School Festival ☆ Tamayori’s Haunted Dollhouse - Chapter 2

Location: Secret Room (Yumenosaki) Characters: Sora, Natsume & Tsumugi

Sora: HaHa~♪ Knock, knock ♪ Sora will knock on the door before entering!

HiHi~♪ Master~ are you there? Please answer Sora if you are~

Tsumugi: Oh, Sora-kun. Hello~♪

Sora: HuHu~♪ Hello, Senpai! Sora will return the greeting when greeted ♪ 

Umm, where’s Master~? Is it just you, Senpai?

Tsumugi: Yes, Natsume-kun isn’t here yet. The “Secret Room” is something like his own private room, so I’m worried he’ll be in a bad mood when he comes back.

Sora: HeHe~ Come to think of it, why is Senpai here?

Tsumugi: I was organising the underground archive as it’s part of what a student librarian does. I thought I could check in on Natsume-kun while I’m at it, so I peeked into the “Secret Room”.

But I couldn’t find Natsume-kun inside… I figured he might be doing an experiment further in, but the moment I stepped foot inside, you came along, Sora-kun.

You have something you wanted to talk to Natsume-kun about, right? If you don’t mind sharing with me, I’ll be happy to lend an ear.

Sora: Thank you very much! Actually, Sora met Yuu-chan and Hina-chan and we were talking about the “School Festival”!

They asked if “Switch” will be taking part… So, Sora came to ask Master~ if we are or not!

Tsumugi: Hmm~ I can’t say anything since I haven’t asked Natsume-kun about it, but I’ve never heard him bring up the topic of the “School Festival” before.

The festival is almost here as well. Perhaps he has no intentions of taking part.

Well, it’ll be my last “School Festival”, so it would be nice if I could make nice memories with everyone~

If I said that to him, he’d probably say to me, “We’re taking part just for you to make nice memories, Senpai?”.

I would also feel bad dragging everyone in to fulfil my selfish wish. 

Besides, if I’m not taking part, I can walk around and see what my friends are doing for the festival and make memories that way.

Sora: Senpai is an important comrade~ Please don’t feel bad dragging us into fulfilling your wish!

No, it’s because you’re our comrade! Sora wants you to involve us more~♪

Sora wants to take part in the “School Festival” more than anything! Sora wants to make nice memories with Master~, Senpai and everyone else…☆

Tsumugi: Sora-kun… There, there, you truly are a kind child.

I’m sure Natsume-kun would simply say no if I were to ask him, though. But if you were the one asking him, he probably won’t turn your request down, Sora-kun.

Sora: HoHo~♪ Then, Sora will ask Master~!

Natsume: Good Afternoon ♪

Sora: Ah, Master~! Perfect timing! Sora has a request for Master~♪

Natsume: HmM, what sort of requeST? If it’s a request from yOU, I’ll grant it to the best of my capabilitiES.

Sora: Umm, Sora was talking about the “School Festival” with Hina-chan and Yuu-chan just before!

We want to take part in the “School Festival”! Is “Switch” going to be in the “School Festival”?

Natsume: No, I hadn’t intended on taking part in the “School Festival”, so I didn’t submit an applicatiON.

Sora: Master~ We can’t take part? Sora wants to take part in the “School Festival” and make lots of fun memories with Master~, Senpai and everyone else~♪

Natsume: HmM… It’s somewhat difficult since it’s right before the “School Festival”, buT it’s a request from none other thAN Sora.

The Student Council has told me I need to submit a report on our activitiES and I had to think about our achievements within the school as weLL.

…AlrigHT, let’s take part in tHE “School Festival”.

Sora: Really? Yaaay, now Senpai can make good memories! HaHiHuHeHo~♪

Natsume: AhaHA. You’re so adorable jumping about like thAT ♪

Tsumugi: You’re going to make nice memories with us too, I see~ I’m moved by your kindness, Natsume-kun~♪

Natsume: ………… *Punches Tsumugi in the stomach*

Tsumugi: Ow!? W-Why did you hit me in the stomach? No violence, please~!

Natsume: It’s your fault because you said something unpleasaNT, Senpai.

Tsumugi: Huh!? What was unpleasant? I just thought you were kind. As I thought, young people are so hard to understand!

Natsume: AnywAY, I don’t want to waste any more time speaking with yOU. If we’re going to be taking part in the “School Festival”, we have to decide what we’ll be doing for iT.

Tsumugi: You’re right~ Food stalls are quite popular, so the other units may have already applied to do that.

Natsume: The cost of food in food stalls is loW, so it’s easy to make a profIT.

If we’re ignoring profit, then it’ll be a live performanCE, but I’m sure most of the other units would have also applied for thAT.

Tsumugi: We won’t know unless we check with the Student Council.

There weren’t any idol-like performances or booths during the “eve of the school festival”, so there must be a lot of units who will be doing a performance for the “School Festival”.

Hmm~ Speaking of standard things for the “School Festival”, how about a play?

Natsume: I have a feeling the Drama Club or the drama course will be putting a lot of effort into theiRS.

We could hold a gaming experience corner from the Gaming Club, bUT then that will just feel like we’re having people try out the clUB…

Sora: Come to think of it, Hina-chan and Yuu-chan said they wanted to do a haunted house! But they also said they didn’t have enough people~

Natsume: A haunted house? AaH, it’s a standard thing for school festivals, so that might be good toO. BuT, we’d also be understaffED…

HmM. We could keep thinking of what to do for the school festival, bUT it might be a good idea to check with the Student Council if any of the ideas are already takEN.

Tsumugi: I can go and check with them, then.

Tsumugi: No worries. I’ll head over now so please be good and wait here~♪

Location: Secret Room

Sora: Haha~ ♪ Knock knock ♪ When entering a room, you’re supposed to knock on the door!  Hihi~ ♪ Shisho~, are you here?  Can you reply to Sora if you are~?

Tsumugi: oh, Sora-kun, hello~ ♪ 

Sora: Huhu~ ♪ Senpai, hello!  When you get a greeting, it’s best to return it ♪

Um, is Shisho~ here?  Or is it just you?

Tsumugi: ah, Natsume-kun isn’t here yet.  But since this ‘secret room’ is his place, I’m worried about going in without him here.

Sora: Hehe~ ♪ Speaking of that, why are you here, Senpai?

Tsumugi: I was organizing the underground library as part of my work with the library committee, so I thought I would take a peek and see if Natsume-kun was in his ‘secret room’.  I couldn’t see him inside...I thought he might be conducting some experiments in the back, but when I came inside, there was just Sora-kun here.

Do you have an appointment with Natsume-kun?  If you have time, I don’t mind hearing what you’re up to?

Sora: thanks a lot!  Actually, Sora ran into Hina-chan and Yuu-chan earlier and we were talking about the ‘school festival.’  They asked if Switch was taking part in it...so Sora came to ask Shisho~ if we can join!

Tsumugi: n~, I can’t really say one way or the other.  Until now, Natsume-kun has never really discussed the ‘school festival’ that I know of.  It’s coming up pretty quickly, so I’m not sure if we’ll be part of it...well, it’s the last ‘school festival’ for me, so it really would be nice if we could join~ 

If you say that to Natsume-kun, though, he’ll probably just say something like “so, you only want to join to make memories with senpai?’  

I’d feel guilty just pulling you all along with me, in that case.  Memories can be made by just attending or going to see what your friends are doing.

Sora: Senpai is an important group-mate~  Sora doesn’t think you should feel bad if this is what you want to do!  Yep, group-mate!  You should pull us along with you more and more~ ♪

More than anything, Sora wants to be part of the ‘school festival’.  Sora wants to make lots of memories with Senpai, and Shisho~, and everyone......☆

Tsumugi: Sora-kun...of course, of course; you are a kind child.

I know that Natsume-kun won’t say ‘yes’ if I’m the one asking him, but perhaps if you take this on, he may not be able to refuse.  

Sora: Hoho~ ♪  Then Sora will be the one to ask Shisho~!

Natsume: Good Afternoon ♪ 

Sora: ah, Shisho~!  Perfect timing!  Sora has something to ask you~ ♪ 

Natsume: hmm, something to ask me?  If it is a request from Sora, I will do what I can to grant it.  

Sora: well, Sora talked with Hina-chan and Yuu-chan about the ‘school festival’.  Sora really wants to join!  Do you think Switch could do something for it?

Natsume: hmm, as I have not submitted the application, I was not planning on attending.  

Sora: so, it’s no good?  I wanted to join the ‘school festival’ to make a lot of memories with Shisho~ and Senpai and everyone~ ♪ 

Natume: hmm, it’s troubling to hear this now, even as a request from Sora.  The student council has just asked me to an activity report, so I had to think about the results of that...alright then, let’s join the ‘school festival.’

Sora: really?  Hooray, Senpai will get to make some good memories for sure!  HaHiHuHeHo~ ♪ 

Natsume: ahaha, it’s cute when you bounce around like that.  

Tsumugi: Natsume-kun will also get to make memories with us~  I’m moved by your kindness~ ♪ 

Natsume: ...... *punches Tsumugi in the stomach*

Tsumugi: ouch!?  Wh-why are you hitting me there?  Please stop the violence~

Natsume: Senpai said an unpleasant thing.

Tsumugi: eeh?  What did I say?  I thought I was being kind in a way that even children should be able to understand~!

Natsume: regardless, I don’t wish to speak with you anymore, I have no time for that.  If we’re to participate in the ‘school festival’, we need some sort of plan.  

Tsumugi: of course~  Since providing refreshments is a popular choice, other units have probably applied for that already.

Natsume: food stalls have a low cost, so it is easy to make a profit.

Lives or something of the like will not be nearly as profitable, and most units will think the same.  

Tsumugi: I don’t know what the student council would approve.  The ‘eve festival’ didn’t have many traditional lives, so maybe that means there’ll be more this time?  Hmm~  

Speaking of standard ‘school festival’ fare, what about a play?

Natsume: that would probably be something the theater department has already considered.  We could do a video game experience corner, in a way, it would be like joining the club...?

Sora: oh, yeah - Hina-chan and Yuu-chan talked about setting up a haunted house!  But they thought it wouldn’t work with just the two of them~?

Natsume: a haunted house?  Yes, that’s also common, and a good thought.  However, it would be a stretch even with three of us...

Hmm, it would be better to have a meeting to around ideas, but in the meantime it might be best to check with the student council about what plans are already set.

Tsumugi: I can do that.

Natsume: yes.  Good luck, Senpai.  

Tsumugi: right, then I’ll head straight to the student council room.  Be good kids and wait for me to return~ ♪
