observations from people watching at the therapist thanksgiving:

everyone seemed to like each other

no one mentioned a single thing about politics

there was not even a small argument or passive aggressive comment made

the cooking and set up and clean up was not only done by women

there was alcohol and weed but consumed "normally" rather than in mass amounts. also had the experience of my therapist offering to pass me the joint and that was unique (i didn't take it though)

not one, not two, but three dogs

#it was crazy tbh #like ohhh right you're all enlightened #GREAT houseplants also #i'm not posting pictures of someone else's house on the internet obviously but he has this begonia that is the same kind as mine but it's s #huge that it extends out on the ceiling towards the middle she's insaneeee #he's got a really nice oxalis too and a huge palm or something that basically makes a plant cave around the computer desk and a big monster #*monstera #and a shit ton of other ones. i covet their plants but the whole house is really cozy and nice. and the food was good #also his wife is SO fucking cool i want to be her friend #anyway i probably wouldn't have guessed that a dinner invite from ones therapist would be a good idea before but it actually did go well #although there were four pumpkin pies so most of the one i brought didn't get eaten 😔 but that means i get some so it's fine #me
