakugou, a dark, cold laugh.
"i don't have to kill you, then" one of the man's hand rested in the desk, like asking for katsuki to rip it off his body. as you did, he also carried knifes under his shirt. in less than a second, one of them was buried into the man's hand. he screamed, both in shock and pain, giving your bodyguard a hatred look. "what do you want, shitface?"
"i-it's quite simple, actually" his face was white as paper, and even though he wanted to talk normally, his voice shivered "we want you to take over the y/l/n's business, under our command of course" he let out a sigh, trying to keep his composure and ignoring his bleeding hand "if you– if you agree, she will have to leave japan and never..."
bakugou won't agree to that. not now and not ever. to give away what you and your father built from scratch, and spent decades keeping safe, was like killing your child, and your father's memory. to send you away, alone, where he most likely won't see you again in years, was also off the table. it wasn't funny anymore. he started walking around the man's chair, picking up his sleeves. he checked the clock in the office, he had forty-five minutes with the man, meaning, forty-five minutes to make him talk. he ressourced to every fast interrogation method he knew. the people outside the door weren't surprised when they heard the man's screams, even wondering what had taken so long for the boss to start acting. katsuki was never a patient man. his senses were blocked, he couldn't hear anything but screams and begging, all his eyes could see was pain through all the man's body, his hands felt nothing but warm blood. but for the first time in a while, he wasn't enjoying it. he was doing it out of need, the need to save you. every minute that went by, was a minute were your life risked. he never felt so close to losing his sanity.
"outside the city! she's in one of our safe houses outside the city! i don't know which, please stop!" ten minutes before the timeline he finally gave up. your intelligence had all their safe houses, storages, garages, every location needed. not a second passed when one of yours men delivered a map with all the points marked. there were five in total.
"throw him outside in ten minutes" he shouted, walking to the armory "two teams, six people each, my fucking people, hear me? now, dammit! we're leaving in a minute, if i have to go by my fucking self, i'll do it"
when he was armed to the teeth, almost a dozen of people followed him outside. they were his most trusted men and women, being trained together, he knew they were as skilled as him, and they were all willing to put their life's at stake for you, their boss. in the car, bakugou barked the instructions. he had narrowed it down to two possible locations with all the information he had. if they had to kill every person in those places, then be it. he's going to get you back.
