A Work In Progress For My Hyrule Warriors x Linked Universe Fanfic (Character List) :)
Lemme know what you think, and put your thoughts below! Basically, all the heroes were dropped off in the middle of Warriors' era for their first meeting. Who will they trust? And how much blood will be spilled?
“Heroes”
Warriors- The general of the Hyrule troops. He is also the first to meet with all the new Links brought by Hylia.
Mask(Time)- The first Link that appeared in the war. He stays in his child form except in dire situations.
Tune(Wind)- The second Link to appear, joining with Tetra. The two of them will take a bit to adjust to solid ground and not endless waves.
Spirit (Toon Link)- Appeared soon after Tune with Phantom. All four know they’re relatives, but keep it on the down low. For now, both Tune and Spirit are around the same age.
Sky- Fi personally introduced Sky to the rest of the heroes, having vanished in the middle of the night once she sensed his presence. Sky suffers from breathing problems and is mostly kept on the backlines as a last resort.
Artemis/Sheik- The ruler over Hyrule, and is regarded as the main general (with Warriors as her backup). She only dresses as Sheik for recon missions, or if she wants to get away from everyone.
Tetra- She uses her guns for range, providing covering fire for the troops. She is also a powerful sword wielder. She also is the best at controlling ships and loves water-based missions.
Phantom (Toon Zelda)- One of the many powerhouses in the troops due to her possessive abilities. Although many people can see her, hitting her is a different story. She has gotten very good at dodging while she’s separated from her body.
Linkle- Due to her clumsiness and lack of directions, Linkle is barely on the battlefield except if the fight is close to the main base. She is used mostly to gather supplies and teach less experienced troops how to fire crossbows.
Impa- She trains all new troops and is a close friend of Artemis. She is also a massive powerhouse.
Lana- A powerful sorcerer and healer. Due to her and Cia’s unique circumstances, she is mostly used as a healer and support, helping those who suffer wounds during battles.
Darunia-
Ruto-
Fi-
King Daphnes-
Medli-
Marin-
Neutral
Midna-
Twilight-
Agitha-
Ravio-
Tingle-
Skullkid/Majora-
“Villains”
Ganondorf (General Villain)-
Cia (Warriors’ Villain)-
Zant (Twilight’s Villain)-
Ghirahim (Sky’s Villain)-
Volga (Warriors’ Villain)-
Wizzro (Warriors’ Villain)-
Yuga (Legend’s Villain)-
Astor (Wild’s Villain)-
Bellum (Wind’s Villain)-
Onox (Legend’s Villain)-
Vaati (Four’s Villain)-
Octavio (General Villain)-
Four- Cia was able to manipulate Four to her side by promising to revive Shadow. They only joined after seeing Vaati’s revival with their own eyes. Nobody knows about the Colors (besides Vaati, but the sorcerer is keeping it a secret).
Wild- With his shattered memories, Cia was easily able to convince Wild that the heroes were the bad guys in the situation, saying that they were the reason why he was brought here and away from his era. Wild is a soldier at heart and dutifully follows the orders of the person who helped him first, Cia.
Hyrule- Hyrule, in a new era filled with bloodshed and violence, was reduced to his paranoid and aggressive behavior from his past. He lashes out like a wild animal, yet will retreat as soon as a drop of his blood is spilled. Only Cia and Ganondorf know about the magical abilities of his blood and will collect it to heal/revive those who fall in battle. The only reason why he stays with the villains is due to Cia’s kindness towards him. Is it manipulation? Or does she have a soft spot for the hero?
Legend- Legend is not trustful of anyone besides Hyrule, who he knows is his predecessor. He stays with the villains just to keep an eye on the other. He doesn’t trust the other villains, but he also doesn’t trust the heroes. They’re all suspicious in his eyes.

With the release of Echoes of Wisdom, I wanna take this moment to bring to everyone's attention the fact that the Zelda series, in it's nigh 30 year history, has a grand total of only 5 villainesses:
- Veran from the "Oracle" series.
- Twinrova, who never got her own game because OoS never got made.
- Lady Maud from Tri-Force Heroes.
- Hilda (who was an antagonist, but not really a Villainess)
- Cia from the first Hyrule Warriors (which Nintendo will INSIST isn't canon even if we know better)
So yeah. 5 Villainesses in almost 30 years, two of which don't count and one of which was a joke... (I COULD count Aveil, but she's usually a minor antagonist, not a full villain)
Now that I think about it, I can't think of a videogame franchise from Japan other than Final Fantasy and Fire Emblem with more than 5 villainesses... (Outside of fighting games, and even then!)
All this to say, I hope EoW gives us a bait-and-Switch and gives us another evil lady instead of just Ganon again!

Demise's war tore her people apart. The numbers dwindled. Some refused to join the war. Others mingled with the Hylians. Some were convinced to join Demise's forces, believing that he was the only chance they had for survival. From what Cia gathered, what emerged was no longer recognizable, but some of her people still joined them with the hope that their fate would be different.
For the most part, her people watched the White Goddess, She who was deigned by the Sacred Three to protect the land. They swore to aid Her however they could to protect the land and bring back peace. Cia was among them, although she had no idea what the White Goddess wanted from her.
It was hard to think about when she watched the warrior chosen by the White Goddess.
"He's not yours," Impa told her, watching the White Goddess and her chosen warrior. The Goddess's Loftwing allowed the Hylian to pet him, which was unexpected and a point in his favor. The crimson Loftwing was unhappy with the lack of courage of the Hylians. This one, though, had only shown strength of heart so far.
He was handsome, too. It stung a little to see how well he stood beside the White Goddess.
"I never said he was," Cia said stiffly. One would think the Hylian would belong to no one, but the White Goddess seemed to have made a strange claim on him. She offered him Her blade and watched the Hylian mold it for his mortal hand.
Impa grunted, unimpressed. Cia didn't look at her. She watched the White Goddess and Her Chosen.
He was very handsome. Brave. Good with his hands. Cia could see how he had attracted the attention of the White Goddess and Her Loftwing. It was a shame Hylians lived such short lives.
"Has the Goddess spoken to you about Her plans yet?" Cia murmured. Cia knew there was a plan, but Demise and his assaults left everything unstable.
"Not yet." Impa crossed her arms over her chest. "I know She has a plan, though. She will reveal it to us when She is ready."
Of course. Cia couldn't help but hope it would be soon. She knew Demise was planning a major assault, and it made her nervous. She was a sorceress, not a warriors like Impa, and her magic wasn't as strong as Demise's. She wasn't sure how she could help.
It was also shameful but she hoped she could have some time with the Goddess's Chosen. She thought it was only polite to introduce herself to the one who would wield the Goddess's Blade. Surely it would be all right to wish him luck in battle.
Cia never got the opportunity.
She never talked with him before his sacrifice. She never saw him fall.
"Link," the White Goddess called him, grieving, before She gave Cia her task. It was a heavy burden, but one Cia was glad to do, even as her own heart was pained. She wished she had the chance to at least speak with Link, if only once.
Cia never expected to see that shining spirit again.
And again.
And again.
Time dragged on slowly, but Cia told herself it was all right. She was doing her duty to the White Goddess. She knew that one day she would see Link's bright spirit again.
She was so distracted by Link's spirit returning to her that she didn't notice a familiar dark spirit creep toward her.
Even after all of these centuries, Link's spirit was so beautiful.

Kokiri is my friend's oc from @thatbrokenpromise
AO3
Please reblog to show your support! Likes do nothing.
Kokiri hovered, his arms suspended above him, wrists shackled with chains that led to nowhere. Cia stalked in circles around him, heels clicking on the floor, enjoying the spectacle of his vulnerability.
“How wonderful that you have decided to join me,” she sang, coming to a halt in front of him. “I haven’t had much time to properly meet your acquaintance… finally, we can remedy that.”
A small vial materialized in her hand, and she smiled at him expectantly. “Open up.”
Kokiri hissed at her through his teeth, and she grabbed his jaw herself and forced his mouth open. She tilted his head back and poured the contents of the vial down his throat, careless as he choked on it, trying to keep it out.
“Be a good boy and swallow that,” Cia murmered, releasing him only once she was sure that he had. “I came across this little gift a while ago, but I had nobody to give it to… until now. I had hoped for a different test subject, but you will do just fine.”
Kokiri coughed, waiting uneasily to see what the drug had done. He didn’t feel anything yet, but Cia’s anticipation clearly meant that something would happen soon.
She circled around him again, stopping once she was out of sight. “You dyed your hair,” she observed, running her fingers through it. “I seem to be collecting them- men with red hair, that is.”
Kokiri’s growl harshly cut off into a gasp as her fingers made another pass, starting again at his scalp. The feeling of a stranger playing with his hair, unpleasant as it was, had been a predictable sensation, but now he could feel every individual strand of hair tugging against his skin. He leaned his head back, hoping to relieve the pressure, but she only pulled harder with a delighted giggle.
“Oh, has it sunk in already?” Cia asked, coiling a lock of hair tight around her fingers. “That little treat helps you feel everything, bright as day. You’re just like my hero, I know I can’t make you beg-”
Her hand jerked, plucking only a few hairs from Kokiri’s head but it felt like the pain of an entire chunk torn away. His scalp, all of his skin, was so suddenly oversensitive and what should have been a moment of pain lingered, a tingling burn that spread all the way across his head.
“But I can make you scream,” Cia whispered in his ear. She held it as her lips were a breath away, her long nails piercing the tender flesh at the pointed tip. Kokiri made a noise somewhere between a growl and a whimper and tried to flinch away, but the restraints- physical and magic- didn’t let him move.
Her hand didn’t leave his ear until she was facing him once again, then she reached to pull his bound hands down. She held one of his hands in both of hers, turning it this way and that like she was fascinated by it. She looked up at Kokiri with a bright smile, making sure that he was still watching as she took one of his fingers and-
It wasn’t supposed to hurt that much. He wasn’t supposed to pinpoint every degree of rotation, feel the intimacy of each fractal of his shattered bone as Cia broke it with a snap that rang in his ears louder than his own screams. He was supposed to be able to breathe through the agony and recover before she broke the next finger, and the next, each one sending Kokiri further into desperate sobs.
He couldn’t think past the pain as she moved to his other hand, and he blinked away black spots from his vision as he slowly realized that she had finished. It hurt to even consider trying to move his hands, and he focused on catching his breath as her hands rose to his face instead.
“How exquisite,” Cia mused, cupping his cheeks with a firm touch that was almost a distraction from the pain of his mutilated fingers. A whine grated from his throat as she traced the track of his tears, her nail trailing down his face with all the delicacy of a knife through the cheek. She lifted her finger from his chin, smiling thoughtfully at the bloody tear quivering at the tip of her nail, then she flicked it aside and turned away. She paused, something catching her eye, and she strode to the window, Kokiri momentarily forgotten.
“Well,” she growled, fists clenching at her sides. “It looks like our quality time alone is coming to an end. I wasn’t expecting company so soon.”
Kokiri couldn’t see from where he was suspended, but he dared to hope that the other heroes were navigating the courtyard as she spoke. Just as he and a few others had, when Far and Minish were trapped in this very room…
Cia lost sight of them and she whirled away from the window, her calculated coolness slipping away like it had never been there at all. She stalked over to her dresser and snatched a shiny bauble, tossing it in her hand. “I was having FUN!” she screamed, and threw it at Kokiri.
He was paralyzed by her magic still, unable to duck away as it smashed into his face. It shattered on impact, glass shards inbedded in his skin with an agony that wiped his mind of anything but the pain. He screamed, and screamed more as the glass flexed inside his cheek.
The door slammed open and Cia abruptly pulled her magic, letting Kokiri crash to the floor. He landed on shattered fingers and broken glass, and didn’t have the coherency to be grateful as he blacked out.

Bloodied Halls
Bonds of a Lineage pt.2
Tumblr media
Wild swung the bright blue blade with a new fury. The red of their bodysuits were starting to match the red of their blood. Their sickles littered the floor, wielded only by corpses now.
Wild tried not to think of the hardcore washing his tunic would need. Not to mention the Old Man’s white tunic, already stained with the dirt and grime of the prison-fortress that Cia had them stuck in.
He chopped another head off, dodged another sickle, and blocked another arrow. He found himself pushed against the Old Man’s back again, his grunt the only indication that it was him. He didn’t have time to put on his armor before the onslaught happened. He was as bare as he could be now. That armor was his shield. With a claymore like the biggoron sword, there is no way to have both a shield and the sword out.
“You still doing alright over there?” Wild yelled over the chaos.
“What, you still think I’m too old for this?” Wild could hear the grin in his voice.
“No! It must feel weird fighting without your armor!” Wild sliced another Yiga’s chest open, their intestines peaked through the cut.
“I actually feel a lot lighter without it.” Time sliced a Yiga clean in half, their torso disconnected from their lower half. “Duck.” Wild obeyed without question, squatting to the ground. Time threw himself into a spin attack, chopping down everything and everyone in a five foot radius.
Wild sprung back up and used his blade to deflect an arrow ready to embed itself into Time’s back. Wild let out a battle cry as he skewered a Yiga. His blade burst into blinding blue shards.
Wild cursed and bashed an oncoming Yiga with his shield. The next one got an elbow to their kidney, they fell to their knees and another stomped on their head. Wild let a brief laugh escape him as he watched the fate of his enemy.
In his periphery, Wild saw a Yiga disappear and was quick to jump to the side. The Yiga reappeared above him, but descended slowly. Wild felt a grin pull at his face.
He took out his slate and swiped until he reached his weapon tab. A knight’s claymore, a soldier’s halbert, a guardian axe, a royal claymore, and a royal broadsword. He tapped on his royal broadsword and got to cutting.
Time soon continued regularly. More slashing and more blood. Time’s grunts became louder and the Yiga kept coming. As easy as these pests were easy to cut down, they were still getting tired. Their limbs were working against them and straining against the hilt of their blades.
“Old Man!” Wild felt the panic begin to set in. There was no end in sight. How long had he been hacking recklessly? How long did he have left? Had the adrenaline worn off?
“I know!” Time’s voice came out as a sort of growl, his teeth definitely bared.
The tip of a sickle had just barely caught Wild’s side, but the gash was far worse than it needed to be. Wild grit his teeth together and chopped the Yiga down.
“Shit!” Wild dropped his shield and used his hand to try and put pressure on his wound. He felt tears prickle in his eyes. He didn’t know if it was because of the pain or because he knew how this fight would inevitably end.
It would end in two bodies wasted on some unknown ground in some unknown place. His brothers would never know what happened to him, he’d never see Zelda or Sidon or Purah or Robbie or Teba or Riju or Yunobo or Tulin or Hudson or-
“You are all useless! What the heck guys!” Wild knew that voice. “I have others to deal with and Lord Ghirahim just wanted this one thing from us! I just-”
“That is enough, you waste of space!” He didn’t know that voice though. The Yiga stepped back and Wild was actually able to see the carnage the two had created. Bodies laid upon bodies upon bodies, the blood running like rivers down a mountain. He couldn’t help but try to step away. He had bumped against Time once more.
“Get them out! I’ll just do it myself.” Just like that, the Yiga disappeared. Not even Kohga stayed behind.
Time shoved Wild back and Wild fell on his butt. Time stood in front of Wild with his claymore pointed out. Wild could hear the other man’s breathing. It was just as rapid as his own. Wild fought his body to stand up once more but was met with resistance. When he finally stood, their new opponent spawned a sword out of nowhere.
“Truely, how am I to be whimsical when working with someone as incompetent as he?” The gray man shook his head and flipped his hair. Wild knew his hair was far more majestic than this want-to-be’s.
“What was it again? Gary or something?” Wild saw Gary’s eye twitch at Time’s words. “You were in the War of Eras, right?”
“Fuck kinda villain name is Gary?” Wild tried to hold in his laugh. Time chuckled, his eyes never left their new opponent.
Gary groaned in frustration. “My name is not Gary, you absolute imbecile!” Gary spawned what looked to be knives. “My name is Ghirahim, and you’d think you’d be kinder to me considering you’re at my mercy!” Ghirahim lunged forward and Time blocked it swiftly.
“Champion, offense!” Time blocked another assault. Wild quickly tapped at his slate. His royal bow materialized into his hand and his arrows filled his quiver.
Time grunted as he swung his blade down. Ghirahim jumped back to dodge the blow. He pointed to Time and his small daggers raced at the man.
Wild backflipped and drew his bow. Time slowed once more and Wild shot all twelve of the daggers. Wild’s feet touched the ground and Time charged forward, Ghirahim met him half way. Wild’s bow stayed drawn, waiting for a time to release the bow’s tension.
Ghirahim spawned more daggers. One by one, they flew at Time. Time met each dagger with his blade in a spin attack. At the end, Wild could see the fatigue in Time’s eyes. Ghirahim must’ve seen it too. The demon dashed forward, a tight grin on his face.
Time fell to one knee, the biggoron sword keeping him from laying himself out.
Wild let his arrows fly as he moved to Time. Ghirahim knocked his arrows away like it was nothing. He would get to Time first.
The Rancher’s gonna want his rascal back, the words echoed in his mind even as an explosion blasted him backwards. Wild felt fire lick at his body when he landed. Wild coughed and patted out any flames that still tried to destroy his already torn clothes. He made the mistake of patting his side. Wild let out a strangled yelp, the gash making itself known once more.
“Old Man?” Wild felt his tears finally fall. “Link!”
“I’m here!” Wild jerked his hand away before Time even emerged from the smoke. “It’s just me. We’ll be ok.”
“What…” Wild looked over to the burning bodies of Yiga soldiers.
“It’s called Din’s Fire, I can explain it later! I still have a little magic left, we need to go now!” Time pulled Wild to his feet. Wild leaned against Time. Time brought his hand closer to his face. “You’re…damn it all!”
Time’s hand began to glow green.
“No you don’t!” Ghirahim broke from the smoke, daggers shooting through behind him. Wild heard Time gasp. Just as quickly as the explosion happened, Time’s hand turned blue and a sapphire crystal surrounded the two as Time held Wild close. “You coward!” The tings of Ghirahim’s blades hitting the crystal grew frantic.
“Champion?” Time’s voice was hoarse. “I’m sorry I couldn’t do more.” He combed his fingers through Wild’s hair. “My magic is depleting quickly. I’ll hold it for as long as I can but I’ll likely pass out in the end.”
The Champion embraced Time tightly, feeling his own eyes start to close. Wild nodded against Time’s chest and let his eyes close.
“I love you, Link.”
The assault on the crystal had stopped long before the two passed out.

Fuck I’m still working on the Modern Dream! AU but now I have a HW! AU and-
Look, who remembers this show:
Tumblr media
Now, here me out:
AU crossover with Wars as Randy and Mask as Howard. Wars having to fight monsters and shit while in 9th grade
And maybe Mask eventually joining in as the Fierce Deity who replaces the Tengu
I think the AU would be neat.
Also don’t know who to replace McFist with, and I’m trying to figure out is the Sorcerer would be Ganondorf or Cia

Whump count: Cia being a Creep
Word count: 590
Summary: Cia requires assistance from her prisoner, Link.

Cia stormed into the bedroom and stood over Link, forcing him to crane his neck to look at her. The fury on her face was nothing new, and Link wondered what he was in for today.
“Get up,” she snapped, and uncoupled the end of the chain from the floor. She yanked it, the chain around Link’s neck making him choke like a leashed dog. He quickly stood to ease the pressure.
She dragged him out of the room and down the hall, leading him to a parlor he had never seen before.
“This is not a reward,” she told him “You haven’t earned one yet. If you behave, I might consider it.”
She removed his gag and he wasted no time asking, “What do you want from me?”
“So many things, darling,” she purred, and he flinched as she stroked his hair. Then the fleeting moment of softness was gone as fast as it had come. “But that’s for later. My other guest is acting up and I need you to talk some sense into him.”
Link’s heart plummeted. He had been captured alone. Surely she hadn’t found-
A knock came from the door on the opposite side of the room and Cia cast a concealing glamour on the chain. “Oh, and keep up appearances. Don’t want to scare him, now do we?”
Then the door opened and pair of guards pushed Mask into the room. The boy didn’t appear to be hurt or even frightened. The kid stood his ground and growled at Cia. “So you did capture Link!”
“No no no, you misunderstand, child,” she tutted. “Link is my guest. I treat him just as well as I treat you. Don’t I, dearest?”
Her nails dug into Link’s shoulder and she hissed too quietly for Mask to hear. “Watch your tongue or I won’t hesitate to make him scream.”
Mask watched, wary and confused, as Link attempted a smile.
“Everything’s fine,” Link lied. Cia nudged him and he scrambled for more words. “Um. Please be good, sprite. Do what they tell you. If you were calling for me, I can’t hear you anyway.”
“Thank you, Link. You better listen to your brother so you don’t get in trouble. Run along now,” Cia sang, making shooing motions at Mask.
The kid’s face twisted into a scowl. “There’s something you’re not telling me. Do you really expect me to believe that?”
Cia’s grip on Link’s shoulder grew tighter.
“Mask, listen to me,” Link said, his tone as calm and gentle as he could manage. “I need you to be on your best behavior while we’re here. That’s all you have to do, and everything will be okay. Can you do that for me?”
Mask pouted, but he must have seen the pleading in Link’s eyes. “Fine.”
The boy let the guards take him from the room without complaint, and Link shuddered as soon as he was gone.
“Not bad,” Cia mused. “Maybe my choice to keep the child around was a good idea after all.”
“You better not hurt him,” Link said, his voice shaking with restrained rage.
“Yes, yes, he’ll be fine as long as he keeps quiet,” Cia assured him. “You, on the other hand…” A cruel smile touched her lips and she tugged the chain to remind Link that it was there. “I’m going to enjoy this,” she whispered, her voice featherlight as her touch was anything but.
Link shuddered, his only solace in the fact that Mask would be spared from the pain he was about to experience.

I was looking over some things I had asked others and my ADHD got to thinking without my consent but made me laugh.
Ok so @maesonc-artistic-adventures made art of what Warriors’ dragon armor would look like and I commented about Wild stealing that outfit. Fast forward, I saw my ask for @ask-the-nine-links for Halloween that involves art from @dfanart and my mind went spinning.
I just realized I mentioned 3 people. Oh well.
Anyways I headcanon that Cia (no she’s not dead, yet) is punished for her actions (like she should) and she can’t teleport directly into the castle. In fact, there’s only one place where she is able to teleport to by the castle before she can go in if she has business. That place? The stables.
Since I also headcanon Epona being severely protective of Warriors and prefers crushing things with her hooves, Cia is in for a world of pain every time she visits. Now you’re probably wondering ‘well couldn’t Epona accidentally kill her?’ No, because I headcanon (i’m using that word a lot in this post) that Cia and Lana can’t be killed normally. Also one can’t not be killed without killing the other. That’s why she hasn’t been executed yet.
Anyways my mind went to Wild coming upon her after she got trampled again and thinking she was dead, steals her clothes right off her body. Because you cannot tell me he would not do that. Wild goes “She’s dead, she doesn’t need these anymore.”
Wild would totally do that and probably change into her clothes right there before going back his brothers. Only to be told she’s not dead, just severely unconscious. He still would not be giving back her clothes though.
