Thinking about that time the phrase "your mom" was banned at my elementary school because the kids said it so much that it annoyed the teachers. so we started saying "your dad" instead
#lizard-dumbass talks about stuff#text post#honorable mention goes to the time the phrase 'just det' was also banned (it basically means 'exactly' in swedish)#the only reason why it was banned is because the kids said it so much that it annoyed the crap out of the teachers#these phrases weren't even all that rude or impolite they were just annoying lmao#also another honorable mention goes to the fact that we weren't allowed to speak finnish during school hours outside of finnish class#it was a swedish speaking school incase that wasnt clear and we were only allowed to speak finnish during finnish class#that rule didnt seem to apply to any other languages though and i think i can vaguely remember speaking english at school out of spite#idk i guess it's just kinda funny how they tried to control our language back then#but then in secondary school the teachers allowed blatant hate speech and did absolutely nothing when students dropped slurs left and right
