Last Song: "Francesca" by Hozier. The way people head bang to metal is the way that I react when this song hits the first "I'd tell them put me back in it." I know we all love "Work Song," but this one is My Hozier Love Song. I told my husband before we got engaged that he was the love of my life, my last life, and my next, and this is just.. so on my playlist for him.

Favorite Color: Blue. I love all the blues. Light blues. Stony blues. Dark blues. Bright, obnoxious blues. Teal blues. Turquoise blues. Every paint color in my house is a blue variant.

Last TV Show: "The documentary "Bad Surgeon" on Netflix. I followed this case years ago when it broke in Vanity Fair, and all of a sudden, we've got this and a live action version coming to Peacock. Damn. Get your money, Benita. GET IT GIRL.

Sweet/Spicy/Savory: Savory or Spicy. I have POTS so I get to salt the shit outta my food. I also like spices. My white parents actually seasoned food, so if it's bland, it is not for me.

also? again, he is the ONLY ONE who actively is respectful to isabela, merrill, and fenris. he doesn’t do it for brownie points: he does it because he’s a decent human being treating another being with the respect they are owed. he even does it to those who do the opposite- aveline, varric, and anders- because. again. he’s decent. You are not telling me anything I have not already tried to convey to people. I especially cannot seem to convince people that his banters with Fenris are proof of his empathy and kindness, even though he stumbles. And I don’t fight that he stumbles and assumes what worked for him will work for others but it remains he saw Fenris struggling and tried to help! That’s more than most of the rest of the cast ever did for him.

It’s also pretty wild that while criticism for Aveline exists, she is still pretty popular, so even though she has some similar problems with Sebastian, hers get glossed over, while his are magnified. 

So I can’t help imagine someone’s indignant Hawke with tunnel vision threatening Sebastian for having the AUDACITY to CONSIDER to alerting the templars about the mages even though 1) He’s clearly conflicted about it, 2) Lives in a society where that would be the NORMAL opinion and 3) Never actually does it. Meanwhile Aveline is actually turning mages into the templars. Like...check her act 3 banter with Andy. She does it.

Doubtful. It can already take a while for her to fall in love with someone she sees every day and might even be sleeping with. She might be able to develop a strong friendship through correspondence alone, but I can’t see her fall in love with someone who isn’t present physically.

She likes them big and strong, with “arms made for hugging” or “huggers” as she calls them. The only exception was perhaps Daylen Amell, who is rather lanky, but he had a sexy voice (read: he was from Starkhaven).

A ship I have with said character: Obi-Wan/Satine, 'nuff said

A BROTP I have with said character: Satine and Padmé - even though Padmé's, like, a decade younger than Satine, they both have valuable experience putting up with Jedi bullshit 😂

A random headcanon: she says she doesn't like Obi-Wan's beard because it hides too much of his handsome face, but she's thankful for it when Korkie starts growing his own facial hair out because now he really looks like his pops and she realises just how much scrutiny she's managed to avoid r.e. Korkie's parentage just by virtue of Obi-Wan having a fantastic beard

General opinion over said character: Funnily enough, I didn't actually like her when she was introduced in S2 of The Clone Wars, but then the way her entire demeanour softened when it was just her and Obi-Wan made my heart melt, and that was it - I was hooked just like Obi. Now, she's one of my favourites to be introduced in TCW and I am eternally mad that I didn't watch it sooner, as in back when my brother would nag me to watch it with him when we got home from school. She deserves so much better than to be forgotten, and I'm with James Arnold Taylor on this - tell us their full story, Filoni!!

I'm going to preface this with the fact that I didn't actually know anything about Mara until I read a fanfic that mentioned her - her name seemed too specific to me for her to be an OC, so I hopped on over to Wookiepedia and read up on her.

General opinion over said character: Like I mentioned above, I don't know much about Mara, I've never read any of the media that she's in (not because I don't interact with Legends content, just that I've only recently gotten back into Star Wars as a whole), but she seems like an interesting character, and after reading about her I started wondering if the concept of the Inquisitors that I first experienced in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order came from Mara and her role as an Emperor's Hand

The art for this week’s chapter is by the incredible @paragonraptors​! This is the fastest commission I’ve ever gotten back, and he did an amazing job!! There are details here that I hadn’t thought of, that are now a part of the chapter because of how I love them. 

Excerpt from Chapter 8:

They part, turning about to face new partners, and he comes face to face with Hawke, pink-faced and smiling. He cocks a brow at her, and she matches him as he offers her his hand for the next round of steps.

“You’re shorter again,” he remarks as they line up again, a mix of women and men this time, her still at his side.

“They’re with Varric,” she replies, dropping her shoulder to slip between two others as the lines cross and they meet again. “Can’t do this in high heels. I’m hoping no one notices, so thank you for pointing it out,” she adds, grinning at him.

He takes her waist to spin them as he did with Merrill, and Hawke laughs as he pulls her with him, the same sort of laugh that he’d heard so many times at The Hanged Man, deep and sparkling, piercing through the music and chatter, straight to his heart.

For all that he dreaded it at the start, Sebastian finds the dance ends too soon, with all applauding each other and the musicians, who take only a moment’s pause before starting in on something slower and more refined. 

Sebastian is winded, not from the dance but from laughter that stole the air from around him. Hawke leans against him, patting his arm before picking up her skirts and walking to where Varric is standing beside Fenris, her shoes near his feet.

First Ever Ship: Sailor Moon x Tuxedo Mask (Serena x Darien) ((Usagi x Mamoru)). Listen, I was in middle school watching the English DIC dubs before school on the USA Network channel. I went to school and SOBBED in the computer lab as I told a friend about the episode where Darien/Tuxedo Mask dies.

Last Song: “Cradle” by Paris Paloma. I started to write with it on but it got way too fucking sad. I don’t think Asphodel needs that right now.

Last Movie: “Moonstruck.” It’s one of my all-time faves. A BRIDE WITHOUT A HEAD! A WOLF WITHOUT A FOOT!

Currently Reading: Nothing. Aside from my AO3 bookmarks. :D

Currently Consuming: Coffee. I really think this should be “perpetually consuming.”

Currently Craving: A Wawa sub. (*starts singing “Constant Craving” to herself ironically ‘cause I am always wanting a Wawa sub*) On a serious note, better treatment for my migraines. I’ve had them since I was 13, and I’m struggling a bit with them lately. The change in the weather is always a factor, but I’m getting these strange electrical pulse feelings in my auras, and I’m blowing through my monthly triptans with the amount/intensity of them since August. Also, I just started physical therapy for my messed up lower back, and that’s fun. :/
