What are some examples of holistic health?
Wholeness is health. Health is holistic by nature.
Both reductionist and holistic medical approaches can be used, sometimes simultaneously.
A holistic approach to treatment promotes completeness and wellness. A balanced diet is good for you. Holistic nutrition refers to the addition of foods or nutrients to a diet that are lacking. When we need to rest, we should rest. Exercise when it is needed is holistic.
Reducing healthiness is a reductionist treatment. Surgery is typically reductionist, attempting to remove or minimise the undesirable. The majority of medications are harmful, making them reductionist.
Giving up a bad habit like smoking is a reductionist activity that has holistic effects, such as enhancing our health. Health is neither easy nor unimportant.
With holistic, health-improving measures, chronic disorders can occasionally be treated. Reductionist methods can be used to treat others. With a nutritious diet, chronic malnutrition can be treated. Physical, emotional, or spiritual abuse that is ongoing can be treated using reductionist measures and separation from the offender (s).
However, chronic illnesses are typically "managed "with reductionist medications, and is thought to be incurable. Smoker's cough is treatable "becomes the fatal condition COPD.

"Coaching is solely about the client. The role of the coach is to empower the client and give guidance , strategy, tools and sometimes expert advice if qulifed to.
The aim of the coach is to help the client move forwards in areas of holistic health and wellness and eventually not need a coach. Womens'Wellness and Happiness Defined study
Everyday Health conducted a survey on 3000 female Millennials, Gen Xers and baby boomers of diverse backgrounds and races . The survey was a deep look at what the participants considered to be a state of wellness and non wellness .
The findings were very complex , as I suspected defining well from unwell was much more than, 'are you disease free' 'eating healthy' 'exercising often'. Please find article 'The Ultimate Guide to Health and Happiness' and survey attached

Day 6 Self care challenge .. Take Ownership and Let go
Taking ownership means taking responsibility of what you experience in life . Even those experiences you did not initiate and you were an injured party to .. Taking ownership does not mean it is your fault, it simple means you are taking control of the experience and now choosing how you make the experience affect you from this moment forwards
When my daughter passed away , I had no idea how I was going to move about this planet without her . I had no idea how one lives on after laying your child's body to rest .. Then one day I stepped into meditation and gratitude and what was made clear to me was this
Though I will never get over the passing of my child , what I can do is choose how I use my grief. I can chose how I express my love for her and show my appreciation for having her in my life for 24 years . I used the grief that I was feeling and decided I was going to step back into my purpose and start to live my life according to my core values. One of which is to help other women thrive ( hence this group ). Most of my purpose filled work has been centered around women for the last 20 years and that is where I thrive also ..
By no means am I telling anyone how to deal with problems or issues they face
What I am saying however is within each of us is a little peace of power , a divine energy some would call that god, we can tap into and we can use it to bring about healing , self love , miracles and so much more, however, this can only happen if you understand you can change things by take ownership of what you have experienced and not let it consume you.
Whatever you have going on in your life , health issues , debt , loss .. Take ownership of it then find out how you can change things, transform it , or just let go of it

Let's talk..... Veganism vs Plant based diet accompanied by animal products .. I love this debate between the Chris Kresser acupuncturist functional medicine practitioner and author and the producer of The Game Changer James Wills..
These two drop studies in this debate like their dropping bombs, however, we all know the issues with epidemiology studies and clinical trials such as correlations / causative ,bias, confounders which in the case of plant based diet vs plant based with a smidge of quality animal products was not considered.
Lets look at Cancer in one study I read red meat increases your chances of getting cancer by 20% what was not mentioned in the study was the quality of the meat. Are the meat eaters eating from MacDonald's, Wendy's, are they consuming grass fed beef, or grain and soya fed cows, do they exercise or drinking as much water as the vegans studied . What is the general lifestyle of the meat eaters are they smokers etc .. So many factors to consider It almost renders the study pointless .. . Watch the debate tell me what you think ..
Also key factor : Who are the funders of a study .. Trust me that is a big bias

The Urge to Splurge
There is nothing wrong with spending money, after all, that's what money is there for, however, it becomes a problem when you are spending what you don't actually have .. Wanting to spend money is very much tied to our emotions and wanting to feel good ..
Studies have shown that people tend to spend more when they are feeling sad or lack control in other areas of their lives this is called Retail Therapy, this not only reduces feelings of sadness but also restores a sense of personal control. This, of course, is a very temporary fix with longer lasting ramifications(debt) ..
Before you purchase question yourself, ask yourself this.. Do I really need this right now ? Can it wait until I don't need to use my credit card to get it ?.. Step away from the computer or walk out the shop and think of the implications of the purchase you want to make .. Step aside and breath for a minute and ask how does this align with my core values .. #moneytuesdaywithlillyrosewellness

1. Read an inspiring book.
2. Workout – Weightlifting, yoga, hardcore HIIT
3. Drink beautiful herbal teas
4. Meditate, breath work / Gratitude and thanksgiving
5. Crystal therapy and aromatherapy
6. Write in my journal.
7. Visit thrift stores, antique store, metaphysical stores
8. Sit in silence and appreciate nature
9. Scrub up with some home-made body scrub and body butter
10. Have a vaginal steam bath

13. Connect with friends and family who inspire me and support my journey

How are you feeding your spirit today ladies ..
Today I spent time in gratitude , I expressed gratitude for all the people I have in my life
To the universe which I am apart of and sustains me
I have gratitude for those that came before me and after me who no longer operate fully on this physical relam .
When you are grateful for the things you have the universe keeps that vibration going and gives you more to be grateful for.
