I wanted to buy the 68 Comeback Special CD, but I don't want jumpscare shawn m*ndes and blake sh*lton ruining If I Can Dream - what the fuck were they thinking when they did that to it?

JUMPSCARE SHAWN AND BLAKE ADSJDFKDFKGL 😭💀 no, but...i wouldn't have a problem with that existing as a bonus track, IF the original version of elvis performing the song was actually on there, but it isn't, which is...insanity and some kind of travesty. and it's lousy that it's the only version of that album even available on physical now. they need to re-release it this year for the 55th anniversary and amend that, nobody asked for an "all-star" version of that song when it's incredible and iconic exactly as it is.

#when the remixed version of that song first came up for me randomly i had the same “what is this? why is this?” reaction.#the remastered version on the movie's soundtrack is spectacular though and that's another reason why the '68 special deserves a new release #i'd get a physical copy too if they hadn't done that so i completely understand you #anonymous #letterbox #my hot take is that i actually wish they hadn't added artists to any of his songs #(michael bublé's version of fever is good #but it's mixed into el's with the philharmonic why?)#minus on the film soundtrack where those mixes (like toxic las vegas which is a banger) had purpose/make sense #i was a dreamer
