[ sept 24th 2024 ] i decided to do the charles leclerc monza victory spread right after the johnny gaudreau hommage because it was simply into the same weekend & it made sense. charles' victory really made me happy since i heard that news. i knew i wanted to put this experience through words & i finally did it!! i love the result of it, i tried to write on two pages wide.

hi loves! got some news hehe sooo life update! (that nobody asked for lol)

i am officially changing my major! i’m no longer going to be an english teacher, education is not for me lol. i’ve started to hate reading and writing because of it, hence why i haven’t posted anything on tumblr.

SO after a lot of thinking and talking with all the important people in my life, i’ve decided im dreaming big and putting in the work to achieve this dream.

i’m going to try to be a sports journalist! it’s a lot of work and i may have to transfer schools for this but i am totally okay with that.

i’m ready to be the next erin andrews💋

SO since i am changing career paths, i will have more time and motivation to write on tumblr! i’ve missed writing my hockey aus, as well as my joe burrow series. i watched the bengals/chiefs game and omg i’ve been inspired again for joey b lol

i know you have the team building trip coming up, but you play one game and then you have three or four days off — do you like that set-up or would you rather have a couple right off the hop to get into a rhythm for yourself? uh — i’m never gonna turn down a team trip, so. uh, definitely excited. i mean, we’re focused on tonight, get a win tonight, and then really get to enjoy the next few days with the guys and stuff. so, i think it’s just motivation, i mean — you know, that trip’s gonna be a ten outta ten if we win tonight, so, we don’t want anything hanging over our heads so we’ve gotta get the job done first.

i recently graduated w a bsc in biology and want to go back for a masters in public health once i’ve worked for a bit

this is a new blog, but i’ve been on tumblr on-and-off since the superwholock days haha

this is mainly a canucks blog :) i’ve been a fan for my whole life and was practically raised by sedins hockey. my 2024-2025 canucks bingo!

in no particular order my fav canucks are demko, petey, quinn, and brock (i love the whole team tho)

some of my fav players from other teams are leon draisaitl, nico hischier, and matthew tkachuk!

may occasionally talk about other interests/hobbies/sports, especially if there’s team canada stuff happening :) the pwhl team i root for the most is montreal, but i’m hoping they expand to the west in the future!

i don’t have a sportsnet radio host level of knowledge about the canucks, but i do have a firm grasp of the team since i’ve followed them for so long!! i also know nhl rules really well by this point (which is made extra clear to me whenever i try to watch football and have no clue wtf is going on 😭), so if u have any questions/comments abt any of that stuff i’m happy to chat/rant!

re: ed's name, back in ye olde IAMP days circa 2009-2010 when I first posted their designs to the forum, there was a big interest in city rp's etc and i wasn't really prepared at all since, yknow, i like to mull things over for years and I was also being very obstinate about shipping since it's not a lens i usually approach things with. For a while they were just known simply as "Ed and Cal" while I pondered surnames for them.

Calvin was easy, I was able to both pay tribute to a historical figure and create a nice sounding alliterative name with McCall.

Ed was a lot harder, I thought about paying tribute to one of the famous five since I wanted to acknowledge women in history... and since I was spending a lot of time around Emily Murphy Park during undergrad at U of A, his name ended up coming from there. Something that I later regretted, of course, but it's been a dozen years and it feels too late to change it. As I've mentioned before, I did think about giving him a Ukrainian surname but the issue with living in Edmonton is any Ukrainian surname is going to either be someone you knew from school or a hockey player or something, lol.

I didn't think about Sinclair until like, the last few years as I was reading a bunch of early Fort Edmonton history; it's something that refers to one of the founding families as well as the strong Scottish/French influence from those days. Buuuuut it seems like a lot of work to change when he's lived in my head so long with this name. I guess we'll see what happens.
