One of my favourite aspects in the season 2 of Heartstopper is how unapologetically intolerant everyone is towards homophobia. Like.

Harry showing up at Tara's birthday party and Charlie shutting the door in his face despite that apology.

Nick freely calling out his brother's biphobic behavior. Tori literally sinking her nails in David's arm when he was mocking Charlie and Nick and planning to out them.

It's so refreshing. There's no moment where someone asks Charlie or Nick to be the "bigger people" and forgive anyone who undermined, mocked, dismissed, and harassed them for their identity.

Because that shit shouldn't be tolerated ever and it's not acceptable. Queer people aren't here to be your redemption arc.

I recently figured out the fact that I'm aromantic so I didn't think it would be a good idea for me to watch the new Heartstopper season cuz of the insane amount of romance

but boyyy was I wrong. This story is about so much more than just romance, which is what I want to talk about

Issac and Charlie saved lives (mine)

I felt touched by this scene, specifically. I don't know If all aromantic people feel this way, but I personally have a strong fixation on friendship with no bounds. By that, I mean that instead of romantic experiences, I'd just like to have a few good friends with whom I can do all sorts of things, even things that might often fit under the "romantic" criteria (i.e. watching movies together as they lay their head against my shoulder), at the same time, both of us considering such things as friendly measures of showing attention/appreciation.

I'm really thankful for the attention that Issac gets as an aromantic character. It feels natural and I relate to him

sorry, reading the variety article and this quotes : “And Joe’s quite tall, so I kept being like, ‘Can we get a higher angle on Joe so that he feels less huge?’” ... it cracks me up, cause you know what the solution is? put kit connor next to him. i literally forgot joe is tall until he was looking down at agatha in 1x05 because i'm used to kit towering over him.
