What waits for them deep beneath the streets of Metropolis?

IT CAME TO ME IN A VISION EARLY ONE MORNING, AND IT HASN'T LEFT MY BRAIN.

I am writing a fic about it, though it isn't my number 1 priority wip atm cuz its just smth silly and self-indulgent, but because I now know there's someone out there REALLY DIGGING THIS IDEA, it'll be moved up on my list by a few notches lol

This AU is heavily focused on comedy and action, so rather than assigning TD characters to PR roles that they'd actually fit, I went with what would be REALLY FUNNY to write about.

So the Rangers consist of Harold (red), Duncan (Black), Noah (blue), Courtney (yellow), and Heather (pink).

These guys were assigned to work on a lab/project for their science class, specifically on the effects of pollution, littering, and climate change. No take-backsies, they're stuck with eachother and 4/5 of these guys don't want to fail... 4/5 of these guys are also assholes.

After some healthy doses of bitching, they agree to meet up and study an abandoned rig. But GASP! They get attacked by some guys... made of putty? Damn dude that's CRAAAAAAZYYY

... this is specifically based on the MMPR tv show, and I'm very tempted to draw the putty monsters exactly like how their costumes look in the show (silver fullbody suits with seams visible and monster claws/masks.) Listen, the putty monster costumes bring me A LOT OF JOY, I genuinely love this show dO NOT @ ME (unless its for mmpr fanart... please @ me...)

Anyways, these assholes fumble through the fight: Harold shows off the skills he learned at Defensive Steve's Defense Class, Noah gets thrown off a small cliff because he weighs less than a paper weight, Courtney feels the exciting rush of bloodlust for the first time... Normal stuff, really!

Of course, this ends up with all 5 of them being summoned (lazer kidnapped) to Power Rangers Headquarters! And it's revealed that Zorgon's role was taken by Chris McClean I'm SORRY. Look, it's funny. He has the same personality he does in canon, but instead of running a reality TV show centered around teens, he has to babysit a small group of teens who hate eachother. This will be really funny in execution, I promise.

Some of the kiddos have a few words to say about the Dinozords... cuz half of them aren't even dinosaurs. Also, they do NOT like the idea of being forced to work together on a color-coded superhero team of all things!

Drama Bot is Alpha, it focuses on the team's publicity ratings.

Rita Repulsa? Meet Blainely McBlamey!! SELF EXPLANATORY!!

I love Rita Repulsa, so Blainely fans consider this a very high honor.

The Green Ranger is Alejandro.

I plan on having the AU mostly focus on campy episodic adventures with some character development sprinkled in, and having the more important PR plots be... well... important and more thoroughly executed, if I ever get around to it.

As for the main gang themselves?

Harold is quite stoked and honored about being a superhero, and quickly ends up being the team leader and team morale – due to his smarts, and quick-to-forgive personality. He doesn't take shit from anyone, but he also won't hold grudges, especially on the battlefield... Though he does have a slight problem with going on long tangents about certain factoids (same...)

He has a vast array of skills and knowledge at his disposable... It all depends on how/when he uses said skills lmao. So far he's probably the least developed one in this AU, right next to Duncan. That'll change when I write more of them.

Courtney? Oh... Oh you KNOW she likes being a Power Ranger. She preaches about the importance of morals, and upholding laws, and how some people ought to respect the responsibilities that come with being a Power Ranger... and some people are more deserving of being recognized as heroes than others. Courtney I love you and I hope I do you justice... mwah... She very much likes taking the lead, and claims that she should be the team leader... and valedictorian, and class president... Oh yeah, you KNOW she worries about her grades a lot, especially after becoming a Ranger. She becomes a lot more productive with her passion as the story goes on, and learns to trust and respect her teammates.

Noah takes on the role of reluctant tactician... Aka the smartass. Physical activites aren't his forte, and he plans on keeping it that way. He relies on his Zord the most, and when that isn't available he resorts to evasive maneuvers and hiding while the other guys handle it. Him staying on the sidelines, however, does lead to him being more observant to the enemies' weaknesses, which will eventually lead to him having a more active role in the team as the main tactician. I'd imagine once that happens, he'll have a lot of interesting back-and-forths with Harold and Courtney. Still a sarcastic, laidback asshole, but more active in his participation when it comes to the team.

Duncan... is more aligned with his season 1 and early season 2 personality. No cheating or love triangles here. He is still an ASSHOLE, though, especially to Harold and Noah. They don't take his shit. I dont have much to say about him yet iM SORRYYYYYY

Asshole punk with a heart of gold... that's his schtick alright...

HEATHER MY BELOVED. She looks hella good in pink and she knows it. She doesn't like being a part of this team, but by god will she put the effort in, because she doesn't want to die to some clay-freak. Her zord-buddy is the pterodactyl, which she finds to be quite convenient, considering it's on the smaller side and can fly, very easy for aerial advantage. Very hellbent on defeating Blainely McBlamey, because once she's defeated they can all go on with their lives. Presumably... evil grin...

I don't know how to really put it in more fancy words, but like... Heather is the most active participant along with Harold and Courtney. She's very headstrong, tends to butt heads with Courtney a lot (not only are they both stubborn, but they also both view themselves as the leader of the group. Nobody realizes it's Harold, not even Harold himself, dramatic irony at its finest.)

Everyone on the team loses their shit when Alejandro (the enemy[tm]) gets a frickin' DRAGON-ZORD of all things.

Idk how to include Max in this but the idea with that Neil remarried on Tamarian (Starfire's home planet). Let's say that Billy's mom died from being poisoned by Neil's supporters in the palace and while he wants Max to be the heir over Billy. Max had an illness as a child robbing her of the ability to fly. Which is like a huge thing on their planet.

But what better way to get rid of Billy than to sell him off to a trade that keeping threatening war? Billy gets experimented on and that gives him his abilities. Course he escapes and kinda holds a bit of a grudge.

Anyways yeah, this au is probably gonna happen cause I got ideas XD

But also probably gonna write a fic about this and Billy and Steve end up alien married because of some loophole in Tamarian laws. Robin gets introduced to Billy's best friend and personal guard Heather cause they both deserve it

There’s an annual walking marathon across the US composed of 100 walkers. They are not allowed to stop walking or slow down below 4 MPH for any reason. If they do, they get 3 warnings before they're shot dead. The last person standing gets whatever they want for the rest of their life.

Neil enters the marathon along with many other characters, who all have their own motivations. This will not be a happy AU and will feature MANY character deaths (sorry. kinda). Most of this has been planned out. 

12 Minutes AU [WIP] — Andrew gets stuck in a short loop. He repeatedly tries to stop Nathan's people from breaking into their home disguised as cops to kill him and Neil. With each loop, he learns more secrets and just how much of a liar Neil can be.

Heather Chandler went to Veronica's desk. She's been looking for her for the past 8 minutes, they were supposed to have lunch together. But when she got to Veronica's desk, she wasn't there.

Instead there was this dude in a trench coat.

"Hey." Called Heather.

The man turned. "Heather Chandler....fancy seeing you here."

"You're...Jason Dean, aren't I right?"

"Mhm." He nodded. "JD for short."

"Hm... So." She circled him. "Are you here to..." She scoffed. "Fight me?"

JD chuckled. "Yeah."

Heather raised an eyebrow at him.

"No, no, uh...I'm just here to give this to Veronica." Said JD, as he held up a paper bag.

"You and Veronica know each other?" Asked Heather, trying to keep the growing anger within her.

JD nodded. "She actually...saved my life."

Heather nodded. "Yeah, she's dead when she gets here." She thought to herself.

Meanwhile, Veronica is running up the stairs, trying to hurry up before Heather realizes she's gone. As she made her way, she ran into Betty and Martha.

"Wait, why are you here?" Asked Martha.

"Yeah, weren't you supposed to have lunch with Heather?" Asked Betty. "She's been looking for you since earlier."

"Shit- YEAH I KNOW I'M GOING!" Yelled Veronica as she startes running again.

But when she reached her desk...she saw both JD and Heather.

Shit.

"Veronica! There you are!" Said Heather, with an uncharacteristically cheerful voice. Yeah, I'm gonna die. "I've been looking all over for you. Where have you been?"

"Uh...I was...uh..." Veronica tried to think of an excuse. "It's my uh...dad, he wasn't feeling well." Good job Sawyer.

"Is he okay? Come on, let's go to him-" Heather tried to say.

"No, no. It's fine...he's feeling...better." Said Veronica.

"You sure?" Asked Heather.

Veronica nodded.

Then, JD made his way towards Veronica. Heather leaned on the wall, watching them intensely.

"Uh...what is...what is this?" Veronica asked JD.

"Just a...token of my appreciation." Answered JD.

"Oh...you didn't need to."

Heather glared at them both.

"Uh...."

There was an awkward silence before JD broke it. "I think I better go."

Heather internally cheered. Finally, and don't come back.

"I really just wanted to give that to you." Said JD. "And if you have the time...I'll visit your house."

Heather then turned to Veronica.

Veronica, scared shitless at Heather's stare, tried to respond to JD. "Uh- sure." Fuck. "Yeah."

JD smiled. He then turned to Heather, and with a seething voice. "Heather, nice meeting you."

Heather didn't respond and just smiled condescendingly. JD then left.

"Yeah... I'm dead."

World’s Finest ch. 2

Avery Tremblay is walking home in Metropolis when her phone receives a notification that there is a metahuman attack going on. Rather than continue on her way, she calls upon her instincts as a reporter and investigates, something that leads her to a roadblock where a familiar detective is assisting beat cops in manning the perimeter. Avery simply can't resist the urge to talk to her.

Later, after the attack is over, Akko and Diana take the time to talk to each other and deepen their relationship through the act of supporting one another.

Honestly? I have no idea. Most of my fics have relatively happy endings. I’m gonna say... Lasting Moment (Pipabeth, alternate universe) because it’s the one that is the most happy at the end compared to the beginning.

I have not but if I’m ever bored enough and have the inspiration I could translate perhaps a drabble or two into German or Portuguese.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Not really. Like, I started one with my friend but it is not finished. Lemme just say, very difficult to co-write fanfic.

14. What’s your all time favorite ship?

Based on ones I’ve written I’d say Pipabeth as I enjoy writing them but honestly? Despite writing a majority ship-based stories and really enjoying them, I’m not a huge shipper in general. I’m rather neutral on ships for the most part.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I have no published WIPs, mostly because I need to have the fic at least 75% of the way done to even consider publishing it, but I’ve had stuff in my drafts forever. I’ve got the one where the PJO kids are doing Spamalot, the Piper Friendship Fic, the Valgrace College AU, the one where Piper is just jealous of Percy, the Fierrochase beach fic. And more. So, so many more, so if you’re interested...

16. What are your writing strengths?

No clue. Does being really happy with most first drafts count?

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Commitment. I usually have larger ideas than I know how to portray and I tend to rush the ideas that I have which is why most of my fics are pretty short.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

With the languages I speak I haven't done this in a fic yet, but if the opportunity ever arose I’d be very excited. Plus, I have done lines of dialogue in Portuguese for an original short story (unpublished).

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Oh. Ew. Harry Potter :( It doesn’t exist anymore nor do I know what it was about but I can guarantee you it was the first.

20. Favorite fic you’ve written?

I’m not really sure. I don’t really remember how much I like things I’ve written. I’m just gonna suggest some I really like and haven’t mentioned instead of one favorite: Wedding Dances (Sadie/Lacy future fic), Red Means Power (Heathers fanfic), and The Worst Possible Time And Place (Rachabeth as superheroes).

🌙, 🌝 + 🌈 for soul! I was intrigued by a comment you made about how the fic you're writing is different than what a lot of people are reading, so I'm curious about your thoughts on it.

THANKS PAL. I remember that comment and what it was about so hopefully I can elaborate in this, my addled state of mind.

🌙  What time of day do you prefer to write? Why?

First thing in the morning. If I let the day get in my head, then I find I can't focus, or get in the right headspace. I write with noise canceling headphones on, in fullscreen mode on Scrivener, with one of those binaural noise apps playing white noise in my ears. I'm capable of writing anywhere, but I prefer when I can focus and drown out the world and just grind out a couple thousand words in an hour.

🌝 Who is one character you haven’t yet written for that you would like to?

Robin! A long time ago, post season three I started a Robin/Tammy thing that never went anywhere, so I guess I can't say I've never written for her. But I've never written anything long, and I've never posted anything for her. I would like to, though. I like Ronance, and I think there's something there I could play with, but I also like the idea of giving her an OC love interest, or someone out of left field like not-dead-Barb or not-dead-Heather (so many not dead ladies), or Eden or Kali or another character that hasn't been super developed.

🌈 What inspired you to write to get my soul know again?

Ooh, ooh! Okay, so, one of my favorite things to do as a fic writer is write mundane AUs where I spin out the most realistic possibilities I can come up with for characters from supernatural shows or superhero shit or whatever. I don't know why, but it turns my crank. So after a brief (BRIEF) dip into the uh... other Eddie ship... (they don't know me and I don't go there anymore)... I decided I wanted to try my hand at Hellcheer. I'd been reading it since the show launched and my beta and I were like "HOLY SHIT THE CHEMISTRY" but hadn't actually tried writing anything.

So I did my usual "what's a logical future for these goobers?" brainstorming, and the idea of Eddie getting out of Hawkins with his CDL jumped out at me almost immediately. Chrissy was a little harder, but the part of me that was raised around a lot of guys like Jason wanted to lean into the darker, nastier sides and play with what happens when a guy like that finds out he's not special. Much like in the show, where Jason's nice guy veneer shattered when faced with Chrissy's death.

I mashed those two ideas together, and I got something where I knew I wanted to tell the story of Chrissy's recovery mingled with Eddie's figuring out who he wants to be as a man, and how he can emulate Wayne's steadiness while also remaining true to himself.

Going back to my comment, I think that a lot of times in stories about an abusive partner--many of which I've read and, well, enjoyed seems the wrong word, but appreciated--there's this constant threat of that abuser popping up and ruining things. Which, I think, a lot of people were expecting to have happen early on in Soul. Like, when is Jason going to pop out from behind the bushes with a gun? Is he going to steal Chrissy back? Is he stalking them? But I knew from the start that this wasn't about re-traumatizing Chrissy with Jason's bullshit. I want her to heal, with Eddie, on a road trip where she rediscovers the parts of herself she's been keeping locked away. Which, ultimately, makes it a different sort of story than what a lot of "running from my abusive spouse" narratives end up being. Which isn't to say that Jason won't be in the story--he will--but not in a way where he eclipses the narrative, or is allowed to cause significant damage to Chrissy's healing.

I hope that giant, intoxicated ramble made some semblance of sense!

About time I introduced some Sunflower AU characters of mine for those who don't know them, part one

As it's written above, this is Iris. Iris is secretly some kind of a superhero/guardian in the city (along with three others), she uses her abilities as a phoenix to help people in need.

Passivemare took an interest in this lady, since she resembled Vera (her ancestor from Dreamtale many years ago). You'll see Passive's history with Vera right below.

This is Vera:

Vera, as I mentioned above, is Iris' ancestor from over 600 years ago. Vera lived in Lanny's magic empire, she was always quite the curious one. She wished to see the other empires, and one day visited the Feelings Empire.

After a long time of flying, Vera landed in the palace's garden, where the tree of feelings resided. She just wanted to rest a little, but soon she was seen by Passive and he called for the guards, thinking she was an intruder. Vera got scared and immediately flied away to escape. But Passive couldn't forget about the beautiful lady he saw. He wanted her to be his.

Passive told Nim about Vera, and Nim immediately ordered the guards to find her and bring her to the palace. After a few days, the guards had managed to capture Vera, and she was brought to the palace. Vera explained to the tyrants this was all a misunderstanding, and apologized. But Nim ordered for her to be thrown into the dungeons..

Passive offered Vera to be his slave in exchange of not being thrown into the dungeons, but Vera refused and Passive slapped her in the face. Vera spend weeks in the dungeons. Nim had ordered to let her starve to death down there, but Alphonse and Frieda would go to Vera time to time and bring her food and clothes, and these three formed a good friendship.

Passive would go down and still insist on convincing Vera to be his slave. He was mesmerized by this phoenix's beauty and he wanted to have her all to himself, but no matter his efforts, Vera kept refusing his offers and kept rejecting him. She was disgusted of Passive.

Soon Lanny came in search for Vera, and Nim let Vera go and hesitantly apologized for treating her that way. And things went well, until the wars begun. Vera fought for the Magic Kingdom with all her strength and survived the wars along with the remaining phoenixes from her tribe. She never saw Alphonse again, and was deeply upset about Frieda's death.

Back to Iris:

-Her hero name is Indigo, her phoenix form resembles Vera a lot

-She used to have a small crush on Dream/Yume, the two know eachother.

-Iris had two little sisters and one adopted kid, Passive ended up killing them to make Iris accept him. Iris was forced into a romantic relationship with him.

-Her and Ink have a sibling relationship

-Alphonse found out about Iris being Indigo and once kidnapped the poor woman, and for what?

"Look, don't panic. I just need you to be my friend."

"AND YOU HAD TO KIDNAP ME JUST TO ASK ME THAT?!"

-Iris listens to Hamilton and Heathers

-Sometimes she cries when she remembers her dead daughter and sisters, and wants to be left alone when she cries. For this reason she got a fake butterfly to scare Passivemare away because she doesn't want him to see her cry- (Yes when I asked Rose what Passive was scared of, she said he was scared of butterflies-)

-There are just a few other superheroes/guardians like Iris, and she is their leader! :DD

-She and the group she leads are called T.M.P or The Multiverse Protectors, because they come to aid other AU's that are in trouble and are a huge help for Ink.

-She comes home late sometimes, her job as a lawyer and the responsibilities as a guardian take a lot of her time and energy.

-Iris tends to be paranoid and anxious sometimes, and the reason she's still with Passive is because she slowly grew attached to this idiot. Basically, Stockholm Syndrome. Iris has none else anymore, only her abuser. But that doesn't mean she will let him take advantage of her 24/7. She's a strong and smart woman, and she does want to get free of Passive.

-Iris believes there's good in everyone, so she puts up with Passive's bullshit and usually tries to talk to him and get his rotten heart to change.

-Passive made her drift away from her teammates and other people in her life. When Dream notices her odd behavior and asks what's wrong, Iris only comes up with excuses and avoids him.

-Passive stalks Iris 24/7 and she can feel his presence, but can't do anything about it.

-When Passive killed her sisters and her adopted daughter, Iris fell into a spiral of despair and depression. Poor woman was miserable. She tried to suicide once to join them, but Passive didn't let her. And she's grateful he did, because she doesn't want to lose against him after all he has done to her.

-Iris finds enjoyment in scaring Passive with the fake butterfly, it's her little revenge.

-Iris knows Swap, she stopped by his AU to help once, and healed his legs with her healing tears.

-Only Alphonse, Passive and T.M.P know Iris' identity as Indigo.
