It was getting harder and harder for Chloe to keep her frustration to herself. Eve was already becoming a problem and they were only halfway through the day. Lucifer had brought his girlfriend to the crime scene this morning without even asking Chloe if she was okay with it and when she told him that it wasn't okay, he threatened that he and Eve would go after the killer themselves and Chloe knew they would. So, she reluctantly agreed to let Eve join. It was the lesser of two evils. But, she immediately regretted it.

The first woman was loud and shrill and very hyperactive. In fact, Lucifer was practically chasing her around the bullpen like a father who brought his three-year-old daughter to work. She constantly talked about how she wanted to see Lucifer beat up the suspects. In fact, when they went to question Pony Boy and he asked for his lawyer, Eve told Lucifer to "torture the truth out of him until his lawyer shows up" and then proceeded to heavily make out with him as Chloe was handcuffing Pony Boy.

Even though Lucifer said he still wanted to be partners, he was definitely punishing Chloe. He came in every day and constantly talking about his sexcapades with Eve. If he wanted to upset Chloe it was working. Actually it didn't just upset her. It broke her heart and made her sick. But, she never said anything because she definitely deserved it. She had betrayed, screwing up any chance she had with him. Of course she snapped a LITTLE bit when he when he showed up at a crime scene wearing "orgy pants," but it actually seemed like he felt bad for upsetting her. For the past two days, it seemed like things were going back to normal between them, but then literally overnight, it seemed like he wanted to punisher even further by bringing his girlfriend.

When Lucifer and Eve started heavily making out, Chloe snapped. She was done with this. She wasn't putting up with this anymore. After slapping the bracelets on Pony Boy, she walked him to her car, doing her best to ignore the cringey couple. She heard Lucifer say something to Eve and they rushed to the cruiser. However, Chloe got Pony Boy in the car and drove off, leaving Lucifer and Eve standing there in shock. They could make their own way back to the precinct for all she cared. Hopefully, they'd forget about "punishing bad guys" and have another orgy at the penthouse.

Unfortunately, fifteen minutes after she got back and settled at her desk, she saw them coming down the stairs.

Aeron was one who could sense magic or something mystical when it approached. "Which one are you?" He meant god, demon or the like. "No. I just needed air and how the hell did you know? You've been snooping?"

The pomegranate is most famously attributed to the Greek goddess, Persephone. Though versions of the story differ: with some saying Persephone was tricked into eating pomegranate seeds to be trapped in the underworld, and some saying she willingly chose to eat the seeds.

Pomegranate's have a hard exterior that is tough to crack. Your hard shell is a natural protectant and keeps you safe from those that only wish to use you. Internally you are rich with bounties. You believe in living your life passionately and vibrantly. The idea of surrendering to a fate of being confined to anything, whether it be a relationship, a job, or family dynamic where you are not happy and lack agency is a terrifying prospect.

It is fears like this which also prevent you from opening up and showing vulnerability to those around you. However, like the pomegranate whose seeds sparkle like gemstones, you hide inside you incredible beauty that only the most worthy deserve to see.

The Keys - Cheryl/Lucifer

Cheryl admired the beautiful black Steinway piano in the middle of the club she’d just entered.  She walked over to it, circling it as she admired the pristine baby grand.  She’d only been in L.A. for a few days and already she’d found a club called Lux that she felt she could be comfortable in.

She glanced around quickly, then seated herself and let her fingers glide over the keys, confident that the loud dance music would drown out her noodling.

California wasn't a place he made a habit of visiting often, but with everything that had happened in New York he needed a break. He also needed to put some distance between himself and the broken heart he'd left behind. It wasn't the best of situations but he was certain that in time he'd be able to return to the city and to the nightclub he loved so much. Until then, he would find ways of enjoying himself in this new city. Magnus always found himself drawn to nightclubs and this one was definitely different than his own. It had been the sound of piano that dragged him in initially but sitting there at the bar it was the man next to him that held his attention. "The clientele here seem more intent on throwing themselves at the closest body."
