First time every actually watching Eurovision! I took notes because I did not trust my memory of who was who:
Austria - Edgar Allen Poe (funny)
Portugal - Gossamer dress good energy
Switzerland - soldier ballad (meh)
Poland - Solo Tropical Brittany (catchy)
Serbia - SciFi theme bland music
France - pretty lady on a pretty horse, song forgettable
Cyprus - Pretty boy singing another generic ballad
Spain - They definitely had a vision
Sweden - I LIKE THE CLAWS, (isn’t this an older song?)
Albania - I like lead’s costume, forgot the song as soon as it started
Italy - Really like his voice, supposed to be inspirational? (why trampoline extras)
Estonia - ghost piano, Elsa??, super pretty voice
Finland - ALRIGHT BRINGING IT BACK, HUMAN CENTIPEDE??, CRYING WTF I LOVE IT
Czechia - I feel the lead wasn’t super strong, visuals were fun though, ponytail horror
Australia - synthwave car, visuals are way more intense than the song, SAVED IT WITH METAL
Belgium - WORK IT YAS, very fun and cool visuals, the fuck are those pants, top next to finland
Armenia - thank goodness is had a pace pickup, but not enough to save it, cool costume though
Moldova - Eye of sauron mf, great energy, FLUTIST DRAGON
Ukraine - terminator matrix, man work those screens, just a good song
Norway - haunting start, VOICE SO GOOD, rave witch queen I love her, WOW HIGH
Germany - just thank you Germany, costumes and vocals so fucking killer
Lithuania - pretty song and visuals, kinda forgettable though
Israel - Go unicorns! I guess, solid song, don’t know why it cracked me up
Slovania - good song, 70s heartthrob
Croatia - THAT SURE WAS SOMETHING, UNFORGETTABLE
UK - this song had no chance after the last one
And watching the results, SWEDEN HOW, but at least I liked Sweden even if it’s a lukewarm yay, we all know the real winner was Finland, and I am a Norway stan it’s official

Little piece of something I'm writing if u want
...
...
...
"What happened? Is everything okay? Farm's okay?" David asked upon catching sight of Jack.
"Yeah, farm's okay. Safe, I mean. Somethin' not a lot of people know is that it ain't always about the chance of losin' the farm or 'bout someone tryin' to buy ya out. It ain't always about that. There's a Hell of a lot of other problems to be had when ya live on a farm." Jack replied.
"So what's wrong?"
"Race's horse ain't doin' so good. We think she's coliced."
"What's that mean?"
"Like a stomach ache for horses, but it can kill 'em. Sometimes. We think it's bad, but we can't 'xactly afford a trip to the vet right now. Race is devastated."
"I bet."
"He's slept in the barn on a sleepin' pad next to her for the last three nights. She ain't gettin' much better."
"I'm so sorry. Is there anything I can help with?"
"Not really, Davey, unless you have fifteen thousand dollars lyin' around to get her surgery if she needs."
"I don't, I'm sorry."
"I guess just keep her an' Race in your prayers, then, yeah?"
"Of course."

i beg of you to please post about the equestrian events going on- i would love to hear your thoughts on them. i haven't been able to watch today bc family things so what were some of the standout moments so far, prediction, etc? you're like the only person ive seen in tags talking about eq lol
adfsgsfaf glad to know someone is willing to indulge the horse girl within me, god bless you anon.
Unfortunately I don't really have a lot of things to say at the moment, cuz all we've gotten so far is the dressage portion of eventing, and dressage has never really been for me, I've always preferred watching eventing cross country and jumping or just regular jumping, so for dressage at least I'm formulating my opinions just based on the posted results. Which are that I'm intrigued to see China place so high in the individual when that's never really been something they do, and I'm surprised that Australia is playing lower than I would have thought considering how much they've dominated eventing specifically (not surprised about the US placing lower in the individual but I am disappointed, guys pls get it together). I like that France is third in the team ranking thus far, for my own proclivities, and I'm happy that the US is actually not terrible in the team rankings. I'm expecting things to heat up once we get to the jumpings, and also to the individual sports outside of eventing. Cuz I know that Team USA has the Rave Horse (hell yeah) so that should get us a decent chance for a good placement in the Dressage Grand Prix, if not a medal (I want Rave Horse to win a medal so bad tho).
Opinions might change, but also with the time difference and the fact that the equestrian sports aren't super popular in the US this stuff is airing for me at, like, one in the morning, so I'll have to find a place online to watch it for the next month. Thankful that Team USA posted when the US is scheduled for cross country tomorrow, so that I can make sure to keep up.
