Can you do some headcannons about Peter and Azalea. I think it’s really cute that Jon and Mar’i’s kid dates Kathy and Maya’s!

They are super cute!! And I really love them lol

They met when they were 5. Peter and Charlie were meeting Epsilon for the first time. 

All the Epsilon girls saw how Azalea shifted when she saw Peter the first time. 

Most the adults (jokingly) make bets on when they start dating.

Peter and Azalea grow up not knowing the other person likes them back. 

They bond over their mutual love of art. Peter lean more towards drawing and painting while Azalea is obsessed with photography.

As they hit their teen years, they’re still pretty close friends. 

Peter starts entering art competitions, a lot of his stuff focusing on identity and what that means to him. 

Azalea has all sorts of candid pictures of Peter working. Some

Azalea has her own little photography buisness by the time she’s 16--taking family portraits, engagement photos, wedding photos, graduation, etc. It started as her offering to do it for free for the Epsilon and Omega families (which they all refused to let her do it for free, insisting on paying her). 

They date other people throughout high school, but still keep that deep crush for each other. 

Peter and Azalea get into really great art colleges....about a thousand miles apart...

They’re both dropping major hints that they like the other during this time. And the other is thinking ‘I’m misreading this situation.’

He leaves before her so she comes over to help him pack up his car. They hug good bye, both not sure what to say. Peter gets in the driver seat, sits there for like a minute, before he jumps out of the car. Azalea’s really confused what he’s doing until he cups her face and kisses her

All their sisters are screaming “FINALLY” while Azalea kisses him back

His teleportation helps a lot with the distance, along with them FaceTiming and texting a lot. 

While they were making out in Peter’s room, Peter’s sisters all burst in. Peter, on instinct, held onto Azalea and teleported away. Jon and Mar’i were on Peter’s side (having flashbacks of Jon’s brothers doing that to them)

Laney and Rosemary pretend to be their respecitve sibling and act all dramatically awkward around each other. “’Oh, Aza, I think you’re such a swell gal!’” “’Golly gosh, Pete! I think you’re a cool cat--’” “LANEY, I DON’T TALK LIKE THAT!” “ROSEMARY, JE VOUS COUPERAI LE CUL SI VOUS NE VOUS ARRETEZ PAS!”

Azalea’s second language is French, via Maya, while Peter speaks Spanish fluently (thanks to Tia Milagro and his parents encouragement for him to understand his biogical family’s background). They have been friends long enough that Azalea will speak in French and Peter answers in Spanish. 

They’re both super soft okay...

Literally everyone gives them so much shit for taking so long to realize they liked each other XD

Daisy’s Family Headcanons

Whelp a few days ago I had the mixed bag of watching “Daisy’s Diary”. It’s the short that inspired Daisy’s wonderful Ducktales 2017 design, and had some cute donald and daisy stuff... for the first half, the second I could barely watch as his vision of married life was “I go to work all day then come home to a nagging wife who makes me do everything. I also get upset because she’s a human being who has to put effort into looking like she does. “ It really killed the momentum. esepcially since i’ts one of the few really romantic shorts with the two I could find, again only for the first half. But while I came in expecting a terrible second half and breezed and skipped through it as mucha s I could, I did find something I didn’t REMOTELY expect. Daisy has a  family.  And I don’t mean her nieces and unnamed sister, I mean three brothers (subbing in for HDL, using basically the same design), and more suprisingly a mother and dad. 

Now granted i’m sure mickey and donald characters have HAD parents before, but it’s still rare. Mostly it’s nieces and nephews, with goofy being one of the few dads I can think of in disney canon. But no here, while it’s for a short that’s about marriage and thus necessictating “meeting the parents” it’s still.. suprising. Before watching the short i’d pegged daisy and her sister as orphans like donald.. but now I wanted to flesh these characters out. SO here we are.  Daisy’s Mom: Janiss Duck (Named after her voice actress, Vivi Janiss) 

Janiss lived a hard life: She’s had to use a hearing aid since a young age (updated from the short giving her an old fashioned listening horn thing for a quick, terribly aged gag), and is deaf without it. Not only that but she worked hard for her education degree, and due to her parents refusing to put her through school, had to do so herself. It was working at her college that she met a fellow student and her future husband, Franklin Duck. The two married after graduation, and have been happy since, though being more of a realist than her husband she’s often frustrated with his flighty ways, but loves him all the same.  Despite a rough life, and being a stern parent when her twin daughters were born, she still loves her children dearly and dotes on them and fusses over them. She’s also supportive of her daughter’s dream: While she wasn’t sure at first, she eventually came around, seeing in her daughter the same drive she had at her age, and has been valuable emotional support as her adult daughter has tried her best to climb up in the fashion world and had to work for a lot of people who treated her like dirt, something Janiss knows all too well. Even being fully aware of this Janiss has still had to resist hte urge to sock Glamour in the face for her treatment of her daughter.  Janiss hard work has paid off however as she is currently headmistress at Daphne Gander Elementary, Duckberg’s finest private school, bought by gladstone’s mother at some point in the past and renamed from a name I do not have. She has won an award from the Elvira Coot Women’s Association and won the “Greater Callisota Educator of the Year” award three times, and the duckberg principal of the year award 5 times in a row.  Franklin Duck (Named not after any famous duck people but Franklin Sherman from the animated show “The Critic) 

Franklin is a bit of a lunatic, a bit of a weirdo.. but he’s also warm, kind and a loving husband and  father. He had a lifelong love of photography, adventure and taking the most of life and easily swept his future wife off her feet with his energy and kidness. And thanks to his wife’s far steadier career, Franklin’s been able to persue whatever gigs he pleased, while still bringing home a decent amount of money for his growing family. His “do it whenever the mood strikes me” style to his career DID however mean he was often home for his kids and more than happy to do the housework and other chores. The result was a chaotic but loving house and that attidue persits. And while he can drop in for some lunacy with his daughters, they do appricate him carring..e ven if they wished he’d call instead of randomly showing up in the bathtub.  Al, Carl, and Keno (Named for Al Talifino, Keno Don Rosa and Carl Barks) 

Daisy’s little brothers. I do see them aged up to their late teens due to being kids in this short with Daisy, as well as being inspried by @moonstoneflowers​ aging up of the nieces, but wanting to keep them the boys age. Plus it made no real sense to have daisy have TWO groups of 10-11 kids, nor did the age make sense with how old daisy’s parents would be int he reboot. So their teens.  Al is laid back, to the point of letharigc but highly creative.. he’s also high a lot of the time, but makes a point to never do it when the girls or, now that daisy’s seeing donald, boys will be around.  Carl is more of the sporting type, already having  a track scholarship and does fencing in his spare time. Despite this he’s a nice inclusive fellow. he also came out several years ago to his family’s unanmous acceptance.  Keno is a bit of a stickler, and can go on for hours and hours about how much he hates superheroes and other certain things that set him off, but is also a masterful artist, and a dedicated son, taking good care of both parents when he can.  Donna Duck: 

I decided after reading the aformentioned moonstone’s fanfic to go with the old tried and true , Rosa approved theroy of donna being daisy’s sister. Donna wasn’t as driven as her sister at first,  loving to party, have fun and generally not worry about the future.. till she ended up pregnant with a father who had no intrest in his incoming daughters and only agreed to help support them because Janis railed him out, but had no intrest in actually raising or ever knowing them.  Donna however ended up thriving under the pressure, quickly getting a job at a local party planning buisness for upstart buisness woman Brigitta Macbridge. In time her job and the buisness florished and when her boss moved on to start up other ventures, donna was givne the full reigns and with her families help was able to,  and stil lis able to juggle it with 3 daughters. Who I will get to at some point, but feel I must have time to think of hence April, may and june being absent for now, as I feel they should be as fleshed out as the boys.  For now this is where I leave things. I hope you enjoyed this.. either way it was nice to get it all out there.

    jack of all trades master of none - max caulfield. never moved to seattle, max got to stay and grow up with her friends her parents got divorced and she doesnt see her dad much anymore it must have been a weird domino effect of not moving on. growing up in the cloud max attended CONSTANCE BILLIARD SCHOOL FOR GIRLS in high school max was the girl that befriended her teachers at parties people thought it was a spectacle when she ate an edible and got too honest about people as jokes. the quirky art student that you saw taking pictures at pep rallies and sporting events - living life through the lens of her camera the art in her journal you wouldnt catch her speaking up often in groups of people when she was young. she had flings for girls and guys but shyed away from that most of the time except at parties and occasional dates... sleepovers. she always a step back from life willingly sidelining herself if people didnt drag her into things, she was almost a bit of a welcome mat. gullible and a bit naive with an indecisive nature it was easy for her to just let people take advantage of her because there was the part of her that was nosy and just wanted to get closer. 

now that shes older and attending BLACKWELL UNIVERSITY max has an ache for adventure she loves to go out at night and cause trouble, or for a walk in the woods by herself shes even dabbled in grafitti and bne. you would not call her a trouble maker by any means but there is that underlying want there to document she doesnt let people walk over her the same way they did in the past. shes still not sure in her art in her photography the girl is wishy washy about everything but shes learning to be stronger. shes still corny shes makes jokes like the moths in my head dont let me think, shes pretentious about her polaroid camera and black coffee and better than you indie music, she still the curious girl who swallowed her teddy bears eye just to see if she could. shes better at finding her voice shes trying to live a real life instead of just copying all the personality traits of those around her to fit social norms and breaking down in bathrooms over small things that overwhelm her. you can still find her in the back of classes with her headphones in, inner monologuing, but you can also find her painting in the woods or trying to start a fail tshirt business with her art on it because shes still self conscious, taking pictures of your friends wedding or your five year old sisters birthday party in her free time.

she has vivid day dreams of nose bleeds and death following her, the guilt she feels she still feels it all the danger she felt like she was in. it affects her because it seems so damn real it feels like something that happened to her, a girl she loves and cares about dying because of her - everyone she knows and loves dying because of her. the guilt eats away at her... but its not real right? shes not that indecisive right? this isnt her fault, she just cant shake it. it follows her and its so heavy that some days she doesnt even get out of bed.

Project Proposal

For my Curiosities and Obsessions twelve-week project I thought about which of my personal interests could be sustained and would provide a number of approaches; allowing me to create a developed body of work over the duration of the study. 

For this project I am going to create a photographic study in to Food. Food is a passion of mine and has always been a big part of family life whilst growing up, over the last few years I have started to enjoy the process of cooking food and the act of sharing a homemade meal with friends and family. One of the properties of food that has inspired me to stidy this title is the ability it has to bring a group of people together and induldge in a shared experience. Cook books and social media have also shown me the aesthetic appeal food has to all of us; which I will use as a tool to create engaging series of images based from a number of food related ideas. 

Idea 1: Food in Bristol

Bristol is a vastly diverse community creating a unique culture of arts and food expressed in hundreds of independent cafes, restaurant and street food vendors. As a starting point for my project I will approach food establishments in Bristol to colaborate on some photoshoots. From these shoots I will produce a number of sets of images that I can use to create photo series: food buisness owners/employee portraits, photos of produce and exterior and interior location photos; for example. A range of subject matters would allow me to use a wide range of mediums throughout this project and give me different potential avenues to develop my body of work. Inspired by my summer work and the research I did in to typology from practitioners such as Bernd Becher and Hilla Becher I could compile a typology series of food establishments in Bristol, potentially using large format which I learned during my analogue rotation in first year. 

Typology Ideas: (Hasselblad/digital with flash to keep consistent lighting?)

- Strict composition plates and drinks in restaurants, 3 course and a drink? I could approach the establishment and ask them to choose which dishes would best represent them (inspired by summer work beer mats)

- Typology of portraits 

Moving Image Ideas:

- Interview restaurant owners and produce a short video, just for supporting visual work if making a whole short film piece for each restaurant is unrealistic.

Outcome:

As an outcome from this idea and study I wouldvlike to produce a series of images with the subject of Bristol’s food scene, but also an informative, visual and practically useful zine or short book showcasing the vast array that Bristol’s food culutre has to offer. This would have an important element of text to support the images, giving local food tips, interviews with the buisness owners and background information about each palce. 

Having a more practical outcome for my project is a personal goal I have set myself after last year, I was not as happy with my final work as I would have liked. I feel as though having a more practical outcome will allow me to engage more and be passionate aout the project, in turn producing higher quality work.

Idea 2: Cooking and International Cuisine

Another approach I could take in my project to produce a body of photographic work centred around food would be cooking, a personal passion of mine mainly since starting university and living independently. My initial idea of how to create a responce to this is to produce a series of images, each with the subject of a different culuture’s cuisine. In my summer work I carefully constructed compositions around the main subject of the image to compliment and create a more convincing, and therefore more engaging, environment. (For example in my summer work I photographed a Gordon’s Gin beer mat so I created the scene of a gin and tonic being made. I did this by placing a gin bottle, a knife and lime and a glass filled with ice and clear bubble liquid (lemonade) - this helped create a more convincing and coherent image. However to sell the chance composition style of imagery I was intending I carefully placed the props very naturally. For this photo series I also chose complimenting bar snacks for each beer mat, for the Gordon’s Gin mat I chose pistachios because they are slightly green like the mar, and because pistachios could be considered a more ‘civilised’ bar snack over a packet of crisps.) For this idea I intend to take the same approach and construct carefully chosen compositions and props for each cuisine, e.g. chopsticks and oriental crockery if I was to do an asian dish.

Communality of Food:

For me one of the most fascinating and inspiring aspects of food is its ability to bring together a group of people and enjoy a shared experience. Food transcends all classes, races, and groups of people and binds us together with this undeniable need we have for food. Some of my favourite and most genuine times with friends and family has been sat around a dinner table. I feel as though this is a powerful subject that I could respond to to produce a body of work:

- dinner parties, sharing of food, sharing of drinks/alcohol, group images

- series of images of people bonding over food (maybe with no face to keep centre in on the food)

- alcohol and drink typology / series

- party photography for communal alcohol - 35mm, disposable or 4 shot camera

Moving Image Ideas:

- Film the cooking process to make an informative cooking video for each dish.

- Create a typology gif/short film like I did for my summer work.  

Outcome:

For this idea I would also like to produce a phyiscal zine of my images with text to support my final images. This zine could be an informative book on my favourite picks of international cuisine, the history behind different culutre’s food and recipes for each meal.
