Hey, not to out myself as someone who frequently uh, checks your comic even on hiatus, but heads up that the DoTL comic website is pinging as dangerous/risky connection by firefox.

Hello! Gosh, thank you for checking in with me about this!

This isn't at ALL how I wanted to announce this, but basically: Daughter of the Lilies and @hiveworks' relationship is ending, and everything is being moved to a new server! The site is down and being pinged as a dangerous connection due to the technical issues of this process.

UNFORTUNATELY, Hiveworks has made it clear in the past that they are slower or unable to respond to emails on weekends. I would ask for assistance via the official Hiveworks discord, but I was pre-emptively kicked from it for reasons I am unclear on (no explanation was offered and I was not notified that it would happen). Hiveworks has not yet responded to my email to them about this issue.

So, thank you VERY much for your patience during this time! I'll keep an eye out in case Hiveworks decides to fulfill their obligations and help me complete the migration process, but until then I will do my best to troubleshoot the issue on my own.

Again, I apologize! I did not want to have to make this announcement this way, but thank you again for coming to me to let me know! I'll do my best to keep you all updated moving forward. :)

The translation in Splat 3 has been kind of Weird, not with the major shit as far as I know (thankfully) but with little things on the side; they have little oddities that would not be fucking there if the English team were communicating well with the JP team, which doesn't inspire confidence in the quality of their already pretty Meh english twitter posts.

I would watch the info on Dedf1sh's Official Bio on their splatbands info section of their website:

seein' this request, i was a little taken aback. @firefox-official?? in MY office?? i was starstruck. but no matter, i needed to be professional. they were lookin' for one of their own posts. so, i strolled on down to the Search Bar and met with Don Google. i was sweatin'. i was about to ask the Don for a post made by their biggest rival in the criminal underworld. i walked up and asked for the post word for word. Google was bein' stubborn though, and i knew why. they were scared and pissed. so, after many attempts with no results, i demanded i use their advanced search method. filterin' for "club pants backward" as the keywords, i managed to find the post rather quick. the Don asked me if i really thought this decision was wise, but i said nothin' and filed the post away.

Hey so reddit is (rightfully) getting a lot of shit for the astronomical rates they're going to start charging app developers for accessing their API. This is going to force mobile users to use the official reddit app (which is shit and full of ads and trackers) as opposed to 3rd party apps which are cleaner, track less, and have a lot of really useful features absent from the official app.

Some users (like me) get around the app thing all together by accessing the site via a mobile browser, which can be set to desktop mode or old.reddit and works just great.

Or it did. Until this morning.

They have apparently de-optimized their site for mobile browsers and it's now nearly unreadable in Chrome or Firefox. For some reason my default Samsung browser is still showing what it looked like yesterday. Here's the difference. Same thread, two browsers, only one of which is actually accessible to anyone without owl vision.

Thanks for yet again choosing to alienate the user base who are the only thing who make your site exist.

Hey there! I'm definitely-zen-browser (he/they) the gimmick blog dedicated to spreading propaganda about the best* browser since sliced bread.

Zen is an open-source fork of Firefox, but with a lot of features and customization options that other browsers don't have. Vertical tabs are one big draw (hi arc users) but I think the best part is the themes. While there aren't many because Zen is very new, they can do a lot of things beside the color changes that you're used to. Not only can they change things like disabling the rounded corners of the web view or having the URL bar pop out when you click on it, you can have multiple of them at once! It's great!
