I think I heard there was a short story where Scotty and McCoy get mistaken for Kirk and Spock but imagine that instead of TOS it was SNW.

Imagine Chapel, Uhura and Spock being bff's and hanging out during shore leave only for some Romulan spy or something mistake them for Pike, Number One and Dr. M'Benga.

So those three have to deal with that nonsense as the rest of the bridge crew subsequently sorta panic and attempt to rescue them without altering the Romulan spy that they're y'know- Starfleet.

I think that the hijinks would be fun- especially the contrast between Uhura, Spock and Chapel trying to barter for their lives and trying to escape through the sheer power of science and badassery and the rest of the bridge crew also being badasses while also landing themselves in hot water accidentally.

It'll never happen but y'know- a human can dream.

(Note: Personally I'd also think it'd be kinda fun if in the cell right next to the three Kirk and Bones were just chilling and hanging out- having been kidnapped from their own ship a week ago. And Bones and Spock immediately hate each other-)

Here he is, the one and only Micheangelo - the youngest son and heart of the group. Mikey is also very friendshaped but dont let that cute face fool you, he is an agent of chaos and will prank you at any given time.

Hamato Micheangelo also known as Mikey (or Angelo, Micheal, little guy, tiny and Dr. Prankenstein among other nicknames) is the youngest son of Splinter and the most invested in human behavior, often roaming the sewers for different goodies like clothes and knickknacks. As the youngest, Mikey often uses his cute face to his advantage when getting into trouble or wanting something as he knows his brothers have a hard time saying no to him and also very much appreciates them protecting him, even if they can be pretty overprotective sometimes (specifically Raph and April). However, he can be quite the menace being the annoying younger sibling he is, Mikey loves playing pranks on people, mostly harmless ones, and just generally joking/goofing around with his brothers which some appreciate more than other - he is the lovingly adorable comic relief, or at least that’s what he describes himself as.

Other than Leo, Mikey isnt very interested in the whole Prophecy thing and while he does respect family tradition, he isnt really a big fan of some of the predictions and what his ancestors have done - he mostly goes by his own flow while still heavily being influenced by Splinter and his stories. Mikey’s destiny is to become the deity of the heart, being able to detect peoples feelings and even healing illness and wounds (which do take a lot out of him). These powers are arguably the strongest of the three however the most stressful and hardest to use since they need a lot of focus which Mikey lacks - thats why he uses them sparingly, at least the healing part, he has the whole “reading people’s emotions” down pretty perfectly. In a fight, Mikey is the most flexible one though very clumsy on his feet when he gets disctracted, however he also is the fastest out of his brothers (with Leo using his powers as an exception) and very talented with his Nunchucks among other things, being able to use anything as a weapon, like his YoYo.

As the youngest, Mikey is the most restless and truly the heart of the team, always wanting to help (which can get him into trouble as he’s aslo very easily manipulated) and cheer people up, the most creative one often in his own little world, making friends with any animal he finds left and right, cant sit still for five minutes and doesnt like being left alone - he seeks comfort in hugs and his comic books. However Mikey is also the chef of the family, interested in cooking shows, he often replicates what he sees and sometimes its pretty edible - other times its not. Not only a chef but also the most artistic person in the family, loving to draw and craft tiny bits, even trying his hands in sewing while sometimes picking up other hobbies and immidiatly dropping them from loss of interest. And out of all of his brothers, Mikey is also the most talented skater, sneaking out with April and Raph to skate and draw grafiti on walls while looking out for criminals and talking about comic books. Like Leo, Mikey is quite interested in cartoons/anime however does prefer comicbooks and does occasionally read normal books (like Animorphs or Warrior cats) while his taste in music is heavily influenced by american and internet culture - he is totally a TikTok kid who records dance and prank videos but never allowed to post them.

A few other FunFacts about the tiny guy:

He loves putting stickers on his shell, they make him feel pretty and April constantly brings him new sticker sheets with random motifs from her part-time job, thats why they change constantly

Can’t actually smell anything which is mostly the reason why his food sometimes gets burnt though his stomach can digest pretty much anything so he just eats it anyway, he also has red/green color blindness

Very hyperactive and bouncy, loves jumping around and doing little jigs while also whistling a lot - the most expressive, clumsy and loud one out of his brothers, his love language is mostly physical affection and he will randomly start hugging and theres nothing anyone can do about it

Mikey’s favorite siblings are definitly Raph and April whom he will hang around a lot even if he sometimes doesnt really understand them and their teen angst - but their music is cool and watching movies with them is his favorite activity even if they have to put on more kid-friendly ones for him (both of them are Horror movie nuts but would never let Mikey see one).

Feeds the alley cats once a day, he wanted to bring them home but due to Splinter, he decided not to - they do sometimes follow him into the sewers though

Mikey isn’t really fluent in any language, he knows some bits of japanese and french that he learned from his cooking shows and Splinter however he does know sign language and really wants to learn how to write in braille incase he would ever need it

Constantly has bandages from just being overall clumsy while also having to wear knee-protectors as his knees are very easily bruisable - he has quite a record of dislocating a knee or breaking a bone

redesigning Viktor

how to go about it? as i'm drawing up body shapes and silhouettes to use in a fun little attempt at redesigning a character such as viktor the machine herald with a more modern take or just a bit of a character update in general. at first i thought perhaps giving him a bad posture would be a good idea to use to accentuate the fact he carries a giant hand laser on his shoulder and give him a bit more of a feral vibe by essentially stretching him out like you see with most tech priests from warhammer since that's his original inspiration. but then i start to think it might go against his personality and character to be seen as something with a bad posture. plus if you were to put him besides singed their character silluhette would be far too similar which wouldn't be ideal in a character lineup.

so then a more tall and regal yet a bit inhuman stretching of the character seems a better choice. and i think it'll be what i end up landing on were it not for Jhin who could be seen similarly even with the weird pauldron on the side. but Jhin is very lanky and thin so if i give Viktor a bit more of a buff with his chest armor it shouldn't be a problem in a character line up.

then there's the question of whether or not to keep his hood on or off. if he has it on he sorta runs the risk of looking to similar to other hooded caped character which mostly include Ashe Xayah who both have feminine figure so maybe he won't run that risk too much. giving him a hood would arguably make him seem more shepherd or herald like befitting his title. the spiky mess of hair can just be underneath it the same way he hides his unaugmented parts of himself with a shawl/cape.

having his pauldron jut out and be kinda flat would separate him from getting confused with jhin who has a very tall upright pauldron. i am aware that their pauldrons are on the opposites sides but that hardly matters in terms of confusing their silhouettes.

arguably his claw is his most distinguishing feature if you were to put him in a character line up. tho making that work for him in terms of aesthetically pleasing character designs could prove to be difficult. but it's one of those curve balls you just have to roll with and try and see what works and what doesn't.

he's a spellcaster/scientist with a staff and with that comes the opportunity to display his aesthetic and personality through the object with which he does all his zappy science magic stuff. i'd say that keeping the wires but making them a bit more visible and overall giving the staff the appearance of some sort of container for the hexcore is a good idea unless i was to decide that the hexcore/his ult ability "chaos storm" actually remains in his chest and he just throws it out whenever he uses the ability like in his battlecast skin model. either way, i think the staff should look almost like a lightning rod with a container for the crystal or hexcore at the head of the staff. you could also implement some aesthetic choices of his cane from arcane into the design but i'm currently focusing on his league design. otherwise i'd say it would be a great idea to almost show signs of it being capable of somehow collapsing into a crutch or a cane with the push of a button on it somewhere, or just having it be able to double as a crutch.

i would like to incorporate more bronze or design choices that ties him together to his creation blitzcrank. it would only make sense that they would look similar to show Viktors style in engineering and making their lore connection a bit more recognisable despite their design differences. blitzcrank is very friendshaped but i think that generally making viktors armor somehow more angular and a bit more like scraps of metal welded together would accomplish this.

Viktor is a scientist who looks like a mage, or to use his original concept title he is a "hexmage" and in the league universe that's almost the same as saying he's an artificial mage made through or powered by hextech. but more so than that he is a leader type of character, in fact most of his the skinlines that he's in, he has to fill the role of villainous leader. admittedly in his league lore its a role he has very little interest in, aside from maybe using it as an opportunity to educate people. but it's a role league seems very intent on him filling somehow. And with that being the case then it's the most natural choice to give him a design the exudes some sort of power and authority or perhaps even charisma that people from zaun would see and think yeah i wanna follow that guy into a revolution.

with all that and a bit more in mind it's easy to see how difficult it is to actually redesign this guy. but fortunately his design is so very old that quite literally anything would be a step up from his current messy design (which i still find adorable in its own right but by god please this man needs an update)

Having trotted through a large collection of smaller conversations, we finally reach the central area of The Grove, where some tieflings are having it out with a group of the druids.

"Let my daughter go - right now!"

"She's a thief, hellspawn. And you will wait for Kagha's judgement. Now get back!"

"Argh. Let me through, mragrashem, or I'll rip your damn throat out!"

She looked ready to go through with it too, until the druid on the left straight up turned into a fucking bear, at which point the tieflings scarpered right quick.

I def need to play a druid so I can also do this.

If not friend, then why so friendshaped?

Friendshaped aside, these people are super skeptical of us. The lady in the center would have booted us out on our asses except apparently "Kagha" wants to see us.

Starting to explore the grove and talking with the other druids, we learn that Kagha is not the druid's leader, as I assumed. But she is the one behind the plan to eject the refugees. Halsin (who is possibly the leader I think?) was the one who welcomed them in in the first place, but he has currently disappeared, possibly held prisoner in the goblin camp. And he's likely the only one who can resolve the dispute in time to save the tieflings.

This sounds like we're probably gonna end up chasing down the goblins, but one step at a time.

Kagha is inside the stone structure that rings the grove, and she seems like a highly unpleasant person, as she is currently chewing out the tiefling child mentioned above with very little compassion.

"She stole the idol of Silvanus. She must pay the price. We will imprison the thief under guard of my serpent. When we cast out the rest, she may join them. Let the devil be an example. We will tolerate outlanders no longer. The grove will be made safe. The circle will be closed!"

You sound fun and like a paragon of nuance.

"Please! I'm sorry!" the tiefling girl pleads, her glowing eyes wide with fear as the snake circles her.

One of the other druids is trying to reason with Kagha.

"This is madness, Kagha! She's just a..."

"A what, Rath? A thief? A poison? A *threat*?" She glares down at the child with unmasked disdain. "I will imprison the devil. And I will cast out every stranger."

Hector finds he can't keep his mouth shut at this blatant, fear-driven cruelty. Why is he finding this so common in the world? He has been terrified every moment since he woke on the nautiloid ship, and it has not stopped him from being kind.

"Imprison her?" he says sharply, hearing his voice echo a little in the high-ceilinged cavern. "She's just a child."

The druid rounds on him, eyes flaring.

"She is a parasite. She eats our food, drinks our water. Then steals our most holy idol in thanks!" She looks at her companion imperiously. "Rath, lock her up. She remains here until the rite is complete." She pauses, and then the mask of leadership slips for a moment, and a flash of malice goes through her eyes as she looks down at the child. "And keep still, devil. Teela is restless."

The serpent hisses eagerly, eliciting a sharp squeal of fear from the girl.

The woman's force of personality is impressive - but Hector isn't going to let this go without an argument. This seems to be his standard operating procedure at this point - he really doesn't have a lot of experience with the conflicts of the real world, so he simply identifies the right and wrong of the situation in his opinion quite firmly and then pursues the right (usually to the benefit of the innocent, even at his own expense) until he runs out of options.

I was hoping for him to be more overwhelmed with the world but to be honest the game doesn't really support that as an option (unsurprisingly, really - it's not exactly the average background), so we're adjusting on the fly. :D The problem is often more that he doesn't always know the right thing to say to appease any particular person, there being a lot of nuance to the wider world that he is not familiar with, or sometimes he just biffs it because he's kind of awkward sometimes. :P He may be handsome but his charisma score is middling at best.

"You act rashly," he says firmly, mustering the air of spiritual guidance he learned in the temple. "As a cornered viper would. Free the child, or more tieflings will interrupt you."

In this case, he gets lucky - he's hit on the right note. Kagha hesitates, then scowls.

"Tsk. A gathered herd of the devils would indeed be disruptive." She lets out an irritated sigh, then shrugs. "It is as you say. Ssifisv - Teela, to me!"

The snake twists, then slides along the ground past the child, eliciting a whimper of fear. It comes into a coiled position at Kagha's feet and hisses angrily.

Kagha glares at the girl.

"Out, thief. My grace has its limits."

Hector turns to watch the girl scurry out of the cave - and in doing so, he notices Shadowheart convulse with a sudden noise of pain. Something on the back of her hand is glowing with a pale purple light.

"Nnggh. It hurts..."

The other druid - Rath - steps forward slightly, placatingly. "Thank you, Kagha. Master Halsin would--"

This name seems to rouse even more anger in Kagha than the child did, and she lashes out in the man's direction viciously.

"Halsin isn't here. Keep his name off your tongue, lest Teela pierce it."

I have two in fact! One is the Piper, because when I first read the books, I did not really care for him one way or another, but the fandom convinced me very fast that he is really cool actually! Minstrel, arsonist, herald... Who does it like him?

The other one is Dustfinger, haha. He used to be just... kinda there I guess? It's not that I disliked him or anything, but I just wasn't interested. And like, with how much many people love him, there was no way I would not come across interesting discussions about him that made me revise my opinion! He's neat! He's conflicted and he fucks up and he loves his wife! One of the guys of all time^^

he has always been a "not involved with blood family in the slightest" and has trouble expressing any feelings that are Super person, but one of the first cats he started opening up to was jelly in my mind. one of my favourite thoughts is when alonzo is struggling to express something / is going through a rough time / suppressing / etc,, she sits quietly behind him and braids flowers into his fur, a sort of symbol saying "you aren't alone in this, im here for you and others are too, this is a safe space for you" id like to think also that this is a sort of unspoken tradition in the jellicles as well :3

Absolutely! I like to think that Jenny takes remarkably after her mother, and always aimed to uphold the kind of supportive backbone she seemed to exude in spades (it never seemed to matter how much was going on with her; she always managed to make it work and Jenny greatly admires that). And Jelly lost her mother very young (to the point where she barely remembers her), so she knows how it feels to be without one, and adds that special level of sympathetic understanding for their situations, particularly those of the little ones who are dealing with or dealt with parental loss.

And aww how sweet <3 I feel like Jelly is just the universal "This cat is friendshaped" Queen, and often if no one else can get to someone, Jellylorum can. There's just something about her that's trustworthy and gentle, and she's just so cheery and busy all the time with her paws that other cats are drawn to her (especially cats who maybe didn't have the best kittenhoods- if Jelly can be on her hands and knees in the garden digging up worms to examine them with the kittens, anyone can be).

And Not Trapped In An Endless Void Of Actual Literal Video Game Pixelated Hell? so sometimes he has a bad day or two trying to sort his life out and reader usually gives him space, of course, but one of those days reader tries to help calm him down with like actual physical touch and glitchy, being (well) glitchy, accidentally hurts them unintentionally

that day might be one of the only days glitchy lets reader see him cry. he would be so afraid of hurting and ruining the one being in that world who loved him unconditionally and wanted to help him. what if it had been worse? what if he had accidentally killed you? what if -

it would take a couple more cuddles and maybe a weighted blanket to help calm him down after that and a lot of reassuring words

•He's incredibly asocial to the point that he uploads online and never talks to anyone. Ever. He's the type to be your friend on discord and then go offline or DND forever

•He loves sweet things! Almond cookies are his favorite

•He lives with his father and grandmother and has 2 older brothers(24 and 19 respectively)

•(In our world terms)He's half pakistani/half british(on his mother's side) but because of how he was raised he knows bare minimum about his father's culture and asking his grandmother(who isn't the most talkative and only knows a bit of English) is a dead end

•Back to the Twisted Wonderland, his grandmother is from the Scalding sands and moved to the Queendom in her youth. Her son and grandkids have only been raised(in turn) knowing the Queendoms culture firsthand

• His father is a very busy man who works long days. Fóv was basically raised by his brothers

•His species is classified as "imp"! He's good with extreme temperatures aswell as having a tail(or wings, but his variant has a tail-)
